Ooh Imps, Olives and Whim are all preggo with twins. Can I have twins too please? I love all the Christmas twin names, especially Mince and Pie - they work for any combination of genders too. Although I am brooking for one of each.

Maybe I agree re the ICs - you need to break out a posho test in a day or two. Same goes for you Whim.

Imps7 · 30/03/2012 09:19

Oh, re: OBEM - loved it this week. The look on the twins' dad's face when his babies were born was beyond magical.

BeedleTheBard · 30/03/2012 09:18

and is whims going to join in with the twins theme and buy and extra boy for half price? :o

Imps7 · 30/03/2012 09:17

Maybe are you using internet cheapies? 'Cos I understand that they're a bit tight on the amount of dye they use so some will only ever come up with faint lines - the dye must vary so some will be fainter than others.

Oh I am soooo excited about getting the opportunity to do two gymnastics routines today/this weekend? Nothing could make me happier than 2 BFP confirmations!!

Ooh, got to go for a sit down - Twin 1 (Mince) has been kicking me in the ribs all morning. Luckily Twin 2 (Pie) is better behaved.

ScarlettInSpace · 30/03/2012 09:09

OMG maybe how do you know whims is having a boy? I didn't realise you could buy GSPS [gender specific pee sticks] Grin

NoMaybeAboutIt · 30/03/2012 09:04

And how bout Mulled and Wine Imps? Chocolate and Log?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 30/03/2012 09:02

Morning all, sorry for the late update, DH came in off of nights, and woke me up at 6 with breakfast in bed then I nodded back off to sleep Blush I have the day off today as it was my Dad's birthday yesterday so we are spending the day in London and going to Borough

BeedleTheBard · 30/03/2012 08:55

sounds like a proper line to me whims (not that I've ever seen one, but still!) Looking forward to the confirmation on the FR

I've thought of a few more names for you imps
Holly & Ivy
Baubles & Tinsel
Santa & Claus

ScarlettInSpace · 30/03/2012 08:42

Good Morning smacketeers,

Thank you all for your comments yesterday, I was a floppy fish Smile, I do feel a lot better today, I think it was just a shock that's all, and you are all completely right about being taken seriously and putting cogs in motion etc. And I will do a dance outside the consultant's office waving my aggreeable pee stick when I find one singing Ironic by that mard-arse Alanis Morissette. And I think he will actually be pleased to see me, he is a very nice man.

OH had another chat with me this morning, he pointed out that no-one has said we can't do it together naturally, just they can't definitively say we can so if I don't want to take 5 years trying [playing to my blatant impatience] we have to give nature a nudge that's all and to stop wallowing. He said the same as imps if anything else wasn't working properly I'd go get it fixed without a second thought. Men are so boringly pragmatic Grin

Ooooh and the chances of getting twins from IVF are like about 30% lol

What about Cherry & Brandy for Crimbo twins names?
Or Flippin & Hardwork? Grin

My friend's friend had twins called Milly & Willy Shock poor kids they were little horrors too iirc

I luff having you lot to talk to about this shit everyone in RL would think I was bonkers

Go whims and maybe you've got about 40 hours left to confirm in March Grin

whimsicalname · 30/03/2012 08:42

imps i kind of am several days post af. i assume a cycle length of 30days, and am now on 35. Last cycle was only 24, and the longest previous I think was 34. I'M a biT ALL OVer the place.

Aargh, toddler helping with typing.

Off to school n shops.

Back for a wee and news in a bit.

A good day to you all.

TheLittleFriend · 30/03/2012 08:35

that sounds promising whims. I probably would splash out on some FR in that situation. Good luck, I'm brooking with everything I've got!!!

Imps7 · 30/03/2012 08:35

Errrr Whims isn't that the way pee sticks are supposed to work? I.e. the preggo line doesn't come up straightaway unless you're several days after AF??

whimsicalname · 30/03/2012 08:32

Morning all. Just nipping in whilst being clambered over.

piapitub this morning and have the same result, ie immediate test line followed after several minutes by a very faint shadow line.

I'm convinved the sticks are at fault, so I'm going to hot foot it straight to boots after school drop for a 2 pack. One for today, one for tomorrow with fmu.

Do we think first response are the most bestest?

TheLittleFriend · 30/03/2012 08:31

Oh Imps, I'm so glad you've decided to name one of the twins after me. Where does the other name, Donkey, come from though? WinkGrin

Maybe what is "pretty much a BFN"? does it mean there was still a shadow of a line? If it was afternoon pee then you've no reason to bawl my love. You're still totally in the running for a good strong BFP with FMU soon xx

whims any news from you this am?

Sorry about af beedle. We'll be due about the same time though Smile

GreenOlives · 30/03/2012 08:11

have you not have to - sigh!

Meant to say did everyone see the twins on OBEM this week? How gorgeous, I think I shall have twins too, in fact it's decided, I am now 8 days pregnant with twins and finding the pregnancy remarkably easy so far Grin

GreenOlives · 30/03/2012 08:07

Or Misel and Toe?
Or Ruldolph and Prancer?
There are so many lovely Christmas combo names for your twins Imps! Grin

Beedle Sorry to hear about CD1, but Easter hols is perfect timing for SWI Wink When I had the CP at Christmas my period afterwards was no heavier than normal but was maybe a bit more painful.

Bartlet So glad to hear that your body is getting back on track, sounds like you may also be SWI over Easter as well Grin

Maybe and Whims have to peed on a posh stick yet with FMU? I am still brooking hard for a double whammy BFP today!

Imps7 · 30/03/2012 07:44
Grin
BeedleTheBard · 30/03/2012 07:34

now you're not taking this seriously imps, you've only got 9 months to decide on their names you know

Imps7 · 30/03/2012 07:27

Or Little and Donkey

BeedleTheBard · 30/03/2012 07:25

Congratulations imps , hope its boy/girl so you can call them mary and joseph :o

Imps7 · 30/03/2012 07:13

Beedle, yes I think I've had a near miss in the past (well not really given that I've been pregnant the whole time) and the bleeding was a lot heavier. I also had some very strange spotting in the run up to AF.

Quite bizarrely, last night I had some ov pains and EWCM and both yesterday and this morning I have had - to put it bluntly - the proper horn. Given that I definitely did have a temp rise yesterday and EWCM had dried up during the day, I can only assume that last night's pains/EWCM was a second ovulation and I am now pregnant with twins.

this is going to make the next 38 weeks even harder than it has been already.

GenericDietCola · 30/03/2012 07:05

Oh sorry to hear that Beedle but great news re the Easter shagging.

Bartlet I forgot to say earlier hurrah that your bleeding has stopped. Hope you are feeling better by the day.

Maybe and Whim what is up with these sticks? I hope they give you the right answer today.

BeedleTheBard · 30/03/2012 07:00

Actually I meant to ask, for anyone who thinks they might have had a near-miss in the past was the bleeding heavier than usual?

BeedleTheBard · 30/03/2012 06:58

Thanks, imps 1 day down only another 280 days to go :o

Also waiting for news from whims and maybe ...

Imps7 · 30/03/2012 06:46

Grrrr Beedle sorry that she got you. You are looking fab on Day 1 of your pregnancy though - properly blooming.

Maybe and Whims I'm waiting for news from you both...
