See a Rat. Smack it.

I was thinking of exactly the same thing Whims. I'm sure we can make gazillions out of it somehow. Right, how do I go about making one of these newfangled app things?

ScrambledSmegs · 20/03/2012 15:25

((((((bean)))))) I'm so sorry you're leaving us, but completely understand that it's the best decision for you and yours right now. I wish you the best of luck with everything.

And I echo Imps that I hope to see you here next month with your ironic non-TTC BFP!

whimsicalname · 20/03/2012 15:20

Oh Bean don't go. I feel bereft at the thought of the Brookers without you. I always look forward to what you have to say on the arcane subjects of alternative therapies and the nutritional content of nuts, and your calm presence. Where else do you lurk? Can we come and see you there? Lots of love and luck to you wherever you do go, and there'll always be room for you in here. xx

I'm off work again with another ill child. He wanted to 'bake' a lemon and poppy seed cake,(well, 'one of those lemon cakes with bits in') and the computer packed up just as the time came. Thanks maybe for coming to my rescue. Is it your recipe? It's just chilling now, waiting for DS1 to come home from school. Looks yum.

Imps I was thinking that there must be someone out there on the internet that can make us an app. When you published a recipe book, you'd have to upload a list of the recipes. Then when you had the app, you'd just tick the list of books you had and it could provide a kind of meta index. If apps weren't free, we'd make gazillions.

Hello everyone else!

Imps7 · 20/03/2012 15:13

Oh Beanykins. You are making a brave and bold decision to lay down your sword. If you feel as though TTC is negatively impacting on your DS and your relationship with DP him then I think you're doing absolutely the right thing by shifting your focus.

It will take a while to get your head around not TTC with the intensity that you were and I hope that this doesn't cause you as much heartache as TTC has. Most of all though I hope to see you here in a month's time with your post-HSG (do still have the HSG) ironic non-TTC BFP (anymore acronyms for anyone?)

Muchos love and hugs to you.

beangrower · 20/03/2012 15:04

Oh dear - I can see today is a tough day for the Brookers. I'm not going to be any more uplifting, I'm afraid. I have finally admitted to myself that TTC is having a v bad impact on our relationship. I think I realised it had reached a low point when I started contemplating a quick shag with the bin man (now that no one gets their milk delivered). Another sex fail this morning. I'm suspicious that DP has actually got a hormonal/physical issue as he can't shag on consecutive days let alone more than once in a day as well as having poor spermies. His response is that old chestnut - I put him under too much pressure and SWI is no fun, but if he found sex as much fun as I used to do (whether it's to make a baby or not) I don't think it would feel like pressure. Either way the frustration and monthly lows are too much for either of us to deal with and I'm worried that it will start impacting on life for DS. It's all a bit stupid really, since I now know there's really only a couple of days to make sure we have SWI each month and am this close to the HSG and who knows if SA might improve with acupuncture? But that's life. If I don't let TTC alone - and work with DP to make sex a positive experience for us both - I think we will end up pushing each other way and we're in no position to do this given that we have a son together.

On balance, I'm incredibly lucky to have what I have (especially given that we probably had the sperm issue when we conceived DS) and maybe we'll get lucky again, you never know. Maybe having 1DC will become my preferred choice in time to come; I'm deffo less broody as DS gets livelier/develops.

Thanks to all of you for being so supportive but also for helping me fully recognise my good fortune.

I'm going to wave goodbye to you lovely lot. I am SO BROOKING for you all to get your babies and I truly believe you will but am so hacked off for you that it's been such a tough journey. You are a really, really great bunch of girls, in all sincerity, and I will lurk in here from time to time to watch the BFPs pile up.

ps - sorry for being a bit intense - a long-held Beanflaw.

Loopyhasanotherbean · 20/03/2012 14:13

just popped back to see if maybe had confirmed a BPF yet....sorry to hear yet another BFN. What brand of tests are you using? was so convinced your BFP was just being elusive like mine was!

Am feeling very undomesticated alongside all you bakers and cooks, who seem to have a recipe for everything under the sun. Never seem to have time or energy to do things like that lately!

Imps7 · 20/03/2012 14:07

Oh go on then - for you Generic, I'll stretch to a bottle of Evian.

GenericDietCola · 20/03/2012 14:06

Imps I would do it, but alas I have given up fizzy pop for babymaking Lent.

GenericDietCola · 20/03/2012 14:05

Ah Pomme! I think more of the NLPSEPP (no longer pee stick endorsed pregnant people) need to drop in to remind us of our goal!

Whim it is one of life's great mysteries!

Imps7 · 20/03/2012 14:04

If I were mega-rich, I'd pay someone to produce an index of all of my recipe books. It sounds like a have a similar number to you Whims - it's a real bugger having to go through every one of them if I have a specific ingredient that I need to use.

If any of you lot would like to volunteer to index my book collection, I am willing to pay you with 2 turnips and a 500ml bottle of fizzy pop. Any takers?

whimsicalname · 20/03/2012 13:52

Thanks maybe. Crisis averted. How can I have 2 metres of cookery books without a recipe for L&PS cake.?

Aaah Biscuits you never fail to comfort us and revive our spirits with your words. You're like the human version of a Mum To Be spa treatment.

Whims hope you're okay - it's all sounding pretty dangerous where you are.
