Oh I meant to say, I work in Sales and every so often we have to go and do space audits in the accounts we look after to see if they are stocking/facing proudcts in line with the category data Grin it gets me away from the laptop iykwim, plus I get to mooch around all the clothes departments once the cans are counted

NoMaybeAboutIt · 23/03/2012 11:44

Whim more shouting is obviously the old pregnancy hormones kicking in, not PMT Wink You are a domestic goddess, just keep repeating that to yourself, and you will be fine!

I am indeed off to the spa, appointment is at 1.15, Very excited!

whimsicalname · 23/03/2012 11:35

Hello everyone
Blimey I can't keep up. I'm trying to cook my whole dinner party today for tomorrow night, plus picnic food for tomorrow day time. These guests can seriously eat. The toddler just launched himself down the steps in the garden and has a nose bleed, which is all over me. And I've endured 30 mins 'aerobics' for sports relief at school. God, thank goodness for the telly so I can have 5 mins peace!

Sorry to hear about colleagues imps another whole week done though. And sorry to hear about your GP cupcakes. And I think AF got someone too. Was that you generic? If I check back I'll lose my message and Baby Jake's nearly finished...

Depending whether i'm on a 24 or 30 day cycle this month, I think I'm due this weekend or early next week. I'm not testing because I want a drink this weekend. And I was in a foul mood and shouted even more than usual at the big boys earlier in the week, which I put down to pmt.

Aren't you meant to be at a spa today maybe? Have a good day everyone.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 23/03/2012 11:17

Sorry about the appalling use of families instead of family's there folks

NoMaybeAboutIt · 23/03/2012 11:17

Grin Scarlett Most of my families birthdays are November-February too! So I think that makes us prime candidates for Christmas babies Wink

No AF. CD40 and counting.

Imps your colleagues sound about as much fun as mine. I have decided I am going to try baking some macaroons this weekend. For all those who love to bake, I have discovered a new magazine 'Baking Heaven' It's amazing, 101 recipes in each issue

AND If I get BFP this month, my due date calculates to be 25th of Fucking December! No! Hmm Needs Wine

ScarlettInSpace · 23/03/2012 10:44

My stupid AF only lasted 2 days after all that, hardly worth it Angry AF shall henceforth be known as big stinky stupid bumhead imps BSSB.

maybe any news yet?

cupcakes your GP is a twonk, fact.

sparks I am not tracking anything this month.

please all slap me if I mention a single related acronym [CD, OPK, DPO, POAS etc etc]

I don't want a Christmas baby. I am Christmas baby and it sucks not getting 2 opportunities across the year for presents & parties. Most of my family are December, January & February so it's a bloody expensive time of year as it is. Yep, think I just nailed it for this month then!

TFFIF folks

Imps7 · 23/03/2012 10:04

Grrrrr Olives, AF is a big stinky bumhead. You are waaaaaay better than her. That Christmas baby will be yours! What a wonderful way to spend the festive season!

Cake sale today has been disasterous - hardly anyone has bought anything in this year. I really do work with the biggest bunch of miserable turds. Management should (but won't) take note - the way they run this place has made people so grumpy that they can't even be bothered to bake a cake anymore. 10 days to go! Yeh!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 23/03/2012 09:09

Oh Olives so sorry about AF. You will get a Christmas baby though, which is the best Smile

Sparks I love a statistic too Grin

I Can't believe your GP Cups. Good on your DH for trying to sort it out. Are you going to go back today?

And on the wedding gift front, one of my best friends, who was also my bridesmaid, turned up with no card, no gift, and no money for the bar at the reception. Needless to say I was very Angry with her. I didn't expect a present, just a card would have done!

GreenOlives · 23/03/2012 08:58

Morning all.

CD1 here, AF at least had the decency to turn up first thing which meant I avoided wasting an expensive First Response test! So 10 days of pumping myself with drugs and being awake half the night for nothing - gah! Sad Onwards to cycle 34 of TTC#2 and last chance for a 2012 baybee!

Ladies who chart using fertility friend is it worth paying for the VIP membership?

They offering me 90 days for $16.95, am tempted as I have got quite into temping now but does it offer anything different other than the obvious ironic BFP

SweetieDoesIt · 22/03/2012 19:56

Cupcakes my GP told me a similar story so I rang the PCT helpline and the nearest clinic to get the truth. Then I went back to a different GP at the practice to ask for the referral. I would get all the facts you can, there is loads on the NICE guidelines about treatment provided up to 40th birthday. Of course all PCTs set their own guidelines, you need to find out if the age things is really a factor. I do hope you can get it sorted out, but as Imps says it is a sticky bean that is needed. Big hugs my dear.

Imps we had quite a few guests at our wedding who didn't give gifts, although we didn't have a list or request anything, but also a few who didn't even give cards Shock mostly DH friends We did get a really nice gift sometime after the wedding of a framed single record of our first dance, with a little plaque of the date etc. I thought that was really sweet and thoughtful gift. But I would get something and take it round and explain the situation, if they are good friends you can have a laugh about it.

Cupcakes that GP sounds like a total arse! Please try not to be upset, it sounds like DH has a good plan, the very least you should expect is a referral to a gynae at your local hospital and I'm certain they would carry out HSG.

CupcakesAndCocktails · 22/03/2012 16:43

Thanks Imps you talk a lot of sense, as always.

Pop he doesn't think we will be accepted for NHS funded treatment as the pct have a strict age criteria which we don't fall into. So I'm completely Confused as to why he is even referring us.

I've just spoken to DH now, he is so mad. He is going to make an appointment with a different GP tomorrow and demand a second opinion and a referral to a specialist. I can't go as I'm at work but I don't know if I'm helping matters. I'm really struggling to assert myself as I have to deal with most of the GPs at my practice professionally as well.

Imps7 · 22/03/2012 16:15

Oh Cupcakes my love, I could shake your GP by the shoulders. Please take what he says with a massive shovel-full of salt - he is not a fertility expert by any stretch and by the sounds of it he is being a cold-hearted defeatist. They're not all like that - you will find a GP who is more willing to help.

Plus, focus on the fact that you had a chemical pregnancy last cycle. While it is sad that you did, it does means that sperm is meeting egg which is most of the battle. The fact that the last little bean didn't stick does not mean that no little bean will ever stick, it really doesn't. And although you've been trying for a long time, this does not mean that a natural conception is ruled out - sometimes it just takes longer - your mum is (well you are, I guess) living proof of that.

Have a nice Wine if you want one, or a Brew if not.

McPopcornMouseNFries · 22/03/2012 16:08

Oh cup :( this is a dark place, but it's most definitely not the end of the line

Why does the GP think you'll be ineligible for IVF? Do you know when you'll find out?

I don't think GPs have the experience or authority to know what's going to work and what's not. Do you reckon at the very least you can get referred to a specialist for a second opinion?

CupcakesAndCocktails · 22/03/2012 16:01

I'll have to speak to DH when he gets home. There is no way my GP will do anything else for us, I'll have to get a second opinion. I've got a friend whose husband is a GP so I may ask him for advice.

I can't stop crying, I feel like this is it for us. I don't know how we will afford IVF if we have to pay for it ourselves. My GP said he thinks it's unlikely they will offer it to us.

Shock That's silly cupcakes it's way cheaper for the NHS to perform an HSG than IVF? Can you see a different GP?
