Thanks Happy Birthday MiasmummyThanksI hope you had a lovely, lovely day.Great news on the smiley face Smile

Italian - sorry to hear lining not plump enough yet. Are you feeling okay?

Deige - that's a relief that they found it!

Hello Lol - nice to hear from you. How are you feeling? Please remind me how many weeks you are?

Deige - I hope your instincts are right about me getting a baby. Are your instincts often right? Sme moments I feel very positive and full of hope, and others I think,"Don't be such a mad old biddy, there's only a 1% chance...".Trying to remain positive, and had very interesting boob twinges yesterday.Hmm

Back to work today (after my usual 4 days off).Thankfully we're having a cold snap - only 20 degrees celcius today. So cooking friands with the year eights won't be so bad.[Hmm

Diege cervix located on the run - news at ten headlines
Miaalexandersmummy inundated with huge virtual hugs and kisses for birthday - CNN
Jolls trapped is massive wave of virtual support from whole army of 40 something women - BBC World Service
Italian's lining not plump enough for this week, try next week - radio 4

Hugs to all.

lolfactor · 19/03/2012 21:24

Diege delighted they sent in a search party to find it. I had a similar experience a few years ago. It was somewhere near my tonsils Shock and I have no idea why. It moved (I kid you not) back down to where it should be and has not given a day's trouble since. Weird!

And since you ask - onerous. Spelt onerus. What was I thinking? Glad I'm not the only one. You're also in good company - LOADS of people didn't know about the 2 ns in milennium (even the BBC). And I just have to think about Al Gore (or whichever vice-president it was) correcting the spelling of 'potato'Grin on the blackboard in a primary school walkabout, to 'potatoe' to feel better.

Thinking of you Italian. Let's hope those hormones did their stuff x

Diege · 19/03/2012 19:12

Happy birthday miasmummy ! I hope you had/have a lovely day, and that the year ahead is filled with hope and love xxx
Italian, how did things go today?
My appointment went ok - cervix was eventually located, courtesy of Italian's moles I like to think Wink, though the nurse couldn't find it and called in the main woman who got it straight away. Not much of it left apparently (due to previous loop/cone biopsies) and very posterior - just a lip and a tiny hole Hmm.
Anyway, enough detail! At least it's done and just waiting on results by telephone early April Smile
Hope everyone is ok and enjoying the sunshine! Bathroom phase 2 starts tomorrow for 8 days - should be fun Hmm

10000fireflies · 19/03/2012 18:24

Happy Birthday miasmummy. Enjoy the rest of your day. I hope all your wishes come true. Thanks

MiaAlexandrasmummy · 19/03/2012 16:57

Hi all, it's my birthday today and it's sunny. A billion times better than yesterday. My best present has been hope. A little smiley face on my OPK arrived at last, 7 days late, just when I was thinking it wasn't going to come this month. I like to think that Mia sent it to me.

AngelGeorgie · 18/03/2012 23:36

Thanks Hippy xxx

hopefulgum · 18/03/2012 23:06

Mia - that was very funny and I had a giggle, "did it get bored where it was"!

Deige, I hope they find your cervix. Wish mine was a bit higher -having a prolapse means it's always easily found...sorry that was probably tmi.

Italian - sending up a prayer for you. May that scan say that it is time, and that your little embies fit right at home and grow,grow,grow...

We have our mother's day in May, but sending my love to those of you have have lost little ones, and those who are wanting a baby. I'm going to light a candle tonight.

I've found I am much, much better with the grief of the miscarriages. It felt like I might always feel devastated, but everyone said it would get easier with time, and it is.In some ways I am glad I can see more clearly past the grief and realize I do still want a baby, and it isn't about "replacing" my lost ones, rather it is about wanting a baby.

Sometimes I can't believe I've been on this quest since DS was 10 months old. I had to wait a long time for my fertility to return (Deige I didn't get periods until I was ovulating, and I know that because of the O pain), but since it's return, I think it's been over two years. I think it has kind of become the norm for me, which in some ways worries me, because if I don't graduate to the next step, giving up what I've been doing for over two years will be really difficult.

My temperature has gone up, pretty sure I Oed on Saturday, and had SWI that morning, so it remains to be seen...only about 10 days to wait.

Italian, I don't watch the Good Wife. It sounds very good, but we tend to not watch a lot of American stuff because it is always on the commercial stations, and we hate watching advertising. We tend to stick to the ABC, and watch loads of English stuff, which we love. We really like the gritty nature of them. Just recently watched "Luther", which I love. He's fabulous. And last night watched "Waking the Dead". I'm hooked on police/detective type dramas. For me, it's an escape from the everyday.

I also love 'Parenthood"- an American drama. We've got some good Aussie ones too.

Love to all.Smile

Italiangreyhound · 18/03/2012 23:06

Best wishes and baby dust for all.

Italiangreyhound · 18/03/2012 23:05

Yes Hippy well put, today is quite a hard day for a lot of people for a lot of different reasons.

Obviously for those who lost a little one it is very hard so my thoughts and prayers are with you.

I know some singles in churches really struggle when the flowers come round on Mothering Sunday. Our church does it quite nicely by handing out little potted plants to all the ladies present. I kind of like to think of it as another women's day.

MiaAlexandrasmummy thanks so much for your kind words.

Angelgeorgie and blackcatdancing thank you so much.

Hugs to all.

Diege · 18/03/2012 23:05

Hee hee, that's made me laugh about moles and hard hats. Will have that image in my mind when the nurses go a rumaging Grin

blackcatsdancing · 18/03/2012 22:11

italian good luck for tomorrow!
diege a lost cervix??

MiaAlexandrasmummy · 18/03/2012 22:04

italian everything is crossed for you tomorrow! Thank you for your lovely recent posts, they have been inspirational!

diege sorry, that image from Italian has me giggling... how does a cervix go wandering?? Did it get bored where it was? Sorry, totally inappropriate schoolgirl humour... it's been a long day.

lol thanks for the optimistic share about your own FSH.

hippychick66 · 18/03/2012 22:03

Just popped in to say a warm hello to anyone who is struggling with mothers day. Thinking of tank, miasmum and Angelgeorgie who will be missing their beautiful girls today. Also, those who are trying hard to become mums at the moment. Much love to you all. X

AngelGeorgie · 18/03/2012 21:59

Italian good luck tomorrow xx
Diege good luck hunting for your cx xx
Hi all xx

Italiangreyhound · 18/03/2012 21:06

Digege the hunt is on for your cervix, have images of moles with hard hats and lamps on! Hope that does not sound rude, not meant to! Hope it goes well. As well as these things can ever be! Thank you for your prayers, I really do appreciate it all.

Love Good Wife not seen Prisoners Wives. I know it is sad but all my real favourite shows have been American. Frazer, Friends, Cheers, Sex and the City etc. They just seem to be more light and perky! UK drama/comedy seems to be too gritty/sad/depressing or else it is a bit banal. I can't remember the last time I watched and really enjoyed a UK comedy sit com! Oh yes I can, Keep it in the Family .....

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keep_It_in_the_Family_%28TV_series%29

Although I love UK stand up and comedy club stuff, and all that observation humour and surreal, like Eddie Izzard and Michael Macintyre.

Diege · 18/03/2012 19:14

Ooh Italian definite prayers for you for tomorrow. I have an appointment of my own at the hospital (not nearly so exiciting). Gps have failed twice to find my cervix to do a smear, so they've packed me off to the colp clinic where apparently they've 'seen in all' Hmm.
So can I assume Italian that you quite like The Good Wife? Grin Did you watch/like Prisoners' Wives?

Italiangreyhound · 18/03/2012 19:05

Please send up arrow prayers for me, scan tomorrow to see if we will be ready embryo transfer soon, keen to do it soon, but scared!

Italiangreyhound · 18/03/2012 19:03

Diege and Blackcatdancing it is brilliant, it combines a sort of who done it, with court room drama, with sexy romance story with American politics BUT all in doses you can manage and all in an hour! There is the hottest man on TV

www.imdb.com/name/nm0194516/

Backed up by an also quite hot man....

www.imdb.com/name/nm0001038/ - minus the beard

Check it out www.imdb.com/title/tt1442462/ and watch on on demand .... then come back and talk to me..... (I can fill in the blanks!)

blackcatsdancing · 18/03/2012 10:11

i watched a few episodes, it was my guilty pleasure. I'd forgottten about it until i read greyhounds message. I'll try to catch up and see if i still enjoy it. I don't watch much tv but like to have 1 or 2 things to follow, its nice to spend a couple of hours a week just relaxing/ really switched off. I currently watch Homeland and nothing else. Really enjoying Homeland, because with Carrie you see a car crash in the making.

Diege · 18/03/2012 09:39

ps, no not watching The Good Wife - have heard of it but never seen. Any good?

Diege · 18/03/2012 09:37

Morning! Must ask Lol, what was the misspelt word? Grin I had the same cringing occasion when I was presenting a paper at a US university thing about the United nations. I was talking about the Millenium (sp?) development goals and all my pp slides had 'Millenium' (still not sure if that's spelt right( missplet (2 s's??). Cue sniggers around the whole room of 400 Blush
Italian feel very Envy of your exercise. I am forcing myself to get to the gym today - have to after a night (and morning) of chocolate indulgence.
Happy mother's day to us all - with dcs, ttc-ing, and remembering all our lost little ones xxx

Italiangreyhound · 17/03/2012 17:22

Yes, Diege, feeling a lot better.

Been swimming today.

Does anyone else watch The Good Wife?

If so please do come on and comment .....
