Thansk ladies x

Hetty so sorry to hear about your MMC, hope you're doing ok x

MumTum sorry AF arrived, at least you can have shit loads a few guilt free glasses of champagne while you're away and you get to make a honeymoon baby, ahhh. 5 more sleeps to go! Have an amazing time xx

AF still hasn't arrived which makes it 33 days since the first day of my last af (what's the short name for that?). I will test tomorrow (should wait until the weekend) if it's still not here so I've not lost all hope!

MumTumWanted · 19/03/2012 16:11

And fx for u to next month to tomboy x

MumTumWanted · 19/03/2012 16:11

Thanks ostrich very excited Bout the wedding only 6 sleeps till we fly yay which is fab news as af arrived todayAngrySad and it's nice now to be able to know one way or another and should mean lots of fun trying for a honeymoon baby and no metalling whilst I'm away so positive thoughts I guess. Sorry about your bfn we can be cycle buddies next month instead x

Hi to the other ladies how are we all today ??

TomboyWife · 18/03/2012 21:39

Oh, and sorry about the BFN Ostrich. Sad Hopefully next month is the lucky month for both of us.

TomboyWife · 18/03/2012 21:38

Hetty welcome to the thread, even if it's not the thread you wanted to be on. Sad We're all in the same boat here.

I'm not sure how well fertility monitors work in the immediate aftermath of a miscarriage your hormones are likely to be massively out of whack but in general it's not a bad idea to POAS after two or three weeks and make sure you get a negative. (I was still getting a faint positive after two weeks, but was negative after three.)

HettyTurner · 18/03/2012 19:40

Hello! Please can I join you I have just left the October 2012 babies Sad. MMC last week at 13 weeks, just waiting for the bleeding to stop. Do you think I should get a BFN before starting my fertility monitor again??

Sorry Ostrich, it's a bugger isn't it.

Ostrich78 · 18/03/2012 12:29

POAS today but not first wee - too sleepy to work out the Boots digital DIY ones but it was a BFN :(. Oh well, fx next month will be the one with the sticky bean.

Ostrich78 · 17/03/2012 19:41

Booos for BFN's Tomboy and MumTum xxxxx

Yay MumTum for the Barbados wedding! You must be so excited, hope it all goes well xx They are some sensitive norks you have there - are they not normally that bad? Ouch! FX that AF doesn't show xx

I had very very slight spotting yesterday so I've been really down hearted and expecting the b/witch today but she didn't show. Will test in the morning but not feeling very positive at all.

Allchik and Hugga Hope you're doing ok.

TomboyWife · 17/03/2012 13:15

Sorry about the BFN MumTum, but congrats on your wedding!

I got a BFN of my own this morning. I'll test again in a couple of days if AF doesn't turn up, but I'm less symptomatic now, so I'm pretty sure this month was a near miss.

OP posts:
MumTumWanted · 17/03/2012 08:23

It really sucks doesn't it.... I just tested again this morning bfn Sad but it was a pound cheaply test from asda which though it dosent say the concentration needed does say will detect the hormone the first day u are late. So now I'm convinced there may still be hope!! Boobies are incredibly sore without even the need to prod them now BlushBlush even driving over the speed hump downy road hurt!! But I do get tender before af...:/
Also feel constantly nauseous Smile but this could be because next Sunday I fly to Barbados to get married so it may be nerves kicking in Blush

I guess it's not over till the witch turns up so fx for all of us !!!GrinGrin

TomboyWife · 15/03/2012 19:42

This makes 3 of us on the AFy feelings. But when I was pg last time round, a few days before my BFP I was so sure I was about to bleed I put on a sanitary towel. Make of that what you will.

I'll probably test this weekend if the witch hasn't arrived by then.

Ostrich78 · 14/03/2012 19:52

He he Mum what are we like! Good signs for you though x yay!
I've been feeling very AFy all day too and hoping the same as you x poas today - BFN:( Will be testing Sunday/Monday/Tuesday.... if I still have sysmtoms and no af. I wont lose hope until a BFP or my af shows her mean face.

I just worked out what dpo means! I'm still learning.......

MumTumWanted · 13/03/2012 15:35

Isn't confusing with the dates ostrich I'm pretty sure I'm only 8 dpo but I caved and did another test this morning bfn what's weird though is my boobs are so sore and that was my first sign before more worrying though is I've had a real low down cramp all day. Needless to say I got on to dr google and I'm thinking hopingit may be implantation cramps as this Apparantly can occur anywhere between 5-12 dpo. Interesting it also said that only once implanted Do you produce hcg and in some cases this can take 2-3 days for the kidneys to process and than start coming through in urine ... So u may not even be getting measurable hcg until 12-15 dpo so I'm trying to be hopefully Grin

Fingers crossed to all those in the 2ww xxx

Ostrich78 · 12/03/2012 13:43

That's good to know, thanks Tomboy. Your symptoms sound promising, lets hope you get sore norks soon x
I've messed up my dates for this month, from the erpc to the 1st day of AF was 38 days - I assumed it was long because of the erpc so I estimated 28-31 day for this cycle (unsure what a normal cycle for me is), today being day 25 but yesterday I had EWCM?? Will leave testing until the 18th but I'm not holding out much hope :(

x

TomboyWife · 11/03/2012 13:05

Ostrich sorry about the BFN, but if it was very early... I've had MNers tell me they started getting morning sickness almost immediately, so that could very well be a good (IYSWIM) sign.

Welcome to the new joiners! Sorry I've not said hi until now, it's been a busy week.

I'm still on the 2WW, was pretty optimistic a few days ago, but now I'm not sure. I've been dizzy and clumsy, which was one of my first symptoms last time round, and in the last couple of days my boobs have grown, but they're not sore. We shall see, I guess. There's no point testing for a few days yet.

OP posts:
Ostrich78 · 10/03/2012 12:08

Caved in yesterday - BFN but it's way too early so I still have hope. Been feeling really sick and hoping it's not just the bug..... Even though I have a 2.7 DS, I was so unaware when I was pregnant (wasn't really trying and didn't know until I was 6 weeks) with him that I can't remember feeling sick early on - Am I being stupid to think it's could POSSIBLY be morning sickness?

How are you doing Tomboy?

It's so quiet in here, hope everyone's ok x

TomboyWife · 10/03/2012 10:31

Any news Ostrich?

OP posts:
Ostrich78 · 09/03/2012 08:59

Hi Mum, glad to have someone testing near me. So hope it's good news x

Huga Sorry to hear about your MMCs, I think I might be in the 2 week denial phase too! I keep getting urges to test but have so far restrained myself. I will poas tomorrow as I'm out celebrating and want to know if I can have a few or not....

Allchik hope your week at work has been ok and hope you're feeling a bit better xx

Tomboy still got my fx for you x

I have a very dodgy stomach this morning and feel sick, I'm certain its a bug but my denial is telling me it's not ;) I will poas tomorrow to know for sure!

x

hugahuddy · 08/03/2012 20:31

hello there, please can i join your thread?!
i had mmc in aug and another in dec. first month trying and AF just arrived, now enterin what i call 2 week denial phase, maybe there's still a chance i'm pregnant even with AF and all associated symptoms and aches! small consolation of Wine . if i drink for two weeks then we can get back to business Wink
would really welcome some help at staying sane, was so sure i was pregnant this month, did two test a few days ago, BFN of course, still a bit in denial!!

MumTumWanted · 08/03/2012 13:27

Ostrich78 · 06/03/2012 08:39

Morning ladies,

Hope alls well this morning x

I'm now in my 2ww, due AF anytime between 15th and 18th - was thinking I'd leave it until mothers day (if I can??) but I'll feel really disappointed if it?s not BFP. Also it?s my birthday at the weekend and I would have been due.... trying not to dwell on it too much but it?s hard not to!

allchik · 02/03/2012 14:10

Thanks both for your kind words....just read back my posts and can't believe how much difference a few days makes! I am still of course devastated, I so, so wanted the baby and was so excited about getting bigger and progressing along the pregnancy. However, I can also see a bit of sense and hope now too. I understand now that my baby was probably very poorly and would not of been able to survive....Im also now much more hopeful that I will get pregnant and I will carry a baby full term.
Think my hormones are settling down (bleeding has very almost stopped) and actually feel quite excited about trying again....similar feelings to how I felt when my hubby and I first made the decision to TTC. Was scared it would just feel like I wanted a replacement....but it doesnt quite feel like that.

Ive never really had a regular cycle.....think for the first few months were going to just go with the flow...not check dates/be manic about testing etc and just see what happens......hopefully it will!!! :)

These threads really are fab.....you feel so alone, and even though people tell you how common mc are, it still feels like no one in the world could feel the despair that you feel....thanks for the support xxx

Sazzel · 02/03/2012 12:08

Hi Allchik
So sorry for what you are going though, I just wanted to give you a bit of reassurance, everything you've written, I could have written myself (I mc'd back in November, got to 12 weeks 2 then started bleeding)

I was told to do a hpt at what was 4 weeks from the start of my mc and that came back negative, such a weird feeling to be praying for a negative when you really want to be pregnant.

I know that they say it will take 4 - 6 weeks for your next period but it actually took 7 for me. Also thought it was worth mentioning as no-one warned me and it did not occur to me, your cycle may be longer than it was before. My first proper cycle after the MC was 34 days (normally 28 days, cue hoping to see a bfp and tears when it was a bfn) then next one was 30 days.

I hope you get all the support you need, MN is brilliant for people who "get it" when RW people say well meaning but stupid things x

Ostrich78 · 02/03/2012 09:23

Allchik It's a really emotional time and your hormones are probably all over the place so don't give your self a hard time x I hope the break has been good for you xxxx

I seem to be on heat at the moment so I'm assuming that means I'm ovulating (It's the only way I can tell when I'm ovulating!). So lots more SWI this weekend for us, hoorah!

Tomboy fx for your 2ww xx

Hope every one else is well and hoping for a sunny weekend x

allchik · 29/02/2012 10:24

Thanks both for your messages, good to know I'm not alone. Best of luck for both of you that it happens very soon xxxxxxxxx

Went to the docs yesterday for my docs note and had a complete break down....she signed me off till Monday. Feel like a bit of a failure really, that I should be coping and should be able to go back....but think I need a bit more time, teach in a tough inner city secondary school, so maybe she was right.

My doctor was lovely, and she has said next time I get pregnant she will book me in for an early scan before my 12 weeks so hopefully this will give some reassurance.

Really hope I can get my strength up this week so that I can return to some sense of normality xxx
