Hello ladies, come and share the tedious 2ww with us!

OP posts:
happyhow · 29/02/2012 22:26

Can I join?

MC'd in January with first pg and now ttc again. Wasn't exactly careful while waiting on first AF after MC but to no avail... Was hoping to take advantage of being 'more fertile after a MC', had horrendous pg like symptoms too which made it all the worse and AF was a week later than if my cycle was 'normal'. Hoping that this month my cycle will go back to normal at 35 days but husband workng away a lot this month so definitely hoping for a normal cycle as OV will be in between his times away otherwise we can SWI as much as we like but it won't make a blody difference!!

Hope that's not too much of a novel for a first post!! Just glad I'm not the only obsessed one! Smile

Windmill10 · 29/02/2012 20:57

Oh bugger winkly I've lost my 2ww buddy to the hag.......hope you're ok (prob a bit better after your well deserved rant, nothing worse than the in-laws sometimes) Glad the pants survived tho! Grin

I'm prob not far behind you so more than likely see you on the next 2ww.....onwards and upwards

Winkly · 29/02/2012 20:43

(bright side - obsessive bathroom visiting means caught af in time for Best White Pants to survive thanks)

Winkly · 29/02/2012 20:41

And while I'm here, I shall share that I did NOT appreciate DH commenting on how his SIL "was so good during her pregnancies. She ate so healthily and never had so much as a cup of tea."

Yes I KNOW she's fucking perfect. All I heard through my wedding planning from PILs was how wonderful her wedding was. Yes she's younger thinner and prettier than me, and her parents gave her money so she and BIL live in a big house in a nice area and she works part time, but DH and I work full time (and the rest) and live in a small flat miles from anywhere. Yes she has two perfectly mannered children and was back in her size 10 clothes before the christening, and clearly her reproductive system is more wonderful than mine, as evidenced by small gap between her kids.

Well I DON'T WANT TO HEAR ABOUT IT!!!

pipsicles · 29/02/2012 20:39

(Are your Best White Pants ruined too?!)

pipsicles · 29/02/2012 20:38

Oh bugger, that is crap news :( sorry to hear that. Hope you're okay.

backwardpossom · 29/02/2012 20:36

Bugger, winkly :(

Winkly · 29/02/2012 20:32

Shit. Looks like Best White Pants have done the trick.

DesperateHousewife21 · 29/02/2012 19:12

laura I think that a smiley face means your about to OV but I'm really no expert so hopefully someone wiser will come along. My dh was away in mon so I was paranoid in case I was OV then so we dtd yesterday just to be sure!

I watched a fertilisation video earlier and out of the millions of sperm released only 100 or so make it as far as the egg. They really have the odds stacked against them poor things.

LauraM20 · 29/02/2012 18:58

Hi everyone!
I'm returning for another 2ww, got my smiley face really early this month (day 13) usually its day 18! Dtd on day 10 and 12 but dh is away tonight :( so I'm hoping it will be ok! Will it be worth dtd tommorow or is that too late? I do get confused as to what the smiley face means, does it mean I'm about to ovulate or I have ovulated? N if im about to ovulate, dtd tommorow which leave me with a chance wont it?!
Your answers would be gratefully recieved! I have my fingers crossed for some BFP!! :) x

Winkly · 29/02/2012 18:52

Summer house sounds lovely, and cushions and candles particularly welcoming! I'll happily stand and make cocktails for all who need them!

Glad you're feeling a little better this evening Miss and sorry to hear about the AFs - defo enjoy the guilty pleasures you couldn't have had and look forward to another month of SWI! Wink

misslaughalot · 29/02/2012 17:27

Thanks for all your kind words guys, I was having a really low moment this morning and needed to vent somewhere...feeling much better now. You're all super lovely Thanks

I think I'm smack bang in the middle of my fertile period now, so DP and I are DTD every other day...que sera sera and all that!

So, let's get out of the loo...it's a lovely evening in Brum, who wants to join me in my summer house? I have cushions, candles and booze for those partaking!

madnad1 · 29/02/2012 17:20

Evening ladies.

Thank you so much for being so welcoming!

To my despair, I woke this morning to discover the dreaded af had arrived!!
although I am trying for number 4, and I am soo grateful for my beautiful babies, I couldn't help but feel disappointed. I feel so bad for feeling that way when some of you are trying for your first and second. (I know I am greedy) I don't think it matters whether its your second or your sixth, that feeling is still strong. Especially when (like me) you convince yourself that you have a precious little life inside.

Anyway I am consoling myself tonight with my favourite vodka and (cheapo) redbull, which I would have dearly missed had I got my wish! ( and I hasten to add that I have gone without for a whole week as I was terrified of jinxing my bfp, and convinced of the imminent result too!)

You would think after 3 babies, I should have more of a sixth sense as to what is going on in there!!!!

Anyway I am keeping my fingers x'd for everyone else, and will be back to be a neurotic 2ww er again in a couple of weeks!

Good luck everybody xxxxx

DesperateHousewife21 · 29/02/2012 15:42

Sorry missm :( have a glass of wine on me.

Windmill10 · 29/02/2012 15:25

Oh MissM sorry to hear that......she is such a hag isn't she! Let's hope that you make a lovely xmas baby this cycle Smile

MissMedusa · 29/02/2012 13:00

2ww over for me. AF just reared her ugly, wrinkly, old head :(

Windmill10 · 29/02/2012 13:00

vintageclasp · 29/02/2012 10:08

Dear misslaughalot, I understand how you feel... my BFF didn't even plan for a baby but got a BFP even though she says she and her partner hardly BD... She is now into her 10-11th week...

Every time she whines about her m/s and other pregnancy symptoms I feel envious and hope I can join her soon....

More baby dust!! :)

DesperateHousewife21 · 29/02/2012 10:00

misslaughalot it's so hard when friends announce their pregnancies. Really hope it happens for you v soon

I feel nothing, no signs and it doesn't help that the preg app assumes I'm preg every month even though I told it I'm not, it's saying I'm 3 weeks Hmm

backwardpossom · 29/02/2012 09:36

How hard that must be for you, misslaughalot :(

AF due on Sat (I think) but have no AF-type symptoms. Of course, this means I have no PG symptoms either! Can't win! I had the most bizarre dream last night that my boobs were really really sore and I wouldn't let anyone near me! DS jumped on me (in the dream) and I was screaming. So weird!

pipsicles · 29/02/2012 09:16

Oh misslaughalot, that must be SO difficult for you to deal with :( Much love and sympathy sending your way

misslaughalot · 29/02/2012 08:11

Have just found out that a 4th friend is pregnant.

And one's having twins. That's 5 babies all due within 6 weeks of the due date of the baby I miscarried...too much to cope with...

pipsicles · 29/02/2012 08:07

*ANYTHING! Whoops! What a heartless cow that typo made me sound!!! Sorry! Blush

pipsicles · 29/02/2012 08:05

Welcome Vintage! This thread is absolutely intended to stop us driving our DPs and DHs crazy and to stop them realising that we are crazy and obsessed!

To you, and anyone else who is concerned they left it a bit late, there are plenty of women out there who are having their babies later. At 28, I am the youngest of my group of mothers by 4 years, which I was really surprised about! The oldest of my friends is 41, and only 4 years younger than my own mum! So please don't automatically think it is too late - it might take you a while, yes, but it can take anyone a while, at any stage of life, and unfortunately, it seems that the more we stress about it, the longer it is likely to take.

All of that said, I like to obsess and over-analyse as much as the next woman (just take a look at my posts from yesterday - crazy!) and we will all quite happily listen to nothing you have to say/moan/worry/obsess about and you can do it all safe in the knowledge that you won't be judged! It's great!

Good luck with it all! :)
