I am so sorry about your sex fail, I know how it feels as you know. But all the times I got pregnant have been from SWI on the highs and not on the peaks so I don;t think you are necessarily out this month at all. Your poor DH, did he feel terrible about it?

Totally feeling Beedle's point about men getting stressed. We had a sex fail last night and this morning (at 5am), so TWICE, and are now both even more knackered. DS of course stayed in bed until 6.30, perfectly well behaved. Poor DP feels rubbish and I got upset. We made up but it's just the usual crapness of TTC taking its toll. As everyone here seems to have experienced...

So I think we are out this month. CD10 peak SWI might have done it but I somehow don't think so.

CBFM hasn't really told me anything different Sweetie - it suggests I ov cd11, maybe CD12 in the small hours. I pretty much knew this already. The fact that I got one high day before a peak fits with my age and having a smaller fertile window. I need to know how to time SWI to fit with low motility sperm and there are mixed views on this one... I might start a fred for advice.

That's good about DH Sweetie - might as well get the figures too.

Well girls, its not B or F but its definitely P. DH can see it so its not in my head. Its quite faint though but I am hoping its because its early. Have had a mad dash to Boots and first cyclogest is inserted (up the bum as its seemed better for some reason).

I have been having cramps for a few days though so am really trying not to get my hopes up this time.

Have emailed the consultant basically saying help and teach me how to use the clexane.

Right, I've analysed the boobwatch data and they are inconclusive. I keep prodding mine though as I'm not sure if I've ov'd yet - keep forgetting to use the OPKs and I don't temp. Was hoping my bosoms would tell me, but not yet.

Green I am brooking for you that the cramps will herald a BFP rather than AF. What a wonderful anniversary treat that would be (and it means you don't need to buy DH a present, you can just give him the pee stick!)

Problems after 4 months I don't like the sound of that book at all! That just isn't right surely?

And boob pain is very variable for me too, this month didn't get any until 7-8dpo and now they are killing! But some months they hurt straight after ovulation. I'm pretty sure it's nature's way of additional torture in the 2ww so we can over analyse every twinge/lack of twinge. I don't know about anyone else but I spend most of the 2ww prodding mine so that doesn't help with the pain either Talking of which I am on CD30 today with sore boobs and I'm 14dpo BUT I have the familiar cramps starting so I feel AF may be on her way which will totally ruin any SFF on our anniversary night away on Friday Oh well, at least we can have a lay in And DH may be making suggestions as to alternative fun for him which I believe was recommended by one of your DH's as a sore throat cure the other day

Imps not sure about SA, my GP didn't do any tests at all when we went to her after trying for a year, she just referred me straight to gynae and SA was one of the first things he tested along with my FSH and LH (day 2). I would guess that he could just ask the GP for the test if you can persuade him

Forgot to say they wouldn't give me his results though. I can understand that really. DH has rung up and they said "no further action required" but to get a detailed print out he needs to make an appointment. Seems a bit of a waste of an appointment to me, I did ask if they could post him the print out, but no. So next time he is poorly he has to remember to ask for the print out as if that is going to happen

Imps my DH wasn't there when my GP sent him for SA. I don't think he even belonged to the same practice but was in the process of changing over. I was sent for my bloods and I just took the container and bag home for him to "do" his bit and then take to the hospital in under an hour from time of production. He had to make an appointment to drop it off too but he didn't see anyone.

So yes, if your GP anything like mine, you can get it arranged for him. I think my GP practice is quite good after hearing other Mners experiences though.

Lösning the crazy names - though I did read an article in the paper this morning about a little boy called Anakin, which i thought was quite a cool name -though everyone would think we were star wars freaks bet DP would vote for that name

generic before etc i never had sore boobs, then they used to be sore from about 5dpo to 9dpo dpo, now they changed again and are sore from about 9dpo to 12dpo. Hope that helps

bean could you set an alarm for 5 30 mins before DS usually wakes so you have time to seduce your man but if not I'm sure yesterday was good enough

That bit in TCOYF about trying for 4 months, I thought she suggests sending the bloke for a sperm analysis, as its easy to do. Well that would have gone done like a ton of bricks in our house plus she doesn't take into account men that get scared and stressed by the whole etc idea.

Oh and I reckon I ov'd yesterday as I got a bit of a rise this morning

pop if you can afford to trade off the scan and it gives you piece of mind it is worth it. Very interesting research far talks about having a positive impact.

far some of the books talk total tosh, fancy everyone only trying for only 4months. I am genuinely shocked anyone gets pregnant now I know what is involved and the short window of opportunity. DH doesn't believe me when I tell him and I can see why.

Yes I totally agree and it flies in the face of everything else I have read which says 12-18 months is totally totally normal. It was freaking me out!

Yes, TCOYF does make it sound like you should just be able to get diffed straight away once you've stuck a thermo up your fanjo a couple of months. Of course, she's assuming a different reader than the long-term TTCers. I've just read a fred about someone who had IVF/ICSI after ages of TTC, then got spontaneously pg with DC2 while breastfeeding (aged 34). So - Teri can't explain everything even if she's making out she can. Inexplained infertility does what it says on the can and affects quite a lot of people from what I can tell.

Thanks everyone - I'll have to see whether I can the old feller cranked up tonight. He did spend last night with a toddler on his chest, neck, arms, head... The gro-clock has yet to take effect.

I think the motility issues mean we should have slightly less TTC. I think the fact that we had SWI last night is quite hopeful anyway.

Pop - spend the money. DH will have forgotten all about it in a few sleep deprived years. Do as someone else here said and flog some bits and pieces on ebay to pay for it. x

Little it's a MNetter I didn't know I knew, she found me on a thread and got in touch. I've not been hiding my identity at all, so it's not that surprising, except I had no idea I knew anyone trying for/with a baby! She's a friend of a friend I met at a party once, with obviously an amazing memory for people.

duke am impressed you are getting a 1yr check/visit. I saw a health visitor the sum total of once - she asked me a) are you being beaten up by your husband? (We're not married, and would I tell her if I was?! She said she had to ask because of all the Polish people living in this area ). And b) we need to talk about contraception. When I pointed out that I was 38yo and had just had my first so may not need to talk about contr after all... she giggled.
