Well, I could be adding this all up very wrong.

The first day of may last period was the 11th Feb.
I have a clockwork 26 day cycle.
I have this iPhone app thingy that says I should have ovulated on the 23rd Feb.
However, I was getting the one sided crapmyness and EWCM that would suggest ovulation on the 18th, so either I ovulated early, or I didn't, hence the difference is DPOs, I don't know why I testes, I know it's faaaar to early.
I'm not due on till the 8th but something in my sleepy brain declared that it was a must.
For now I shall be a very good lady and wait a few day.

MarthasHarbour · 01/03/2012 09:06

MissC massivo fingers crossed for your scan today! i am impressed you bought a babygro, knowing you as i do i think that is a good sign, you really are feeling this one arent you? Smile xx

MarthasHarbour · 01/03/2012 09:05

tits keep your cool

Right then, you are only 7-10DPO therefore it is far too early for an IC, however you have a faint line, albeit a v v v faint line. I agree you should give it a couple of days.

But i have said it before and i shall say it again - i am convinced you are preggers!

OP posts:
Midgetm · 01/03/2012 08:58

tits surely your 4am pee would be the first pee of the day and your second would not so unlikely to show so early?

Midgetm · 01/03/2012 08:57

I have everything crossed for those having scans today. I nearly rang EPU yesterday because of spotting and back ache. Calmed down now. I have learnt although waiting sucks it really is the only option. your posts ring so many bells with me. The not being able to get excited, no Planning. Taking each day but really being petrified. For all these reasons I have no idea why I am allowing myself to think positively. I may have finally lost my marbles (so can I join you nomoremarbles?

TitsalinaBumSquash · 01/03/2012 08:25

So I am officially going mad.

I woke up at 4am this morning desperate to pee, this is unusual for me so I took it as a deluded sign to POAS anyway, the faintest half line known to man appeared, a kind of squint at the light and hold it at a certain angle line. Well half line appeared.
So I try again this morning when I wake up and nadda, nothing at all. Hmm
The non line from early hours is still on the other test though, so faint that I haven't even bothered to ring DP at work and tell him to come and check for me.

Natch, the sensible thing to do will be to wait a couple days and do it again with FMU, but anyway, this has confused me greatly. Although according to my dates I am 10DPO according to the charts of "normal" ovulation I am only 7DPO.

Good luck for scans today! :)

Lilmonsty · 01/03/2012 07:40

Thanks Midget and MissC - very helpful to know. Sounds like I have a couple of weeks to wait until I can go to EPU. Why does time go so slowly just after a BFP?! Confused

MissC Good luck for scan today. I have fingers and toes crossed for you. If you don't mind, I'm going to wait until if/when I see a heartbeat before adding myself to the stats thread. Feels a bit early and I am coping by being in denial at the moment. Sadly it means that I'm not so excited about this pg. I wish I could have back the optimism of last time! Oh well, you live and learn...

JaffaSnaffle · 01/03/2012 07:33

Good luck today msC! What time is your scan? X

NoMoreMarbles · 29/02/2012 22:33

missC GL for your NT scan tomorrowSmile and well done on buying a babygrow!! i didnt buy a thing for DD until i was about 26 weeks as i was so frightened of having the 'stuff' and no baby like i did on my first pregnancy (i had the cot and loads of clothes when i MC my firstSad) i cant wait to get to the stage were i feel comfortable buying baby clothes again so i am a little Envy but so happy for youSmile (i dont like to admit that im Envy for some reason im sure we all get like that though...)

re: the new job...i had a meeting today with the HR people to discuss the details and talked more in detail about the job itself and it is entirely different to what i applied forHmm sounds like a totally crappy job and is actually barely more money than what i am currently on so i would have a worse job for the same money! i made the decision on that basis to turn it down as if they have lied about the job description, what else are they not telling me? i dont fancy going into a job im sure i will hate, not trusting the people i work for etc...

MissCoffeeNWine · 29/02/2012 21:58

tas I'm glad it all went as expected and you are holed up at home having lots of TLC. Rest and recuperate, OK?

jaffa how funny it has a 'feel' - I know what you mean though. This one feels a lot different to the last one. I actually bought a babygro today. Keel over in shock, I know, how presumptuous of me, but I know enough babies I could send it to if it doesn't work out, and stuff doesn't bother me.

tiago so excited for you and your very fat BFP

leedy fingers crossed it's just a bit of WTF-ing and nothing to worry about. Did you POAS after all?

marbles congrats on the job!

pebs I bled all the way through with DD, in fact I'm managing to metal about the fact I'm NOT bleeding this time Blush Hope it settle for you though, it's so stressful.

blue anniversaries are so funny and the strangest things remind you sometimes.

Grinning at martha's girded loins. Oo-er.

Hope all your symptoms have a point tits, fingers crossed for Sunday. How is your DS?

Sorry for your losses midgetm you can definitely do it again. That's my little mantra at the moment.

Lilmonsty I saw this one in the right place with a beating heart at an estimated 7 weeks, actually 7+3 I think. No guarantees of course but it was still in the right place last week at 10+6 and I hope it'll still be there tomorrow at 12+3.

And that is the key to my metalling at the moment. NT scan. Lost my first just after the dating scan and the first things started to go wrong just 3 days after the NT scan with DS, although he wasn't lost for another four weeks after that ... but I'm expecting the bad things to start happening in about a week :( Don't know how I'm going to deal with it.

MissCoffeeNWine · 29/02/2012 21:39

Eep the thread is exploding with BFPs and newbies! Big whoop for all the BFPs and hello to all the new people, sorry you have to be here but glad you found us.

May I plead entry on the STATS THREAD to help my poor little brain cope - no hurry, no rush, not compulsory, but really helps us to know where everyone is at, fingers crossed for lots of happy updating :)

Midgetm · 29/02/2012 21:39

Thanks for the welcome Nomoremarbles . So sorry for all your loses, I know to stay sane we must block some of it out but it sure as hell does leave a dent I have a clotting issue and I am on 150mg of asprin. Hideous lower back pain and a bit of spotting taking the edge of my optimism. Realy hoping this one is different. Kicking myself for my optimism now.... Nice to 'virtually' meet someone who will actually know what the helll I am talking about when it comes to this procreating malarky.

Lilmonsty - as far as I know the odds of things being ok dramatically increase if a scan is all ok at 7 weeks.

This may help from the American Pregnancy Association:

Generally from 6 ½ -7 weeks is the time when a heartbeat can be detected and viability can be assessed. A normal heartbeat at 6-7 weeks would be 90-110 beats per minute. The presence of an embryonic heartbeat is an assuring sign of the health of the pregnancy. Once a heartbeat is detected, the chance of the pregnancy continuing ranges from 70-90% dependent on what type of ultrasound is used. If the embryo is less than 5mm CRL, it is possible for it to be healthy without showing a heartbeat, though a follow up scan in 5-7 days should show cardiac activity.

NoMoreMarbles · 29/02/2012 21:15

NoMoreMarbles · 29/02/2012 21:15

lilmonsty welcome and congrats on your BFPSmile so sorry about your MMCSad

NoMoreMarbles · 29/02/2012 21:12

midget welcome and congrats on the BFPSmileso sorry for your many lossesSad i have had 9 pregs with 1 DD and TTC number 2, have you had all the tests etc to see why you have lost so many? i have Lupus Erythematosis and Lupus Anticoag (APLS related) but i live in hope...

Lilmonsty · 29/02/2012 21:04

Hi all

Room for another small one? Currently 5+2 after a MMC in October 2011.

Lucky to live near St George's EPU who have said they will do me an early scan. Just wondering how soon to go - Midget - can you tell for sure whether pg is 'viable' at 6+a bit? My worst outcome would be being told 'probably bad news but come back in a week to know for sure' so want to wait until they can give a conclusive diagnosis first time.

MarthasHarbour · 29/02/2012 21:03

midget welcome to the thread, so sorry for your losses however congrats on the BFP Smile just hang in there, we shall provide cake support whenever you need us! Huge FX that this bean sticks Smile

tits you are soooo preggers

OP posts:
Midgetm · 29/02/2012 20:53

Is there room for one more on here? I did join the October thread but don't think my freak out concern stuff is best placed upsetting other people with a more romantic and normal view of pregnancy, so need to come share it with others who are also in the same boat. I feel even joining it may have tempted fate in some way - afterall I am not like normal people when it comes to matters of creation.

Currently on pregnancy number 9 (at least - I gave up counting), but I have one success with my gorgeous DD. BFP the week before last - first time of trying since suspected ectopic in September (too scared to have sex again till now - poor DH) so currently 5plus6.

Scan at 5 weeks confirms this one is in the right place and have one at St Marys next Wednesday to see if it is 'viable'. Such a horrible word.

I never allow myself to feel positive but I can't help feeling this one may be different - I have done it once so surely I can do it again? Right?

How can a week seem like such a bloody long time away?

Hugs to you all who have experienced recent losses. Mother Nature can be a bitch sometimes.

Tas - I saw your other thread. Hope you are resting and vegging in front of the TV.

Anyway hope there is room for little but neurotic me.

NoMoreMarbles · 29/02/2012 20:39

i say either way the stakes should go in your favourWink

if BFN DP has to treat you to a lovely bottle of Wine some stinky soft cheese and something else not allowed when preg

if BFP then you get a spa treatment or somesuch (just make out like its going to be a hard punishmentWink) and what kind of DP would stop his pregnant partner from enduring a nice relaxing spa treatment?Grin

TitsalinaBumSquash · 29/02/2012 20:13

We haven't decided the stakes yet. I need ideas! Grin

Tiago · 29/02/2012 20:11

Betting for cash or are the stakes more interesting?

TitsalinaBumSquash · 29/02/2012 19:47

Noooo don't tempt me! It's too early to tell and it will just be bfn and I'll get all Sad lol.
Nope no reason for reoccurring mc the day I went in for all the tests and to see the consultant I found out I was pg with DS2. I'm going to test on Sunday if I'm showing no af symptoms. I'm currently wagering with DP he says I am, I say I'm not, we are working out what to bet Grin

madaboutmadmen · 29/02/2012 19:39

Oooooo dear Tas, sorry about your association with Madmen, my nn really doesn't help. Blush. However I'm rewatching series 3 now too! Smile

NoMoreMarbles · 29/02/2012 19:31

i wrote a nice big post earlier on and it seems to have disappeared...

ok so the gist was...

CONGRATS on the loads of BFPsGrin

tas so glad the op went well! without the Methatrexate does that mean you can TTC earlier or would you still have to wait the 3 months? i hope you are ok and not too sore {{{hugs}}}

tits i didnt realise you had had 8MCsSad me too! (not that thats the kind of club you want to join) i cant remember if you were given a "reason" for yours or not? FWIW i think you should do a test going by all your symptomsWink

i will pop back later qnd finish my update...DH wants to go for a drive to visit HMS liverpool at liverpool docks...exciting...

TitsalinaBumSquash · 29/02/2012 18:35

My only 2 successful pregnancies had spotting all through! The 8 mcs I had nothing at all until the bleeding that ended them. I now have a 5 and a 7 year old :D
