About time I start a thread! Pom poms still shaking, bumps growing, babies and toddlers talk a plenty, while the support, laughs, hand holds and weebling continues...

vjay ds is also annoying about pushchair..usually fine to go somewhere but not come back, after playing at park or whatever.. I usually don't mind him walking but if he refuses to hold my hand he gets forced into pushchair and after a bit of screaming he usually sticks thumb in & is fine..but sounds worse with ajay if he can get out of straps Shock how does he do that?? Would he go on a scooter or trike? Or I was gonna suggest those backpack buddy reins too which I'm thinking of getting.. otherwise I'm no help sorry! But u have my sympathy it can get really stressful!

Ds has what looks like conjunctivitis so off to docs later, he woke in night with eyes completely glued together just saying 'eyes eyes eyes' bless him!

I text curly the other day to check she was ok & she said rl is just crazy right now but to send her love to you all :) she still has hyperemesis bad but baby is fine.

Happy birthday for Sunday 4ever and happy st David's day all, dh has made tummy Welsh cakes I'm off to scoff..

4everhopeful · 29/02/2012 19:19

Thanks sweetheart! Strangely enough af due next wk & I'm feeling a bit Hmm Biscuit Like the sound of getting mightily fronked! Grin That's my plan for my birthday on sunday.... despite 2ww and all that it only takes 2/3 glasses of rose so not like I'm planning on necking a bottle of vodka or anything! As for Ajay, Summers tempremental about her pushchair sometimes fine, sometimes not, i generally resort to bribery (chocolate buttons/quavers) huge distraction tactics, or try and turn it into an exciting game! Hmm Also if on way out, ill get her ready, then leave it in the middle of tge kitchen and she'll try and climb in herself - bonus! Little miss independent - god forbid we try and enforce our own plans eh?! Grin As for reins, never had a problem and maybe cos of THIS Summer has the giraffe and loves it!

Right better dash, dh on lates, she was happily watching itng and blowing kisses at upsy daisy, now she's attempting to remove her clothes and nappy, that's the new thing!

VJayazzle · 29/02/2012 16:28

Almost forgot, I came on to ask for advice. Ajay won't go in his buggy and when he's on his reins he won't let me hold them and he hates to be carried. Basically I'm either dragging him along or carrying him while he kicks and screams , and if I do get him in his buggy he gets out of the tight restraints and climbs out. Any advice?????????

VJayazzle · 29/02/2012 16:25

Arrgh 4ever you cant win can you?! You try and be positive ad look what happens Sad. Next time do as you say, and hold on til 20 weeks, which hopefully will be before you know it Smile
After I graduate I'm going to get mightely fronked Grin

4everhopeful · 29/02/2012 16:20

Wow well done Vjay you're nearly at the finish line! Huge pat on the back for you.. What's your plans for when you graduate?

Neeko sorry to hear of your stresses, i really hope your appeal goes through, don't know how you manage to juggle so much as it is, especially with your dh working such long hrs too.. Good tips from vjay there.. Bless that your household had its first ever visit from the tooth fairy! Smile Bet M looks well cute with a gappy grin!

I've been toddling along nicely, fun time at playgroup this morning, but momentarily floored when i got home and opened a pampers letter saying 'congratulations on your new arrival' Sad had been attempting positive thinking by registering my preg, stupid me, won't make that mistake again! As with Summer, i won't register a future preg til I'm about 20wks i think!

OP posts:
VJayazzle · 29/02/2012 10:58

neeko ajay and H together would be fun Grin, I would love all our mad 2 year olds to have a meet up, put them all into a room with a bouncy castle and tons of soft toys, and then we can all go off and have a coffee Grin
As for making life easier, do you get your shopping delivered, if not, try it, do it on a week day in the evening as its cheaper. I put a wash on in the mornings when I get up, I use the 45 minute wash, then once it's done it take 5 mins to put on the clothes airers, and the next morning its dry and ready for the next lot to go on. I can't think what else I do, but thats a couple of things anyway.

Busy trying to get my end of module assignment done, then start my final module ever!!! Can't believe I'm nearly done!

Neeko · 28/02/2012 13:18

Cupcake Thanks. feels a lot better just having written it down.
The tooth fairy came and left £2. M was delighted Smile

cupcakefairy · 28/02/2012 08:56

Shock neeko can't believe m's tooth falling out! I thought that happened at about 7! I'm so clueless.
Sounds really stressful with the work situation :( really hope your appeal letter works. Honestly don't know how u do it with your dh working so much, have the supermum crown!

Eek to terrible 2s, think they're starting here too, lots more tantrums and generally resisting everything we want him to do.. but he is still so lovely & funny when he's in a good mood so will let him off!

Neeko · 27/02/2012 20:25

Hi all. Technically I have a month to go before the terrible twos, but no one has told H!Grin She can turn on the tears instantly when she gets into trouble too. We're naughty step a go-go here whih is all new ground for us.

buddha Hope your first day back was ok. At least you'll have missed the tantrums! I'm sorry you've been so ill, but glad you're better now.

Vjay Hello. Haven't 'spoken' to you in ages. Hope all is well with you and all your multi-tasking. I'd love to get Ajay and H together sometime but by the sounds of it, it may need to be in an empty room!Smile

4ever Glad last week wasn't as bad as you feared. Really hoping that here'll be two lines on a stick for you soon.

Cupcake How are you feeling? How many weeks are left to go now? Both my two love gigglebiz too although M insists they are all different people!Hmm

Barbie How's it going being a mum of two? Great news on the move, if not brilliant timing. I'm sure you'll be a chic French lady in no time.

Blue Thanks so much for the Grey's heads-up as I'd have missed it otherwise. It was a superb episode and i sobbed buckets. Looking forward to our meet-up and putting the world to rights next week.

Louey hope the DTs are all better. It must be soo hard when they're both ill. Oscar sounds like such a sweetheart. I'm very impressed by your fitness regime too.

LBM the holiday sounded amazing! Where are you off to next? We've booked ribby hall again for July, but we're also considering Florida in summer 2013.

Things have been quite stressful here. Work has turned down my request for a further year of reduced working hours as it's against council policy. My HT is backing me and I've appealed with a heartfelt letter under extenuating circumstances. Still waiting to hear, but I'm not hopeful Sad
No idea what we'll do if they say no: can't manage FT due to DH still stupendously ridiculous working hours (65+ every week), but if I go P/T permanently it severely limits his alternative options as we won't be able to afford for him to take much of a pay cut. I realise we are extremely lucky to both have well-paying full time jobs but the pressure on our family for the past 3 years has been horrendous and I'm not sure I can spin any more plates than I'm currently doing without something snapping... Sad
I do totally understand the policy thing, but find it really frustrating as my workplace itself is being really supportive and I'm only wanting paid for the days I work. I really feel between a rock and a hard place. It's not just the going to work, it's the marking and preparation at home (minimum 15 h/p/w) plus keeping our home and family running. If any of you have any suggestions. I'd really appreciate it.

On a brighter note M's 1st tooth fell out at school today (and she lost it!). My baby is growing up! Hope the tooth fairy comes tonight. Smile

4everhopeful · 27/02/2012 19:13

Hi there! Thought id killed the thread! Hmm Smile

Yep fear not buddha I'm already using the terrible twos line! I'm finding it quite amusing tbh! She's even cute when she flings herself on the floor or bites her muslin when she's told for the hundreth time she can't draw on the furniture or jump up and down on the kitchen table! Grin You gotta love it really!

Thank god i put our thousands of photos on an external hard drive, taken wks and finally finished today, then our old pc appears to have given up the ghost.. Confused Have birthday money coming and had planned a new handbag and shoes, looks like its a new hard drive instead... Hmm

VJayazzle · 27/02/2012 16:46

buddha it's the twos, that's what I'm blaming ajays behaviour on, I just say 'he's 2' and shrug my shoulders. Don't get me wrong, we discipline, buts it's in one ear and out the other. You are not alone my lovely Smile

cupcakefairy · 27/02/2012 16:26

Hi buddha I'm here.. while ds is watching gigglebiz! Glad you're well enough to get back to work but :( to the behaviour..hope it improves when you're back into old routine. Pompoms still shaking for you!

BuddhaBelly · 27/02/2012 14:19

Hellloooooo anybody about? Perhaps this lovely weather has made everyone giddy for the outdoors? Grin

Well it's back to work for me tomorrow after three weeks off Blush I'll feel like the new girl Wink Unfortunately I hate to say it but there's a large part of me that's glad as Ewan's behaviour is horrendous at the moment. In fact we've just come home early from my friends house as he wouldn't behave Sad any discipline we use has a short effect but not enough to stop him repeat offending!

Right I'm going to make the most of his nap time and have a little nana nap myself. Hope everyone is ok? Smile

4everhopeful · 23/02/2012 14:04

Thanks blue, I hate to say it but was just gonna come onto say that spring has truly sprung here and its absolutely beautiful! Its definitely making today feel special and bright, the sun is shining as if to say 'your angels are all ok' Smile

4ever belated cuddles from me and Buddha's words of widsom were so very touching and true xx

I've not watched any OBEM but did tape last night's as wanted to see the Mum get her 'take home baby'. Cannot begin to know what that must feel like Sad..

Horrible weather here, blowing a gale and pouring with rain. Cheered myself up last night by ordering lots of lovely summer clothes for the boys from my mother ship (Mini Boden).

to all x

4everhopeful · 23/02/2012 11:24

Aww you're all so lovely, I don't know what id of done over the years without this wonderful thread and all of you... Thank you so much for your lovely words, this place has been such a sanctuary to just know we all share this bond and understand what its like, to have a group of women who are united by going through this is really priceless... Smile

Who saw obem last night? The poor woman had a stillbirth previously, that's got to be the most awful thing to ever go through, it meant that obviously her current pregnancy was full of fear and anxiety, and although not the same, to have lost a baby at any stage of pregnancy robs you of ever enjoying or having a normal subsequent preg, as we know, and I just wanted to hug her, I felt everything she talked about, especially the bit about not daring to believe it would be ok til your baby is actually in your arms! Very apt timing of that episode!

Anyway, today I feel quite at peace and at one, a sense of calm... DH and I had a big talk about it all last night, just thanking god for Summer, Smile and if we are lucky enough to have another its a blessing... As for ttc, I do now feel ready, if my dream was somehow prophetic then conception was literally about to happen as we'd already dtd, but my crippling ovulation pains came that day so who knows?! Watch this space! Smile

Anyway thank you again for letting me offload and being there saying such lovely kind and supportive things, and buddha i did give some extra big cuddles to Summer last night and feel I was cuddling them all, which in effect I am, cos I'm sure they all live on in her a little bit.. Smile Its a lovely way to look at it, so thank you again..

4ever a hig from me too - lovely to hear you sounding quite serene about it. But your post did nearly make me cry Sad

I loved your comment, buddhha about hugging the angel babies with summer, that is such a lovely way to look at it.

blue Where is Greys back on - I too love it but have lost loads of series since it hasn't been on 5. And v jealous at the idea of diamonds at 10 years - I got a tin card ( made from an old biscuit tin and I do love it!) and Dh got a collection of his favourite tins!!

cupcakefairy · 22/02/2012 17:57

Another hug for 4ever you're amazing. As we well know, edds generally aren't the day our babies are born so don't be Blush, this whole time is significant to you. Love what buddha said about hugging them when you're hugging summer :)

barbie glad birthday was lovely and hope dolly clearing up now. Ouch to the (.)(.) Hope you're ok. Sorry my lips are sealed re names Grin

vjay yes had heard that about Miranda too, and I can see why.. she was 100% perfect for the part. Such a lovely series, they're filming another one now yay!

BuddhaBelly · 22/02/2012 17:32

4ever you are an amazing lady and have coped so well with everything that life has thrown at you. Your angel babies will be proud to have had such a loving Mum and everytime you hug Summer you are hugging them too x x

4everhopeful · 22/02/2012 16:04

Feeling a bit Hmm and Blush

I decided to open my little babies memory bag up, I'm lucky enough to have scan pics and letters for 4 of my 5 angel babies, and its just nice for me to have something to mark there little lives... For my last angel baby I've 3 scan photos, 1is from the day we saw it had died, may seem wierd to some, but they offered the pic and i said yes, id always regretted not saying yes to the offer of the pic the day we saw my 13wk old 3rd baby had died just a few days earlier... Anyway also in the bag is my ante natal apt card & letters with booking in and nuchal scan details, as well as my letters from each scan id had with all the details, sizes and dates etc - turns out I've remembered my edd wrong.. Blush
By the lmp dates it was 21st Feb, but by ultrasound dates its 25th Feb.... Maybe my subconscious knew it might of been in the middle of those at the 23rd?! Hmm
Either way I think I've had my little moment of reminiscence, this week of our lives may of been very very different, but its not, and for the first time ever I'm able to feel that it just wasn't meant to be, and just hope that its up there with all my other angels at peace... As i said on the day, RIP my little angel Sad

Thanks ladies for letting this be the place I can thereuputically offload....

Ha ha ha I only did the one day of shred, I was in pain for three days after and have just not found the time since Grin

blue Ive not given Easter a second thought yet, St Andrews sounds nice though. DH will be working, I know that much, it's his busy time at work. As for eternity rings, is that the norm for 10 years?, that's me and dh in a couple of weeks Smile, better drop a few hints Wink. Thanks for the book recommendation too, my nans has arrived and she's really looking forward to writing in it.

cupcake I loved CTM, it was brilliant. The lady who wrote the book died last year, I think, but she put forward for Miranda to play her friend Chummy after she watched Miranda on tv, that made me Smile

Hope everyone is ok, and 4ever your dreams gave me goosebumps Smile

bluesatinsash · 22/02/2012 13:09

Hi guys sneaky post from work..

Buddha - glad you're feeling better, its awful being ill and having a wee one to look after makes it even harder.. try not to focus on getting a 2012 baby, just getting well and resuming SWI Smile Although something to note for you and 4ever - if you want a Christmas Day baby you need to get jiggy on or around the 2nd/3rd Apri (if your cycle dictates Grin).

4ever - glad your DH had a lovely birthday, I agree with Buddha you are so good to him, I know he knows it but just want to say. Dreams are our sub concious's way of sorting things out so, yes, it may now be time for you to get those sausages sizzling resume ttc'ing, how exciting and our hands are here to hold x

Barbie - loved the petting zoo photos of D and her partner in crime Barnaby - sooo cute. Hope your thrush clears up, nipples do take a bashing in the early days and weeks (they should issue a stick to bite down on with your breast pads!)

cupcake haven't watched any of CTM, probably get the boxset out and watch it after we finish 'The Killing', True blood, homeland...

Neeko - Grey's returns this week - I repeat - Grey's returns this week Grin

Louey - half term is over - hurrah! Sorry your boys have had the lurgy, you cope so well with them all. Back to qt time with little O. I love my days just me and B, pottering and not having to rush until the school run - bliss.

LBM belated happy b'day to you strapping lad and glad you had a fab time in Dubai Envy

Vjay - how's the shredding going? What are you plans for the Easter hols? We're heading up to St Andrews for the first week which also includes DH and my 8 year wedding anniversary Smile. Been told I need to wait til 10 years to get my eternity ring

Right, better go, all well here just counting the days til Spring when I come alive again Smile

BuddhaBelly · 22/02/2012 12:14

4ever Sounds as if DH had a wonderful birthday, I hope he realises what a lucky man he is Wink Are you getting back on the ttc wagon with me then? I dont think we're cycle buddies anymore though are we? I'll be thinking of you tomorrow my lovely although hopefully as the others have said the build up has been worse than the actual day x
lbm Hope ds had a fantastic birthday
Louey How is I? Hope he's feeling better very soon
Barbie How is Dolly today, hope she's feeling better soon too, ouch for the nipples did you find a lactation nurse after?
Waves to Cupcake Neeko and Blue anyone else I've forgotten too

tarting to feel more human today, getting better slowly but everything little thing leaves me breathless Sad Well we completely missed the egg this month thanks to my illness Sad really gutted as my idea to have a baby this year is slipping away quicker than I imagined Sad but it will be lovely to have a fellow ttc-er 4ever to hold my hand Smile

Neeko · 21/02/2012 21:45

Happy birthday Dolly
