About time I start a thread! Pom poms still shaking, bumps growing, babies and toddlers talk a plenty, while the support, laughs, hand holds and weebling continues...

Morining Smile

4ever I'm trying to shift the last stone too, its a bugger to go isnt it?!?

I'm still processing Cjays diagnosis to be honest, found it hard the last few days. The internet and sn board is confusing me so I'm going to wait until I get his report then I know what hes dealing with and can gather my thoughts properly then. I have spoken to his support for learning teacher, shes just brilliant, and she made some suggestions which I'm following up. Also the school have managed to get some extra support for him which we requested before we knew about the dyslexia, so I'm really pleased, that's weight off my shoulders.

barbie how's things going your end? Been thinking of you.

neeko do you know much about colour overlays?

Gotta dash, ajay is in nursery and I'm supposed to be studying Grin

Hey ladies - eventful few days here, first girly night out since Summer was born(!) on saturday, was such a wreck beforehand, I mentioned on here about the fact she is quite a mummys girl at sleeptime, but of course she was fine, went off no problems for her daddy, dont think she even noticed I was gone Smile so nice to know, and I had a fab time with the girls at a lovely reastaurant for my mates 40th, reminiscing about the good old days when we were little ravers socialites! Grin Mothers day was great, spoilt rotten bless em, but sunday night my poor sausage was burning up, then really sick, all over the bed, only 2nd time she's ever been really sick so was hysterical poor sausage, all the bedding in the washing machine at 2am, awake til 5am just staring at her and really paro, she had a milk bottle in the morning, but an hour later that came up too, so we just sat on the bed all day with the sick bucket, and my poor baby never left my arms, she was all floppy and weak and didnt even attaempt to get up, or stand let alone walk, was quite a worry, but thankfully she has recovered and is back to her whirlwind self! Unfortuneately it was my mums birthday too, so the restaurant got cancelled and we had her round here for an indian instead, and Summers first real food was poppadoms, which she couldnt get enough of! Hmm Grin Despite being better, she has been restless, and I have never been so sleep deprived..

Curly lovely to see you popping back on honey, cant wait to see you and expanding bump in a few weeks!

Cupcake cant believe you are so close, dont worry about the weight gain love, I put on 4stone Shock still struggling to lose the last stone too! 2 years later

Barbie how you doing? How long til the big move? Really feeling for you..

Vjay how are you feeling about Cjays dyslexia diagnosis now? Have you had much advice from the SN boards?

Sabs, Curly and Neeko for your sad anniversaries, will always be etched on our brains..

Sabs hope the house is nearly sorted?!

Neeko and Blue have your hols started yet? Looks like we're in for some decent weather so outdoor activities it is! Grin We have a 5yr olds softplay party at that place I sent a link to on our meet up e-mail tomorrow, so should be fun!

Neeko what are you doing for H's birthday? Not long now!

LBM you made me laugh about the dance stuff! Got it all to come! Thinking about getting her into some classes when she's turned 2.. Hmm

Moon hope you're geared up and feeling militant for friday? How exciting about the wedding! L o v e d planning ours, and also wondered what on earth Id do with myslef once the planning was done! I agree, nursing the early wks of preg would be the best distraction! Wink

Waves to the lurkers! Must dash, meant to be on here ordering Summer a trampoline and slide for her birthday! Yep, the planning has commenced! Cant believe my babys turning 2!

Every blade of grass crossed for you my lovely xxx

barbie lovely lady, as all the others have said, we'd all be really stressing in your position, you're doing such an amazing job holding it all together. And being aware of your feelings can only be a good thing so that IF they do continue back in the UK you can nip it in the bud. Hugs to you xxx

I am feeling so massive.. have put on 2stone 8lbs so far :( & still 8 weeks to go.. found out a woman at our play class who I thought was only about 20 wks is actually due same time as me.. haha, I am HUGE! Meh. Grin

VJayazzle · 19/03/2012 09:45

Thanks neeko, that means a lot and I will take a look at that website Smile

barbie I would be feeling the same as you in your situation, there is a huge amount if pressure on you at the moment so don't take it personally, just do what you can and ask for help, easier said than done I know. Xx

CurlyLikesShortShorts · 18/03/2012 22:48

Hello, is it okay for me to come in? Blush I just wanted to wish all of you lovely ladies a very happy mothers day, and especially those born to be mums whose much wanted babies haven't quite found them yet.

I'm sorry I've been gone so long :( I've been struggling for the last few months with constant sickness and anxiety that I haven't really been able to face till now. I am most embarrassed that I have missed out on little Henry being born. I was convinced he wasn't due for ages. Massive congratulations to lovely Barbie I can't wait to meet him and you and Dolly in April Grin.

Big hugs to all who need them. It's almost three years to the day since the edd for my first little lost one and I know that there are quite a few edds around now :( I will catch up with you all properly as soon as I can. I have missed you all so much xxx

Neeko · 18/03/2012 20:25

Clearly I'm rubbish at links Hmm

Hi to Buddha too. How's the pox?

Neeko · 18/03/2012 20:22

Hi all. Thanks for the hugs. I seem to be finding it particularly hard this year and don't know why...
Anyway Happy Mothers' Day to you all.

Barbie It sounds altogether normal for a mum of two to me (but my HV did want to put me on anti-ds so what do I know??) You have an AWFUL lot on your plate like now and like all of us Emmsys you're a control freak, yet unfortunately lots of what's happening/about to happen is out of your control and that's really hard. Having another child is much more than 2x as hard IME so try very much to let go a little and give yourself a break. It's only natural that you want everything tobe settled for your much wanted and loved little family and you worked really hard at making the sand-pit your home. It'll all come good again soon.

Vjay I really feel for you with Ajay. I know that you kind of expected the dyslexia diagnosis, but still. On the positives it will strengthen his IEP and give you more clout to insist that he gets the support at school that he needs and deserves. Have a look at www.dore.co.uk/this. I went to a presentation by them many years ago when they established as DDAT and have taught two children who used the programme and it did seem to help. It's all to do with the development of the cerebellum. I'll raid the back of my classroom cupboard and see if I can find any of the stuff. He's really lucky to have you as a mum.

Moon Hi! So exciting about the wedding and so lovely that you've done so much yourself to make it personal. I'll keep everything crossed for your consultation and hope you have some mild morning sickness to keep you occupied after June!

LBM I'm afraid the date is just etched in my brain. I'm totally with you on the dance show thing! Smile

Cupcake Hello. Is J still waking as early?

Sabs A hug for you too. Nice that you'll have RL Emmsy support on the day. How's the house coming on?

Blue V impressed by the Tin Tin costume, you wonder mummy.

BlueMoon1981 · 18/03/2012 19:56

Thank you girls :)

Wedding plans are going well thanks, 81 days to go :) Df has been working away since November, so its kept me occupied in the evenings, making invitations, favours, place cards, and lots of googling for shoes, bridesmaids dresses, underwear, jewellery..... what I will do in the evenings after June I have no idea!

BuddhaBelly · 18/03/2012 16:40

Moon I too thought of you and Jooles today and the fact that we have all been a mummy however brief it was, we all had the same dreams and wishes for our babies whether rl or angel ones. Good luck for Friday x
Barbie so sorry you are feeling Sad and Angry just take a step back and look at things. Dolly is approaching that wonderful age of pushing boundaries even without a new baby brother to mess things up in her little world. You've not long given birth, after a stressful pg, you've all been poorly recently. H has been sleeping badly and possible reflux. Your leaving your first family home and moving countries so I'm not surprised you've been feeling crap my lovely Smile Take it easy on yourself and like you say keep an eye on things when you move x
Big wave to 4ever

Hope everyone is having a lovely day Smile

4everhopeful · 18/03/2012 16:37

X posting with barbie too, huge hugs honey, i just can't even begin to imagine the stress you must be under, its a collosal thing to undertake a move, let alone to another country, on a tempory basis, knowing you have to do it again a few wks later, that you're leaving a land of luxuries and changing cultures, but the fact you are juggling a newborn and a toddler as well, beggars belief and must be completely overwhelming and scary... You have my sympathies, and respect for not breaking down beforehand! In a few wks, the worst will be over, seeing your families and homeland will help, your kids will adjust fine, think of angelina jolie dragging her brood all over the world! Stay strong lovely x

Aw moon my silly phone, didn't see your post, bless you sweetheart cos you will get to celebrate this day, I spent 4 yrs terrified I wouldn't too, keep the faith, and you turn that fear into determination and kick some serious ass at your apt on friday... We'll come in the barbiemobile in full militant mode to back you up, if I were you id be pushing for IVF, clomid while you wait, and stressing the psychological impact of being left in limbo by there neglectfulness for so long... I'm Angry for you, its just not fair... All I've been thinking today is of those awful few yrs that this day broke my heart and was so hard to bear... Sending you a hug, and a suit of armour and army tank ready for you to go into battlemode Wink

bluemoon it's s strange, but every time I think of you, you came back and post Smile how are you? I packed my wedding dress a few days ago and wondered how your wedding plans were getting on? Please let us know how you get on on Friday, we are all here for you so don't be a stranger xxx

Happy mothers day to everyone, yes that's including you moon. I know some of us haven't had the pleasure of holding onto our babies but you are still a mum. I emails Jools earlier to say the same. I know how tough this day must be for a few of you, but this thread is still going to get you all to the end...

I'm struggling a bit Sad not sure if I have pnd or wether the move and all the stress is just getting to me. I'm tearful and angry, I feel like I am just getting through each day with out particularly enjoying it. I have list about list, my mind never rest.
I have spoken to dh, he thinks I'm stressed about the move and emotional because I really don't want to leave here. He also thinks I'm putting too much pressure on myself and I'm getting angry because I feel like I can't do the things I need too.

Once home I will go to a gp if the feelings don't disappear, I hate feeling like this..in fact I am in tears just writing it down. Dolly is playing up, pushing the boundaries and I feel like I'm constantly shouting at her. Isure she is picking up on my stress...and with that comes the guilt.

Sorry to pour it all out, I just feel a little lost right now.

4everhopeful · 18/03/2012 15:49

Happy Mothers day to everyone, all of us that dreamed of celebrating this day, and those of us that still will..... Smile Thanks

Surprised no ones posted today, lets not forget how far we've come... I'm sat here counting my blessings, sure you are too...

Happy Mothers Day to all the mummies Thanks Here's hoping that one day I can be a mummy and join in too.

I have my next consultant appointment on Friday so am a bit Hmm Confused right now. If they turn me down again I dont know how I'll cope.

I must apologise for not being around for ages, I lurk sometimes but I feel like I'm outsider now (from my own point of view, not from anything you girls say or do). Hugs to you all.

littlebellsmum · 16/03/2012 23:52

evening ladies - just felt the need to post on a late evening lurk. neeko , you do so well to remember with everything going on. I know the worst day of my life was in early feb 3 years ago but I struggle to remember when. I do remember "her" edd though - and yes, she might have only been tiny but I'm sure it was a girl.

4ever I love your MIL's comment. I also love your ttc story with summer around!!

barbie Hope the packings going well and prioritising for the 7 suitcases. You will look back on this time in amazement in years to come and wonder how on earth you did it!!

Vjay Another hurdle to mount for you. Bless cjays comment about the autisim wearing off - don't suppose it will but you will all just get better at managing it and so, it might feel like it does.

I need to check on the meet up - just realised that my mum and dad might have the older DC's and so, if it is just me and BB, then we will come. Tate modern sounds lovely - DD1 was there on a school trip last week!

Other than that need to go - second NCT sale of the year tomorrow to get rid of more stuff and just finishe labelling. Spent the evening in a theatre an hour from home watching DD and her school dance for 5 minutes and then spent the other 1hr 40 minutes watching other peoples children dance!!And to add insult, she then wants to buy the DVD so that we can watch other peoples children dance!! But she had a great time and it was lovely really!! Happy weekend all

VJayazzle · 16/03/2012 17:53

Smile thanks 4ever and mr4ever, and that is a really lovely thing your mil said Smile

4everhopeful · 16/03/2012 17:45

Aww vjay, poor sausage, but what you just said is a good way to look at it.. My nans dyslexic, at least now there's so much more awareness and help nowadays.. Still a shock to hear though, but your little man sounds like such a strong minded and wise little character, its not the challenge it used to be... Just mentioned to my lovely dh, he said he was sure John Lennon was dyslexic, so he googled it, and so is Tom Cruise, Orlando Bloom, Steve Jobs(!), Walt Disney, Richard Branson, Picasso and Davinci, amongst countless others! Your boys in great company! Wink Smile

Sabs wierdly the date we meet up was my first ever edd, 4yrs ago.. My mil said a lovely thing the other day, that as Summer is such a livewire and so physically and emotionally strong, that she must be all 6 babies in one! Smile

VJayazzle · 16/03/2012 17:01

Thanks, I've put a post on the sn board to see if anyone knows anything or can give me any advice. At the end of the day he's had dyslexia all along hasn't he, it's just that we know about it now.

cupcakefairy · 16/03/2012 16:59

neeko massive hugs x x x

vjay I too felt emotional reading your post, bless him asking if the autism will wear off :( it doesn't mean his life has to be harder though. And we all know you are strong enough to deal with it all. Hugs for you too!

barbie1 · 16/03/2012 15:26

Barbie picks her way around the boxes, cases and general mess to run in for a group hug.

Neeko, we are here to help you remember, gone but never forgotten x

Vjay, I had tears in my ears reading your post. Cjay has gone through so much, but with you as his mum and your strong family unit this will just be another little challenge for him. You will help him cope and be strong. My dad is dyslexic but that hasn't stopped him from being to most kind, caring and wonderful dad. His spelling might not be up to scratch but his drawing is amazing, probably due to a little bit of his help that I got an A for a level art Wink

Another one on chicken pox alert. Dollies nursery had a few cases and dolly herself has a rash and a few spots. The nurse took a look and suspected heat rash but we have to see if they turn....

Packing has started, it's all a mess, so I'll apologise if i can't find the laptop to post a lot in the next few days...

VJayazzle · 16/03/2012 13:48

Hi, have found out today that cjay is dyslexic Sad, I feel so sorry for him, he's now got this to deal with too, but then again I suppose he already was. I'm not going to tell him yet because he asked me the other day if his autism will 'ware off' Sad, and is struggling a bit. He will be ok though, I'm his mum Grin. Just needed to let it out Smile

SabsFabulous · 16/03/2012 13:17

Hugs to neeko We can never forget can we? Hope you're feeling OK.

You made me realise that the date we're meeting up in London will be the 3rd anniversary of my lost angel's EDD Sad I guess a few us will be having EDD anniversaries around this time.

Hugs to anyone else who wants one x

4everhopeful · 15/03/2012 23:41

Aw neeko sweetheart, late night lurk and want to let you know I'm thinking of you, you're little angel will never be forgotten.. Sad We've all come such a long way, but we all remember the heartaches.. xxxxxx
