About time I start a thread! Pom poms still shaking, bumps growing, babies and toddlers talk a plenty, while the support, laughs, hand holds and weebling continues...

Yay moon that is brilliant news Grin

BlueMoon1981 · 23/03/2012 11:16

Thank you so much for your good luck wishes :) I'm sorry I wasnt on here last night to thank you for them - I've been ill all week with a flu bug thing, I've felt awful and have pretty much just been sleeping! In my working life I have never been sent home from work, and I got sent home twice this week.

But the news you are all waiting for...................
I have been given Clomid Grin Grin Grin I am soooooo happy!

cupcakefairy · 23/03/2012 08:45

mls some of obem freaks me out massively too but it also encourages me.. like the girl pushing out the b2b baby in this wk's.
Sorry I have an Android but pretty sure I have heard people saying there is a way to refresh pages on the iPhone, might be worth a Google!

VJayazzle · 23/03/2012 08:14

Thanks buddha Smile

neeko his teacher suggested the overlays, they are using them and for me to get some to try at home. I've seen some on eBay.

mls I used the app for a while but couldn't get used to it so just use normal mumsnet and bookmark the pages and hit refresh.

Waves to lurky ladies an good luck today moon Smile

BuddhaBelly · 23/03/2012 08:00

"is" not "us" Blush

BuddhaBelly · 23/03/2012 07:59

Thinking of you today moon good luck

I'll be back later to post properly, Vjay massive apology for missing you on my last post following the dyslexic diagnosis for Cjay. As others have said he has a strong mummy who supports him unconditionally and it's surprising how much that will help him. I know it's another hurdle for him that you would rather he didn't have to face but knowing us half the battle x

Laters Smile

bluesatinsash · 22/03/2012 22:50

Hi MLS . There is a MN app but I haven't downloaded it yet. I saved the thread as a bookmark on my safari button and it opens it to the page every time Smile.

Hope everyone gets a good nights sleep zzzzz xxxx

MummysLittleSunbeams · 22/03/2012 21:53

to neeko cheeky mare! Wink

Ok iPhone people, as I'm now posting on my iPhone instead of my knackered old laptop, every time I go into mn do I have to go through the rigamarole of coming out of the thread, going back in & then flipping it so that the newest posts come first? Isn't there an easier way to refresh it?

Neeko · 22/03/2012 21:12

With you in spirit tomorrow Moon Please let us know what happens.

Bout time you were back MLS you slacker!Grin

Vjay Been doing some digging for you and have spoken to my friend who is head of LS and will text/email you soon. Have you been to your doc? You will need a medical diagnosis if Cjay needs overlays/coloured glasses to help with the dyslexia. An optician won't do anything for that.

Cupcake 4 stone with M, almost 3 with H. Stop worrying. It will come off when it's time as long as you remember to stop eating like a bfing woman I forgot! Just enjoy it all.

Blue Have lovely Easter hols when they come.

Have to go because I'm shattered. Sending the Sandman to 4ever and Barbie. I feel your pain!

Sorry if I missed anyone.

MummysLittleSunbeams · 22/03/2012 20:35

Yes I've been watching obem religiously. Quite often with my hands over my eyes going "lalalalala"! Grin Seriously some of it is freaking me out. I felt quite emotional when that girl had to deliver at 30 weeks. All I could think was that baby was the same size as the one inside me. Poor tiny little thing in ventilator. Sad

Another thing that made me v sad last night was catching up with Tuesday's Enders. Omg I so didn't expect that!

No not decided on names yet, dh had the cheek to suggest (seriously) Doris for a girl!! We seems to be focussing more on boys names atm though... Hmm

cupcakefairy · 22/03/2012 18:20

mls I'd be lucky to keep it under 4 stone at this rate! Yep think we have decided the names but need backups just invade! Dh has agreed to discuss this properly soon! You? Think I said before I would absolutely have sadie as a top choice were it not for stoopid Jude law & sadie frost! Annoying. Ooh will be exciting if u have a boy!

Thinking of you for tomorrow moon

Anyone see obem last night? The bit that really made me sob was the mum saying 'that is nothing!' To her baby's cleft lip when she saw it.. just such a lovely moment that showed a mother's total unconditional love (cos even her dh didn't look convinced it was 'nothing') I felt quite humbled by it was lovely.

VJayazzle · 22/03/2012 17:14

Good luck for tomorrows appointment moon Smile

MummyLovesSanta · 22/03/2012 13:56

Well I don't have a hope in hell of catching up with two and a half months of chat do I?

Moon How lovely to come back & see you are here too. Really pleased you have a consultant appt tomorrow too. Get ready to kick some golfing butt girl.

Cupcake I've now officially reached the 2 stone mark & I've 9 weeks to go. I hoped to keep in under 2 stone in total but I guess that's not going to happen . Have you decided on a name yet?

Barbie I know I wasn't here when your gorgeous ds was born but we've been in touch on fb. I wasn't sure if you were moving back to the uk or just coming back for a break but now I realise it's permanent. Please don't be too hard on yourself esp with you losing your temper with your dd. It always happens when no 2 comes along, you think it never will but it does. You listen to yourself & think "shut up ffs" but it's almost impossible to control!

Vjay Sorry you have been sent yet ANOTHER challenge to overcome, if anyone can overcome it it's you.

Neeko belated {{{hugs}}} for your sad anniversary last week.

Everything is ticking along nicely in the MLS household. I'm 31 weeks tomorrow - not quite sure how that happened. The girls are both well (btw so sure I'm having a boy next) & dh is behaving himself & not doing my head in too much! As Blue said we just bought a Volvo 4x4, bloomin expensive having a 3rd dc as the back seat on most cars only fit 2 child seats.

Right, now for that name change........

VJayazzle · 22/03/2012 12:54

Ha ha good to see you feeling so festive mls Grin

cupcakefairy · 22/03/2012 12:39

MLS Grin hello! Good to see you.

MummyLovesSanta · 22/03/2012 12:29

Oh dear that shows how long it's been. Must change my name too.

MummyLovesSanta · 22/03/2012 12:28

Coooeeeee Grin right must read back a bit.....

4everhopeful · 22/03/2012 09:35

Yep but a very grumpy girl here this morning, actually that probably goes for both of us! Hmm

Vjay that's what I was saying about my nan having dyslexia, she's 85, in her day she was just seen as 'stupid' Sad & made into the homemaker and cake baker whilst my great aunt was seen as the 'clever' one who went onto be a headteacher, its very sad and unfair, the divide remained between them their whole lives and now my nans developing dementia, so my aunts feeling of superiority to her is now even moreso.. Sad The lack of understanding of it back then has repercussions that lasted lifetimes.. Things are hugely different now thank god, look at that list of celebs that have it, the help that's out there now is absolutely fantastic and it sounds like Cjay already has some fantastic people around him, his lovely mum being one of them of course! Smile

VJayazzle · 22/03/2012 07:22

blue you're right about the people born 50+ years ago when awareness was just not there. In fact one old lady I used to work with said 'it's funny you never had autism around when I was young' in a rather accusing tone. What she didn't realise is that autism was around just not diagnosed as such.

4ever hope you managed some sleep.

4everhopeful · 21/03/2012 23:57

Summers routine is totally messed up by her being so poorly at the beginning of the week, finally went to sleep at 10.30pm Hmm Shock I am beyond tired, these last few days have all rolled into one, I've been permanently on duty, no respite even at night as its totally messed up her sleep pattern and have been wide awake for 2hrs at a time around 2ish, Dh gets up at 6am, I'm absolutely hanging... Don't know why in fact, I'm even lurking or posting as should be grasping a sleep opportunity, but did lurk and was gonna answer barbie & all this blurbed out instead, do excuse me, I'm slightly delirious!

Anyway, Summer in a vest and long sleeves too, chunky cardi or coat when out, however last fee days have dropped the vest and we are in for a warm spell, however your poor babbys are used to arabian sun, so i suggest layers!

Ladies my eyes are actually watering with tiredness -

Blue Grin no hi tops, not even back then, but did own a few flourescent cycle shorts, classy eh?! Skinny jeans and heels was saturdays attire!

Vjay and Cupcake a weak wave as I fight my eyelids no more...

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

OP posts:
cupcakefairy · 21/03/2012 22:43

Argh stupid auto correct!! barbie that should have said LAYER up, and MEDS.. sorry!

cupcakefairy · 21/03/2012 22:42

barbie ds is also in a vest with a long sleeved top most days, with either a fleece or gilet (or both if a bit nippy) when outdoors. You know British weather! I would suggest light things you can later up :)
Hope the mess do the trick for poor little h :(

4ever glad s is back to normal, sounds horrible with the sickyness :( so glad u enjoyed girls night out.

vjay fab that school have for extra support in place for cjay, sounds like he's in the right place!

Thanks re weight gain blue & all, am relieved u put on similar amount too as others I've spoken to seem to only put on 2st or less.. no idea how!!

VJayazzle · 21/03/2012 18:18

Ajay is wearing a vest and light jumper in the house then either his jacket or wee fleecy coat depending on how cool it is, but remember I'm the most northerly Emmsy here Grin

barbie1 · 21/03/2012 17:44

Just to say, I'm lurking but have hardly any time to post. Once I get my uk number I will text it to you all.

Just to up date, 20 mins sleep last night and h crying so hard he was choking himself really freaked me out so back to docs today.

One bright green poo later we have come to the conclusion that I'm producing too much milk. 5oz expressed in 10 mins....too much fore milk and not enough good stuff is providing too much lactose which ferments in h tummy and causes pain and gas.

Super strong medication given today, was dead against it but his little face last night soaked with tears looking at me as to say 'please help me' broke my heart so I'm going to do anything to help the poor little mite....

Quick question as I packing...what are the kids wearing? How many layers? I have no idea what to dress them in!!!

Will trying personals as soon as I get some sleep and time.

Love b x

bluesatinsash · 21/03/2012 14:13

Hi there Smile Have sneaked on at work

Vjay - so glad Cjay's school of one step ahead and giving him additional support ahead of the report. As 4ever says its so much better understood these days which is half the battle. Hi greatest support is having you as his Mum, fighting and supporting him through everything - he's a lucky boy Smile

I always feel Sad for the children born 50+ years ago before autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia and similar conditions were known about. Children then were just ignored or treated as stupid and can you imagine life then if you were autistic must have been a living hell for some Sad... Even at my primary back in the late 1970's my fellow pupils were just thought of as odd or weird or stupid when they may have flourished under guidance and support. i'm so thankful my boys were born in an age when disability and special needs are ingrained into society and children are no longer 'normal' or 'weird' - we are all normal/weird to varying degrees!

4ever - so sorry to hear Summer's been ill - its awful when they are all lifeless and weak (although I do love the snuggles). My B has not been himself either, think the time of year isn't helping, one day its warm, the next cold, damp, rain - bleugh. Glad you had a fab time with your fellow cheesy quavers Wink did you wear your Hi-tec high tops and cycling shorts? No? didn't think so Grin.

barbie - so feeling for you with the packing, little Henry's reflux and having time for Dolly. I would be stressed to the max too. Neeko put it so well referring to our need for control and order and moving house with a tiny baby, let along moving country to start again is beyond Confused. I hope you're getting as much help as you can with the move. Dubair has been a magical place for you and your DH, you created your little family and it will always be special in your heart Smile

Moon I hope Friday sets you off down the path of parenthood I really do. Please let us know what the consultant says. Your wedding plans sound so lovely, I loved all the pre-wedding organising though stopped short of the Madonna telephone headset to bark orders Grin

Buddha how are things with you? Has E's pox cleared up? B had it when he was 6 months old but your not apparently immune if you catch it before the age of one.

So Envy of all of you meeting up - Sabs, Curly, Barbie, 4ever. Tate Modern sounds fabulous Smile. I would have been there in a flash if I wasn't so far away.... meh.

Talking of meet ups, Neeko you never know it may be warm and sunny when we finally get together and we can play in George Square Wink. How did your meeting with the Head Teacher go?

Cupcake I put on 3 stone with both boys and lost it both times - stress and breastfeeding did it for me! Just relax and open another packet of mini eggs Smile. Glad you had a fab day with your friend too Smile

LBM - my Mum had three girls so you can imagine her joy at sitting though 4 hours of Stenhouse School of Dancing summer show - he he. My poor Dad used to nod off I think! Days before sneakily reading your i-phone... I do remember the Principal Teacher told the audience the Scotland score (1982 World Cup!) and my Dad had purposely avoided the telly as he had taped it - he was not happy Grin

Well I am counting the hours days until the school holidays. Its been a l-o-n-g term. We're off to St Andrews on Sat 30th March for a few days and DH and me are going out for our 8 year anniversary (which is on 2nd April) meal that night. Boys are joining us the next day and we're praying for good weather . We've also treated ourselves to a new car - bye bye volvo estate, hello volvo 4 x 4 - MLS has the same one so we have been bonding over FB on how fab they are Smile

Right, better get back to daydreaming about my hols work

later mater x
