About time I start a thread! Pom poms still shaking, bumps growing, babies and toddlers talk a plenty, while the support, laughs, hand holds and weebling continues...

bluesatinsash · 31/03/2012 12:58

Hey everyone Smile

About to leave for St Andrews but wanted to say hhey and belated Happy Birthday to Hannah although I texted on the day, didn't get a chance to log on (Easter Disco at school!). Have a fab two weeks break neeko - its been a long term!!

louey - have a fab time in Tenerife!

4ever - heart was in my mouth reading about Summer. Well done for keeping calm, at least she didn't swallow them and you had to wait on them - ahem- reappearing out the other end...

Vjay - glad Ajay's inhaler is working and Cjay's meeting went well. Are you on school holiday too? Grin at your use to Bjay - thanks for not as I prob wouldn't have chosen Benjamin if you had chosen it first (crazy I know) so would have had a little Samuel running around Grin

MLS - disposable knickers? pah! Get yourself seom cheap BHS chin hugger black ones. I did and they saw me through post-birth and I still wear them at night during AF days My DS1 has James as his middle name - very traditional and safe and he can use it as his first name if he ever tires of Isaac or becomes a barrister!

cupcake - yes we will all be stalking the baby names thread and will flush you out Wink

barbie - hope the move is going well.

Right, gotta go, off to pack bag. I'm soooo delighted its the holidays x

VJayazzle · 30/03/2012 17:09

4ever cjay meeting went really well thanks and I think Ajay inhaler is starting to work, he slept through the last couple of nights Shock

cupcake I nearly called Ajay Benjamin James but the initial stopped me!!!!

Lovely weather up here today, I can't keep Ajay indoors, if we are in he grabs my shoes and says outside mummy Grin

I wonder how barbie I getting on?

cupcakefairy · 30/03/2012 15:52

Lol!! So annoying how everything has connotations.. I really like Sybil but could never do it because of fawlty towers! Though Downton has gone some way towards redeeming that name.
Cassie is on our list actually.. love it.
Will have to try & come up with more for you!

MummysLittleSunbeams · 30/03/2012 09:24

cupcake lol at you saying your surname rhymes with gay! I love the name Cassandra/Cassie but because of my bloody surname it's not even up for discussion!

cupcakefairy · 30/03/2012 08:45

Sorry mls only just read your posts.. yep and also our surname rhymes with gay already so need to avoid any further bullying potential! so much doesn't go with it its really annoying!
Probably will post in baby names at some point.. we have a big list of ones we sort-of like but don't love.. Meh.

louey have an amazing holiday!

Loueytb3 · 29/03/2012 23:38

V quick post from me to wish neeko's H a happy 2nd birthday!! (just got in before it ended...)

Have been frantically packing - flying to Tenerife first thing tomorrow morning and we have just finished packing.

Unfortunately Oscar still up and not happy so not sure how much sleep we will get tonight.

So lovely to see moon and curly posting Smile. moon have lots of things crossed for you. Should be able to lurk while I'm away as allegedly we have limited wi-fi.

Love to you all x

MummysLittleSunbeams · 29/03/2012 22:00

Ah yes I think I know what your surname is. If you had Gabriel would there be too many 'r' sounds??? Hmm

MummysLittleSunbeams · 29/03/2012 21:58

Ohhhhh yes yes yes cupcake do that & post NOW I'm always browsing the name threads!!

cupcakefairy · 29/03/2012 21:37

Ooh I like Gil & Gabe mls we've thought about Gilbert.. can't use Gabe as too close to rhyming with our surname.
I think we will use the nn as full name if this is a girl.. I just worry that she'll hate it & not have any options to change it to. Maybe I'll namechange & start a thread in baby names!

MummysLittleSunbeams · 29/03/2012 21:15

Yay neeko hurrah for school hols! What have you got planned?

MummysLittleSunbeams · 29/03/2012 21:14

cupcake yes dd2's name on the cert is the one we call her. Apparently it's been used as a name in its own right since the 16th century. Dd1's middle name is Bea..... just Bea! If it wasn't her mn I'd have no hesitation is using is as a first name if the next one turns out to be a girl. So we are looking for a similar type of name, something traditional, old-fashioned but not over-used. Dh wants a name of one syllable if it's a boy. He's suggested Gill or Gabe, which I'm not over-fond of. I'll allow him the middle name of 'James' though! Grin

Neeko · 29/03/2012 21:06

Hi all. Thanks for the lovely messages and texts. She's had a great day. I'm on holiday for 2 weeks as of tomorrow so I'll be back for a catch-up soon.

cupcakefairy · 29/03/2012 20:51

Hi mls :) gosh, scary reading you saying only 8 weeks as I'm about a week before.. Argh! Although I'm sure you'll have yours before me! No won't use Johnny as don't want 2 j names but if it's a boy middle name will def be John as it is in the family loads. We thought we were decided on names but now having doubts! The girls name we want is really a nickname but we don't like any of the names its short for so just having a crisis over whether we should put the nn on the birth cert Confused did you with dd2?

4ever omg can't believe you stayed calm at that how flipping scary! (And I mean the thought of losing the rings as well as what it could have done to s!!)

So so pleased to hear the one who nicks the strawbs has been lurking, I miss her & often think of her x

MummysLittleSunbeams · 29/03/2012 15:05

Happy birthday to H, happy birthday to H happy birthday to HHHHH..... happy birthday to H! looking forward to seeing pics of the cheeky monkey!

4ever thank God autopilot took over, its always best to flap afterwards in situations like that! I'd highly recommend doing a St John 1st aid course for children. I did one last year although how much of it I'd remember in the heat of the moment I'm not sure.

Moon hows the clomid making you feel? I've heard the side-effects can be a real PITA.

Vjay ventolin is a rescue inhaler, if his symptoms persist it would be a good idea to ask for a preventative inhaler which would be used twice a day. They kept dd1 on just ventolin for ages but as soon as she had the preventative one I really noticed a difference. It's a bit like constantly fighting a fire but what would be better is to stop the fire from happening in the first place.

Cupcake I too am suddenly feeling huge & am waddling like a duck! Its a real effort now pushing the buggy especially uphill. Are you still considering the name Johnny?

Curly lol at you vomming in dh's bathroom! Grin How many weeks are you now? Do you know the flavour or are you going to find out?

Has Gracie been around at all? Isn't she due soon?

Well I'm now having a minor panic, only 8 weeks to go & we don't have a car seat, all the baby clothes are in the loft, I can't remember what I'm supposed to pack in my hospital bag & we haven't moved dd2 into her new room! Her cot-bed arrived today & I managed to assemble the drawer, I'm leaving the rest of it to dh who, by the way, is a bit of a diy disaster! Oh & I can't find any disposable knickers anywhere, they are either too big or too small!

4everhopeful · 29/03/2012 14:07

Tell me about it vjay! Its amazing how autopilot takes over, it was only afterwards i felt sick with the panic of what could of happened... Confused She was laying on our bed on her tummy watching tv and I saw she had them in her mouth, when I said 'out your mouth now!' the cheeky monkey flipped on her back and laughed at me, and down they went Shock god it was awful I keep replaying it, thank god I got them out, the relief was absolutely immensely, she was a right state for about 5mins then straight back to her cheeky ittle self! Afterwards i noticed one of the diamonds was missing from the eternity ring and thought id have to check her poo(!) but found it on the bed! A small price to pay!

How did your meeting go with Cjays teachers yesterday? I do hope they were helpful and reassuring? How does Cjay feel about it all now its sunk in? Hope Ajays chest (& sleep) is improving with the inhaler too?
