About time I start a thread! Pom poms still shaking, bumps growing, babies and toddlers talk a plenty, while the support, laughs, hand holds and weebling continues...

lbm I'm still defrosting Grin, I don't think we will see summer this year, have you seen the snow I've got forecast today?!? Shock

4ever your poor poor nephew, I can't believe he can't resit, it was totally out of his control!!

MummysLittleSunbeams · 10/05/2012 07:16

Hehe lbm no I'm still here! Thanks for the bed/bath tips, I guess it's just a case of muddling through.

4ever after my year of mc's in 2009, I fell pg with dd2 just after dd1's 2nd birthday & the age gap turned out to be perfect.

cupcake have you heard of using epo to help ripen your cervix?? I was speaking to someone who started using it at our stage & she gave birth 6 weeks ago & said she barely knew she was in labour & the baby just dropped out of her! So I bought some from sainsburys yesterday & started using it last night. You don't take it orally btw!! Blush

Gotta go, a little person has just started shouted "milky Mummy"!

littlebellsmum · 09/05/2012 23:27

evening ladies - any more baby signs, ladieswhoarereadytopop? At the risk of worrying you, cupcake, MLS hasn't been on for 2 days nor on facebook.... She's going to beat you.....

MLS Incase you're not having a baby - how do you do three kids bed and bathtime? stay at work untill late and let daddy do it Grin? More honestly, you have discovered my scummy mummy secret - the older 2 don't have a bath everyday and so, BB has her bath at 6.30 and is in bed by 7, older 2 read/ go on computer untill 7, then they get in PJ's , hve a wash and DH reads to them before they go to bed - used to be 7.30 for them but is now nearer 8. With older 2 dc's being close in age like your dd2 and baby will be, ds had to scream whilst I sorted dd1 or they were bathed together and I then sorted him in the bathroom while she splashed. Just wait untill you have to add homework into the mix...

cupcake we too have no plans for BB's birthday - need to go in the loft and find out which second hand presents to give her(!) We have loads and I don't want her to have too much and will probably do cake etc on her birthday and maybe a picnic over the weekend, assuming it ever stops raining....

4ever as ever, you are the organised one Smile.I hope Summer realises how lucky she is to have a mum like you. Lovely to hear how well the preschool went so well.

barbie Hope the move goes well and (whispering) that the corner is most firmly turned.

blue Loving the idea of daddydaycare - I've just booked to meet up with some school friends in a couple of weeks for lunch on Saturday in Birmingham, which means that daddy will be in charge here all day. And as you mentioned scones, I have to share my top tip - I had friends round for coffee last week and wanted to make some scones. But as BB had made such a meal of walking home, didn't have much time left and not enough time to cut them out. So I just rolled the dough once and cut into rough fingers. Ta da, the lightest scones I've ever made as they were so lightly handled!!

neeko lovely to hear from you - it's funny but as all mine have been in nearly fulltime daycare, I've never had the preschool bit to worry about. They just move into a different room. However as BB will only be 4 and 4 months when she starts school, that does seem really young. Has the dreaded marking started yet?

vjay Hope the beach wasn't too chilled?

On that subject - does anyone think we are ever going to get a summer? Or even a break in the rain long enough for me to plant some seeds - I need something in my veggie plot!!

cupcakefairy · 09/05/2012 19:48

Wow 4ever you're so organised!! Shock we haven't planned a thing for ds' birthday!! So glad your tour went well, sounds like she'll get on perfectly there.
Yep, SIL is back round the corner now and on red alert! I have a huge list of backups and lift options etc cos I'm so paranoid something won't work out! She did his whole bath and bedtime on Sat when we went for our date night and he was an angel for her so I feel much better about it all now; I know he'll be absolutely fine!
Pompoms waving for a perfectly timed bfp for you!
:( about your nephew what rubbish timing.

LBM lol, so cute about bb's singing.. we often play 'guess the cbeebies theme tune' with ds and it is shocking how fast he can name the show from us humming a few notes of the theme! Shock definitely watches it too much Blush

MLS how are you doing? I have a sweep booked for Friday but sure it won't do a thing...my midwife just seems to really believe in them and said she'd do them every few days so I thought why not!

4everhopeful · 09/05/2012 09:56

Hey ladies! Smile DH has been off work for a luvverly long bank hol weekend but back today Sad, so haven't even been lurking, completely hadnt realised Cupcake and MLS are actually practically ready to pop! Shock How very exciting! I shall be avidly lurking from now on!

MLS any more twinges?! Good news about DD2's lump as well..

Cupcake is your SIL back now for impromptu babysitting duty when required?!

Barbie good luck with your move and do hope little H is doing ok now...

Blue boooo to working on bank hols!

Vjay I LOL too as the comparison of shelling peas, if only eh?! Grin Was Envy of day at the beach, however brrrrr!

Buddha think both you and MLS asked where I was on my cycle and ttc, Ov seems to happen around day 10 (only know from pain, not doing temps/opks) and cycle is around 26 days Hmm AF just gone, mightily relieved that means am not 8/9 wks pg in danger time on hols, AF due just before Summers birthday in couple weeks, dont want a BFP then either, after hols would be cool, actually concieved our last baby a year ago, a week after Summers 1st birthday, tbh not felt ready for it again til now so we shall see what happens... Buddha keep the faith, hope you come back from hols with more than a stick of rock! Wink

LBM I've also perfected the underarm carry! Hoping we are turning a corner as the tantrums when out are now over much quicker! Bless BB and her renditions of 'pricetag'! Smile

Neeko operation birthday plan's list is practically all ticked off with 2wks and 3 days still to go! We had planned on a trampoline but IL's did the honours there so we got her this DOLLSHOUSE which was half price a few weeks ago, bar-gain! Grin Am going to attempt a fairy castle birthday cake too Confused

Well, yesterday we went for the guided tour of the pre school, was nervous she would have tantrums, she had a couple of moments, but was over it in seconds and was good as gold, and that was only cos she didnt want to come in from the amazingly equipped playground, or leave the nursery area! She absolutely loved it, her cousin is in the nursery and was there to greet her with a hug, and they both skipped off and DH and I wandered around and even out of the rooms and she was oblivious, was very proud as the teacher observed how confident she is!

Like most of you, she wouldn't start til the term after her 3rd birthday, which is September 2013 next year, but the application is this Sept, so very glad we got the ball rolling, its a fantastic school, and thought Id be emotional about my ikkle bubba, but just felt so proud and thrilled how much she loved it Grin

Anyway, better dash, had a great few days with DH being off and a friends engagement on sat where Summer was the only kid and revelled in the attention as she danced round under the disco lights! The couple are getting married nxt year in Ibiza so potential hols afoot! Grin Downer yesterday though to hear the news my poor nephew was involved in a hit and run on his bicycle and broke his hand, 2 wks before his final exam in his degree, on the violin! Sad 4 yrs of uni, and looked like he was getting a first too, obviously he can resit, but just sucks.. They caught the driver though so thats one thing..

Hi barbie! Good to hear from you. sorry things have been tough with young man hope they are improving now. Good luck with all the moving!

barbie1 · 08/05/2012 11:36

Knock knock Blush can I re enter the green house?

I haven't caught up yet and am finding it hard to find time to post, but I will be back and update once we move on Thursday.

We have been struggling with Henry so I we put home to the folks for a week, hence no contact. I think we have turned a corner...but don't want to jinx things just yet.

Love to you all x

MummysLittleSunbeams · 07/05/2012 22:17

Lol cupcake & I make this face no you can't see it because it's as white as the screen on your phone! Grin

cupcakefairy · 07/05/2012 22:14

Haha, mls as if height even comes into it at all, my mum is clearly deluded.. and I think making light of it is really all you can do.. when I actually think about it properly I make this face Shock then this one Envy (sick!) But I like stories like yours vjay! I know you were massively overdue with cjay too so there is hope that I might have spontaneous labour with this one.. have been bouncing & leaning on my gym ball all evening..come on baby!

MummysLittleSunbeams · 07/05/2012 20:59

Ok so I won't mention then that my first labour was 12 hours & my second one was 30 hours (& back to back) and I'm 5ft 10!!! Grin

I don't even know why I'm making light of it as I've got to bloody-well do it all again any day now!

VJayazzle · 07/05/2012 19:07

louey I found this on a sn thread. I've only skim read it but it may be helpful.

VJayazzle · 07/05/2012 17:31

cupcake Cjays birth was horrendous, induction followed by 4 days of pain and waiting ending in forceps, then ajay was 'pop' and there he was Grin, well not quite but you get the picture. Cjay was heavier so had pave the way for ajay.

cupcakefairy · 07/05/2012 16:05

Don't encourage her neeko Wink

vjay my mum always told me having babies would be like shelling peas for me as I'm so tall Hmm and she had 4 with no complications at all (she is a tiny 5ft) ..she felt quite guilty after I had intervention-central birth with ds!! Grin hopefully she's right for second time.round..

Neeko · 07/05/2012 11:18

What the heck is yea?? TEA

Neeko · 07/05/2012 11:18

Morning.

Vjay I snorted into my yea at shelling peas! Grin A clean house always helps with the mood so well done. Enjoy the freezing fresh air.

Cupcake and bounce, bounce bounce!

Blue You are in the callendar for the 19th and I refuse to cancel this time I can imagine what your house will be like onight after a boys' day.

MLS I challenge you to go before Cupcake Wink

LBM Hope Babybell is behaving today. The underarm carry has been used here too.

Barbie Hope country-change mark two goes smoothly. You're missed on here.

4ever What's your princess anting to mark the beginning of her third year of life?

Shock at the early ante-pre starts. It's the term after their third birthday here so H will be Aug 2013 and she'll be almost 3.5! And I'll be back to work full time then

VJayazzle · 07/05/2012 11:02

Thanks blue for the hug, I am quite calm at the mo, I try to make life as simple as poss any way but sometimes things are out of my control. Today I have done the housework while the boys lay in my bed watching telly, then after lunch we're off to the beach, the boys can play and I can chill,

mls things could be starting and I reckon this being your third it will be like shelling peas Grin

bluesatinsash · 07/05/2012 10:37

Morning! I'm at work on this public holiday (boo!) but my colleague's made scones and we have the radio on (yay!). I'm taking next Monday off instead as my Mum's on holiday. So its Daddydaycare chez Blue today Smile

MLS - twinges, braxton hicks, my oh my! I love the run up to giving birth, the anticipation, the sniffing of the newly laundered tiny babygrows, the narrowing down of the name choice, the treasuring the final weeks with your existing DS... the calm before the storm Grin

I used St Johns Wort many years ago and found it helped. You never know if its just a placebo affect or if it gives your some calm in order to sort things out in your head (I took it after splitting up with on-/off/on again long term boyfriend and moving into my first flat which made me feel very isolated..). took it for a couple of months and my mood definately lifted. Anything that can help can only be a good thing Smile.

Vjay - sending sisterly hugs through the ether, two DC are a handful without the added challenge of no family nearby AND studying too. Hope some calm times wash over you x

Neeko - can't do the 12th June as have an eye appointment for I. Can do 19th or 26th though Smile. how harrowing was Grey's last week with the abducted girl Sad. My worst, worst nightmare....

Right its 10.30am - cuppa and scone time

MummysLittleSunbeams · 07/05/2012 10:15

Yes still the odd twinge & some braxtons too!

VJayazzle · 07/05/2012 06:42

Ooooh mls how are the twinges this morning?

cupcakefairy · 06/05/2012 23:25

Twinges you say mls?? Don't you dare have that baby before me Mrs!! ;)

MummysLittleSunbeams · 06/05/2012 22:39

barbie when you are back in the land of technology, someone on the name threads is asking for advice on the name Devon. Smile

MummysLittleSunbeams · 06/05/2012 22:34

Ah yes lbm you are right, it's next week she moves, she's in the west country now & I think she's back to London tomorrow.

louey you are such a strong lady, I'm sure you will find just the right words for your chat with your dt's. Are you still feeling broody??? Actually I have a question for both you & lbm, how do you both tackle bedtime with 3 dcs to bathe & manhandle into bed??

4ever where are you at with your cycle now & how's the ttc going?

moon same question to you too, aren't you about to go onto the 2ww?

blue it must be because you are such a chilled mummy that you have chilled dc's. I on the other hand regularly turn into a screaming banshee-type mummy, much to my shame! Dd2 is much better now thanks. She had her scan on fri & it might be her glands that are swollen this time, rather than the cyst. I'm having a hell of a job getting her to take her antibiotics though. I have to pin her down & hold her arms still whilst simultaneously squirting a syringe-full of the stuff down her throat with her kicking & screaming. Confused

Well the belly-cast is done. Just as well as I've been having twinges all day (I'm 37+2) but I'm sure they won't amount to anything just yet. Off to drink a vat of gaviscon now & then bed, night night all.

littlebellsmum · 06/05/2012 20:50

Barbie isn't in france yet - but she will be next weekend. She was uber efficient at house hunting the other week and moves out next week, I think - unless I haven't been keeping up on fb!! AT least, I hpe she hasn't gne yet, as I found a bilingual matching game for dolly and was only hoping to pay UK postage Grin

Hello to all - will try and catch up soon. Currently BB is being a very determined little monkey and refuses to go in the buggy - "too big" she told me !! and is too heavy to carry for long. Tantrum city here too - I often carry her under my arm when she is having a paddy and we need to go somewhere - the kicks don't get me then!! Very few plans for the birthday but am teachjing her " Happy Birthday!" Oh and she is learning loads of songs - postman pat theme and Jesse J's Price tag are two fav's. Very funny and I do need to video it.

VJayazzle · 06/05/2012 16:02

Hi mls yes the st johns wort is working, it's a mild pick me up for low mood and has really helped.
Is barbie in France house hunting or is that her moved there now? I can't keep up with the woman!!! Grin. Thanks for letting us know mls
Thanks for the hug neeks

MummysLittleSunbeams · 06/05/2012 07:56

Btw for all those non-fb peeps who are asking about barbie she's in France now.
