Hi there,
finished reading Lelie Reagan's book, thought it was really wonderful and so helpful right now. Just the right tone.
Went to hairdresser today and had cut and colour, feel more like myself now and back to level and even emotional state. Tiredness and cramps all gone, no bleeding either. Just feel like normal me. Yes, its been a sad week, but feel something is at least being done, and I can cope with it all now. Strangely enough, hubby and I went for a walk in park after I came back from hairdresser and we bumped into the obstetrician who did my ERPC this week! He was out walking too, with his kids. How strange. I did not recognise him in his casual gear but hubby did! He was sweet, asked me how I was and said see you soon.

I highly recommend going out walking in the wind to clear away cobwebs of the mind!

Have a good rest of the weekend, everyone, and stay positive. I don't feel great but I feel like me and that has to be a good step. Taking things one step at a time is my advice of the day, it is working for me.

Smole.......

WELCOME

You come to the best place........
We are all in a similar position. If you have any questions about tests etc just ask. I've had them and am now testing different possible fertility remedies.

Which hospital are you under?

are you saying we are insane muppet???

well right in my case for sure !

muppet3 · 24/02/2006 17:03

Hiya to all the new ladies - I'm sorry that you're here at all, iykwim, but I'm glad that you are too. There are other nice people around on mumsnet, but imho this thread has the nicest bunch of all

Nikki - you're doing brilliantly. Families can be so awkward at the best of times, just take care of yourself and it will all work out with them. Mine still don't have a clue about the m/c, and keep putting their collective feet in it. It's so hard - there's no easy right answer is there?

Piffle - thinking of you. Horrid uncertainty. Not long now til 2 March anyway.

And everyone else, hi and thanks. Feeling a bit glum, but more sane. Which should probably disqualify me from posting on here with you lot

Glad today has helped with you Nicola and how lovely of your secretary to leave you a plant.

Smole · 24/02/2006 15:17

I've only had the one ERPC so I feel for you. The pot plant sounds like a nice touch

Nicola63 · 24/02/2006 14:54

Hi Smole, and everyone. I ordered Prof Regan's book as a result of a recommendation on here, ordered it on Tuesday afternoon after my m/c and it arrived yesterday, I have already read half of it and would definitely recommend it.

I am back at work today after ERPC on Tues, was glad I took a couple of days off but enjoyed being back at work today (writing from work now) and being more normal. Having cramps and feeling tired now, so will go home early. My secretary (the only one at work who knows what happened, she had to know as she had to rearrange and cancel so many things for me) left a pretty pot plant on my desk with her condolences.

Smole, I also have the "ball rolling" for tests and awaiting results at moment. Best wishes to you. Like me, I am sure that you hope something is found so that we can know what has been going wrong.

hello Smole!

me too! I've been looking at these on and off ever since I had my miscarriage in July. Here's hoping that joining in brings a new phase of luck.

Smole · 24/02/2006 13:26

Thanks mygirl and Nikki. I have to confess I've lurked for ages but after this last m/c I felt so down and you all seem so friendly, I just couldn't resist joining in.

Hi Smole and welcome. So sorry to meet you under these circumstances and sorry about you losses. Glad you mention that book, as another MNer recommended this and I have ordered it so waiting for this to arrive so I can try and get my head around things.

Mygirl - shame about pc shutdown.. fingers crossed for your testing.

Piffle this differing tests are really confusing roll on Thursday hope you as ok as can be today.

CH thanks for the link I have printed it off to show dh, not that he stresses me out but just to inform him.

how is everyone today...

I am still pretty much in same position, still the waiting game, had pain with it last night but its gone today. Had a mini flip out at my sister who pointed out I had forgot her wedding anni card (she didn't know about pg) so I replied hastiliy with a reply of I have had more important things to deal with...etc. so now she knows.. its not her fault I know cos I didn't tell her, but not much comment after that think she not happy I not told her. aaarrrggghhh families hey!

Right thats me vented for the time being - sorry but thanks x

Smole · 24/02/2006 12:01

Hi
Can I join you. I had my 3rd miscarriage 3 weeks ago and have started the ball rolling for tests. I was thinking about giving up ttc but then I read Lesley Regans book and it was so positive. So 4th time lucky?

my girl - one day before mine! I didn't think it was going to bother me, but it certainly came back with a vengance. Mind you, it didn't help that someone came into work to show off thier new baby that very day...I ended up going for a very long cold walk.

Morning all,

Well in view of Coathanger's article, I am staying in bed this morning trying not to get stressed (today is the last day of the week I took off work to recover from being 40!). I hope it's true tho' - I've been going to a reflexologist for the last 6 weeks, and I don't know if it's going to help my insides, but it certainly works as relaxation. I come in wanting to murder everyone from work and come out not caring!

Oinker - sorry about the BFN. And Nikki - it's horrid, isn't it. But I'm sure she'll understand - and celebrate with you later.

FirstNikki · 24/02/2006 09:11

Morning ladies

Oinker - sorry about testing today...x get them to sort your progesterone out hun at consultants.

Piffle how are you today?

Nicola, Twocats, ch, hk, mygirl, diddle and all I have missed how are you today?

hmmm well for me feeling well considering bloody emotions are strange hey. A friend has asked if I am up to her engagement celebrations on Saturday...I don't think I could cope with a room full on happy, drunk and elated people right now. But feel sad I can't celebrate with her as she is such a close friend.

{{hugs}}

HellKat · 24/02/2006 08:11

Yep she did, very cute too!
Today's awkward hun, we're going to my mums later on. What about Sat or Sun morning?
