TTC Hysterics thread!

Hi a wierd Idea but I've browsed through threads and seen that some poster feel sometimes that complaining about i.e not being pg after 2 months is insensitive to people having problems.

I can see their point , but we all need a place to let off steam without being made to feel guilty. So......

I made this thread as a perfect place to spout off any worries how silly they may seem.

Please be honest about what you think!

This is the only place I can think of for sharing my own particular brand of TTC madness...

2.5yrs ago I conceived my daughter, on day 14 of my cycle, which was a Saturday... I am certain it was then, as we only DTD twice (once on the Tues & then on the Sat).

This cycle we DTD on day 10 (which was also a Tues) then day 13 & 14, which of course, if it worked, would mean the due date would be 2.5yrs after my DD's birthday.

This is also our 2nd cycle TTC #2.

Surely all this coincidence must mean it MUST have worked & I'll get my BFP in a couple of weeks right??!! Hmm

Or should I just fetch my straight-jacket now?? Confused

Now just to work out exactly when I POAS so I can do the same again... :o

Hi Chunkychick. I know exactly how you feel, I glanced at dh and feel pregnant with ds, now I'm stunned to be on my 7th cycle this time round. Considering myself vair lucky first one was so easy.
I feel opposite though - that getting preggers is the one thing I can't influence and this is pants cos I like to have tight control over everything else. TTC is Mum Nature's dept.
I was totally obssessed for first 4 cycles but am trying to calm myself down now so I don't go mental. How will we cope? No idea - but i do know I am going to be a much better person to be around when it happens
Grin

I feel do stupid for stressing/obsessing about TTC as this is only our 2nd cycle & I think I worked out why we didn't get the 'right' day last month... Yet I'm still expecting to have to start charting etc and what might be wrong.

We concieved my DD after DTD literally twice, in roughly the right timeframe, and she's now 21mths so I feel almost cheated that it hasn't happened already. I mean, what happened to the chav-style fertility??!!

Its do pathetic to feel like that though. I know that getting preggo is one thing in my life that I can actually influence so perhaps I'm driven to obsessing about it cos I can't do anything about other important things?? Could also be cos I'm broody as hell too... Confused

Driving my DH up the wall & can't really talk about it with anyone else in RL.

Think I ovulated very recently and we DTD LOADS lately so getting cautiously optimistic but at the same time, not sure I want to get my hopes up. Then feel that thinking positive is a good thing. Then worry I should be 'relaxing' and not thinking about it.... Feel like I have about 50 personalities.

Seriously worry how I will cope if it doesn't happen soon. I mean, how do some of the women on here do it for months and months??!!

I an SOOOOO pathetic Blush

bettybet so true. You spend so long trying NOT to get pregnant, then when you want to and it doesn't work on the first couple of goes, you end up in hysterics!

Bah.

Snowbeetle · 29/01/2012 13:08

haha bettybat - that made me laugh - so true. :)

bettybat · 29/01/2012 13:01

I honestly think the hysteria comes from being told ALL our lives how easy it is to fall pregnant. As teenagers, the fear of God is put into us. Don't even sit next to a boy for fear of "getting caught". Use condoms and the pill because their sperm is super strong and will cut through anything! Being pregnant is the worst thing that can ever happen to you - DON'T LET IT HAPPEN!!!

Hahahaha!

This is drilled into us as fact, as the bogeyman for teenage girls, as worse than death.

So when, as adults, as fully grown women, we want it to happen...and it doesn't happen immediately, it's extremely hard to undo a lifetime of wiring that says it can happen just be pegging your underwear on the same washing line as a man.

Snowbeetle · 29/01/2012 10:19

OOOoooo yes. I've been feeling awful in RL as I have only been trying for 7 months while my friend was 18..... doesn't compare does it! Still I can't deny I really want to get preggers
On the plus side she has now succeeded!!! Yayyyyy - so that's encouragement to anyone who's been waiting a while. She said she relaxed and forgot about it.... so, maybe being pleased to find somewhere I can let rip is exactly what I shouldn't be doing. hahahaha. oh well. Grin
currently on dreaded 2ww.... feeling convinced its my lucky month.... 2 in the back of the net on right day... come ON l'il swimmers. :)
My situ is complicated by impending job hunt post qualification and all sorts of other things which mean I really need to fall preggers now and not later... still Mum Nature won't be told will she!
