TTC Hysterics thread!

Hi a wierd Idea but I've browsed through threads and seen that some poster feel sometimes that complaining about i.e not being pg after 2 months is insensitive to people having problems.

I can see their point , but we all need a place to let off steam without being made to feel guilty. So......

I made this thread as a perfect place to spout off any worries how silly they may seem.

Please be honest about what you think!

Hi fish :)

Could be good, might do the same with mine Grin

Hope the same happens to me, if not before seem to spend my life poas at the moment. Was that with your dd or ds? Dont really know what to expect with all these appointments. It's all new to me. I cant even seem to work out how I can optimise our chances and predict ovulation days

Fisharefriendsnotfood · 01/02/2012 21:10

Hi everyone

Well, as I said yesterday (I think) I have 2 dc (both concieved without really much effort-just 1 and 2 cycles).... ds 5.11 and ds 3.9. Have been ttc this time for 13 months. Im in a situation where I dont know how many cycles I have had as they are all over the place, cannot track when I ovulate without breaking the bank as I would need to test EVERY day. Make me very Confused Angry Sad but....

Next week the investigations start Hmm. Blood tests and a scan then referal to gynae and possibly fertility clinic Confused

In the mean time we will dtd daily Grin

I am feeling pretty positive today though. I'm thinking this will be the month trying not to get my hopes up but got a good feeling about this month/cycle!

wifey6 · 01/02/2012 14:14

chunkychicken....I have just finished AF so have a while yet & weeks of dtd before I get to the testing stage again.

Fisharefriendsnotmincepies · 01/02/2012 14:10

Hi everyone,

I'm have dd 4 and ds 2 and this is 2nd month ttc. I'm sooooo impatient this time Grin

Have had positive ov test and dtd as much as life allows so fingers crossed.

Sorry about Xmas name can't figure how to change on the phone HmmConfused

Chunkychicken · 01/02/2012 14:09

Not til 10/2 at the very very earliest

You?

wifey6 · 01/02/2012 14:07

chunkychicken.....I am the same- I say things like- 'if it doesn't happen this month then at least I can have that bottle of wine' etc. but I usually don't have the wine & buy myself something pretty instead! Smile
Are you testing soon?

Chunkychicken · 01/02/2012 14:01

I could literally be writing any one of these posts - glad I'm not alone in the madness!!!

In a 'it won't happen this month' slump today. Trying not to get hopes dashed in a week or two.

At least I can keep drinking Wine and proper Brew for the mo if AF turns up...

Having said that, I was drinking proper coffee multiple times a day & sharing a bottle of wine a night right up until about 3days before I got my BFP first time round (& was 5wks by then) and DD is absolutely fine!!!

Goldrill · 01/02/2012 13:58

Thanks chaps Smile. Is not a biggie - just disappointing - as when AF arrives yet again!

Good thread indeed, Archemedes!

Archemedes · 01/02/2012 13:48

Thanks scarlett,

sorry to hear about what happened goldrill good luck for the future.

Can I just say I bastard well love this thread Grin

Excellent hysteria indulgence, top marks for clever Latin word-pun on use of 'hysterics', and shedloads of good luck and 'babydust' all round Grin

(I won't join because I've gone long past the stage of being anything like hysterical but just found this an irresisitibly brilliant idea!)

wifey6 · 01/02/2012 13:26

Goldrill....welcome...firstly, sorry to hear of your miscarriages. Sad I can't imagine how worrying this all is for you. You'll get support here ... .

Goldrill · 01/02/2012 13:20

ooh - hello! Can I join in too please?

Have lovely DD 14mo, conceived on first go with virtually no DTD. Have previously managed to get pregnant whilst on the pill and virtually celibate: I assumed DP just had to look at me funny and it would happen.

Now on cycle 6 of TTC - have had two very early miscarraiges at 5/6 weeks last autumn. Am now getting a bit convinced that, even if I do get the BFP it will be gone the week after.

Trying to stay positive: DD has brought home every illness under the sun from nursery, and I had Hand Foot and Mouth twice - both around the times I miscarried. So I guess I know at least I can get pregnant and maybe it was just the illnesses and stress that caused them to go fruit-shaped. Am still BF a couple of times a day too and suspect that may not be helping. Ho hum.

One week to go this time!

Archemedes · 01/02/2012 13:17

Yeah I mean theres my head saying well you had a child together so yoo will eventually get pregnant again,

but makes no difference emotionally i'm a gibbering wreck inside. lol well I was last month. being calmer....only on the outside.

follows choccy with nice cuppa (psychiatrists assistant brought them in saying we both looked like we could do with a brew)

Snowbeetle · 01/02/2012 13:05

I have 5 days till it is worth testing.... but I can test anytime.

By the way - you're probably sick to death of people telling you stuff like this but my friend was told she would never have kids due to health issues (very severe rampant endometriosis) and she had two dd.

So while you're breathing and he can get it up there is still hope. Grin

wifey6 · 01/02/2012 13:00

Have you got many days before you test snowbeetle?

Snowbeetle · 01/02/2012 12:41

Hello morecoffee and wifey6 (you're not one of Marquess of Bath's hareem are you Wink

Nice to be somewhere where first-time ttc and those already with children can share the same struggle - having one has not-a-lot to do with another going to plan does it.

Archemedes I have a 19mo so not so far behind you, I'd like a smaller age gap if possible.

.................................................................

So last 2 days I have been thinking positive and convinced myself this was the month then today I decided I was delusional and it would probably not be and I may as well resign myself to another month of misery. I am on an emotional seesaw and wish I could turn my brain off sometimes. Budge over Wifey room for one more .

wifey6 · 01/02/2012 07:33

Hi ladies....can I join? ....I have a wonderful DS & we are on our 2nd cycle ttc. I have health issues after having DS which has made ttc a lot more difficult-if not impossible at times. I have been obsessing over it for months & really convinced myself that we had been successful...but AF put a stop to that. ....it's nice to find a place where I can come & talk honestly about all this.

morecoffeepleaseholdthecake · 01/02/2012 00:13

Hi. I am currently ttc. Kind of feel out of place on the other threads as I already have 2 dc, both were concieved within 2 months! This time we have been going at it for 13 long months and still nothing. I am hoping that this will be the month! Wink
