Hello all waves madly

Well my body decided to be play silly buggers the past couple of months. On my first cycle TTC, no less! AF arrived today, on CD46. HARRUMPH. Har har good joke, ladybits! Angry

But I am very delighted to see her in fact because I means my two months of confusion is over and I can now get cracking on this shiny new cycle!

Who's with me???? This is a glorious Superlux Superbus (the kind you'd see US presidential candidates rolling about in), with all de mod cons (dedicated champers fridge and shiny chrome margarita blender).

Zara1984 - TTC#1, Cycle 2, AF due 24 Feb

Oh chunky I'm sorry to hear you are stepping off the bus for a while. Everything will fall into place in the future I'm sure. TTC is a constant state of limbo though, it can be reassuring just to make a decision one way or the other.

TuesdayNightClub · 18/02/2012 13:00

Oh my pip that sounds very hopeful! Any pics of the faint line for the jury?

You make me want to poas now! I'll be 6 dpo tomorrow. Darn u temptation!

Zara1984 · 18/02/2012 12:51

Best of luck chunky :) Lovely lovely to read your post :) :) Rotten it hasn't worked out for you, but as you say, hopefully we'll cross paths on future threads!

Thanks all - can't really take it all in yet. I don't know what to think to be honest! I'v got fingers and toes crossed everything goes well and it's a sticky bean, because DH and I are going back to NZ and Australia for a holiday in late March and it'd be so lovely to tell all our family and friends in person (rather than Skype). I plan on getting a private early scan at 8 weeks before I go... just to be sure something's in there!!

Argggh stickle I 100% feel your pain. You're experiencing what I did last cycle! I was 14 days late and about 30 quid poorer from all the tests (all resoundingly BFN) I did!! You've got the right attitude, keep busy and have a few Wine !

Pipbin that stick result sounds very promising!!! Thank you for the boozy reassurance too....

Feel shattered this afternoon, but that's due to me POAS at 3.30am and then not getting back to sleep more than pregnancy....!

Big hugs, chunky x

Chunkychicken · 18/02/2012 12:41

Hi all. This is just to wish you all a fond farewell & send my warmest congratulations to all those with BFPs. The very best of luck with your pregnancies.

After posting on Monday, it was really clear that it wasn't implantation bleeding & having POAS today & got a very unsurprising BFN, that's me off this bus.

I won't be getting on another - I need to keep my head on other things & relaxed about everything, as having a toddler, working as a teacher, selling our house, DH interviewing for various jobs as well as TTC is very very stressful & I can't afford to get too obsessed about the last one.

I'm really disappointed about how things have worked out, as the dates were perfect for so many reasons & I'm desperate for a newborn/sibling for my DD (although accept it can't be helped - its one of those things). Now I have to get my head around maybe not getting another BFP for likely at least another 2 months & what might happen when it does... So, without trying to sound rude, being on MN seeing everyone with their wonderful news might lead to 'that should be me' thoughts :( Envy or even Angry and nobody needs that!!!

Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone to have sticky beans soon, and pregnancies as easy as I had with my wonderful DD, and maybe see you on a 'baby won't sleep', 'colic' or 'TTC#3' thread in the future!!!

I'll drink your health tonight with a lovely big glass of Wine :o

Thanks
Pipbin · 18/02/2012 11:27

Oh Tuesday I find that the FF ap and the website tend to disagree about when AF is due. I find the website to be the more accurate as it changes it's prediction depending on when you OV. The app doesn't.

Pipbin · 18/02/2012 11:24

And another! Congrats Zara. These things do come in threes don't they.

I did a really silly thing and POAS even though I'm only 6dpo. And it was just a cheap OPK. However, it came up with a faintest of faint lines.
I refuse to get excited though as its not even vaguely reliable.

I will not test again until next Sunday!

With regards to the drinking Zara I had a friend who didn't realise she was pg until she was 10 weeks. She was drinking until her BFP and the baby was fine.
Also, I have worked with children whose mothers were known heavy drinkers and substance abusers and they are fine too. Don't beat yourself up over it. Now you know you can stop. It'll be fine.

Sticklebricksuk · 18/02/2012 11:01

Congratulations to all the BFPs!! Primal nothing for me either. I caved and tested again this morning (eBay cheapie so don't feel too bad) still BFN. But 9 bloody days late, light cramping, back ache, etc. Come on?!!! Had 2 glasses of wine last night - you can't stop living your life for something that hasn't happened to the best of your knowledge. If I were you I'd have a couple of drinks Primal just don't go mental. Thankfully busy day planned today of DIY, trips to the tip and re-flooring bathroom. That should keep my mind busy and best of all am not sat near a bloody computer all day to google things!!

TuesdayNightClub · 18/02/2012 10:43

Oh my goodness, that's fab! Three BFPs last night! Congratulations running, magneto and Zara! Fingers crossed for happy healthy sticky beans for all.

I'm not testing until nearer 28th now (revised when I think AF is due in light of what my ff app tells me!) but it's all a bit of a guessing game. I
Am feeling hopeful this month but then again I do every month!

backwardpossom · 18/02/2012 10:42

Congrats to all the BFPs!! Zara I run too, and am planning on continuing when PG (if I get there of course!) and just taking it a bit easier. Congrats, wishing you a healthy and happy pregnancy x

I reckon I'm ovulating at the moment, given the amount of ewcm (sorry for TMI!) but I've been so ill the last few days that I reckon we've maybe missed the boat. :( We dtd 3 days ago (when the ewcm started) and the following day/night/day I couldn't keep anything down. Feeling better today (if a little tired from all the up-chucking) so hopefully will be up to SWI tonight! Fingers crossed...

Liege07 · 18/02/2012 08:26

Yay and many congratulations for the BFPs....!

I still haven't tested but still no sign of AF, sore boobs and massively tired... I have a feeling I'll cave today but floating that's a good point you make.. the longer you wait to test the more reliable the result (I suppose) and the shorter the scary "bean maybe not sticking" part is.. anyway all that being said, I know myself and with all the will in the world I'll probably give in and test.. I'll let you know

Congratulations again to all the rest what a great way to start the weekend! :)

Magneto · 18/02/2012 08:15

Congratulations to you too Zara. I know exactly what you mean about the shaking and crying Grin

PrimalChic · 18/02/2012 07:38

Congratulations Running and Magneto! 2 BFPs in succession!

Still no sign here Stickle. Really felt like AF was coming this morning, I ache all over, especially my back and legs and I'm ratty at the DH. Pretty sure he deserved it this time... :)

My friend keeps sending me pictures of her growing bump as well. Hmpf. Wondering if I should bother testing today, I'm going to an all day party and if I don't drink it will be noticed.

Zara1984 · 18/02/2012 06:12

Congrats RunningKatie and Magento!

RunningKatie am guessing you're a runner? I am too but have been slack over winter. Are you going to keep running while pg? I want to but wondering if I've been so lazy since December how much I should pick it up again. Maybe I will limit myself to easy 5k jog 2-3 times week? A very good runner friend of mine gave up at 20 weeks because of the bouncing/need to pee.

Ok because I naughtily scanned the interwebs for symptom spotting during 2ww I'll give mine, for anyone who can't resist the Google temptation. Mainly because I really didn't think I was preggers and they weren't that strong/obvious like I read elsewhere online. Defo didn't "just know" like some threads I've read and like most of my friends with kids have felt (which is why I was convinced it'd be BFN this morning):

  • sore boobs for 1 week. Steadily sore and slowly inflating IYKWIM, and quite sore/achy round the sides. They can often be sore in the 3-5 days before AF, especially because I'm 34DD, but with AF it's more like they get sorer and harder quickly (like they're going to pop) and then they suddenly deflate the day my period comes, or the day before. I noticed the difference but didn't seriously put it down to being pg - as am only off the pill 4 months I wasn't certain.
  • REALLY REALLY achy and sore body and legs. I cycle to work and run not enough right now because it's dark and already have tight hamstrings sometimes (not enough stretching, because I flop on the couch when I get in Grin ), but this week it was really bad. I was waking up in the night with achy leg pains. Felt like I'd overdone it at the gym. DH noticed how sore I was and commented on it a few times.
  • light cramps for past week. This is actually what made me think AF was coming, and I'm worrying about it already. I read on the iPhone pregnancy app that I've bought already that it's normal because uterus is stretching?? I hope so. Am going to be terrified the next 12 weeks 8 months About 5 years ago when I had an IUD put in (cos was having probs with pill, breakthrough bleeding), the doc said I had quite a small uterus so I'm wondering if mine just needs to stretch lots???

Ok add first pregnancy guilt. On Monday I went out and had about 4 glasses of wine after a theatre show. It's ok, right??? No deformed baby?? I barely drink otherwise. Except for hot Polish neighbour's mum's homemade vodka the weekend before that Blush Blush

OMG. Shaking and sobbing like mad a bit here. BFP for me too!!!! First positive HPT ever in my life! Grin

AF due yesterday. Really thought last night it was going to start in the morning. Saturday AM was designated testing day! Woke up at 3.30, needed to pee. Did internet cheapie first, no line initially, thought it was a BFN but after 1 min a faint line started to appear!! Rubbing my eyes, couldn't believe it! Fumbled with shaking hands to open a CB digital - it said Pregnant 2-3 weeks!!!

Woke up DH who is happy but confused at my shaking and crying! "Well we did have unprotected sex, you know...." LOL

Actually in shock. Please please please sticky bean.

DH has gone back to sleep (how??). Im lying in bed with eyes wide open now. Grin

bettergetamoveon · 17/02/2012 23:28

Congratulations Runningkatie and Magento!!! Hope these BFPs come in from lots of you. i have a feeling I'm out this month but won't catch another bus until AF actually does arrive.

Magneto · 17/02/2012 23:07

Congrats RunningKatie Smile

Magneto · 17/02/2012 23:06

Ok so I couldn't wait until tomorrow morning - I got my BFP Grin clear blue digital test says 1-2 weeks, which seems ridiculously early to know for someone as impatient as I am!!!! Dh is all uncontrollably smiley now too Grin

ddas · 17/02/2012 22:47

Congrats!!! You'll have to share your secrets!!!

cherrypiew3 · 17/02/2012 22:39

Congratulations Runningkatie

floatinglotus · 17/02/2012 20:56

Pipbin · 17/02/2012 20:48

Hurrah for you RunningKate Congratulations!!
What made you not expect it?

RunningKatie · 17/02/2012 20:38

Well, 1 day overdue, bought a test this morning (which DD then put in the washing machine) - tested tonight and it's a BFP. OMG, we weren't expecting that! :)
