OOOOOO MMMMMMMMMM GGGGGGGGG Pop Grin Grin Grin

I am so bloody made up for you! This is the best news to wake up to ever. Fact. October is the best month, wohooooooooooooooo Grin

They make two candles Pop, one is actually called baby powder, but he bought me comfy blanket (or something like that)

Scarlett the money thing is definitely a man thing, but we will all muddle through, oh yes we will. And your tube will be beautiful, and all tubey. You mark my words.

Whim swoon at the firefighters. Oh, I love firefighters. Can I come?

Cake, now that Pop has set the ball rolling, that BFN will be turning into a BFP in no time at all.

How are you feeling today Bean? That is rubbish about the results, but good that you have had things made clear to you. I think it's unfair that you are still having to burden the 'blame' so to speak. I too am fed up of hearing 'relax and it will happen' But it will in the end Smile

Imps your DP talks to your tubes. That is too cute. Has he given them names? Grin

cakes82 · 31/01/2012 10:12

Excellent news Pop

My maths isn't working this morn but I think I'm 17/18 dpo. I've had a couple days nearly spotting at about 10dpo but that is it and I did the test a few days after the spotting finished. My longest ever cycle was 40 days but I had a few days spotting in the days leading up to it which is different to this. So what is going on now I don't know.
I told my dh and he just got grumpy that our weekend away won't be quite what he wanted. Bless him,,,

PopcornMouse · 31/01/2012 10:03

Hi cupcakes ! Hope everything's ok with you, sorry you're finding it all a bit mentul. It's bloody stressful, this ttc lark :(

Hi musical ! Thanks! :)

Who's due to POAS next?

Sorry to hear it's CD1 (CD2 now?) for you far ? but your consultant appoint was really positive, so this is bound to be your month :) Will you have any more monitoring this cycle?
We've been ttc since last February, so 12 months exactly. I was ill in the Summer though and I don't think I ov'd for at least one cycle, plus I have longish cycles, so this is only actually our 9th cycle ttc iirc.

Whims your colleague is so funny! :o I love working from home but do get dressed Blush
Is that the research on the riots you were telling us about a while back? I hope it goes well, good luck.

Aww maybe your DH sounds like a star! I can't believe they make baby-scented candles Shock Wink

Imps that is really funny, and very sweet of your DH! though I think I'd get a bit freaked out if DH spoke to my tubes! and I am very impressed with your gymnastic display :o

scarlett men do get worried about money, don't they? Please try not to worry about your tube ? I'm sure it will be fine It's totally natural to stress about such things, but I'm glad that your scan is imminent so your mind can be put at rest sooner rather than later :)

Oh bean I'm sorry DHs results weren't better ? but I'd be very surprised if he didn't see an improvement with cutting out alcohol. Does he take man-vits? Sorry you're feeling so put upon by the GP :(

DH has gone for a walk. Technically he did need to go out, but he's been putting it off for a fortnight so I think it's more for clarity of thought than anything :o

farfallarocks · 31/01/2012 09:43

whim I like the firefighters, we live behind a fire station and I like to admire the boys in training Wink

Wheeeeeeeeeee pop super news. Well done.

Maybe your husband sounds super duper.

Bean I'm glad you had a better appt, but I'm sorry you feel they're colluding against you. The results don't sound that bad (although I've no idea what they're meant to be), and as you say, you've managed once already. I'm not really a hugger, but i'll give you a pat on the hand in a sympathetic sort of way.

Off for a meeting now with a bunch of fire fighters, for people who find that sort of thing exciting. I'm presenting my research to them for the first time, which is just scary.

Morning everyone else.

PopcornMouse · 31/01/2012 09:14

Sorry for disappearing - had to wake up Mr Pops and tell him the news :o
There was lots of "omg. OMG. O.m.g.!" and "well, this changes everything" (not entirely sure quite what he meant) and, "October's a great month. What star sign will it be? Will it be a good one?" Hmm :o
Luckily, being from a big family, he knows it's very early days and anything could happen - but we're both brooking for a sticky one :)

The CBFM made a big difference imho - I ovulated three days earlier than I ever have before, and I wouldn't have been prepared if not for the CBFM.
We didn't do anything differently - I was a lot less stressed this month though which probably makes no difference whatsoever as I honestly thought we weren't in with a chance........ but we didn't dtd in the 3 days before ov, just on ov day - which might have made a difference is low motility/count is an issue??

I had very few symptoms, but that in itself was unusual - usually I'm nauseaus with crampy norks in my luteal phase, but I've not had much of anything this month. I've had masses more energy the past few days, but that could be a coinkydink. And I had some low-down cramping on Saturday (12dpo) which felt like AF was on its way; I was in a shop and actually had to put my basket down for a few minutes. But that was it - no nausea, pain, fatigue etc.

Ok, I'm going to go and read back now :o

farfallarocks · 31/01/2012 08:40

Of yes pop give us the low down, and can you remind me how long you have been trying for?

Do you think the CBFM helped at all?

hi musical hope you are well! Thanks for asking. All good here, ish, DH and I are having a testing time on the SWI front which is immensely frustrating so I am having to take a more relaxed approach even though it kills me to do so. Just about keeping my frustration under wraps and hoping for some weekend ovulation action!!!

Biscuitsandtea · 31/01/2012 08:35

Yay yay yay popster!

Awesome awesome news - you clever thing you Grin

Now you will of course, for the collective research of the Smacketeers, have to tell us what you did differently, and what your symptoms were?

Totally made up for you. Let's hope this starts another cascade of bfps Smile

CupcakesAndCocktails · 31/01/2012 08:22

YIPPPPEEEE!!!!

Well done Pop I just had to de-lurk for that amazing news. I'm proper chuffed for you.

Sorry I've not been around smacketeers, I've been trying to hide from the ttc world as I've been mentalling a bit too much. Will try to catch up with you all later.

Imps7 · 31/01/2012 08:12

OOOOOOOOOOOO MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!

OMG!!!!! Yay for pop, cracks open the champagne!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

farfallarocks · 31/01/2012 08:02

Oooooh pop keeping all crossed for you!!

maybe your DH really is swoonsome, how sweet! And wonderful that he is on board. imps it sounds like your DH is now fully on board as well which is great news. Where are you on your cycle?

scarlett you poor thing worrying like that, I think we have all been guilty of 'borrowing trouble' during this TTC malarkey and worrying about something that never happens. I know its impossible not to really but just reflecting on my own experience I worried about loads of things that then seemed to sort themselves out. Brooking extra hard for a wonderfully functioning ovary for you!

cakes how strange, how many DPO are you?

bean have a big swooshy hug from me too, I am sorry to hear about DH's results but its great that he is on board and lifestyle really does make the difference with sperm apparently. Is he one any vitamins? There was another thread I had read somewhere saw real improvements after taking supplements over 3 months. I really hate the 'just relax and have sex when you feel like it' bollocks. I mean that would work if you felt like 3 times a week but what if you don;t? Really stupid advice all round.

Imps7 · 31/01/2012 06:46

Oi, Popcorn - news please!

ScarlettInSpace · 30/01/2012 22:13

maybe scented candles sounds good, all I got tonight was a stressed negative OH who managed to convince himself the consultant appointment means we'll have a baby by Christmas and we haven't saved any money.

bean bag humbug to men [big fat raspberry to male population emoticon] just remember tomorrow is another day love Wink

Hmm as for me yep Thursday is quick and I've had a mini meltdown this evening [I'm blaming afore mentioned OH's BFN attitude]. I'm worried they will do s scan on Thursday and tell me my one remaining tube is useless. Have absolutely pulled myself out of that one with the help of a cuddle however so to cheer myself I'm going to watch some fit half naked men fighting and shagging [new series of Spartacus Grin ]

cakes82 · 30/01/2012 21:58

Hi Stasi I POAS yesterday and BFN, still no AF. So who knows. Its waiting for our weekend away so it can get in the way!

Been at work so haven't properly caught up.

Hi Everyone :)

Imps7 · 30/01/2012 21:25

So sorry you're feeling like the menfolk of this world are conspiring against you Bean. It's a real skill that they have - I would be surprised if anyone on this thread hadn't wanted to throttle their OH/male GP for their "relax and it will happen when it happens" approach. Women should not be made to feel that they are worrying themselves infertile - it just doesn't happen like that. You now have a reason why it hasn't taken so long and sperm quality can be improved with life-style changes - and you are really fortunate to have an OH who is willing to make those changes. Just crack on, ignore your age, and keep on doing what you're doing. Sooner or later that egg will meet that sperm and BAM! that BFP will be yours.

Popcorn am huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugely excited that AF hasn't turned up today!!! Not wanting to count chickens before they're hatched or anything but I've been practising a new gymnastics routine in anticipation of some exciting news from you in the next couple of days.

Wowzers, Maybe, your DH sounds swoonsome. What a lovely, lovely thing to do! OH started talking to my ovaries and fallopian tubes on holiday - silly stuff like "so what's happening then, little tubes? Is there a baby being made in there?". Nothing he has said or done up until then has made me more convinced that he really wants to be a dad Grin.

Scarlett, Thursday is quick! The sooner you can get some answers and guidance the better - brooking no argument (of course) that it all goes well.

Far, congratulations on the first day of your pregnancy! Have you and DH devised a SWI strategy to help avoid stressiness on his part?

Whim, Cosmo is a brilliant name!! I have loads of girls names that I really really like, but very few boys names. I seem to like biblical ones more than anything - saw the name Obediah in an art book the other day and love it but would never dare for a first name - maybe a middle name though!

Generic, I second the advice given by the other smacketeers. Are they still very strong positives? Come on Generic's hormones we want Generic back here to smack the rat with us again!

OMG is it really 9:25???? I'd best have my evening bath!

Night girls!

GreenOlives · 30/01/2012 20:29

Aww Maybe your DH is most definitely very lovely, what a thoughtful thing to do. He is a keeper that's for sure! Grin

Really sorry that the BFP is lingering Generic, I think it's worth getting checked because I would have thought all the HCG should have gone by now.

Great news about the appointment Scarlett, that's really quick. Don't be worrying, I also have the heating on all day every day so we can take joint responsibility for selfishly wasting energy Grin I'm a little concerned that a onesie may make going to the toilet a bit of a faff? Confused

Sad for CD1 Far but you seem in reasonably good spirits - onwards and upwards lovely - this is the month for you!

Grin Grin at your friend Whims

Am still sending fk off vibes to your AF Pops, hope she's getting the message!

beangrower · 30/01/2012 20:26

Ooh - Pop must be updiffed. Yay. Yay. Yay.

Hello everyone else - you've all been so busy I can't even begin to catch up...

Maybe - I also love the way your DH loves you too. So gorgeous. Generic - sounds unfair/difficult.

We have returned from a much improved GP experience (and god only knows what the other GP was up to). But sadly SA results were bad with only 4% of swimmers on top form and only 20% motility (should be closer to 50%). The consultation still seemed somehow to turn attention to me - I was told to stop stressing. Bloody men. They're so relaxed about everything. The two of them colluded and decided that we'd had a baby and so could again.

My only hope is acupuncture and minimal booze. At least DP is signed up for that. We'll retest to doublecheck but I don't think this was just a one-off duff batch of swimmers; I feel that this is why we've been at it like rabbits for a year with nada result. And my clock ticks on.

Still, DP says I have to remain positive. I may stop 'trying' so hard for a while as acupuncture takes effect and until my HSG is done.

I asked GP for advice re' how much sex to have but he told me to stop thinking about it and scrutinizing cycle. Just have sex when you feel like it So there you goo Brookers; just give up and you'll get a BFP. Confused

Sorry to be a miserable git. Shit happens and we have a kid so I'll shut up.

Will be on better form next time I write. xxxx

NoMaybeAboutIt · 30/01/2012 20:08

Evening lovely smackers.

Frootz you make me chuckle!

Generic so sorry to hear you are still getting BFPs, I agree with Little, may be worth s a call to the EPU.

Sweetie sorry to hear you are feeling so rough. It sucks doesn't it.

Whim your story has cheered me up no end Grin And I love Cosmo. Your DS sounds like one cool kid.

Scarlett it is my dream to work from home one day. I love pjs. I find they make me think better Grin That's great news about the consultant appointment. You will get some answers, I am sure.

Far so sorry it's CD1. But now you know you have such lovely eggs and hormones, this month will be your month.

Pop any sign yet?

Olives that dizziness doesn't sound good at al. DH wants me to go to the docs tomorrow too, so I may have to give in.

Today has been one of those days where I realise just how much I love my DH. He went off to get his haircut earlier, and was gone for ages. He came back with some posh bubbles for my bath, and a Yankee Candle that, in his words 'smells like babies' so that it would cheer me up. He also spent half an hour in Waterstones trying to find a book for him to read on how to get pregnant. I luff him so much

TheLittleFriend · 30/01/2012 19:53

Gutted to hear your still getting BFFP's generic. Apologies if you have already said this, but have you spoken to the EPU/GP about it? I was told to call if I got a bfp 3 weeks after my mc. After going through that the last thing you need is the hormones hanging around stopping you cracking on with the rat smacketing.
