Hi Biscuits It was af, then HSG, then ov, then BFP.
HSG was 9th January

beangrower · 03/02/2012 17:02

Grin Imps is a genius [with triplets] - the shagtic was a bit out of date as we only got GP's proper results on Monday eve which was cd13 (usually ov day actually or 1dpo). We'd been dtd every other day but now have to abstain as parents arriving (mum is celebrating 70, crikes).

Chinese doc/acu lady recommends every 3rd day for lazy sperm. Am planning something similar to Stasi for next few months but don't expect vit-acu-improved spermtastics until April/May which will coincide with HSG. And then I need to give the old feller a bit of time. And then - well - will have to keep philosophical.

So "relax, don't do it" [too much] is the Bean household motto for a few months. And all those fockers who've been telling me to relax may just have a point. Grrrrr.

Ok - normal bazookers I've got then. The ov' phase of our cycle is so much kinder to us isn't it?

PopcornMouse · 03/02/2012 16:45

My jugs have been known to cramp from 1dpo bean, I wouldn't worry.

Shagtic :o :o

Biscuitsandtea · 03/02/2012 16:30

I love the shagtic concept Imps - you're a genius Grin

Imps7 · 03/02/2012 16:25

Good that you can relax Bean - you know what they say: Relax and it will happen Wink

Imps7 · 03/02/2012 16:24

Bean my boobettes do different things every month, but they have hurt from 1 DPO before - starting with the nips and then working outwards! This cycle, the outer bits started hurting yesterday - nips are fine! You ov'd yesterday then?? What shagtic (shagging tactic) did you adopt?

beangrower · 03/02/2012 16:21

Smile - you are too kind. Hopefully DP's crown jewels will be on 'optimal setting' by then. Feel I can relax a bit now.

Imps - actually it's triplets you've got there (have seen triplets locally - what a sight; pram like a liner).

Stasi - excited by your snail-trail evidence. [realises yukiness of previous sentence, what they heck]

beangrower · 03/02/2012 16:13

Don't give me too much hope (sometimes it's the hope that's a killer) - I have my HSG booked for 2 April. Joker's hat trick for early summer?

Also can anyone reassure me that tender breasts from pretty much 1dpo is normal? I'm not looking for BFP signs here; just feel that my jugs get v tender in the luteal phase these days. Don't remember this from the pre-DS days, but could be that I'm hyper-aware these days...

PopcornMouse · 03/02/2012 16:12

Thanks for all the kinds words, ladies. I have come to conclusion that DH is being a muppet :o

Biscuits I've been plodding away at WeightWatchers with limited success for a good while so lunch is usually homemade vegetable and lentil soup or pumpkin and lentil stew - that sort of thing Blush so pretty saintly tbf.

Hi loopy ! I can't believe how time has flown! Mmmm McDonalds :d :)

That sounds like a good plan Stasi I think it's always a good idea to try a new tactic once and while? I do agree with Imps that lots of CM is very positive indeed!

Thanks bean - I'm glad you're feeling a bit better and more positive. That BFP is winging its way towards the Chateau Bean as we speak, I'm sure of it :o

That's totally a sign Imps - it's a bit like seeing 4 magpies, no? :o

Biscuitsandtea · 03/02/2012 16:05

Oh Cakes I've just read your post on the 10+ mths thread - i'd forgotten you were post HSG!!!!

So you had your HSG, then an AF and then a BFP?

Are you the hat trick with Ninja and me?

Biscuitsandtea · 03/02/2012 15:54

OMG - that is an absolute definite SIGN Imps

You're absolutely updiffed with twins. Or maybe it's quads if you saw two sets? Grin

I'm even more excited about your confirmation now than I was before!

Imps7 · 03/02/2012 15:50

I saw two sets of twins in the space of about 2 mins in my village the other day - must be a sign, a bit like seeing 2 magpies...

Stasi · 03/02/2012 15:47

I too would absolutely love twins... Identical preferably, but any kind will do.

Imps7 · 03/02/2012 15:34

Oooh I'd love twins...

Biscuitsandtea · 03/02/2012 15:32

Also, looking at the stats list, and just a thought for those of you imminently about to confirm your BFPs, we're a bit short on the twins / multiples count. Poor old Dream is still our only Twinner. So if you could keep that in mind it might be good to get a few more multiple brooking preggos on the list?

Just a thought Wink

Biscuitsandtea · 03/02/2012 15:31

I did indeed pass my GD test - which I was rather proud of given my chocolate intake :) Hmm. My mother was convinced I'd have it because I 'eat too much chocolate'. I feel like I won a point for Team Chocolate :)

I think technically Tilder is the next on our stats list, but we haven't heard from her in a very long time. Pomme has her induction booked on 27 Feb so she'll be next I should think. Followed not too long after by Too and Purple at the start of March. Then there are several other people who we seem to have lost along the way and then me :)

Imps7 · 03/02/2012 15:26

Hello Biscuits! Always lovely to see you pop in - you always have such reassuring advice! Assume you passed the diabetes test with flying colours?

Who's the next Brooking Baby due? Is it yours? I need to go and have a look at the PSEPP stats thread soon to keep up with you all!

Biscuitsandtea · 03/02/2012 15:21

Just poking my head in to second what Loopy says about pregnancy eating.

Popcorn don't feel bad - enjoy your cake. Pasta salad and a cake is hardly a bad lunch (I feel a bit in awe of what you must normally eat if this is bad!)

I have the opposite problem with DH where he thinks I should be eating as much crap as I can stuff in to compensate for what my poor body has to go through! He was more worried than me when he thought I might have to give up chocolate when I went for a GTT test to rule our Gestational Diabetes. He was absolutely Shock that I might have to give up chocolate, after giving up all my other vices Wink

I agree though on the whole that you shouldn't just 'eat for the sake of it' but I also think that pregnancy 'cravings' are sometimes your body telling you what it needs.

I read a thread just yesterday where a woman was stressing because she'd eaten a whole bag of kettle chips and was worried that she'd have done some harm to the baby. Hmm I got through my first trimester by eating emergency crisps every time I felt nauseous as it was the only thing that stopped it.

Anyway - I am rambling on about crisps now so I will pause only to hug you all and to say that there is plenty of room over on the ante-natal thread so get those BFPs confirmed and get yourselves over :) We can't wait to see you all.

Imps7 · 03/02/2012 15:14

9+5 Loopy??! Has it really been nearly 8 weeks since you got your BFP?? Shock Time flies! You're positively glowing, by the way - hope you haven't been struck down with any morning sickness and its ilk :)

Loopyhasanotherbean · 03/02/2012 15:08

just popped on to catch up on the news, and big congratulations to popcorn and cakes82

and definitely ignore Mr Pop, you eat whatever you fancy whenever you fancy it. I find i need to eat very regularly otherwise i start to feel rough.

And McDonalds is allowed! Yesterday i had 2 cereal bars (am now struggling to eat cereal or toast, so have one bar before i get out of bed which stops me getting any form of MS) and another about 3 hours later at 9-9.30, a bowl of heinz tomato soup and bread for dinner, a bag of spicy transformer snacks, and then for tea, DP picked up a chicken legend and fries from mcdonalds because i really fancied it. We don't usually have stuff from there, but when pregnant, usual rules go out the window. I am overweight anyhow, but i am the same weight as when i fell pregnant with DS, and i'm 9+5 and not put on any weight yet, so i'm not going to feel bad about having something now and then if i fancy it. And neither should you! Carrot cake contains fibre, protein, and carrots, all good stuff, plus some fat which you need to grow your kernel. :)

look forward to seeing some more BFP's soon!!

Stasi · 03/02/2012 14:39

bean this month we abstained for 5 days, then did SWI on day of +OPK. I'm not sure if the egg really did pop the next day, so we did more SWI 2 days later (and would have continued like that) till the temp rise was confirmed. I've also hatched a plan for SFF or alternatives every 3 days or so for DH through this cycle, hoping that regular production might help.

Imps I still prefer not to get too excited. I think if I don't get a BFP this month though then I may get a CBFM because then like pop I'll get pg instantly. Like bean I think it would be useful to know when we don't have to SWI, as it's sometimes a struggle to get DH off his computer. It's almost worse that he knows some of the science behind ttc - he comes up with equally valid reasons why we should wait till tomorrow!

Just had a long lunch in work, so really need to get some stuff done now before the weekend. Will keep reading on my phone though, and maybe a quick post or two...

Hope everyone is having a good day!

beangrower · 03/02/2012 13:52

Oh and meant to say Pop - like Olives my pg appetite was greatest during first trimester then settled down to normal. My weight dropped fairly quickly - was down to size 12 in about 3 months after birth and I'm now a small size 10 (running around after a toddler and SWIing too much!) Lots of good food for you in the next few months - you deserve every calorie

beangrower · 03/02/2012 13:50

ps Olives - yes let's hope we're lucky Scorps this month! Actually any time this year will do.

Beedle - keep yourself warm, esp' hands, feet and the oven, IFYWIM - where your bun is due to turn up any minute now. Grin

beangrower · 03/02/2012 13:22

Imps - those are the best kind of cartwheel - Arabian flip, no (to give the technical term)?!

Many, many congrats Cakes - that's fantastic work Smacketeers! There are bound to be more BFPs queuing up then: we are all egging each other on. GET IT??!!! ho ho.

Stasi - what's your plan re' how much SWI to have? I'm thinking to abstain for a few days before evening of +OPK? [Confesses that she is on eBay looking for a CBFM with the realisation that this might help her decide when not to have sex!]

Scarlett - incredibly positive consultation no? So glad you like the man - makes a huge diff. Laughed at your OH and the snail-trail toe curls. I know IVF is daunting but hopefully it's reassuring too? (Yes 4% is ok I realise, but we need motility to go up from 20% to about 40%... Will be interesting to see if no booze/acu' works. [Bless his cotton socks.])

Feel much calmer about TTC. Guess there's a sense that we are now doing everything we can together, as couple (even if it took me nearly a year to convince DP that he needed to make a few changes)... Plus my cousin's ectopic reminded me of my blessings. I do lose perspex sometimes.

Yes - putyourgreatlumberinghoofinititis Maybe - Grin I have told him off and forgiven him and he is babysitting tonight now. Ha.

Lovely morning for us rambling in the woods, meeting lots of pups and eating chips and snarlers - DS now knackered and happily crashed out. Victory. Back to work in freezing Bean towers for moi then.

Lots of luff to preggos and preggos-to-be.
