I have done an updated list below, please amend if I have missed people off!

AF arrived for me this morning, to be honest I'm pretty devastated as she was a week late and I really thought I was going to get a late BFP. I really hope this month's 38 day cycle is a once-off...

BlueX · 23/01/2012 13:53

Thanks thereis and sorry to hear about BFN but there is no AF yet either...

Well done pipbin. Hopefully you will get the tests quicklyso that you can test soon!

Just out of curiosity what pregnancy tests does everyone use/recommend? I've only been using the cheapy poundstore ones as I knew I would be testing so often (that I didn't want to spend a small fortune on pregnancy tests!). Could that in any way influence the results? Hmm

Thereisamumthatnevergoesout · 23/01/2012 12:57

Well pipbin you have been a good girl.

As for me, I have been a disgracefully bad girl. I gave in and tested a bit ago. Bfn Angry

I think I can safely say af is on way now. At least it takes the uncertainty away. Will stay on here until af comes for the sake of completeness though. Dying to hear about any other bfps!

Fx for everyone!

Pipbin · 23/01/2012 12:48

Still no AF for me, and I don't feel periody iykwim.

I'm a good girl and didn't test this morning.

I've got some First Response on order from Amazon which have just dispatched. If I'm feeling extra strong I will wait until they come rather than use the CBD I've got in the cupboard.
That said, I do have some cheap OPKs.

Thereisamumthatnevergoesout · 23/01/2012 11:47

Bluex Well done for not testing this morning! I guess I should be feeling pleased with myself for resisting poas this morning and sunday morning. My self-congratulations are being hampered by the thoughts that are currently running through my head.

Namely, if I hold off weeing for 4 hours, it apparently replicates the concentration of hcg that you would get in fmu. In which case, if I don't wee before 3pm, I could poas if my resolve failed me.

Hmm

OR, I could just wait till tomorrow and stop being such a miss impatient pants.

I cannot imagine how annoying being 5 days late AND no bfp must be. So confusing. The thing is, if I don't get AF today it will get my little hopes up tomorrow.

Need to keep myself occupied today methinks or I will obsess.

busylady I got cramps the cycles I got BFP with both my pregnancies. Could be a good sign? FX for you! This is the reason I don't except BFP this month, no cramping for me.

BlueX · 23/01/2012 11:12

No AF yet and still no symptoms either, trying very hard not to get hopes up and very pleased with myself for not testing this morning!

Thereis it isn't over until AF arrives so fingers crossed for a BFP tomorrow morning!

I'm actually getting quite frustrated now as I am usually so regular and this month I'm 5 days late with only BFNs whenever I've tested. I'm just would like to know either way!

Sorry kelbells, fingers crossed for next month!

Thereisamumthatnevergoesout · 23/01/2012 09:57

Sorry about af kelsbells. Mine due today but nothing as yet. Keeping a low profile so she doesn't find me!

Fully prepared for af appearing because like delphine, no symptoms to report except usual premenstrual ones.

Off to watch call the midwife on iplayer now.

Hope the Tuesday testing club are all still af-less!

DelphineDonkeygoesDoolally · 23/01/2012 09:38

Morning!

My goodness, you don't go on mumsnet for a few days and everything changes!

Congrats to Peppa and Winnie!

Sorry to runningkate, howiwonder, optimum, chairofthebored and kellbells

And thanks to ahhpushit for keeping up with the stats!

I'm 14 DPO, CD29. No sign of anything. I was utterly exhausted over the weekend but I think it's just because it's been manic.

I'm wishful but not hopeful IYKWIM. I don't want to test because I fear I'll get a BFN and then my hopes will have no reason to be really. To be continued...

busylady99 · 22/01/2012 22:36

Must admit, I am not entirely enjoying the effects of my natural hormones over the lovely medicinal ones delivered by my pill Smile On the pill I would just get one cramp just before I started my period and that was it for the month (I always appreciated how lucky I was though). Since coming off the pill I've been having that uggh, sickly cramp feeling several times a day since around CD8 (CD25 now). I thought it might be tied to ovulation but I'm now 4-5 DPO and it's continued.

Does anyone else experience anything similar?

Pipbin · 22/01/2012 19:38

BusyLady. I recommend using Fertilityfriend.com.
It's helped me keep track of my periods which is something I've never done before.

Still no show from AF. I'm thinking happy thought to keep her away.

ChairOfTheBored · 22/01/2012 19:23

Will try busy - and that's an excellent point. When you think about it, I'm a picture of rational thought!

Good luck to you, and all still waiting. Will think more positive thoughts, and if all else fails, grab a spot on the next shuttle...

busylady99 · 22/01/2012 18:36

For those who have the Asda or superdrug tests, does it say on the box what the minimum level of hCG they detect is? Thanks.

Sorry about your AF Kelbells - good luck on the next shuttle.

Chair deep breath. Don't disembark until you're absolutely sure. Personally I think crying about ordering the wrong material in John Lewis is perfectly reasonable; have you seen how expensive it is! Wink

Kelbells · 22/01/2012 15:53

Boo... I'm out... Had a few days of bleeding last week which I think was an early AF (recovering from mc so cycles are a law unto themselves) and BFN this morning Sad looks like I'll have to stick my thumb out and grab the next shuttle that comes by.... Massive luck to all those still waiting!!! GrinGrinGrin

busylady99 · 22/01/2012 15:23

I think I might have to change my stats. This is my first cycle off the pill so don't know what my real cycle is (was always 28 days like clockwork on the pill). I've been temping and I Ov'd on either CD 20 or 21. I've read that (as long as I don't have a luteal phase defect as apparently it's charmingly called) the luteal phase lasts around 14 - 16 days after OV. If that's the case, AF should be due sometime between 31st Jan - 3rd Feb. Does that seem about right?

Busylady99 TTC#1 AF due 31/1 ish

Cejay8 · 22/01/2012 13:58

If AF doesn't make an appearance then yes I'll be testing as soon as my eBay tests arrive! Hopefully Tuesday but I did one of those early tests today so I'm not very hopeful now.....It's only our 2nd cycle though Smile

ChairOfTheBored · 22/01/2012 13:39

I think I may well be stepping off this bus. AF not due until Tuesday, but her evil minions irrationality and mood swings have made their presence known.

This weekend I have both taken DH's head off for having the audacity to be ironing while I wanted to hoover, and burst into tears in John Lewis over the potential that we'd chose the wrong curtain material...

Chunkychicken · 22/01/2012 13:26

Indeed Thereis!! :)

OMG - Need to turn my phone off & step away from the TTC maths because that way madness lies.... I have just spent about 10mins calculating all the permutations of my cycle (cycle length of 26, 28 & 31 days, ov day of 10, 14, & 16 days etc etc) so that I can make sure we DTD enough for long over to be certain to get the egg. It looks like we either missed it by a day or 2 last month (nasty UTI & antibiotics killed the mood somewhat) or stopped DTD a day or 2 early. No chance of THAT happening this month!!

Anyway, going cold turkey on the conception threads for a day or 2 in the hope I'll get some perspective. I'll be back though...

Good luck with TTC & see you soon for the start of lots of BFPs (FX eh??).

Thereisamumthatnevergoesout · 22/01/2012 13:22

Chunky, it does sound like you have a lot on at the mo!

Thereisamumthatnevergoesout · 22/01/2012 13:20

If I know there are a few of us testing on
Tuesday, it will help my resolve to not test before then.

Ceejay, you testing on Tuesday as well as pipbin, myself and bluex?

Cejay8 · 22/01/2012 12:43

I'm afraid I couldn't wait and tested this morning - kind of wish I hadn't now Sad AF not due till tomorrow though.
Am thinking it's not so bad having another month with DS and we've always got plenty of house jobs to be getting on with.... Think I need chocolate this afternoon then I'll feel better Grin

Pipbin · 22/01/2012 12:07

BlueX I won't test if you don't.
One of us has to be lucky, surely.

I came off the pill in May and this is the first time I have ever monitored my periods. I run at 35 days on average. Today is day 35. No spotting since early Saturday morning, now I have clear sticky CM.

I don't feel periody. Back when I was not on the pill and didn't track I just knew about two days in advance when I was about to come on. Just don't feel like that now.

Fingers crossed for all of us testing again Tuesday.

Chunkychicken · 22/01/2012 11:46

Pipbin fingers crossed for you.

Trying to think positive but when DD got me up at 6am (had a bad dream I think because she was properly crying) I couldn't go back to sleep - stressing about work, house sale & TTC. Knowing that stress has a negative impact doesn't stop me worrying either!! Even when DH & I were actively TTC I can't help doing 'period math'... I guess using an OPK would remove some of the guesswork but I don't want to resort to that yet!!

If I look at all the sources of stress in my life, none of them can be sorted/resolved before I get that elusive BFP - although that will help with the stress of TTC. Love the idea of being able to get some jobs out of the way first though, if only my RL would play ball!!

Oh well, what will be, will be I guess??!!

BlueX · 22/01/2012 11:42

Ok so there's many of us hoping to test on Tuesday...fingers crossed for everyone!

I still have no AF and no signs that it's on the way either...I too am determined that I will not test until Tuesday now.

Thereis - it was probably too early to test so fingers crossed for Tuesday!

mrsmellow · 22/01/2012 11:01

Congrats more bfp's - this does feel like a very lucky thread. prunella two of my close friends got pregnant on the post pill fertility surge...(in the same month!) But will keep you posted. All potential PMT symptoms have gone but no AF - and will not test for at least another week....[grim determination emoticon]

pipbin hold tight and test in 2-3 days... good luck, fingers crossed!
