I've just lost 2kg (about 2lb I think) on the vomiting bug diet... but I wouldn't recommend that!! ;-)

PrimalChic · 11/01/2012 16:42

PS has anyone else lost weight through not drinking on the 2ww? I've been off the booze since NYE and I've lost 4lb and counting! That's rather embarrassing isnt it, drinking 4lb of wine a fortnight! Blush

PrimalChic · 11/01/2012 16:38

I'm so stopping at superdrug on my way home (haven't bought lunch all week so the tests are free again!)

Symptoms have all gone except for uncomfortable lenses Hmm and nipples so I think it's just time to wait for AF to just get it over with and put me out of my misery. If it's a BFN on Saturday, I'm eating blue cheese for breakfast then having a few Wine as soon as the clock says it's pm! And a big bag of chips. Silver lining and all that...

ahhhhhpushit · 11/01/2012 15:30

Crossing fingers for everyone testing soon!!

I feel great! No symptoms really but then again I had a similar thing with DS1. Didn't know I was pregnant until 8 weeks as ran two pill packs together and had no symptoms!

Had a little peek at double buggies today arrghhh!!

cake I honestly can't believe your willpower!!

Sounds promising cakelady, good luck!

Piggyboo, that's rubbish I hope you're ok...

Any news about MadMonkey? Is it or is it not a BFP??

I feel bloated - looked like I was 3 months pregnant like night. There's some boobage action too, which is quite weird since they never hurt, even before AF. I think I ovulated on Monday and we SWI on Saturday - is it too early to have symptoms? I fear it may just be my brain playing tricks on me.

cakeladyc · 11/01/2012 11:25

I did promise myself i wouldnt pop on here until i'd tested at the end of the week, but the temptation is just too much!

An quick update from me as i'm at work...
Still no sign of AF, now 4 days late. I seem to be getting dull aches almost all the time, it feels a bit like period pain, but not as bad. Boobs are really sore and i'm feeling sick and tired.
When i was trying to get to sleep last night, i was lying on one side and i got a shooting pain, and then if i tried to lie on the other side, it really ached... that was a bit weird.

Still got a couple of days before i test... i think i'm going to be a nervous wreck by then!

Lexie1970 · 11/01/2012 08:40

For those with no symtoms, with my first I had none whatsoever, was not trying so didn't to test until gone 7 weeks - I had period type cramps and kept thinking AF was coming and of course she didn't!!

With second I knew straight away, boobs really hurt and nice BFP on stick!!!

Just goes to show you never know!!!!

PuggyMum · 10/01/2012 23:37

Thougth I'd just check in and say hello from the back of the bus!

Congrats ahhhhhhpushit!

I've been doing the OPK tests to make sure my fertile time is in line with my app on my phone - OV is expected on the 19th so will be SWI from this weekend (although we have friends staying! Friend is pg and is bringing baby dust!)!!!

It feels like forever waiting but have also been enjoying being in our own little ttc club and having SFF. We've not been this loved up for a while through life getting in the way and it's nice to forget the world....

IF this is our month, we are going to see Snow Patrol on the 3rd Feb which is the day after AF is due..... If she's not arrived then I'll do a test and will really make the evening x

Love to all x x

OptiMumPrime · 10/01/2012 22:34

I am thinking positively for you, MadMonkeys. A line is a line, however feint. So hope it wasn't your eyes imagining things. Good luck!

missuswife · 10/01/2012 22:15

Yes, cakeladyc, I had cramps on the day AF was due and for a couple days after. Not period cramps. They were different. It felt like when I have had a pelvic exam and the doctor palpated my ovaries from the inside. Don't know if they do that here in the UK.

I had really sore boobs since about 7 DPO, still sore, and they are getting bigger and bigger.

Also been really tired, have had headaches, and a couple of dizzy spells that were easily fixed by eating something.

PrimalChic · 10/01/2012 22:10

la la la...

:)

Chunkychicken · 10/01/2012 21:50

Isn't the contact lenses thing more in later pregnancy though? I was told by my optician that you become more short-sighted as you go through, because your ligaments are relaxing, including your retina. But heh, if it was in a science journal, it must be true! Wink

PrimalChic · 10/01/2012 21:45

It's all about steepening of the corneal curvature! Or something. I remembered it being a side affect of the pill many years ago. So that's it, clearly expecting a BFP now thanks to medical journals!!

PeppaTwig · 10/01/2012 21:45

PrimalChic, how funny that as soon as I read your post my contact lenses started irritating me. It has to be a sign...!

Panzee · 10/01/2012 21:42

Oh Primal I had uncomfortable contact lenses on Saturday! Along with my other huge list of symptoms that lasted till Sunday. :o

notthehippopotamus · 10/01/2012 21:36

Congratulations ahhhhhpushit - fantastic news! This seems to be a lucky thread :)

Having said that, I have absolutely no symptoms at all despite my best efforts to spot some. Feel completely normal, apart from stressed out by work - which is normal for me. 10dpo so really nothing to report but I don't think it's going to be my month.

Happy symptom-spotting all!

PrimalChic · 10/01/2012 21:09

Ok, more symptom spotting, and this is a good'un, it's even backed up by googling medical research journals and everything...

Uncomfortable contact lenses.

piggyboo · 10/01/2012 20:33

busylady, almost certainly will be a bfp at the most inconvienient time, i got my first unexpectedly (weren't even trying) 2 days after i'd bought a complete wreck of a farmhouse. Not ideal, only finished renovating one week before she arrived, luckily she was 10 days late.

Chunkychicken · 10/01/2012 20:27

busylady I think I agree - a small flat +newborn + trying to sell/move are not exactly a match made in heaven, its bad enough trying to sell our house with my 20mths old wrecking the place... Fingers crossed for you!!

busylady99 · 10/01/2012 19:23

Bet I've found a way of getting a guarenteed BFP this month.

We're moving house and were supposed to be exchanging this week and moving from our little flat to a lovely house in the next few weeks but, as of this morning, the chain is looking decidedly shaky.

If I was fate, I'd be in there like a shot!

MadMonkeys · 10/01/2012 18:55

No congratulations fo me yet OptiMumPrime - I'm not convinced it was a bfp this morning. I can't decide whether to test again tomorrow or leave it for a couple of days. I'm generally very impatient so I imagine I will poas tomorrow!

OptiMumPrime · 10/01/2012 18:42

displacedbrit, like RunningKatie, I too was 36 when I had my first. It's not old these days! Good luck!

Congratulations, MadMonkeys, wow!

barkwithnobite · 10/01/2012 17:48

Runnykatie, I burst out laughing when I read your burst. Your DH is offering to SWI eh! I bet that's one very enthusiastic offer from him!!!

PrimalChic · 10/01/2012 17:21

Ah piggy boo, that's rubbish. Here's to no symptoms = BFP next month.
