Been TTC two years with no success. This afternoon I have my pre-op assessment for a lap and dye. Judging by the last few cycles I'm a day late with AF. I had a First Response sitting in the bathrom cabinet and this morning thought 'I'm going to do it. Just so it's not sitting there and taunting me'.

I did it. I watched it develop as I cleaned my teeth. I fully expected just the one dark pink line as usual. Then I noticed a kind of 'shadow' where the second line should be. It's never happened before so I assumed it was an evap line. Left it for 5 mins while I made a cuppa and went back to it.
It's very, very faint. But it's definitely there and definitely got a pink tinge to it.

So how faint is a faint line? I've done so many of these bloody things over the last two years I knwo i'm seeing a line and not something else but after solong I really can't let myself believe that I have got a positive.

I'm trying really really hard to keep my feet on the ground....

(ps is it worth me buying a digital when I'm out later? I don't want to tell DH the possible news when he gets up, it will be too upsetting to get his hopes up if i'm not pregnant)

I just found this via active convos. Congratulations Grin

(My DS2 (who took us about a year to conceive) started out as the faintest of faint pink dots that was just about visible if you held the test up to the light, squinted and wished really hard!)

Thrilled for you.

yes i've told him. He looked confused to begin with (he is really quite poorly with a cold and has slept much of the day), then he cried, then he just kind of stood there and didn't know what to say so I made him a restorative cup of tea!
