Snoopy I know exactly how you feel so try not to obsess about it. You need to carry on with the cyclogest and high dose preds. Good luck honey, let's hope all will be ok.

Thanks Free, had it in my head was bad to be above two. Wouldn't be so bothered if I wasn't feeling permanently tired, wish I was back on the pred!
Snoopy I'm sorry you have to wait all weekend without a definite answer. I think you just have to stick with the "pg till proven otherwise" mantra.

freelancegirl · 20/01/2012 15:59

Hi Iggi those levels sound good to me, I wouldn't change the dose for the time being. Check regularly though. Your TSH has changed quite a bit but 2.2 is still a nice number and the rest are ok too. Keep an eye on it though as you don't want it to slow down too much more.

Sorry for what you're going through Snoopy. I don't know about actual HCG numbers but I think you are right in thinking it is the doubling/changing that counts not the actual number. If it is a chemical I hope you can take heart in what Sue said too. But hopefully it will be as battery had it!

snoopygirl · 20/01/2012 15:52

ok it's 8.1 which seems incredibly low but she said it's still considered positive. Have to have test which I've just booked for Mon at 11.30 at local gp's and nurse at NLC said she'll keep slot for me on Tues for Intralipids if it goes up to 15/16 or above.
Just spoke with nurse at docs and she didn't seem to know what that test was!!!!!
got achey tummy so not holding out too much hope.

I'll just keep taking pred at 40mg is that right and cyclogest is that right?
sorry should have asked clinic.

thank god you are all here thanks so much xxxx

igggi · 20/01/2012 14:42

Is Free (or any other thyroid experts) around? Just got my latest results back, T4 is 14, TSH 2.2, T3 2.9. Is that ok or should I up the dose? By comparison in October I had T4 14, TSH 0.8, T3 1.7.

igggi · 20/01/2012 14:37

It is so hard not just to be allowed to feel the excitement of a positive pregnancy test Sad
Hope you get good results, and SOON.

suemays · 20/01/2012 14:24

Snoopy and pq, I am hoping you will both be ok but if it is a chemical don't get too upset. Louise told me that there would be no pregnancy tissue and that sometimes the body Sends signals that you are pregnant even though it's not viable. I had a day of crying but thought I wouldn't let it beat me. It's the disappointment that is the worst thing. I had a faint line on 2 days, then a really strong line on day 3 but it got fainter on the following 2 days. Hopefully you wil be like battery and the hcg will be ok.

ChoccyPud · 20/01/2012 14:00

Sorry you're having such a shitty day snoopy. Hope you get the hcg number soon.

As I understand it a chemical pg is a pg that could only be identified by blood test not seen in a scan ie you lose it v early on. I could be wrong. It's still a loss no matter how early on it is as you have been pg. You'd have implanted, what, a week after ov, or thereabouts and I was told the other day that chems shouldn't be read as an implantation issue.

I hope this sets your mind at rest a bit but I know until you get your hcg results you'll be totally up in the air. It's not over yet tho, PUPA remember!

Waves to everyone! TFIF :)

eurochick · 20/01/2012 13:40

I have everything crossed for you snoopy.

CD 6 here and I am on my last day of Letrozole for this cycle. I now just have to keep an eye on my OPKs and book in for a scan if I get a positive before my appointment on what will be CD18.

free I think I would go for a swimsuit if you are not comfortable in a bikini. They are not really hotter than a bikini. I sometimes wear mine on holiday if I am going diving (my wetsuit is a size too small sale bargain and would take my bikini with it upon removal - not really what you want on a boat full of fat forrin dive geeks and pervy local guides ) or for a sports swim (I can swim quite fast and my bikinis have been known not to keep up with me if I do a strong push off when turning!). I don't feel noticeably hotter in it.

snoopygirl · 20/01/2012 13:24

thanks free and battery. Just printed of list of levels from FF website so keep that with me when she calls. I;m sure she;ll explain all anyway.

It's just so confusing. Wed lots faint lines. Thurs 7.30am no line. 9.30am strong line! Today no lines.

Just have to wait, thanks for your support both of you. I'll let you know later. x

batteryhen · 20/01/2012 13:22

free - Tankini? I would not wear a bikini now if I was paid. Too much weight has gone on already. I have oredered some leggings and tunic tops that should arrive today. This will be my wardrobe for the next few months. I really am worried about the weight gain. I don't want to end up with gestational diabetes. A friend suggested low GI - but is it ok in pregnancy? I am just so hungry all the time and have no will power :(

batteryhen · 20/01/2012 13:18

snoopy - sorry you are having this worry - BUT .... when I went to St Marys and told them I was pregnant - the pee stick came back negative. I was worried sick - as I was actually late for AF by then. My Hcg came back as 58 - (anything over 5 is considered pregnant) and I think the wee test was negative as some of them don't detect a pregnancy unitl the hcg is over 50 - so mine was barely there. Yours might be the same. If the HCG hasn't registered high enough, it won't show on a wee stick. Hang on in there. Oh and also - I had a positive line at home first then neg, so not all is lost fot you yet.

Will lurk for you xx

freelancegirl · 20/01/2012 13:16

Oh Snoopy that is indeed confusing and frustrating and painful. Not sure about chemicals either. So very strange. I guess they are things we wouldn't ever have know about before the advent of at home pregnancy tests. Did you try different brands? When will you know about HCG? I guess that also shuts me up about not testing again, as if you hadn't then you would have wasted the money on the intralipids. Although you might still be pregnant of course. DIdn't Battery have something similar?

Equally as frustrating for you PQ. Sorry about the family dramas and hope something comes clear re the testing in the next couple of days.

Iggi are you still by the roadside waiting to be rescued? Hope it's all ok! I will let you know how I get on with the doppler.

I am still feeling tired and nauseous occasionally, which makes me feel hopeful that everything is going ok but also a bit confused as to when this might stop. But then when I feel ok I am still worried too. Not much I can do apart from countdown to scan. If it is ok at 15 weeks and I am still mentalling after that, not sure when I will ever feel confident about being pregnant! I tried on summer clothes for holiday earlier, which meant a good half hour or more of looking in the mirror at my rather odd shape. Bikinis look awful, not sure what to do about that. Feel it might be too hot in St Lucia to wear a swimsuit? Am still hesitant in talking about the holiday like the pregnancy!

I had a bit of a scare earlier (TMI warning) as I had a bit of blood when going to the loo. It was very much from the back rather than the front though and Dr Google tells me it is quite common due to everything going slower and building up, constipation etc. Nice...

snoopygirl · 20/01/2012 13:04

Oh shit forgot about the sushi. Don't think it matters anyway now.

Bad news I think. Poas this morning no line (Apologies free) . Got to NLC went for wee tested no line. Went in with two nurses explained showed her stick and she said I doesn't like promising - I break down crying again, (what is it with those official places) and we decide best thing is HCG test she did consider St Heliers on nhs but we did it there and then at 65 quid. so waiting for results to be rung through to me at 3.30pm today.

Poor DS bawling his eyes out as DH had to take me and he promised to take him to school. As I had a sum total of 1hr sleep last night I didn't trust myself to drive all that way.

So al in all rubbish day and just wait for call but it's almost certainly a no. Dont' know what levels should be anyway. But apart from few spots AF no where in sight.

Sorry about yours PQ. I should have held off a couple of days like you maybe. It's a shame we had a little flurry there of good news.

Why do chemicals happen, is it just bad implantation or what?

PQ77 · 20/01/2012 11:16

Flat battery doesn't sound like a good start to the day iggi (iPhone really wants to call you Gigi though).

igggi · 20/01/2012 11:10

Hello, a few days yet PQ, the fat lady has not yet sung.

Free the doppler is not all bad news! I have had good results from it sometimes, and I use it now more as a check to stop me calling in the midwife! Though now that I'm far enough on to hear the doppler better, I'm also far enough on to feel movements so don't need it as much. Pah. (Wondering what a uterine artery sounds like now!)
Waiting for rac to come to start my flat battery.

PQ77 · 20/01/2012 11:03

Sorry for lack of update - had a few family dramas (mother and sisters) so quite managed to forget I was ttc for a few hours! Did a fr test and no line today (save for the faint line I found when I pulled the damn thing apart and held the inner plastic strip up to a halogen light - think that must have been an evaporation line). So most likely not pregnant - though Af due on sunday so I'll keep testing
Hope everyone has a good Friday - not long to go until the weekend

batteryhen · 20/01/2012 10:48

Just having a lurk for news for PQ

freelancegirl · 20/01/2012 09:42

Good luck with the intralipids snoopy! No sushi for you my girl. Good news on the smiley face Sue. Am in a cafe, well more of a caff having breakfast with dh and lurking for news of PQ. Doppler yet to arrive as only ordered yesterday.

duggs1976 · 20/01/2012 09:39

PQ any news ?

duggs1976 · 20/01/2012 09:38

Best of luck sue whatever happens this cycle u know u r increasing your chances Grin

suemays · 20/01/2012 09:30

#snoopy# I did the shot on wed eve so ovd yesterday morning. I had loads of. Ewcm and cramps plus got a smiley face on opk. Since starting the preds I have never got a smiley face so I hope it's a good sign!
Louise told me cyclogest is slightly better up the front although most will change to the back by the last few weeks due to irritation. I had a lot of fallout with it too.

snoopygirl · 20/01/2012 04:22

arrghh 4.20am no sleep yet, after me telling lotions not too bad. Hopefully just could 1st day of 40mg. Spent whole night in bed mentalling about not feeling pregnant and that I'm going to feel a fraud having lipids tomorrow and that it's probably a complete waste of money! Only good thing it's L's day off so won't have the embarrassed chat re my rant the other day.
Must avoid Beaconsfield services tomorrow, keep going in M&S and stocking up with sushi, nuts for journey, something chocolatey etc etc

snoopygirl · 19/01/2012 21:57

pq good luck with test tomorrow xx
