Sorry cornflakes! Pulling is your uterus stretching. No bleeding then u r ok chick. X

duggs1976 · 04/01/2012 18:29

sue am so terribly sorry.
Roller coaster. Hideous sinking feeling like you are falling back into the abyss.
Initial thoughts r to get away from this thread as too many reminders. But then you wander back. I don't even have up and down days anymore, just up and down hours.

euro and snoopy and cherry and kittens fellow super ov folk.

The first app and scan with dr s is £320 (i think) and £220 thereafter. They would take your blood pressure etc then so def combine. The drugs each month on super ov are £60 to £80 depending where u get them. If we have 85% success rate within 6 mths then we have to feel lucky to get pg within 6 mths.

free amazing. Amazing.

Happy new year to everyone!

Sue... I'm so sorry to hear your news, this is all so cruel to us all, we get our hopes up then it's taken away so quickly. Be kind to yourself xxx

Pico .... Congrats..

Free... Wow fantastic news it must be such a relief nearly at the great 12 weeks brilliant...

I'm having a wobble day today, I had my intrepilids yesterday and it went well, but I'm starting to panic , havn pt had any pregnancy symptoms at all, I keep getting pulling sensations like period pain... I have never made it past this point and I'm struggling to believe I will this time, I have another week till my next scan and it feels like a lifetime.

Is anyone else n here under st helier?

Cheerfulcharlie · 04/01/2012 16:42

Sue, so sorry. I know it's not much consolation but you are right that it if it does have to go wrong,it is much easier to deal with and move on with your body getting back to normal if it is earlier rather than some weeks down the line. At least it sounds like you can start trying again without a break from the pred.

Ari. I am only the low aspirin. So glad i don't have to bother with the clexane. Both my doc over here and Dr S both said aspirin was fine. I'm pretty sure my doc said even if I was homo MTHFR on both genes (i am hetero on both) they still wouldn't give me clexane as all my other blood clotting tests came back normal. Which begs the question, why test for it at all? Anyway, just to be on the safe side I am not going to fly at all during pregnancy as that can increase a tendency to clot. I am also making a particular effort to keep hydrated so stop blood getting sticky.

free so happy to hear your scan was good! Hopefully Friday will be a little less stressful. Are you having your NT scan then too?

I was going to have a scan on Tues at 11+5 followed by intralipids if needed. Then I was going to have my NT on Sunday at 12+3 but now decided just to have the NT scan at 12+0 next Thurs 12th with intralipids after if it is successful. Do you think it will matter that, assuming i need them, the intralipids would be done 4 weeks 2 days after the last lot?

pico congrats! How far on do you think you are? Will you be doing intralipids?

Stogan · 04/01/2012 12:58

So sorry sue, massive hugs to u xxx

Congrats to you pico xx

So unreal how we have so many ups and downs on here, it's awful but we will help each other thru ladies. Xxx

eurochick · 04/01/2012 12:24

That's great news free!

I suppose ov could have passed me by but that would be unusual. Even pre-ttc I used to notice it and note it down so I knew when to expect my period. I can even remember when doing biology at school the teacher asking if anyone got "mittelschmerz" [or however you spell it] and I was one of the few who did. I didn't realise it was unusual because it was normal for me.

sue sorry, I didn't mean to suggest it made it easier. I was just trying to say that perhaps it didn't indicate the treatment wasn't working, if you see what I mean? I probably phrased it badly. That's the problem with words on a screen!

snoopy I think that sounds like a good plan if you want to discuss superov with him. I'm not sure of the cost difference, although I think I have a pricelist somewhere.

Arianrhod · 04/01/2012 11:59

Fabulous news free, nothing wrong with a sneaky scan, anything that puts your mind at rest is a definite bonus!

freelancegirl · 04/01/2012 11:55

Crossed posts with sue and snoopy. Sue you are bound to feel low and disappointed but good news too that you don't have to wait.

Snoopy yes I would make an appt with mr s if you are going to discuss treatment xx

freelancegirl · 04/01/2012 11:52

Sue, so sorry to hear about the chemical pregnsncy. It must be brry updetting and frustrating. I wonder if they epuld make you wait because of the Pred or anything physical? Either way take care if yourself and try to think of it as one of those things that might well have happened despite the nk cells. I try to think of the mc I had on the Pred like that and find it helps.

Pico, congratulations on the bfp! Yes it is just the first step but it is a very good start.

Euro ov signs are important but am sure in those heady days before we were watching every sign and symptom there must have been plenty if months we ovulated without noticing? Hopefully that's the case with you this month.

Hopeful - good luck with starting the Pred!

Well I actually have news having been for a sneaky denial scan scheduled at St marys. My last one here I think. I've come on my own, didn't tell anyone about it apart from dh. I just didn't want to fall out their system in case I miscarry again.

Anyway, long wait here and still in waiting room to see doc after scan, but just had scan and it's alive and well! Good heartbeat and measured 11+4 weeks! Big relief. Will get more info from mr s on Friday of course but it's been great to have a sneak preview. Am still nervous as hell about Friday as anything can happen in that time as we know, but if it's ok on Friday then I have intralipids and the next thing will be a nuchal next Thursday at the fetal medicine centre as recommended by mr s. There might be a possibility that with my 5th pregnancy I might see my first ever 2nd trimester.

snoopygirl · 04/01/2012 11:51

sorry to be a pain in the arse but can anyone advise?

I have just started pred for cycle 3 I need to go for check up at NLC,as haven't seen him since beginning and says on letter go back to him after cycle 1/2.
I made appointment with Louise this morning but then thought i really need to discuss Super O plan, so have changed it to Dr S. I presume Louise would just check side affects and see how I'm getting on on the drugs and check blood pressure etc.
Did I do the right thing cancelling and booking to see him? I think I would rather as he is the expert and don't want to go down there twice.

What's the cost difference between seeing Louise and Dr S for this sort of thing anyway?

Good luck this time hopeful

suemays · 04/01/2012 11:47

Thanks for all your kind words. I spoke to Louise earlier and she said as it was so early on it is not even classed as a pregnancy Sad I can start on the superov plan as soon as I start bleeding so just waiting now. Talk about a rollercoaster of emotions. I dont think I will believe the next pregnancy test I take as I will be convinced I will be having another chemical.
Euro you are right, it probably was just a non-viable embryo. Still doesnt make me feel any better though! Saying that, I would rather it happened now than get to 6 or 8 weeks pregnant as I think everyday that goes by gives us more hope that the pregnancy will last. Louise also said I wont need to take a 2 month break once on the superov programme as I will be more closely monitored. Hopefully next time around will be the right one. Don't know what I would do without all of you!!!

Pico well done on your BFP, lets hope there are some more this month and that you have better luck than me xx

hopefulfor2nd · 04/01/2012 11:23

Sues, sorry to hear the low numbers. Totally understand a need to lay low for a while. Hopefully you won't need to have a break for too long before you can think about going for it again. I've been in your position before and the waiting for the inevitable is horrible.

Pico, well done!

After getting my smiley face yesterday, I'm starting my pred tomorrow am. Feels like big news, finally recommencing ttc and so wary of it and what it may bring. 5 times bitten, 6 times wary and all that!
Waves to all x x

eurochick · 04/01/2012 10:54

Oh, and congrats on the BFP, pico!

eurochick · 04/01/2012 10:51

sue I am so sorry to hear that it was a chem preg. You know, it might not have been an NKC issue. It could have been a non-viable embryo. That might explain why it is your first chem preg.

digi I am kind of in limbo at the moment. I still do not feel like I have ovulated (didn't get the usual bloated/constipated ov day feeling, boobs are not hurting like they usually do post ov) but my temps are up slightly and yesterday fertility friend drew me an ov line for last Friday (which is I think the very day I was on here ranting about the Letrozole messing up my system!). The day before that was the day of the last of my ov pains, and they were pretty strong, and I also had acu then and she tried to make me ov, but I just don't feel like I did. After much humming and hawing, I have started the pred this morning, but I am very much unconvinced! I guess I will only know for sure if my period turns up 12/13 days (my usual LP) after last Friday. I'm updating myself on the list to waiting to test for now anyway.

sue am so sorry.

PQ77 · 04/01/2012 10:20

apologies congrats pico

am so sorry sue. I had to wait two cycles (ie two periods) before trying again but it will no doubt depend on how long you were on the pred so wait and see what Mr S says. x

snoopygirl · 04/01/2012 10:18

Oh Sue sorry darling, if you need a shoulder to cry on pm me anytime and let me know.x

Arianrhod · 04/01/2012 10:10

Oh sue I'm so, so sorry you find yourself with this. Huge hugs, look after you.

batteryhen · 04/01/2012 10:04

sue I am sorry :( that is crap. I am sorry I didn't get to reply back to you yesterday either - my phone has broken and I couldn't get to a laptop. I understand you wanting some time out, but let us know if you need anything or need support.

Morning all, I hope everyone is Ok. xx

suemays · 04/01/2012 09:57

My hcg results were 6.8 so not high enough for a viable pregnancy. Can someone take me off the first trimester list. Prob wont be on here for a few days. Looks like the v high killer cells i have are even more effective as this is the first chemical pregnancy i have had. Louise is calling me later to discuss what to do next as i dont know how long they advise to wait to ttc again. Not sure if i can keep putting myself through this torture any more!

Arianrhod · 04/01/2012 09:29

Morning all! pico congratulations!!! And now the mentalling starts .. :)

Got my post-MC follow-up appt with Mr S this afternoon, since he's already got me taking the hydroxy I guess it's just a "how are you feeling" kind of appt so doubt we'll learn anything new today.

cheerful can I just ask you, as a fellow-MTHFR person, are you just taking baby aspirin for that or are you on Clexane too? I've been reading around a bit (more), and it seems all of the consultants at places like ARGC have those with MTHFR taking Clexane to thin the blood from BFP, so I'm a bit worried why I'm only on aspirin. Most of the consultants I read about in the States also prescribe Clexane against this too, which makes me wonder even more. I did briefly raise it with Mr S several appts ago and he just said he didn't believe anything stronger than aspirin is necessary, but given that so many other consultants feel stronger is needed, I'm a bit worried. Not that I'm pregnant to have to worry about it, but you know what I mean!

/waves to everyone

PQ77 · 04/01/2012 09:11

waving back at lemonsherbert as have just read the last 12 hours of the thread and then forgot everything I was going to say!

digi - how is your cough? Have you got a fever? Maybe you should go to GP after all? Sorry to be a worry, but i was suprised how ill I got with my lurgy before christmas and that it was worth treating but the gp (after years of scoffing that coughs/colds/sick days are for weaklings). I know it's not your day job but you sound like a fantastic home interior designer by the way!

kittens hope you got back ok.

just had two team members resign (for great opportunities elsewhere, can't fault them really and they have been in floods of tears saying they are so sorry to let me down...but still). so too busy thinking about what I have to do re recruiting and training to think about the fact I should be ov any day now...just a bit behind you hopeful. Though I won't see DH until the weekend (I refuse to SWI at 2am when he gets home from work) so this month could be a bit of a write off.

Speaking of which, enjoy your month off duggs (but now I know you are as impatient as I am, I think that might not happen...)

free - I can only imagine that this is a really weird time for you getting so close to 12 weeks. just a couple more days until your scan.

iggi back at work today - going ok? Pain subsided I hope?

battery please don't go jeans shopping - jeans are not the friend of the pred thread. I find dresses are great. Especially wrap dresses from Selfridges...

also wondering if brownie and breezy are ok? Hi choccy and god, everyone else. Sorry not to keep up and mention everyone, I am reading all your news. xx
