TTC/Pregnancy on Prednisolone or similar part 4

Happy birthday kittens and a belated one for ari.

I hope you can see someone soon cornflakes so that you can be properly reassured. The only pregnancy (out of seven) where I lost some brown blood is this one which is working - fingers crossed all ok.

Good luck to all scanees this week - I'm seeing consultant tomorrow so hopefully get to hear heartbeat and anomaly scan Thursday.

No, I'm just going to my local hospital, Battery. Mr S suggested that I should have this scan and the consultant was absolutely fine with it. I'll let you know how it goes. Although I've got the scan tomorrow, I'm not seeing the consultant for another couple of weeks so they won't make a decision about my treatment until then.

coconut I will be interested to hear about your scan. I am a clexane injector too, and MR S said to have the doppler scan at 23 weeks too. Are you having the scan with him?

Bloody hell Stogan - 9 weeks isn't long at all. How exciting!!

I've just remembered I've got a scan tomorrow actually. It's a specialist scan called a uterine atery doppler which checks the arteries around my uterus and is apparently a good indicator of late pregnancy complications. They are going to use the results of this to decided whether to keep me on the clexane or switch me back to aspirin. I assume I'll get to see the baby as well but I'm not sure.

Which day are you ladies thinking of meeting up? I'm working Mon - Weds but could possibly do Friday. Only thing is, I'll have ds in tow, which doesn't make it easy to just sit down and chat. Let me know your plans and I'll see if I can fit in.

For those saying they feel no glow, huge etc I am now starting to feel like a whale !!!! 31 weeks and everyone says I look so well (heartburn is eating me alive) and my bump is so neat (I have gone from a size 10/12 to an 18!!!!!) nice for people to say nice things but I feel wretched from I get up until 11am then I'm fine til about 6pm rest of the time it's heartburn city !!! Great thing is tho I am sleeping the clock round, 11.5 hours last night and 10 hours the night before, and I'm making the best of it while I can as I'm sure babes will change that in 9 weeks time, OMG 9 weeks the reality is only just now setting in, been too scared to admit it and now sooooo much to get sorted !!!

Sorry for the HUGELY self indulgent post but this is all actually just sinking in now and OMG it's actually happening !! Mr S I WANNA KISS YOU !!! X

cornflakes God I hate all this scary stuff :( if it helps in my last pg I had full on bleeding twice and baby was Ok. ( I know I mc but not until weeks later and the bleeding was just implantation). Would you be due AF around now? sometimes you can get some blood and discharge around this time.
ari happy birthday :) January is a good month for us - it's mine next week too.
I think 3 of us have a scan on wednesday and free on Thursday..... I will have a go at updating the list next.
DP has just left - he works away from home during the week and this is his first week back since xmas. :( Feel a bit teary.

Hi ladies .. Sorry for the absence and thank you all for the birthday wishes. Unfortunately with DD's birthday being 2 days before mine and her party one day before (ie yesterday), my birthday always ends up being a mad clear-up and taking-down of decorations.

kittens Happy birthday for tomorrow! Sorry to hear about the bust-up with DH but no wonder your emotions are running wild right now and as has been said already you certainly already SWId within the right timeframe so don't worry too much.

Oh cornflakes we can all probably relate to not wanting to go down Epu, it's not a nice thing to be doing at all. I hope things just calm down on their own and you can hold out until weds. How many weeks are you now?

Our EPU is open on a Sunday - have you checked that yours is actually shut? (I know how long one night of waiting can be!). At least you have had nothing so far that can't be explained positively (as well as whatever you are imagining). Last time I had a murky coloured discharge (as seen by doc looking inside me with a torch!) I had thrush.

Hi thanks for the reassurance guys, I'm still having discharge and some period like pains, I wouldn't have thought twice about the pains if itnwasnt for the discharge. I'm booked in for wed afternoon for a scan but I don't thinking can wait that long I may go down to the epu in the morning. it's just such a horrible experience waiting around to be seen.

Cornflakes, have you had any more discharge? A personal question but had you by any chance SWI without the WI bit...? The only time I have had any discoloration was after that at around 7 weeks. It's quite common when pregnant - cervical erosion. That said I also know of people who have had full on bleeds throughout a lot if their pregnancies and no cause whatsoever has been found. When is your next scan?

Good luck to kittens, PQ and alll those swi! My tip is to get it out of the way before bedtime if you can. I know we are probably all old hands at it now though unfortunately.

Coley I think we were all glad to get Xmas etc out of the way. I nipped to the shops earlier (having a lazy day with papers so far) for milk in poorly disguised sleep-wear and it felt like a 'new day' out there. It's getting lighter by tens minutes a week which I love! It won't be long until it warms up and thongs automatically look a lot more positive.

Incidentally PQ and I are going to see if we can have a local meet up thus week? As we are both free-Ish this might be a week day day time thing but if euro or any other lovals to our neck of the woods fancies a coffee or similar do let us know! I am free every day except Thursday (big scary scan day).

Cornflakes just to say I have had so many scares in this pg I could start up my own fairground ride - none of them have come to anything. Someone at hosp could take a swab of your discharge to see what it is?

euro - after a tip off from a colleague, we watched it with the subtitles on!

PQ we caught up with The Wire last year, having never seen a single episode before. I thought it was brilliant. Really well acted. Some of the dialogue is tough to understand, but the story comes through anyway.

kittens it sounds like you have managed swi within the "window" anyway, so I wouldn't put yourself under pressure at the moment.

cornflakes I have no practical advice but I hope everything is ok.

(yes we've discovered this tv series 9 years after the rest of the world). hopefully you will find the right moment today if you feel up to it.

cornflakes how upsetting. This is a round about way of putting it but I have had a number of mc and none started like that. Can you double up your progesterone if you are on it? But probably best to talk to an expert like coley says. Despite being pregnant or mc for most of the last 4 years and watching 6 seasons of greys anatomy I do have to remind myself occasionally that I have no medical qualifications.

lemon I am dreading my new SIL getting pregnant so I can only imagine what it's like. Hope you have a nice time out later. In our house everyone is still in pjs - our planned morning outing has been rescheduled to this afternoon!

cornflakes - I'm not sure about your discharge but would be a good idea to have a scan if possible given miscarriage history. Can you call Louise and ask or go to your local EPU?

Given there is no blood there may be absolutely nothing to worry about. Please keep us updated.

Kittens sorry you are having a rough couple of days. After all you have been through it is natural for you to be teary and down. Don't put any pressure on yourself this month. Is it possible to talk to your husband and see if this puts you more in the mood. You have already had swi and they can live up to 5 days. So you can not always rule out that this will not be your month.

I am fine glad to have gotten through new year and christmas. Just dreading all of the talk of my SIL pregnancy that is all my MIL can talk about. Quite natural really since this will be her first GC. Am going out with friends later so that should be good.

I can not remember everyones news so congrats on the scans this week. Has anyone got any coming up?
