Hi pq

I know what you mean.... line on cheap sticks wasnt' as strong and on FR wasn't incredibly faint. Saying that I think just got to go with it. Taken 40mg of pred and cyclogest wasnt' too bad last night!

It's not like I've got an appointment anyway!! Hopefully hear this morning after shitty email.
theres been lots of stories of fainter lines going on to sucessful preg so try not to worry.
x

PQ77 · 19/01/2012 07:13

Agh... Have lost my nerve and going to change intralipids to Monday if I can. Used up all my early preg tests and used an ordinary boots one today - not even a glimmer of a line. AF due today or Sunday (cycle alternates 28-32 days). Not FQ this month I think duggs! But you have set off an intense craving for a creme egg, one of my favourite things in the world!

duggs1976 · 19/01/2012 06:24

Morning how rude of me PQ or FQ as I have renamed her congrats! *snoopy^ amazing news for you too . . Off the starting block as it were.

Sorry I won't be about for lunchtime 1pm meet up at southbank sat 28 jan but seems lots of you up for it - you just need to chose restaurant and report back to rest of us Grin

digitalgirl · 18/01/2012 22:27

Love it when duggs does drunk mn-ing! Wink

choccy and free I have had my aspirin purchase queried once - when I brought it alongside Pregnancare (not the Conception one, Mr S suggested the normal Pregnacare with Omega 3 so I was getting that). I just got "have you been told to take that". And I just said that yes, my consultant had told me to take it.

Out of my 14 past cycles of trying I was probably on aspirin for 3 or 4 of them (I tried it for a couple of months back in the summer, before I saw Mr S, after reading that it might help implantation). So I can't get pg with or without it!

duggs1976 · 18/01/2012 21:22

Am pissGrind on my month off at paddington having had a nutritious dinner of 3 large malbecs a twirl and a cadburys creme egg ( seasonal excitement leading me to contemplate the positioning of who eats these things) dr raj rai told me to stop the asprin. Considering my last mc the only damn thing I was on was asprin I quite confidently stopped it. ( for me I might add not blanket advice). There r some underground/ black Market Wink contraceptive qualities about it so I've heard. But some ladies may need it so don't just stop just question next app if unsure ! Over and out drunken iPhone irresponsible post from train home Blush

snoopygirl · 18/01/2012 20:35

thanks girls yes ari left four or so messages on mob. Haven't texted her though might try that if don't hear in morning.
free yes it's amazing how can go from resigning yourself to not ever gettin pregnant again to excitement/fear Smile. Hope I;m not on here tomorrow talking about af or something.
hopeful thought it was just me for a moment! Other way round for me as in normally get straight though to the office.
See what tomorrow brings ..

Husband thinks it's very amusing about the Cyclogest I now have to pop up as it were. If he's not careful I'll be firing the Nerf Gun DS got for birthday where sun doesn't shine!

hopefulfor2nd · 18/01/2012 20:06

Oh my gosh girls, how exciting! Great first steps! X x

Also tried to get hold of Louise via email today and no response.......

ChoccyPud · 18/01/2012 20:06

What a busy afternoon!!

Great news for the BFP-ers, off on the journey (again). Yes it might be chem but get those intralipids in to you asafp I would. It's only money(!) and at least you're throwing everything at it, that's my theory.

Welcome HelterSkelter. Sorry to read about your losses, but hopefully you'll find this thread a great source of support and random info. It's so confusing that different hospitals give different advice. I'm on aspirin all the time, as that's what Dr S says to do. I've never been refused when asking for a pack of the 75's though free, sounds like you got a feisty one. I did get asked last time I stocked up if it was for me, got raised eyebrows, explained I was taking it on medical advice, and he was happy with that.

digi what a lovely post, hopefully I'll get to your stage too soon... Though I'm not sure I want to know why you need breast/maternity pads before baby arrives. How naiive I am, you must think, but until I need to know all the gory details I think I'd rather stay in blissful ignorance.

Would someone mind updating me to ttc from March at some point please?

I'm still up for 28th. We need duggs back to organise us!

freelancegirl · 18/01/2012 18:40

Euro you are right, should have nipped into Waitrose. Forgot about that. I can get some in my local Boots tomorrow. They give you anything in this part of South East London :)

Wow, it's amazing that you could be on your way to Epsom for intralipids tomorrow PQ - do let us know! You and Snoopy too maybe. Snoopy if it is any consolation intralipids are really easy to organise and you can do them very quickly via NLC.

Am still not sure about the 28th meet up. It's a friend's birthday and waiting to hear about her gathering. I will definitely come if I can though! Otherwise I am back on the 14th Feb and around after that. Must get some work organised!!

Arianrhod · 18/01/2012 18:23

snoopy do you have Louise's mobile num? I've sent her texts before now and she always responds to those. Like euro I've also never managed to get through on the office phone num and never had voicemails left on there answered. However I've always got replies to emails to the office email address.

eurochick · 18/01/2012 17:46

free they have low dose aspirin on the shelf in Waitrose at the Wharf (down the back on the left as you walk in from the shopping centre). And there is more than one Boots branch,so you could just sneak into another!

snoopy I have found emails to the office@miscarriageclinic address get answered pretty quickly. I have not ever once managed to get through on the phone!

I am also up for a 28 Jan meet!

snoopygirl · 18/01/2012 17:42

thanks PQ your a sweetie. I'll see if they call me in the morning. If not I'll PM you. Just sent them a curt email (office and louise). I'm sure they will but if not I coming down to camp in the reception until I get them AngrySmile!!

Oh btw....I have been naughty and not taking asprin regular. Read into that what you like but stopped it about end of Dec. Ov'd begin Jan roughly. Interesting.....

PQ77 · 18/01/2012 17:30

snoopy - can I do anything for you when I am at Epsom in person tomorrow? PM me if I can pass on a msg/make an appt for intralipids etc. i will go for the drip in the mornign regardless - unless I get AF and am actually bleeding heavily (oh the things we talk about, thinking about kittens at the ballet Grin)

Even though it might be a huge chunk of cash to throw at what could be a chem or even non pregnancy I am kind of taking on board Dr Beer's protocol which involves treatment before conception to calm down the immune system and my theory is that this might help get things in good shape for next cycle if this one is not to be

But perhaps i am talking COMPLETE rubbish

Re meet up on 28 Jan - I for one am in.

Got to dash, will respond more later if I get a chance (baking birthday cake tonight for DS)

snoopygirl · 18/01/2012 17:15

Thanks for the messages ladies x

Just been out but have now probably left 2 messages for Louise (2pm) and phoned her what 5 times. Also phoned office about 4 times and it's continuoulsy going to answer phone!! and left message at about 2pm with them too.
I actually had to say to Louise when I was down NLC last week that the last time I left her a message and email she didn't get back to me at all. She was embarrrassed and even the receptionist said it would be unlike Louise and she apologised.
Well here I am having booked nothing and spoke to no one ...great.
does anyone know of any other numbers??

I got Louise mob and office on 0208 401 9928

Arianrhod · 18/01/2012 16:20

Woohoo snoopy, understand the terrified bit but fab news nonetheless!! :) Louise is very good about coming back to you pretty rapidly, but I think most people have just started the pred and cyclogest straight away. Get those intralipids organised!

Havingkittens · 18/01/2012 15:58

Oh, by the way, is there still a meet up on the 28th? I know Duggs, our Social Secretary is away. I had originally thought I wouldn't make it as that was when my next scheduled trip to my mum's was planned but sadly that's not happening now, of course.

Havingkittens · 18/01/2012 15:56

free, I'd been meaning to pass on those tips to you for ages but with all the other stuff going on, I kept forgetting.

I only wish I'd noticed the spotting before I swallowed that blasted pred. Now I have gut ache for no reason Sad. I've been very spoilt as we've had a great lodger that was mostly scarce but she's moved out and. In the gap between lodgers we have a friend staying with us for a month and he uses the lounge a lot so I can't sit and fart at my leisure which is most frustrating. Tonight I'm orf to the ballet so probably best leave out the farting there too Grin.

freelancegirl · 18/01/2012 15:37

Ooo snoopy! Well done! I wouldsay Yes jump straight into the 40mg, but see what Louise says today. Dont worry about the short break, it will still he in your system. And Charlie is just doing intralipids with no Pred and managing well. and organise the intralipids! You just have to take the chance with that I think - ok if it's a chem you've wasted a wad of cash but chances are it's not and it's good to spring into action. I might be saying the same to PQ tomorrow.

Digi it really made me feel warm and happy to read you saying positive stiff about your pregnancy and how you're feeling. It's very good to hear.

Kittens thanks so much for the dark circles tips! I will definitely try them out. I kept meaning to ask you anyway. Am hoping that my holiday might help them go too, that and coming off the Pred in four days! Good that your af is on time, ok no bfp but I always like to think it's good that the body seems to be working well and at least on cycle.

Well Baby Brain here set out to get someore preg vits and aspirin earlier taking the wrong keys with me so am locked out until around 6 when dh gets home! Currently having tea in a canary wharf costa. And the boots pharmacist wouldn't let me have the aspirin! They had run out on the shelves so I had to ask and of course she asked if i was pregnant. Next time I will remember to say no.

digitalgirl · 18/01/2012 14:50

You wait all year for a BFP - then three come along at once! Flippin' eck snoops how exciting slash terrifying Grin! Am sure most ladies have just jumped straight onto the 40mg, hopefully Louise will get back to you ASAP. Didn't coconuts start hers at 6 weeks pg?

OP posts:
Havingkittens · 18/01/2012 14:48

Blimey 2 feint liners. Fingers crossed for you both ladies. Snoopy I'm sure Louise will call you soon with advice.

I've just started spotting so AF will probably turn up properly tomorrow. So, Day 1-3 test tomorrow I reckon, then scan on Monday or Tuesday. My GP gave me forms to get the blood tests done on NHS but after my referral fuck ups I'm a bit worried about test results going astray and then having to wait a further month.

snoopygirl · 18/01/2012 14:26

Er ....PQ can I hold your hand..........I too got a faint postive on a couple of sticks this morning...shit scared and waiting for Louise to call me for advice. Bloody typical I stopped pred few days ago.

  1. Shall I just whack straight onto the 40mg in morning? Cyclogest tonight.
  2. Am I jumping gun to book Intralipids as it could be Chemical

Can't believe it.... please please please let this work.

eurochick · 18/01/2012 13:46

Hello ladies.

Thanks for all of the birthday wishes yesterday.

I had my first appointment at the IVF clinic today - chlamydia swab and dildocam scan. Things are moving really fast. I had to put the brakes on a bit for the next appointment because I want to have a few cycles with the Letrozole and Pred before I move to IVF.

My side effects on the Pred were: some insomnia although only the first night on it was really bad, some feelings like I had a lot of adrenaline and was about to give a talk or something when I was doing nothing at all, a raging thirst. Oh and a bit of a belly after I had been on it a few days. It wasn't too bad overall.

digitalgirl · 18/01/2012 13:40

Happy belated birthday to batteryhen - was it nice being pg on your birthday? I've always been between pgs on my birthday, so over compensated on the wine and brie.

Hello helterskelter and good luck with this cycle. I've heard that the high nk cells thing is just a means to a diagnosis to justify treating with prednisolone, but actually steroids can work wonders for many things so it may be that it's actually treating an immune issue that we can't actually test for yet. If that makes any sense.

PQ !!!! Faint line!!!! Sounds better than no line! Methinks you are, for today, preggars. I too have never had a faint line that didn't turn out to be pregnancy.

ari it's a personal decision with the aspirin. My acupuncturist thinks that aspirin is a 'back-up' drug. As it's the nk cells that causes the blood to clot in the first place. So if your nk cells are under control then your blood is unlikely to clot, but just in case we take aspirin. However, not sure what research has been done to prove it, but it makes theoretical sense. If it makes you feel better - I stopped taking aspirin what turned out to be about 10 days before ovulating as I was getting disillusioned with popping so many pills and not even having a ripe folly to show for it. Then about 9 dpo started taking it again, 3 days later tested bfp.

Well done on the list update free was going to say you hadn't moved yourself along on the trimester status...but I guess it can wait till tomorrow! We also need to add hopeful to the BFP list.
Glad to hear you got your first bloods done at your GP. After you've had your 14/15/16 week scan with Mr S you'll need to book your anomaly scan for between 19-21 weeks. Hopefully you'll have your St Helier's referral through by then, but if not then I s'pose you could go private. It's quite a long scan though, so may be pricey if it's private.

iggi I've had a couple of dreams like that. S'not nice. Maybe the hypno thing might be a good idea.

brownie are you out there? hope all's ok...just wondering if you've had your anomaly scan yet.

Baby has been moving lots lately. I'm really enjoying this phase of the pregnancy. Pelvis starting to feel a little crunchy when rolling over at night, and actually not sleeping particularly well as I'm so aware of trying to sleep on my left - but I feel so lucky to have got this far. Actually a bit scared of hitting 30 weeks as I imagine time will speed up at that point and will need to do things like wash babygros and stock up on breast/maternity pads. MW appointment next week where we'll get to hear the hb - it's been so long since my last scan (had it at 19 weeks), I'm really looking forward to it.

Free get yourself to a Dior counter and try the highlighter pen (like Touche Eclat, but better) in the peachy tone - No5 I think. I reckon that shade would work with your skin tone. Only put it where the shadows are, not the puffy bits though otherwise it will be counter productive. Puffy areas can be disguised by using a slight shade darker than your foundation and then areas of shadow, the opposite - although with asian skin tones something with a fair bit of peach/orange/rose helps a lot. The principle is that light brings out areas of shadow (under eye, around mouth etc, or deep set eyes( and dark pushes back 'protruding' areas (puffiness, prominent brow bone, nose, chin etc). It's a matter of finding the right thing for you. Other things you can try are the Bobbi Brown under eye concealer duo palettes or the Laura Mercier custom tinted concealers which are orange and rose toned. Ask someone on the counter to show you.
