A TTC thread for the lovely ladies of the Waiting to TTC thread who have waited so patiently and are finally moving on. Good luck to all you Mallory girls, the fifth form and the Gruffalo are waving you off!

I thought I was being very good not getting my hopes up, but I have to admit I was still quite disappointed. Feel a bit bad admitting that though when some people have been trying for a lot longer. Just impatient for AF to be on her way and fertile phase to come round again now!

Hope you get plenty more encouraging symptoms Carly. I'll echo nenehoo's sentiments of baby luck to all - and hope we all have a reasonably unstressful week to help with that! :)

nenehooo · 15/01/2012 18:09

Aww notthe that's sad, but lots of lovely SWI to come next cycle
Welcome Carly! Fingers crossed for you - sounding good so far with the uncontrollable sobbing!
Fingers crossed and baby luck to all... Smile

Carly123 · 15/01/2012 14:58

Notthehippopotamus - so sorry i've put the wrong face symbol ... that's meant to be a sad one. Sorry, am still trying to get to grips with symbols and acronyms!!

Carly123 · 15/01/2012 14:48

Sorry to hear it's not been your lucky month :o( fingers crossed for next month.

I didn't realise how hard it would be not getting my hopes up too much, that's the hardest thing for me - I have the slightest early pregnancy sign and I can't help but think it's my lucky month!

Good luck and put your feet up today and relax if you can, those cramps are just awful hey.

x

notthehippopotamus · 15/01/2012 11:01

Carly123 welcome! Congratulations on making the move from WTTC to TTC. Sounds like this could have been your lucky month - will keep fingers crossed for you. Sorry about the stress at work though :(

AF has just got me with a vengeance - very crampy - so this was not my lucky month but I can't say I've very surprised. And would have been very lucky to get a BFP first time - after waiting so long I feel like we ought to have to TTC for a bit too. Need to try a bit harder next month I think ;)

Carly123 · 14/01/2012 12:23

Hello ladies, I hope you don't mind me joining in on the fun. I wasn't part of the original group, but we've been WTTC for what seems like ages now and finally got started. Period is due next Friday so we'll see what happens. My boobs have enlarged and are really tender and I have what feels like a constant temperature. Trouble is as I'm absolutely desparate to get preggers I can't help but think it's all in my head as I really want to have all these symptoms. I sobbed uncontrollably to our HR boss the other day too due to stress at work, but it's never made me cry before!! Fingers crossed!

notthehippopotamus · 12/01/2012 22:04

Obsessed - hmm. I was afraid the answer might be something like that!

Busy is definitely it. Informal lesson observation is a bit of a contradiction, although I suppose it's all relative. I would think all that might be enough to delay OV again until you have more energy for SWI?! Wink

nenehooo · 12/01/2012 19:26

Think this is the good thing about being a teacher... Too busy to symptom spot! I have informal Hmm lesson observations and a school trip planned for the week I'm supposed to OV. This may be an immaculate conception if it happens!!! Don't know where everyone else is... We win the prizes for most obsessed clearly Grin

notthehippopotamus · 11/01/2012 22:41

I'm not surprised your body decided OV was not sensible in the middle of all of that! Ofsted - uggghh :( The yoga is going to be much needed I think! Really glad AF is finally here for you though - in no time at all you'd be SWI-ing and on your own 2ww I'm sure. :)

School trip today so not too much time for symptom-spotting. Not long now though.

Where is everyone else?!

nenehooo · 11/01/2012 21:12

Haha to poking your boobs... I was doing that all last week to see if AF was on the way - they're usually really sore the week before.
The good news is, AF is here! Hurrah! I was snowboarding/flying back from the Alps, drinking copious amounts of alcohol AND trying to fight off cold/flu symptoms around the time I would usually OV. Do you think this could have had an effect?! Hmm Whoops!
And now I'm back to school with the threat of OFSTED looming large as well as all the usual stresses and strains of school life. Ah well, I have a yoga book. Hope your boobs get sore and your temps go back up and the rest of the 2WW flies by Smile

notthehippopotamus · 10/01/2012 21:41

Aw! Sorry about your waiting nenehoo - how frustrating! Were you stressed out over Christmas or ill or anything that could have delayed your OV?

My 2ww is proving uneventful - despite my best efforts to symptom spot there is really nothing out of the ordinary at all. I expect I could make my boobs sore if I poked them enough to see if they were sore, but other than that... Oh, and no sign of temps going triphasic, in fact they seem to be on a downward trend despite AF not due till the weekend. Hmm.

nenehooo · 07/01/2012 14:27

So you're already on the 2ww notthe?! How exciting?! I hate to think what I'll be like when I get to that stage... or IF I ever get to that stage.
My body has decided to start playing silly games now the time has come and I'm still waiting for AF on CD27... my cycles never usually go past CD26, and my temps have been so crazy that fertility friend has only just given me an OV date of CD24. NO WAY!!!!
I can't wait another 2 wks for my AF, I need it now so I can get the SWI started!!! Thought I was doing so well... hope everyone else's journeys are going more smoothly!

notthehippopotamus · 07/01/2012 09:39

Good luck nenehooo! Grin

I'm just waiting - 7dpo - but not getting my hopes up since we had a rather dithery start - more of a dress rehearsal than the real thing I think!

nenehooo · 05/01/2012 19:21

Any news from anyone?! Had my coil taken out today, so it officially starts NOW!!! Scary fun Grin

notthehippopotamus · 01/01/2012 18:59

I think I'm going to tentatively put in an appearance on this thread and join you ladies, if you don't mind. I've been awol from the original waiting thread for a while trying to be a bit less obsessed with ttc (or lack of it).

Well a couple of days ago we were still waiting, but DH had a bit of a change of heart yesterday, and thought we might as well 'see what happened' after all. So there is a small chance we're now actually on our way! Which would be a very exciting start to 2012. If not lucky this month I may be back to waiting again... who knows!

I do feel nervous though - with you there alexeliza. Did you get the peak Zara? Hope your swi-ing paid off. And any news from redrhumba?

Happy New Year to you all anyway, and hope the first few months of 2012 bring lots of BFPs :)

alexeliza · 21/12/2011 21:13

Thanks awayinamanger for the thread! Since leaving the "Waiting to ttc" thread as DH and I have now actually started ttc, I've been lurking but have not signed onto a bus.... Not sure why but maybe a little nervous as it feels like everyone seems to know their cycles and I don't yet have a clue.... I came off the mini pill at the beginning of December, having not had AF for 2 years, so no idea as to what my cycle actually is, or how long it will take to settle down. So impatient..... as it seems is DH.

Zara1984 · 21/12/2011 06:59

Thanks for making the thread awayinamanger! Sounds very promising redrhumba!

Waiting extremely impatiently very patiently to see a peak on my CBFM... Currently CD16. Shagging like mad every day, I need a rest!!!

redrhumba · 21/12/2011 01:49

Angelico · 20/12/2011 23:39

Hello! Anyone joining this board?

redrhumba · 18/12/2011 22:42

Good luck to everyone x
