HaveUrselfAFaithyChristmasBaby · 16/12/2011 18:42

Je suits fatigued.

AriesWithBellsOn · 16/12/2011 18:39

Another link. Apparently women who delay motherhood, as well as being bitter/barren, evil selfish hags, also cost the NHS more!! The fact that an older mother has probably paid far more into the system taking care of her than a 24 year old seems to have escaped the Daily Hate's notice.

It is not nécessaire to speak le franglais. You can just put in le and la at random.

I see that Karen Gillan is leaving Dr Who. I am therefore, selflessly, putting myself forward to help Matt Smith out in his hour of need. I am also willing to help out on set, and therefore save the Beeb some money, by assisting the wardrobe department in undressing Mr Smith Xmas Wink

AriesWithBellsOn · 16/12/2011 14:50

Ok Ok, let's not forget we're still at my office party Will anyone come into the stationery cupboard with me and Dor?

J'aime le Fred francaise mais je detest the stupid fucking FB 'like' button.

As you were, BESHinas.

I like the very "shagger"

Je shagge
tu shagges
il/elle ??? (j'ai oublié)
nous shaggons
vous shaggez
ils/elles ???? (j'ai oublié that too)

However on the plus side, j'ai trouvé the gr button on the pc.

The BESH should learn Franglais for a Fred. Would be tres amusant. je sechse, tu sechses, nous sechsons, vous sechsez, etc. We could come up with such tips as "allez pisser sur un stick".

SantasCave · 16/12/2011 12:10

I got an A in my GCSE French 15 years ago but have sadly hardly spoken it since!

I can just about read some basics but not much else. I keep meaning to take an evening class, or get one of those Rosetta Stone things to refresh myself. I'm sure it would all come back to me after a bit of practise!

AriesWithBellsOn · 16/12/2011 12:00

Oui oui oui! Such a bon idee! And imagine all the amusing autocorrects we'll have!

As soon as I write anything in another language, red squiggly lines appear under all the English words, as though Safari imagines I have switched my mother tongue.

Faith I love the idea of a ttc warning. We never had a sechs fail before ttc, but I guess that was because we only ever did it when we were both in the mood and not because some stupid pish stick said we had to.

Bauble I am in awe of your arty craftyness. I am rubbish at anything like that. I am an international disputes lawyer. Hence all the travel and daft hours (although this year really hasn't been too bad at all - only Paris, Dusseldorf, DC, Dublin and Brussels for work and probably around 5 weeks away from home in total, all thankfully around non-ov time!).

I like draf. I might adopt that. We have taken to saying Greenwhag rather than Greenwich because for some reason our old phones would always autocorrect to this (Greenwhag of course being a far more common word that Greenwich...). Tis funny how these things come about.

tea I think booze-themed Xmas dos are the best. My place is so tight we are having ours in January. Fckers.

The like thing is simply dreadful. Clearly MN don't understand that the thing a lot of people like most about internet forums is the anonymity.

Maybe we should have a french class themed fred next? I am another francophile. I lived there for a year for university and then worked in Sprouts for a while for a French firm. My written and spoken French is now dreadful as I am really out of practice. it used to be really good. In fact my first ever published article was written in French! I couldn't manage that now. I can still read it well though. In fact I have a French novel in my bag right now for the commute.
