Ok ladies, here we go a nice new thread for us to share our fears and smiles on.

Lets keep smiling and positive, and make sure that this is a Happy year for everyone.

Life is far too short to waste, and after such a rough year for most of us last year, lets make 2006 an extra special one x x x

Ohhhhhh, very controversial!! All this talk about wanting 4x4's heheh!!

HC - at least you gave DD a try. ANd you now know she isn't quite ready. Anf there is no panic, she is still young. I think time has made our parents and our PIL memories very fluffy You know. I know that it was the done thing to potty train very early when we weer babies, but there must surely have been many more accidents as a 18month old cannot control its bladder! Its proven! I heard a story from another mother whose MIL toldher to hold her 6 month old over a potty at every nappy change to get her used to it - WTF!!!!!!! That is just rediculous!!

Welcome back Carameli!! I was thinking of you just yesterday as I was having a look at the TTc member stats. I saw your name and started wondering about where you were and how you are!! SPOOKY!! So how are you? Glad you are trying again xx

peepee · 08/01/2006 15:41

Sorry, I couldn't resist! Don't get angry with me.

peepee · 08/01/2006 15:39

Nar nar nar nar nar!!!!!!!!

HumphreysCorner · 08/01/2006 15:33

Meant to say v. about your FRV peepee. I have wanted a 4x4 since year dot! I will have one DH wants an X-Trail but it hasn't got a spare wheel on the back and that is an absolute must for me. ((xx))

HumphreysCorner · 08/01/2006 15:25

She is 2 1/2 Carameli. TBH I don't think she is ready but you know what MIL's are like pressurising you. I do not believe DH & SIL were dry before 1 1/2. Personally I think MIL has given DD a phobia because she has been saying urrgh-dirty nappies to her for ages until I had words. I haven't got anything done this weekend as I have been watching her like a hawk but still couldn't get her to the potty on time. Good luck when you try. There is still another size of Pampers to go yet so still time! ((xx))

Carameli · 08/01/2006 15:00

HC, good luck with potty training. I have started to read up on it myself for dd( now 2 1/4) although in no rush at all to start it to be honest. I dread having to run to store loos etc etc.
How old is your dd?

peepee · 08/01/2006 14:56

I have a new Honda FRV. Its a dream to drive. seats 6, 6 gears 2ltr. Oh, it's so nice to drive so much better than my old car which was a renault Scenic.

Keep looking HC you might find a dealer who'll give u more for your car elsewhere. Have u checked out what the value of your car should be. Ours should have been worth as part xchange £3500. We got £3350 for it. There was loads wrong with it though. Scratches etc... It even had a bit gouged out of the door where a Wild pony on Dartmouth had tried to rip apart the window frame to get to our picnic which was in the car along with us!!! Wasn't funny at the time I was pooping myself. They are vicious things!

Carameli · 08/01/2006 14:48

I have to admit that is one area I have alwasy been fairly lucky in. Have put on alittle weight over the festive season but hoping it will go if I cut out those lovely sweet things I have eaten over the past month.
But today is a treat hehehehe

HumphreysCorner · 08/01/2006 14:45

Hello ladies

Good to see you back Carameli-good luck TTC hun ((xx))

mygirl-I would have been terrified-I go white and weak at the knees if a customer complains at work. I cannot deal with confrontation of any kind. DH would probably have tried to 'sort him out' being as though he has Mafia tendancies! He won't be able to trace you so try not to worry. ((xx))

How is everyone else apart from peepee's extra loud sha**ing-lol!

Well, I have had it with potty training as I will commit murder if I carry on with it. We had to go out yesterday afternoon so put a nappy on. Immediately DD did a poo and loads of wees. Today, not one wee has ended up in the potty and eventually she stopped saying when she had done one so have put a nappy on so she can play round the house. Will try again in a few weeks I think.

Went to look at my dream car yesterday-a Suzuki Grand Vitara but he was only willing to give us £2000 for our Astra so with what we owe on Credit Cards I won't be having one this year .

DD having a nap so think I'll light the fire and have a little sit down. Forgot to get this turkey joint out to defrost last night so could be having tea at midnight-lol!

Love to all.

xxx

You must be the only person on here not on a diet.

Carameli · 08/01/2006 14:32

no not caught up on this thread at all yet. Has been a hectic Chrismtas and New Year, but great fun with my dd(now 2 1/4).
Out with her daddy this morning visiting MIL, back soon so I may vanish to eat soon.
Have had a lovely peaceful morning, reading the newspapers, drinking coffee and eating pain au chocs.

peepee · 08/01/2006 14:28

I don't like the wee in pot ones. I use midstream ones. Find them alot easier and less fidgety.

peepee · 08/01/2006 14:26

How have you been Carameli?
Glad to hear you are up to TTC again

Have you caught up on the thread? Loads has been happening.

Carameli · 08/01/2006 14:26

lots of luck to us all!!!

peepee, can I just ask, have you found the ones youu can buy in bundles are jsut as good as the clearblue ones.
Have you got the ones you dip in, or the midstream ones. I have only used clearblue types before but used to weeing in pots when preg with dd, so doesn't bother me. Just wondered.

thnaks peepee, will have a look at that site.

peepee · 08/01/2006 14:17

Welcome back

I have purchased some tests online. I have to do about four tests a month cos I need treatment if I get pregnant. I got a box of 20 for about £24.00. www.accessdiagnostics.com. They deliver within 48hrs and everything is despatched discretly. I can't remeber the name of the one that I got. Will check the box at home and email you later.

Carameli · 08/01/2006 13:52

hello all and hope you are having a lovely new year and thnking lots of positive thoughts for this year

I had a m/c back in Sept and had wonderful support from this site but have been away for a while when my dearest laptop crashed, but back online again.
Feel like a clever as I got around to reformatting the hard drive and reinstalling windows thank God I had a backup cd of all my docs etc. (My dh made me to it a few months ago)
The only time I have been grateful for him nagging me into doing something

we are trying again. Has anyone bought pregnancy tests online. I have only ever used the clearblue ones before, but they cedrtainly aren't cheap so I wondered if the ones you can get online are as reliable or not.
Are they just as easy to use as the clearblue type ones?

peepee · 08/01/2006 13:49

Mygirl don't worry. Easier said than done, I know. Your local force is West Mercia. Unfortunatley, this is not classed as a priority crime therefore they will take their time calling etc. I know it doesn't help you and you are probably fuming now you know this.Sorry. Road rage is generally a heat of the moment thing. It would be extremely hard for him to find out your address etc from your car registration. He would need to have access to DVLA or the police national computer. To obtain the info, he would have to go thru loadsa checks. He's just a tosser who has nothing better to do with his time.

Well done with the diet.
