Oh wow congratulations harmony!!

Thanks for all your post coital positions advice ladies. Am currently lying in bed with a pillow wedged under my bum after a quickie as DH has had to go out for a Christmas do which he won't be back one from until the ealy hours if I know him. Always has to be the last one standing!

MrsC that's so funny your husband saying "do you think we made the baby?" My DH is really excited about the egg appearing on CBFM. As he said goodbye to me earlier he said "I love you. And The Egg" He also keeps humming very enthusiastically. Crazy fool.

Squirrel the moon cup sounds like a good idea - may get one next month if I have no luck this month.

hunny I'm not sure about cervix positions but I guess the hospital test could have been wrong if it was weaker urine and not fmu? I hope you've had no more pains?

xxhunnyxx · 14/12/2011 15:28

Lol at the images of people with legs n bums in the air, I'm sure DP will laugh n think I've lost the plot if I did that

AF due today but no sign as yet. I'm wondering whether A&E's test would have really given a BFP at about 12dpo and with weak wee (looked like water)???

Sorry I've forgotten all the stuff since I was TTC #1, I forgot whether cervix is high or low before AF arrives? Mine is very high today

TheNewMrsC · 14/12/2011 14:57

Lol @ whysoserious !! I prefer putting my feet flat on the bed and raising my hips up . I feel that works best to keep it all in there and it also feels like it creates a clear path for the little swimmers . I think the path thing may possibly be all in my head haha but it makes me feel better haha. DH keeps coming out with the "think we made a baby this time?" carry on which doesn't help with my impatience !!

Aw well 11 sleeps to go Grin

welcome newbiesSmile

Why I also lie with my legs up in the air for about 10 mins I did this when ttc the other dc.

AF has finally gone but dh is working nights until the weekend so SWI will have to wait.

Lexie1970 · 14/12/2011 12:45

Shall I jump on board - oh what the heck let's be daring - hello Squirrell

About me - aged 41, lucky to have DS aged 4.9 (had his nativity last night it was so sweet), hadd MMC and ERPC last September and have been sort of trying since then really but had totally nutty cycles that ranged from 19 days to silly lengths. On my 3rd cycle off BBT and on 1st of CBFM. Reckon I didn't ov last month but chart and monitor concur that round about CD 15 things were looking good but results seem too textbook after previous erratic cycles - will shall see as DTD around optimum times......

Couldn't tell you when next period is due could be tomorrow or just before Crimbo but at least I will have vague idea of LP

So if I add the update....

Whysoserious (31) TTC#1 cycle 4 (3rd using CBFM) AF due 27th Dec

Welcome Harmony. sorry to hear about your MC - fingers crossed for you this month!

Whysoserious - I have been using a mooncup for this purpose! if you search Mumsnet for mooncup and TTC you should be able to find all the info you need. Basically its a silicone cup the size of a shot glass which holds the stuff in there! It is designed for AF, but I use it for both purposes.

Don't all look at me funny now! Blush

harmonyb23 · 14/12/2011 11:52

Hello everyone, may I join you?! I have been TTC since July 2011. I was breastfeeding until the beginning of October and think this was what was stopping me from conceiving.

Last month I had an early miscarriage and I am not sure if my cycle has started up properly yet. If you count from when I had the miscarriage then I would be 4 days late for AF.

I am not sure whether to test or not as I don't think I could take it if the result was negative. Anyone else waiting to test?

Whysoserious · 14/12/2011 11:02

Woooooo! Got a peak on my CBFM today. Have been doing every other day up until now so the every day BDing starts now!

Ladies I have a rather embarrassing question - how to you manage to keep all the, err, stuff inside you after BDing? I've tried legs in the air, pillow under bum etc but it all seems to just drip out. Ooh I've gone all red now with embarrassment Blush It doesn't help that I've got a nasty cough at the moment so as soon as I cough... Well you can guess the rest Blush

Well that's it, dignity is all gone!

Oh my hunny so glad you went to A&E better safe than sorry !!
Welcome new girlies seems you have jumped on the luckiest ttc thread about !! I'm on 2ww now so hopefully this will be a lucky thread for me too !!
zara you sound like me when I was on cycle 1 ! But now I feel a lot more relaxed especially after last month I went a bit nus when af came so had to have a stern word with myself !!

Best advice I can give you is assume af is coming - dont assume they are not !

Anyone testing this week ? Smile

Zara1984 · 13/12/2011 18:07

Welcome gently! Sorry to hear of the illness and bereavement you've been through since 2009. Onwards and upwards though - with lots of SWI!

Zara1984 · 13/12/2011 18:06

Errrrrr or you can be a complete loon and control freak like me hunny and use it from the very first cycle .... ie like me.... this being my first cycle... Blush Blush Blush

xxhunnyxx · 13/12/2011 15:56

Ah right, I see now. Yes CBFM looks good, would quite fancy one, mainly because I'm nosey and would like to know EXACTLY what is going on with my body. However, it's early days for us yet so we'll see how we get on first.

gentlyfalling · 13/12/2011 15:37

Hi ladies Smile

Mind if I hop on? Been lurking here for ages, but thought I'd take the plunge and actually join in this month Blush. DH and I have been TTC since April 2009, but quite a few things have happened (illness, bereavement) that means we've not been consistently 'trying' iyswim?

Anyway, determined to properly swi every darn month now Wink. Don't think we've got too much hope this month but you never know Grin.

My stats: gentlyfalling (27) TTC#1 cycle 32 (technically) AF Due 16/17 Dec

Zara1984 · 13/12/2011 14:46

Ah sorry - CBFM = Clearblue Fertility Monitor. www.amazon.co.uk/Clearblue-81104584-Fertility-Monitor/dp/B0012PB8EO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1323787580&sr=8-1

xxhunnyxx · 13/12/2011 13:52

Sorry can I just ask what CBMF is?

Zara1984 · 13/12/2011 13:44

Piggyboo sorry to hear about AF :( and same goes for xxhunnyxx but you absolutely did the right thing calling NHS Direct!

Am well into the swing of things on this first TTC cycle! Got very excited on Sunday having to POAS for the CBFM first time (very lame, I know). We are SWI every second day, and will get jiggy every day on high & peak days. DH says he reckons he needs 24 hours at least between shags to "build up supplies". Waiting waiting waiting to see that first high though, and torturing myself trying to figure out what the chances of us conceiving this month (if CBFM claims to improve chances of conception by 89%....). Blush

Ordered a bunch of those NHS cheapie HPTs on ebay... but asked DH to hide them until Saturday 7 Jan (2 days past when AF is due) because I know I am going to go bonkers. Already counting that only 25 sleeps until I get to test, unless AF gets me first.

Fingers crossed for all who are on their 2ww right now! :)

xxhunnyxx · 13/12/2011 09:17

Gosh I had a bit of a fright last night. I got severe stabbing pains on one side of my stomach, I was in agony and hardly able to move.
Spoke to NHS Direct and when I said that I could be pregnant she told me to go straight to A&E as it could be an ectopic pregnancy.
Anyway to cut a long story short I'm absolutely fine and I'm not pregnant, they did one of their pregnancy tests which are supposedly very sensitive and it was negative.
But at least I'm OK, I was so scared I was gonna lose a tube, I was with my friend when she collapsed with a perforated fallopian tube and I've always had a fear of it ever since.
So now it's just a case of waiting for AF to arrive Sad

redrhumba · 13/12/2011 06:25

piggyboo sorry af got you.
mrsmellow and Lauram20 fc for you.
I'm due around the weekend but i'm not holding out much hope as this is our first month and took longer last time x

cherrypiew3 · 12/12/2011 22:31

Piggyboo sorry AF got you

AF has been horrible this month it is the worst AF I have had for a while and I really wish she would just go now and leave me to get on with TTC.

Good luck to all you ladies that are still waiting.

Spuddybean · 12/12/2011 21:54

hello all. i am upright for a moment, just long enough to congratulate all of those with bfp's!

I am hoping the lucky thread will rub off on me.
