Hi ladies, fantastic news today all round!
Sorry about your scare this morning brownie - I fell down the stairs with quite a bang whist pregnant with DD and all was well. I'm sure the little bean is well protected in there!

Sorry I've not been around- I've been keeping away from the internet as I find myself obsessed with trying to find info on TTC etc etc. It really has been taking over my life and it's all I ever seem to think about! Please send me a BFP soon!

This week I'm stressing (again) about egg laying. I've had a smiley face on OPK everyday since Friday- is this something(else) I should worry about? I've been taking temps since Friday and had a small rise Sat/Sun/Mon but this morning it's low again- haven't started taking the pred yet as I'm just not sure.

ArgghhhhhConfused

Stogan · 29/11/2011 20:55

No probs comedy, I no what phones r like mines the same !! Wink

iggi999 · 29/11/2011 20:13

Scooter I often have soreness after having a scan.

Arianrhod · 29/11/2011 19:57

Ok ladies, thanks - I'll leave it a while longer then will see what my GP thinks. Maybe once I get past the dreaded 9.4 weeks (see the uncharacteristic optimism there? Wish I actually felt it!) then I'll see about forms. I don't care about the booking-in, it's that 12 week scan that bothers me. Mind you, gotta get that far first. Not something to concern myself with right now!

batteryhen · 29/11/2011 19:28

Oh ....lovely news :) And the whole thread can breathe out :) xx

Comedyworks · 29/11/2011 19:00

Sorry keep writing slogan and not stogan - my spellchecker keeps kicking in!

Comedyworks · 29/11/2011 18:59

Good news slogan!

ari I booked in an appt for ten weeks when I was about eight weeks figuring I could always cancel. Saw the midwife at about 10+2 and still had nuchal test on time at almost spot on 12 weeks. They then organised the 20 week scan etc. Might be worth just getting a date booked in?

scooterchaser · 29/11/2011 18:45

stogan forgot to say, great news about your low OC score, that must be a relief.

scooterchaser · 29/11/2011 18:41

Anyone had soreness and more bleeding following a scan? They really had a good root around (external at least) to see if they could see the bleeding, there was nothing conclusive though. Bleeding had practically stopped this morning but back again now and have a very achy tummy, could the scan have agitated things, anyone had the same?

Really wanted to stay positive today but this rollercoaster does a very good job of diving just after a high doesn't it.

ari on the booking thing, agree with iggi that you probably want to avoid the expense of a 12 week scan if you can. I am still 'unbooked' as it were at 9+2 but obviously in my situation just waiting to see how things pan out now. If this week had been problem-free I would have made it official because I've been told to get on with it, such a baby boom round here they are doing the booking appointments in groups! Then again, I also know lots of people who waited til 10weeks and still managed to get their nuchal at the right time. I was told the rule of thumb for booking appointments is wait until you have missed your second period. Hopefully the midwife will be understanding if you need to leave it a little later than usual though (I am certainly counting on that being the case for me). There must be ways of hurrying the hospital system when they need to. What does your GP think about it? Maybe you can just get the scan form done and sent in and leave the rest til later?

Stogan · 29/11/2011 18:26

Fab idea comedy I like the idea of our kids discussing what old tea wives we all are lol !!!

What amazing news scooter soooooo happy for you YEY !!!! xxx

Well I have good news too, got my OC results (not bad considering they said Friday, guess the arsey phone call DH gave them sped the process up !!) and my level is 2 and apparently it needs to be 14 before they are concerned so my skin obviously just can't take my feet swelling so much !!!

What a fab day of news, long may it continue for us ladies ey !!!GrinGrinGrin

Comedyworks · 29/11/2011 18:17

Great to log on tonight and read all the good news (although not ferocious dogs!) - brilliant news scooter and free!

... I'm thinking we should archive this thread and show it to this 'batch' of babies that we are producing so they can meet up in about eighteen years time! ... show them how wanted they all were and remind ourselves if the teenage years are proving tricky!! X

iggi999 · 29/11/2011 17:51

Brilliant news Scooter :)

Ari I wouldn't advise it. Here (your area might obviously be different) I was given a phone no to contact midwifes on. Booking in was at 10 weeks. The dating scan at 12 included the NT measurement, but they also did a blood test that gives extra information on the same topic (I am still awaiting my results for that). I imagine if you got dr S to replicate all that it would cost big bucks.

cherrycheeks · 29/11/2011 16:11

So happy for you scooter That's great news! :) :) :)

ChoccyPud · 29/11/2011 16:01

Yay scooter!!! Fab news. Let's hope this week proves to be a good one all round... We certainly deserve some good news all of us :)

Did just get rather emotional at brownie's post tho wimp that I am.

Arianrhod · 29/11/2011 15:45

Quick question for you up-duffed ladies - at what point did you tell your GP about your pregnancy (and so start the ball rolling for your local hospital/midwife arranging booking-in, 12 week scan, etc)? I've always previously told my GP more or less as soon as I was positive I was pg, since my local hospital (about which you've heard me rant on more than one occasion) seems to take forever to process forms and I was concerned about not having the 12 week scan date through in time.

This time however, although my GP obviously knows about my pregnancy since she's approved the hCG scans, I haven't officially told her, filled in no forms, and I really don't want to either - it almost feels like jinxing things, I sort of don't want to make it official until I know whether or not this pregnancy gets past the previous MC points of 9.4 weeks. I know that might sound daft, and I am a little worried that if I do that I'm not giving my hospital enough time to organise things, but that's how I feel. Actually I wondered, since I'll be seeing Mr S for a scan IF this baby gets that far around the 12-week mark (yes?), can he do the nuchal fold test, does anyone know? Saves me having to worry about anything to do with my local hospital for a while, then.

digitalgirl · 29/11/2011 15:40

scooter omg that really is wonderful news!!! Am so relieved for you! Grin A good day today, indeed. I imagine the migraine and night sweats were stress-induced. Please take it easy for the rest of the week.

brownie hope you're feeling better after your scare this morning.

Cheerfulcharlie · 29/11/2011 15:40

Aww Scooter so relieved for you and Free - great news. It's a good news day at last!

duggs1976 · 29/11/2011 15:28

Fantastic!! Fantastic heartbeats so early on from you both. Amazing... GrinGrinGrin

snoopygirl · 29/11/2011 14:49

Great news scooter so happy for you x

ColeyOz · 29/11/2011 14:38

Good news scooter - deep breaths! I'm so relieved for you.

BrownieGecko · 29/11/2011 14:29

Scooter that is great news, you must feel relieved. I know it is only temporary but we have to cling onto those moments and hope they continue. Did they see a haematoma when they scanned you?

Thanks ladies for the words of comfort regarding my tumble this morning, am trying not to mental about it.

Choccy I did indeed tell her about us. She was telling me about her journey where she had her son (now 19) after 3 mc's then suffered a further 5 trying for a second. They never discovered the cause, she said the doctors called it "bad luck" if only they would of known about NK back then. It was nice to meet a kindred soul, though sad too. I gave her a big hug and we both cried, making me blub now. Man I am emotional today :)

Waves to everyone else

Havingkittens · 29/11/2011 14:09

Pleased to hear your news Scooter. Take it easy. x

Arianrhod · 29/11/2011 14:05

Oh fabulous news scooter, I'm so very pleased for you!!! Do they know where the bleeding is coming from, could they see?

That's such a relief, I'm delighted you had a good scan!!! This is clearly a much luckier day than yesterday :)

ColeyOz · 29/11/2011 14:02

I wish kittens :) - don't think its a late BFP as had as AF just finished a week ago and was very heavy. Looking for a BFP in 2 weeks though!!

scooterchaser · 29/11/2011 14:01

Hi, deep breath, one baby, one heartbeat. Little bean hanging in there for now. I am not out of the woods yet as still bleeding but for the moment it's a relief. Thanks so much for thinking of me, meant a lot to have everyone rooting for a good outcome xxxx
