Congratulations ponyclub, what a way to see in the new year! Fantastic.

And welcome Beebles, everything crossed for a honeymoon bfp for you.

We've had a wonderful Christmas in the uk with my family, and have done lots of wedding planning while we have the chance. Wedding dress shopping has persuaded me to give ttc a rest for a couple of months - I've seen a dress I love, and whilst I can get away with being 3 or 4 months gone, 6 or 7 months won't work! So dp and I have decided to put baby plans on hold, just for a couple of months.... A bit Sad about it but I know it's sensible!

Beeblebear · 02/01/2012 10:07

Good luck and baby dust to everyone else!

Beeblebear · 02/01/2012 09:11

Oh my, stop the bus Ineed to get on! Standing room only here.

Found this forum yesterday and you all seem lively... I mean lovely. (will figure out the strike through later)

(30) ttc #1 AF due jan 12 so we are in the tww club.
1st month so not really expecting anything but so hard not to get the hopes up.

Married in July, on our honeymoon (conceptimoon) in australia ay the moment. Staying with SIL AND M/DIL but have still managed EOD, so fingers crossed! AF due to arrive the day we fly home so will likely poas that morning. I brought one with me.
this morning are a banana for breakfast and felt ill, so the ss begins. :s

kirrinIsland · 02/01/2012 00:33

Congrats pony that's great news. What a nice start to the new year :)

MinkyMoodles · 01/01/2012 19:17

Congratulations Pony!
What a great New Year present!!
MM xx

Ponyclubmum · 31/12/2011 10:31

I POAS this morning and it was a BFP!! Hooray! No champagne for me tonight (well maybe just a small one!)!
I didn't think we had a chance this month as DH has been away with work and I thought it was at the critical time, but I checked the ovulation calculator and it was actually just before he went. Also, I've had such a bad cough for the last 2 months I'm surprised I didn't cough everything out each time we dtd!
Xmas Grin

Secret will you still be checking the board and the fb group?

Can I be nosey and ask, by taking a break do you mean going back on the pill? Or letting nature take its course but just not thinking about it?

I'm 9 or 10 DPO and still haven't had what could be reliably mistaken for a symptom since we first started bloody trying! I'm taking my temp and opk'ing as I find it less stressful to know exactly when my fertile days are, but I'm not really stressing. I certainly haven't cut out drinking or changed my lifestyle, and I don't POAS at all and won't unless AF is very late....

So I'm trying to remain sane..... trying!

itsmekatielou · 23/12/2011 08:37

Congrats frilly, but I'm officially out. AF came bang on cue. I'm so disappointed. Gotta save up my pennies for the next time now. This thing isn't cheap!

difficulttimes · 22/12/2011 22:31

Congrats
FrillyKnickers.

0FrillyKnickers0 · 22/12/2011 08:01

Hey all! Sorry I've not been on for so long, but I didn't want to obsess because I've heard it stops you getting pg. Anyway, it must've worked because I just got my BFP! Totally not expecting it!! GrinGrin How are you all? X

Ponyclubmum · 21/12/2011 20:12

Thanks for explaining homeaway, I'll save that info for a couple of months time when I'm so sick of AF turning up every month that I start getting technical. At the moment it just makes my head hurt! We've only been trying for 5 months so we're still pretty casual about it.

homeaway · 21/12/2011 18:29

Pony, the only way for sure to know how long your lp is is to chart your temperature every morning before you get out of bed and do anything. It has to be taken at the same time. To get the most accurate results you have to have a basal thermometer which goes to two decimal places and take your temperature internally. Your lp does not normally vary by more than a day or so but your preovulation phase (cant remember the technical term ) can vary greatly from cycle to cycle . Lots of things can influence the preovulation phase like stress, sickness etc.. For example if you ovulate on day 18 of your cycle and have a lp of 12 days you would get af on day 30 but if you ovulated on day 14 you would have a 26 day cycle with a lp of 12 days.Your temperature preovulation is lower and then rises once ovulation has occured. Lots of people think that you ovulate on day 14 but that is sometimes not the case. Ovulation tests only give you the heads up that your body is getting ready to ovulate but do not confirm ovulation only a scan or temperature shift can confirm that. The ovusoft website has charts that you can look at and gives a lot of info. Sorry for the epic reply but thought the info might be useful to somebody.

TopC · 21/12/2011 18:07

Hi ladies - it appears we've all been taken by the witch this month. ah well, it's obviously mother nature letting us all know we should darn well have a drink this Christmas.

I shall be spending New Years' SWI for britain, well it's one way to see the new year in with a bang (sorry couldn't help myself!)

Throwingcaution please don't take offence at secret I'm sure she meant no harm and you're very welcome here. I had my first baby at 25 after a mad fling with a man who then left me pregnant and bringing up baby alone and now I'm in a stable relationship with a very loving man and we want a child of their own. Everyone has their own stories to tell and am sure we're not all living the 'perfect' life of married/2.4 children but all love the kids we have/have to come dearly and in that way we're all the same.

Now let's all have a drink. yay
