OP posts:
PopcornMouse · 25/11/2011 13:09

Yay, bean! :o

I admire your restraint. I was tempted to poas this morning, despite knowing it would do absolutely no good as I am only 8dpo :o

Munkiii · 25/11/2011 13:07

Oh I am so glad you are back Bean

I am arranging a mass delivery of agreeable pee sticks for all of you tomorrow Grin

beangrower · 25/11/2011 13:06

Hi-Bye Ninja and Cupcakes - have a good Friday afternoon and weekend. Smile

beangrower · 25/11/2011 13:04

Btw - I was also threatening asking DS about having SA done too. It's possible that the wrigglers might have had a bit of a wake-up call. Grin

But I'll have to wait and see... more WAITING.... grrr.

CupcakesAndCocktails · 25/11/2011 13:00

Chants Pee Pee Pee at Sweetie, Beedle and Bean on a stick please not on the floor Grin

Welcome back Bean we missed you Smile

Right I'm off to uni, check in with you lovely ladies later

beangrower · 25/11/2011 13:00

Hi Beedle and Sweetie - lovely to speak to you again.

Sweetie very excited for you - PWYF (pee where you fancy) tomorrow then? GOOD LUCK - brooking hard. Beedle too. Fx.

My cycle is usually 25-28 days. This month I got a smiley face at cd12 so am thinking I ovulated on cd13 so expected AF Weds eve/Thurs am. I am so superstitious though! I think I will wait to cd32 before I test as I have never in my life had a cycle beyond 31 days. I think I tested about cd32 when I got a BFP for DS so will stick with the winning number. Smile (Last month, convinced I was preggo, as usual, I tested on cd28 and then AF arrived an hour later, cackling and whooping like nobody's biz - that showed me.)

There was lots of SWI this month (plus my 40th birthday and they say life begins at 40... maybe a little beanie life, eh?) plus I asked the moon nicely and I have seen so many pairs of magpies, two for joy.... Grin I really am a witch. Other than that the acupuncture and herbs might have kicked in, plus the gallons of healthy vits, oily fish, greens etc that I've been knocking back for nearly a year.

Or I am on some weird cycle and about to enter the menopause... Sad Still. Being on this thread makes me realise even more how lucky I am to have DS and that's been a real help to me.

NinjaChipmunk · 25/11/2011 12:56

blimey step away from this thread for a moment and you could miss so much! Looking forward to the confirmations on the PIAR tomorrow. Good luck my lovelies! Need to go off and have a catch up. You lot move so quickly.

BeedleTheBard · 25/11/2011 12:55

I was going to wait until Sunday, when I'll be 14 dpo, but don't let me stop you tomorrow Grin

SweetieDoesIt · 25/11/2011 12:45

Yippee Bean is back Grin so good to hear from you. Hope you are feeling ok. All sounds very good. How long is you normal LP?

Are you joining me in POAS/PIAR tomorrow?

Stasi Christmas will be lovely with little ones around, I will be "borrowing" my brothers kids too.

BeedleTheBard · 25/11/2011 12:44

16 dpo ??? definate ramekin time bean Grin

beangrower · 25/11/2011 12:41

Can't believe I missed two BFPs - Generic and Real? So, so chuffed for you both and wishing you the very best now it's all kicked off! Such marvellous news.

Thanks for sending out the search party btw. I'm quite moved Blush.

Glad to be back. xxx

beangrower · 25/11/2011 12:30

Gin AND a Grin

beangrower · 25/11/2011 12:29

Hello my lovely brooker friends

Sorry - I went a bit AWOL there. Not quite sure what happened but the 2WW was clearly getting to me. I tried to immerse myself in work but nah.

Anyway, I'm back and dying to catch up with you all BUT my-oh-my how will I ever read all those messages on this thread?! There's been tests and job interviews and goodness only knows what OTIS has been up to...

The big news (well, for me) is that I am 16dpo/cd29... oooh! Daren't POAS or grab a ramekin (depending on my mood) as am terrifying of jinxing things. Have been there done that.

All I can say is that in general there are less AF/BFP symptoms than in previous months...

Time to bake a massive treacly ginger cake I think. Anyone fond of the old ginger loaf round here (sounds pervy - sorry, not intended). Gin

ps aren't we about to get chucked off this thread?

Stasi · 25/11/2011 12:26

Afternoon everyone. Not much to report here, except I found out last night I will have a full house this Christmas too. Only 7 people in a 2 bedroom house! It will be good to have my nephew visiting though, Christmas is better with kids around, and as we don't have our own yet, I have to borrow :) Now I just need to get doing all the Christmas shopping!

Popcorn I was given a blood test for rubella, but was never told the result. Maybe they did a test while you weren't looking?

Whim good luck on your viva, I'm sure you'll ace it no problem.

Imps grats on the inevitable new job and BFP. Shame you have to wait to confirm :)

Solars I'd suggest DTD tonight, unless you're sure you can fit it in in the morning. Leaving these things till the last minute tends not to be a good idea. You could always go for both? :)

Beedle and Sweetie POAS tomorrow?

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 25/11/2011 10:53

Popcorn that sucks about the rubella! So annoying your TWO GPs didn't mention it months ago. I also told my GP several months in advance that I was intending to start ttc, and for various reasons in the same conv we discussed the fact that I've never had chicken pox, but he never once offered me the vaccination! At the time I didn't even know one existed. Luckily in the end it turned out I have natural immunity, but I didn't find that out until the blood tests at the 10 week booking in appointment. By then I had already missed the christening of a close friend's son because he was only just getting over chicken pox at the time and I was worried I wouldn't be immune. So frustrating!

Imps the pg is going really well so far, thanks for asking. I've been feeling soooooooooo much better since 14 weeks (I'm 18 weeks tomorrow). I can't seem to get any sleep at the moment, but that's small fry compared to being able to hold down food again! Just counting down the days to my 21 week scan on xmas week Grin

Still No Brooking for Whim!

PopcornMouse · 25/11/2011 10:37

Beedle lower back pain is a big early pg symptom! You temps will be back up tomorrow, I'm sure :o

PopcornMouse · 25/11/2011 10:36

Ooo I saw We Will Rock You a couple of years ago too, cupcakes - it was such a cheesefest.

Not nearly as good as Marti Pellow in Jekyll and Hyde, which was hilarious. The theatre was full of Women of a Certain Age visibly drooling over dear Marti as he theatrically gyrated over a prostitute shortly before butchering her and bursting into song. DH and I, meanwhile, were almost wetting ourselves with laughter :o

BeedleTheBard · 25/11/2011 10:34

imps glad the interview went well - I'm brooking no argument that you'll get the job

cupcakes spot on the earlobe is a clear sign of pregnancy Grin

all my preggo symptons are disappearing Sad, my temps were down a bit this morning, my boobs aren't nearly as sore. But I do have an achey lower back and this morning I coughed so much I vomited a tiny bit (does that count?) (pointlessly hopeful emoticon)

popcorn that's really rubbish that the doctors didn't mention rubella - I am now hoping that the jab I had a few aarrgh 25 years ago is still working

PopcornMouse · 25/11/2011 10:33

What's more, I even saw a third GP, alongside my DH, about 2 years ago and discussed we wanted to ttc in a year or so, and still no mention of rubella!

CupcakesAndCocktails · 25/11/2011 10:19

Good luck for today Whim, I'm sure you will be great. I have a very slight understanding of the stress involved as for my undergraduate degree I had a viva for my dissertation. When it was over I got so drunk I vomited all down my friend ahhh to be 21 again amazingly she is still a close friend Grin

Imps so glad the interview went well, I'm sure they will have loved you. Cant wait for the BFP/new job double whammy news!

Sweet get PIAR and confirm the bleeding obvious ok?!

Pop that's so pants over the rubella. I can't imagine thinking you might have to stop rat smacking for a while because of it. I would am very annoyed at your Dr as they should have informed you of that when you went about your meds.

Solars it's a tricky one, if you can fit it in I would do it tonight. Mainly cos I find if I put off DTD to time it better, something comes up and we don't manage it anyway!

I've forgotten who said they are seeing "We will rock you"? I saw it a few years ago, was awesome! I've got a presentation this afternoon then I'm off work all weekend. Am very excited, we are off to Christmas markets tonight and a cheese and wine tasting evening tomorrow.

Btw I've got a spot on my ear lobe! I'm so obviously up the duff. Seriously who gets a spot on their ear?! I tried googling it to see if it's a sign of pregnancy but found nothing. Only 9dpo going slowly mad

Solars · 25/11/2011 09:48

Moooorning!

Popcorn re: the rubella, about 6 months before we started to ttc I went for my routine pill check at our gps and I mentioned to the nurse that we were going to be ttcing in about 6 months so she suggested taking a blood sample to make sure I was immune to rubella and if not that I would need the jab and couldn't start ttc until 3 months after! Your gps should have mentioned it, how frustrating for you! And by the way in my previous employment I would take seminars all the time - I loved it!!

Imps how lovely to get a new job and find you are updiffed in 2 weeks time, looking forward to the obvious confirmation!

Good luck with the viva Whimsi

Our plans for the weekend are a nieces 3rd birthday party!!

Right, I just need a bit of advice if someone can help, I think I should be ovulating either on sunday or monday, we last dtd on wednesday and was wondering whether we should swi tonight or wait 'til tomorrow morning?? (DH has a bit of a long day today although we may be in a rush tomorrow morning to get to SIL)

PopcornMouse · 25/11/2011 09:20

Do you know what, I'm a bit miffed that I've seen 2 GPs since last Jan and told them I was starting ttc (I had to come off some meds first) and neither of them even mentioned rubella. Hmm

PopcornMouse · 25/11/2011 09:19

Imps, Musical & Sweetie - oh noes! Yes, I'm sure I can have it if I want to, but you have to take a two month break (some websites are saying three ) from ttc afterwards . not that it would have made a difference, really, being that I've spent 10 cycles without a sniff of a bfp anyway Hmm

I don't know about the allergy, I'd guess they'd say it was a baby thing and I'd probably be fine as an adult? Poo. I think I will carry on as I am, and then when I see my GP in January I can always have it then, and have a break from ttc while I wait for a referral appointment but of course this is all theoretical because I am sooo pg

Imps glad the seminar and interview went well! What was the seminar on? I am always mightily impressed by anyone that has the confidence to speak to a room full of colleagues :) And good luck with the egg popping today ? that teensy egg-popping-delay makes yesterday's SWI perfectly timed and you are now officially upduffed :o

Nothing to report, here. Except that last night I had a barely restrainable craving for gherkins covered in melted fake-cheese slices, but I am only 8DPO so I know it was just me being a fruitcake Blush

This weekend I'm seeing my sister, and DH is working late shifts for the whole thing so I'll be annoying the cats and catching up on work

I wonder if far is enjoying India? Mmmm curry...

Munkiii · 25/11/2011 09:09

Good luck today Whim

Still brooking hard here!

SweetieDoesIt · 25/11/2011 08:35

Fingers crossed for the double whammy of good news coming your way Imps

Nothing much to report here, feeling a bit ratty and low stomach cramps. Will POAS tomorrow just to confirm what we already know Hmm who am I kidding??

So pleased it is almost weekend too, off to see We Will Rock You this evening with DH. Am very excited. Then tomorrow meeting up with friends for a boozy pre Christmas lunch. Am very very excited about that too. Then Sunday is the day of rest recovery.Grin
