We are all jolly well going to smack the rat this month and grow a baby and we'll brook no argument. And probably eat some cake too.

Ninja I really like the look of your blender especially the masher attachment too - GET IT, GET IT! I have a Dualit one bought many moons ago, which is great apart from the fact that the blender attachment can be a bit temperamental now and I don't use the mini chopper part as I still have a very old one that I bought when I went to uni yes I cooked whilst at uni Blush It was really cheap and still works 20 years on!! I feel a 'they don't make them like they used to' comment coming on...

Imps oh no!! Are you still resigning? Can you take a voluntary redundancy? I take it you'll have a long notice period, how annoying!

Popcorn glad you got to relax last night and well done on your seduction technique

Very impressed Cupcakes I have high hopes for you this month and you too Generic, visualising should help get that bfp! My reflexologist used to tell me to put my hand on tummy and visualise...

Maybe it seems way to early to even say the words circadian rhythm!

Hope everyone is well x

CupcakesAndCocktails · 17/11/2011 10:46

Good rat smacking Popcorn Grin I think we will be due our BFPs together now?!

I totally smacked that rat on Tuesday after my positive OPK. Am still keeping up the loving for a bit just in case. We had managed to dtd 3 days out of 5 in the run up too so I'm very hopeful this month.

Imps sorry you didn't get selected for redundancy Sad just keep focusing on escaping! I know how pants it is when work is unbearable. I'm totally hating my job this past few weeks. Winter is always really busy at my work. We are so short staffed it's awful.

Maybe welcome back! Glad to hear little Otis is keeping you on your toes. I'm cuddling my doggy right now. Im going to try to put some photos of her on my profile.

Generic I'm loving the fantasies. I keep imagining a early scan photo for Christmas too! I'm also a little jealous of the potty training conversation Blush I WANT A BABY!!!

farfallarocks · 17/11/2011 10:35

Oh imps sorry you were not selected, can you leave anyway and join your former boss? I can imagine it creates a terrible atmosphere especially after your run ins with the partners!!

popcorn, excellent seduction techniquesm, well done!
jazzy what is this fertiltiy aid of which you speak? Is it a vitamin??
generic sounds very promising indeed, are you holding off on testing like a good girl?

beangrower · 17/11/2011 09:30

Hi Generic - feeling just like you. Bit crampy. But still 6 days until AF due. Hate these feelings. Nice fantasy though. (Thanks - re pics Smile.) Really got everything crossed that your fantasy will come true.

Loving Maybe's mutt doggles - couldn't live without a doglet around our house though still unimpressed by mouse catching skills, or lack of.

Potty training strikes me with fear. But I do enjoy the look of concentration and mild pleasure when I notice DS laying one down in his nappy. Sorry TMI!

Pop that's excellent news and extremely promising IN DEED. (See what I did there?) Pre-Chrimbo BFP coming up.

GenericDietCola · 17/11/2011 09:16

Aw Bean nice pics!

GenericDietCola · 17/11/2011 09:14

Popcorn excellent seduction, bravo!

Maybe nice to see you back and Otis is v v v cute!

Imps so sorry re redundancy (or lack thereof). When could you start your new job working for your old employer? I hope you manage to sort it out very soon - work stress is not nice.

I listened to Ninja and Biscuits' potty training chat with interest as DD is approaching that stage. Last weekend she did two poos on the potty (who knew I would one day be so excited about such a thing?). May have to find out about these potty training pull ups - presumably they let them feel a bit wet so they become more aware of when they need to go?

I am now 11dpo. I felt a bit crampy and PMT-like yesterday, but as we all know, that could go either way. I allowed myself a brief fantasy this morning about being pregnant and having had an 8 week scan before Christmas - sigh.

Good luck to all approaching testing. Scrambled and Little I hope AF stays away for you two - we are pretty much cycle buddies I think and we are due for another holy trinity of BFPs and I will Brook. No. Argument.

beangrower · 17/11/2011 09:12

Argh not so funny article

beangrower · 17/11/2011 09:09

Can't keep up with you all. Thanks Solars for the funny DP / SA stories. I can just imagine his joy at good results. Rooftops and shouting?

Also laughing at jism in cups. Grin

Here's that [http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/1338278 not so funny article] again. Sorry.

Put the odd pic up of our bean.

beangrower · 17/11/2011 08:52

Not very funny at all.

I'm already on the Lindt 90% lady Brookers. Oh dear.

Imps you never bore

We are looking at circadian rhythms in pain at the moment, which means I get to get up at stupid o clock! Don't worry though, I am taking tomorrow off Wink

The fanjometer is being out on the back burner till at least next cycle. Otis doesn't seem to understand why I can't jump out of bed immediately in the morning and tend to his every need (sounds like DH) do I am waiting until he is a bit more relaxed in the mornings!

Hope you enjoy your bath. The thought of a bath and a glass of red when I get home is all that is keeping me sane today Grin

I also get annoyed with the use of Santa too. And it really bugs me when people right Xmas Blush

PopcornMouse · 17/11/2011 08:20
Imps7 · 17/11/2011 07:26

Morning!

I often get sad at how Father Christmas appears to have become Santa everywhere. Father Christmas is a much nicer name than Santa. Even I call him Santa when I'm not thinking properly and it upsets me. I may start a MN Campaign to get him re-branded as Father Christmas throughout the UK.

Maybe what kind of experiment possibly needs to be done so early in the morning??? Surely nothing is that important?! How are you getting on with your temping these days? The fanjometer still working out for you?

Popcorn what gives with the CM today?? If you're still getting fertile CM, I think there's every chance you're still fertile. Fertility Friend doesn't always pinpoint OV correctly. Keep on shagging!

I'm on day 11 today - still another week until OV - feels like AAAAAGGGGGGGEEEEESSSS since my last 2ww ended. I think we're really going to struggle with the SWI this month - OH is constantly exhausted and I am panicking about work - doesn't make for a good shagging combination.

Right, I'm off to have an early morning bath to try to relax a bit. I fear that I might become very very boring with my work moans for the next 4 months

possiblemaybebaby · 17/11/2011 06:50

Grin at my above mention of Fater Crimbo. That's what getting up at 4 with a temperature will do to you Grin

possiblemaybebaby · 17/11/2011 06:49

Morning all! I am in work super early, as I have a stupid experiment to do. It is of course because I am dedicated and love science.

Ninja lovely. I have a similar one, though I only use it for soup. I am secretly hoping DH Fater Crimbo brings me one of these
www.kitchenaid.co.uk/app.cnt/ka/en_GB/pageid/pgkaproddetail001/catid/7/subcatid/35

Thanks all for the lovely Otis-related comments. He is cute. Especially when asleep.

Biscuits how are you? Loving what you did there, actually the type of joke I would whip out Grin

Imps my lovely How the devil are you?

Solars you definitely need new shoes. We are in Essex remember (well, I am anyway)

Biscuitsandtea · 16/11/2011 22:40

Oooh yes, sorry - I totally derailed things!! I have a similar sort of thing to that - and I quite like it, but mostly use it for blending soups etc or making smoothies. Mine is a Braun one though. I also have one like this or maybe this or something in between Confused and I use that more for chopping etc and have made cakes etc in it too. I find the Braun one I have not much good for cake making etc. although it does have a whisk attachment, but I rarely use a lot of the attachments Blush.

However, for my birthday I just got something a bit like this (although it is silver all over, not almond on top). That's for cake making, but is still in the box as haven't had a chance to get it out!!

NinjaChipmunk · 16/11/2011 22:27

Grin now how about critiqueing the blender I linked to earlier?

Biscuitsandtea · 16/11/2011 22:22

Merci Ninja xx

Here endeth the nappy part of proceedings. Apologies again for such blatant hijacking

NinjaChipmunk · 16/11/2011 22:09

its these biscuits

How long till you think you can escape there? I get the feeling it could be a bide your time and do enough to be able to get a reference from them in the future kind of thing. Are you still meeting with your old boss re the possible new job?

Biscuitsandtea · 16/11/2011 22:03

Hope you come up with some cracking survival techniques xxx

And maybe your dog is The. Cutest. No 'maybe' about it! Ha ha - see what I did there? Huh? Huh?

Lots of love all round

Mwah mwah xxx

Biscuitsandtea · 16/11/2011 22:00

Yes, I'm in no rush to go nappy free at night (I have better thing to be doing in the middle of the night than changing wet bedding!). I read a thing that said its a combination of bladder control (amd a strong enough signal to wake them i they need one), bladder size and some anti-diuretic hormone that they don't produce until some time between about 2 and 6 yrs old. So I'm just hanging on for now!

That link just took me to a Sainsburys online homepage? Are they Sainsbo's own brand pull up type things?

Hope it goes well for you all anyway - and all remains dry in the ninja household. You often hear of kids just deciding they are done with nappies so fingers crosses it works for you!

Imps7 · 16/11/2011 21:59

Hello ladies, just popping in quickly to say "hello" - have been out for the evening and am knackered and want my bed.

Am completely gutted today - I haven't been selected for redundancy :( I don't know how I'm going to survive without the other girl. She is completely delighted and keeps rubbing my face in the fact that in two weeks time she'll no longer be working there. I have pretty thick skin but I really don't know how I'll cope there any longer. Arse to those stupid cretins.

Maybe! That tiny little bundle of fluff is the cutest thing EVER! So lovely to see you again.

Whimsi - new top = most erudite looking person in the room for sure. Enjoy your conference.

Jazzy so glad that the scan went well. Are you starting to believe it yet?

Scrambled, I've karate kicked AF in the bosoms for you (mean, yes, but she deserves it) so she definitely won't turn up.

Right I'm off to bed to think of some survival techniques for the next few months at work.

Night all.

NinjaChipmunk · 16/11/2011 21:55

biscuits he told me on tuesday that he was a big boy now he's 4 and big boys don't wear pull ups so we went and bought some disposable bed mats instead. Personally I don't think he's ready but if he wants to try then fine. Lots of boys take ages to be dry at night and all his friends are still in pull ups, We used these and they've been great. Sainsburys make good nappies in my opinion. Except their eco range, they are crap.

NinjaChipmunk · 16/11/2011 21:49

solars I think men are strange creatures when it comes to sperm and willies and such like. When dp did his sample he was all 'its difficult for me too you know' and i was thinking you just have to jizz in a pot, i've had 4 blood tests and a pelvic ultrasound and an hsg that involved basically 3 other people looking up my fanjo and into my insides and then spending 45 minutes attempting to insert dye in there. I'll take jizzing in a pot over that any day.

Biscuitsandtea · 16/11/2011 21:46

Ninja - can I pick your brains on the night time thing? Sorry it's a bit off topic! DS is trained (ish! Confused) in the day. Well, we're getting there anyway (I hope). But what I wondered was what was your DS wearing at night, up until tonight?

Up until now I've been using up all the daytime nappies that were left, so we've used up some Huggies Super Dry 'proper nappies' and some Huggies Little Walkers (the pull ups that aren't really aimed at potty training? You know, not Pull Ups, more like a normal nappy just in a pull up format. But I'm wondering what to get him going forward?

Also, how did you know when to try nappy free at night?

Sorry everyone else and hello. Have been lurking but not posting as much recently (stooped RL getting in the way Hmm). Hope you're all ok. Scrambled, Little - hope AF doesn't dare to darken your doors....
