Conception

When's the best time to get pregnant? Use our interactive ovulation calculator to work out when you're most fertile and most likely to conceive.

We are all jolly well going to smack the rat this month and grow a baby and we'll brook no argument. And probably eat some cake too.

Got your back Stasi!

When is the next brooker testing? I have decided that I will be confirming my oh-so-obvious pregnancy on Wednesday. I'll be properly late by then and if I get a BFN I will be able to believe it. I have gone right off early testing because you get your hopes up, then it's BFN, then you convince yourself it might have been too early and start calculating when you can next test. Well I do anyway.

beangrower · 17/11/2011 16:12

Popcorn - gorgeous photo. And saucy feller too Grin. Well done, you.

Smegs AF is definitely a fekkin focker. BOO-BOO-BOO.

Solars - nonch-rocker extraordinaire. No seriously, I think nonchalance is a good approach.

Hoping to join Stasi and Generic in the undercover anti-AF work, 8dpo but not far behind you guys.

Stasi · 17/11/2011 16:05

Thanks for the nice comments on photos. I thought about keeping things secret, but I probably wouldn't mind if someone from RL asked me about my MN use. Then I'd have someone in RL I could talk to about everything! However, I also work with all boys (who def. wont be on MN) and only one girl who knows I'm ttc anyway.

Popcorn you both look lovely, I almost wish we'd had snow on our wedding day, but I can't complain - we had lovely weather - bright sun and 16 degrees, in Edinburgh in Nov!!

Smegs that's a popular joke amongst my friends, particularly if I get a bit bossy sometimes :). So sorry AF seems to have arrived though, hope you have wine and chocolates to console yourself in RL.

Solars good luck with the nonchalant, I really enjoyed the start of this tww, and it went by so quickly as I wasn't thinking about it at all. Unfortunately coming back to MN after honeymoon I checked my stats to post, then became instantly obsessed with them!

Generic hope AF continues to stay away for us both. We can brook hard for each other. I've got your back if you've got mine :)

GenericDietCola · 17/11/2011 15:42

What am I saying? I am brooking no argument that it is not AF.

GenericDietCola · 17/11/2011 15:42

Lovely pic Popcorn! I had a winter wedding too, it looks very nice wherever you were!

Oh Scrambled so sorry to hear that but I am holding out a bit of hope that it might not be 'it'.

PopcornMouse · 17/11/2011 15:37

Oh smegs :(

:( :( :(

ScrambledSmegs · 17/11/2011 15:34

I think I'm out this month. Cramps and a little proper bleeding. AngrySad

PopcornMouse · 17/11/2011 15:31

I think I figured it out (phew, complicated!) - I'll delete it tonight though, so get it while it's hot (or cold, perhaps more appropriately.......)

Tis me and Mr Popcorn the day before our wedding, so a couple of years old now... :o

PopcornMouse · 17/11/2011 15:22

Loving the photo-fest! smegs DD looks sooo cute! :o
Stasi you look beautiful, and Mr Stasi looks very dashing!

I was going to join Smegs in a time-limited photo offer, but I can't work out how to access my profile Blush

GenericDietCola · 17/11/2011 15:15

Solars nonchalant is a great way to be!

GenericDietCola · 17/11/2011 15:15

Lovely photos Stasi and sorry to read about your health problems. I am brooking more than ever now for a wedding night baby!

Scrambled your photos are lovely too. Glad AF is still absent from you and hope she bliimin' well stays away!

If I can tonight I will add one or two of DD although I am a bit paranoid people I work with may be on MN!

I am in full on knicker-checking mode now. Nothing yet even when I put a little bit of loo roll 'up there' just to see

Solars · 17/11/2011 15:09

Lovely photos everyone, Statsi you looked stunning on your wedding day and Bean & Scrambled your little ones are cuties!

Bean Just to answer your question, I'm on CD7. I've told myself no stressing this month, so i'm not doing opks and I am even going to indulge in wine & the odd coffee if I feel like it Shock but to be honest I'm not a big drinker anyway but did have a glass of vino at the weekend! Nonchalant is the word for this month of TTC.

ScrambledSmegs · 17/11/2011 15:03

Stasi you look absolutely lovely in those photos. Made me a bit teary-eyed Blush. I have a confession tho' - all this time I've been reading your name as 'Star-zee' - as in the East German state police! Sorreeeee!!! Promise to get it right in future.

Thanks bean, we think so too :). Deffo 6music in this house, the poor kid! Not exactly singalong, is it?!

beangrower · 17/11/2011 14:35

Loving the photos - DD is a corker Smegs and a born DJ; radio 6 music you think? Wedding dress (and you in it!) just stunning Stasi. Has to lead to a BFP. I think you deserve "too perfect" after this TTC malarkey.

Am going to try "Pan Am" on play-it-again TV. Anyone watch that last night?

Stasi · 17/11/2011 14:08

Following the photo/profile trend I uploaded a couple of pictures. Don't have all the wedding album here in work, so just took a couple off of the photographers website.

Smegs my fingers, and legs, are crossed hoping for no AF. I think a wedding night baby would be a bit too perfect though. I don't want to set myself up to be disappointed, so am trying to just not think about it much. I was feeling very relaxed earlier in the week, because I had no idea how many DPO I was, now I do I'm finding it hard to stop thinking.

I'm really looking forward to the delivery of all sorts of kitchen goodies from our wedding list. However, we didn't put any blenders or big items on there really. DH felt weird asking people for presents!?! Got all new plates, glasses, cutlery and pans though. Will love throwing away the student flat left-overs were currently using (and have been for over 4 years Blush).

ScrambledSmegs · 17/11/2011 13:54

Ninja! I'm so sorry! I have a magimix food processor which I adore, and a JL own brand stick blender with several different attachments. I'm currently craving a kitchenaid in cream, but think that may be a step too far. They're lovely, but it may bankrupt me Wink.

ScrambledSmegs · 17/11/2011 13:49

Hullo! We've had a busy morning, stay and play fun with bubbles and paint. DD had to be collected from nursery early yesterday as she was running a temperature (39.4 - eek!) and very unhappy. Today of course she is nearly back to her normal self, so we had a DD-centred morning to tire her out!

No AF as yet, 9dpo here. Temps dipped again but not below line. Very odd all round. I still feel like AF is coming, but it's eased off a bit. Hmm at my wacky body .

Bean love the photos! He's such a little cutie. You've inspired me to open up my profile and a couple of photos, but for a few hours only. Yes, I am paranoid, I admit it.

Popcorn fantastic news! A proper strong positive, and rat-smacking too! Well blooming done, that BFP is in the bag!

Ah Imps, that's rubbish. Surely they got the hint? How long before you can leave and go to another job?

Haha maybe, no puppy-sitting for me I'm afraid! DH is terrified of all animals :( I hope Otis calms down soon and you get a bit of rest. He sounds like a really lovely little dog.

Stasi ooh, maybe AF won't come? After all, wedding night SWI has to mean instant updiffedness, no?!

Waves to cycle buddies Little and Generic, and tofarfalla,Cupcakes, Solars and Biscuits. Did I miss anyone? I bet I did. Sorry if I forgot you.

beangrower · 17/11/2011 12:58

Ah - thanks Pops. You have all the joys to come... Smile and can't wait to be congratulating you on your BFP!!!!

PopcornMouse · 17/11/2011 12:42

Just a quickie.... must dash.........

Stasi what is "early" to DH is normal to me; though DH did actually get up at the same as me in the end because the cats were hassling him for food All the post-builder tidying was done, and then our lovely cleaner came and washed away all the dust.

Bean I love the photos! DS is a real cutie petootie and you make a very lovely pair indeed :)

Yay cupcakes, cycle buddy sort of :o

beangrower · 17/11/2011 11:32

Thanks Cupcakes - can't help being desperately proud of my little mucker. Perhaps one of the conditions of becoming a mum in my vintage years? Grin So much in life pales in comparison... Poor old DP seems to have become part of the furniture already and we've only been together 3 years BFBlush...

beangrower · 17/11/2011 11:28
Blush
beangrower · 17/11/2011 11:28

Stasi - Hoping all the VERY best for you this month. A BFP so close now... Very hopeful for Cupcakes too (and wanna see dog pics). My you girls have been working up a sweat in the bedroom (almost typed badroom there!) - GOOD work.

Imps - Sooooo annoying. Big fat redundancy is what you needed. What next? Hmm Has to be a BFP instead. Then they can pay for your ML and you can resign when babster is 9 months old.

Solars - where you at in your cycle

CupcakesAndCocktails · 17/11/2011 11:26

Ninja I also approve of your choice Smile

Bean lovely photos! Your little boy is gorgeous x

Stasi I totally get that, I sometimes regret not testing before AF turns up which makes absolutely no sense.

I've finally figured out how to put up a picture of my doggy I think anyway

Stasi · 17/11/2011 11:19

oops, I meant to spell check that.. and check the icons, now Blush Blush.

I'm always really worried the smilies won't work, because they don't always show up when I do 'preview message'. Fingers crossed.

They're all working now! Grumble, I like consistency, not randomness! Confused

Stasi · 17/11/2011 11:16

Morning all, temps still quite high today, and I'm 12DPO I think. Longest ever LP was 13, so I'm expecting AF tomorrow. I still find that I want to test before AF is due, it feels like I'm somehow more likely to get a BFP if I don't wait for AF. It's complicated and completely nuts, but I'm so certain my AF will always come, that I want the BFP to show her when she turns up that she's not allowed to, and should go away again. Silly huh?

I got v. unreasonably annoyed at my electric toothbrush running out of batteries last night - wanted to throw the stupid thing across the room. So, maybe a little PMT too [embarassed].

Popcorn very impressed at your seduction methods, and success. I wonder though, did you actually get up early this morning to tidy up? I always find the 'up early' very hard to follow through on. Though will occasionally manage it for a morning SWI quickie after missing the night before. Also, grats on the ovulating finally, though I hope it won't make this cycle too long and stressful.

Imps it's seems strange to offer condolences on not getting made redundant, but I can understand you wanting to get out of there. Sounds like it's become a very hostile work environment. I hope somehow work becomes less stressful, perhaps over the next week until ov things will settle down and you'll be able to relax and go with the flow a bit?

Maybe Otis is very cute. DH and I saw a couple of West Highland Terriers while we were out walking, one of which was a puppy. So adorable. I just can't convince DH that he wants a dog though.

Bean nice pics :)
