Morning all,

generic really keeping absolutely everything crossed for you, we deserve a BFP on here now!!

imps you and DH look GORGEOUS! Your redundancy nightmare sounds awful, here's to a nice new shiny job for 2012 as well as a BFP

Stasi so sorry about AF, grrrrr, hopefully the last one for a long time and now you can relax this weekend and drink wine Grin

solars , you have a fantastic attitude, and your BFP is guaranteed!! Is the clomid giving you any side effects?

reality hang in there!!

So gals, I am all packed and ready to go and can't wait to fly off this evening, just have about a million hours of work to get through before then.
I am really hoping for a nicely timed SWI BFP on my return. Please leave a trail for me to find you, I imagine you will have got through about a million new threads before I get back! I expect to see loads of new BFPs on my return ok???

SweetieDoesIt · 18/11/2011 09:43

Poor Stasi I was really hoping for honeymoon BFP. Hope you are feeling ok.

I think I managed to get some photos uploaded, if anyone fancys a peek, but I will hide them again later this afternoon.

Real I have been emotional this morning, started crying at Queen Fat Bottom Girls on the Radio on my way into work, because Freddie is no longer with us!!! How ridiculous. Blush

RealLifeIsForWimps · 18/11/2011 09:34

7 days to go. Irrational me is now convinced i am pregnant as v emotional. Spent entire afternoon on brink of tears as was helping "Box of Hope" check boxes and got all upset about children in Vietnamese orphanages getting excited about getting a shoebox of stuff from a stranger.

However, rational me knows am almost certainly not.

GenericDietCola · 18/11/2011 09:13

Bugger! Stasi that is terrible. I was really hoping for a honeymoon baby for you. She'd better not come back next month.

Biscuits the Delia Christmas cake recipe is in The Bible (I can't remember the real name - maybe the Complete Cookery Course or something - it's an old book, been around since the 80s I think). She does have a website, so you may be able to get it there, although I think she charges! I think now is the perfect time to make a Christmas cake as it will have long enough to mature. Plus Delia recommends you feed them brandy to make them nice and moist (yum yum).

Aw Cupcakes cute doggy. You might live near me!

Imps I love your photos! Your OH deserves a gold star.

I will try to put some photos on at lunch time - I really must get on now! Af still not here (12 dpo) - la la la, finger in ears.

Imps7 · 18/11/2011 09:08

Grrrrrr sorry to hear that Stasi.

Thanks for you Stasi Sad

Stasi · 18/11/2011 08:55

Didn't need to POAS today, AF turned up first thing. Will have to plan nice dinner, wine and rom com with DH.

Generic brooking double hard for you now.

Keeping it short as hard to post on phone. Will post later while at work not working.

Imps7 · 18/11/2011 08:50

RIght, I'm going to do it - if I can figure out how I'm going to put up some pics. FOR ONE DAY ONLY people!

My gorgeous OH came home last night with some ice cream and a gin and tonic for me and told me that he's bought my train ticket for my interview next Thursday. He then ran me a bath and cleaned the kitchen. Thank god for lovely OHs.

Bean how do you feel about adoption? I often wonder whether OH and I should think of that instead of trying to get a BFP - we will make a wonderful home for a child and I'm conscious of all the children who don't have lovely lives who we could help. BTW your DS is gorgeous even if he does raise hell in the kitchen at 7:30am!

The risotto was pretty nice last night, even if I do say so myself. I will put the recipe on my newfangled profile once I've set it up!

Right, I'm going to put some washing on. Have told work that I have a Drs appt at 11am so will be "working from home" this morning...

Lovely sleepy whoof-whoof, Cupcakes. Just love those paws.

Stasi and Generic - hoping so much that this is your month imminently. BFP - double whammy.

Morning everyone else. Some seriously posh cooking going on here! Impressive.

Hope no-one has the 'next morning' feeling - now we've shared a few piccies. Grin It is lovely to put a face to a name and to hear incredible stories like Stasi's - just so glad you are through all that treatment and so great that you are now looking forward to starting a family via a BFP or adoption or whichever route life takes you.

I have mooted the subject of adoption with DP - he's a bit concerned for DS... will see how he feels in half a year or so if no BFP coming along.

Now better walk the mutt and small boy. He's already turned the kitchen upside down and it's only 7.30am.

Biscuitsandtea · 18/11/2011 07:18

Morning all,

Just a quick one to say hello to y'all.

Stasi hope if you've tested this morning you've got that bfp Smile. Brooking hard for you.

Generic - keeping everything crossed for you too m'dear. I think there was someone else at the end of the 2ww? I can't remember who though (and am on iPad so can't check back) but good luck whoever it was....

Solars - loving the nonchalant approach. Go get 'em (nonchalantly) tiger Smile.

I have loved looking at all your profile pics. Some very cute children (and a DH respectively) there! And of course Otis is super cute. I love the one where he's asleep between the wellies. stasi - you looked super fabulous and gorgeous in your wedding gear. Smile

Generic - I am intrigued by your Deliah Christmas cake recipe. Is it online anywhere or just in a book, and in that case which book? I am sorely tempted to make one this year - might even crack out my new mixer for the job Grin. Plus I saw a lovely simple decoration design in a magazine. My only worry is that I've left it too late?

Imps, my lovely, what a rubbish day for you. So sorry you weren't chosen for redundancy (which sounds weird, but you know what I mean!) I am brooking super hard that you have a great time with your old boss and the meet and greet. Is that today? Hope you get that offer in your hand quick smart and shove your resignation in their faces are able to demurely take the upper hand with your current employers.

I've forgotten everything else now Confused

CupcakesAndCocktails · 18/11/2011 01:31

Hello to Sweetie, Beedle Bean and Ninja

Generic here's to wednesday. AF is not welcome anymore

CupcakesAndCocktails · 18/11/2011 01:28

Hey everyone, I've just got home from work. Ive just had a few slices of dominos for my tea Blush not the healthiest but free! I scrounged it off the doctors before leaving work!

Just had a quick look at the photos Popcorn you look so young! And Stasi such lovely wedding pictures. I'm also a big Jane Austen fan.

I couldn't look at your pics Scrambled, it may have been my computer. It often crashes for no reason. I'll have a go again tomorrow.
So hope AF doesn't show her face either x

Imps sorry you've had a rough day. Have got my fingers crossed for that meeting with your former boss.

Solars nonchalant is the way to go. We are all getting our BFPs so no point sweating it eh?!

Right I'm off to bed, night all

GenericDietCola · 17/11/2011 20:52

Imps your tea sounds delish and I hope the risotto stirring calms you down. You sound very strong and capable and I'm sure you'll get through this!

Sweetie I love Delia. I make her Christmas cake recipe every year and also used it to make our wedding cakes. It's lovely. I assume the Waitrose kit contains everything you need as well as the recipe. In fact I'm making some Christmas cakes (as presents) this weekend.

SweetieDoesIt · 17/11/2011 20:28

Also called a Waitrose and got the Deliah christmas cake kit. Not sure if you have heard of them but apparently flying off the shelves it was very heavy as I carried it through town so find that very hard to believe. I know I am a sucker for the hype. Also we still have our fruit wedding cake left which we had saved for Christmas.

SweetieDoesIt · 17/11/2011 20:25

Evening ladies, not been online much today due to MAJOR incident at work. We have been into town for dinner at Strada yes we had 2 for 1 vouchers, DH had risotto with scallops and I had seafood linguine. I even had a glass of wine which is very unusual for me as I am not normally a wine drinker is craving for wine a sign of imminent BFP?

I am loving all the lovely photos of weddings, gorgeously cute kids and of course Otis!!! I have never opened my profile or uploaded photos but I will give it a go, for a limited time as you never know who is lurking. It is so nice to put a face to a name, so far no one has looked like I had imagined.

PopcornMouse · 17/11/2011 20:13

Sounds yummy! Recipe?

Dh is out boozing. I bought a tesco £10 mealdeal - Moroccan lamb meatballs and a goat cheese bread - and wish I hadn't. Yuck. My cat is currently nomming a meatball.

Imps7 · 17/11/2011 20:05

It's a romanesco cauliflower and herb risotto tonight - it's one I've had in my scrap book for a while and this week I got a romanesco in my veg box so I'm quite excited about trying it [saddo emoticon]. Only problem is a slight shortage of herbs, but you should still be able to taste some sort of herbage.

What has everyone else got for dinner??

OP posts:
PopcornMouse · 17/11/2011 19:09

Oo Imps what risotto do you make? :d I like pea and bacon nom nom nom

sorry you had a pants day. You will get your job offer and be out of there in no time at all :)

Imps7 · 17/11/2011 18:57

Ooooh Stasi - beautiful!!!! But so sorry about your cancer treatment. And there I am moaning about work Blush.

Right, I think I will go and make a risotto. The continual stirring will probably be quite therapeutic.

Hellloooooo! Well, what a day. It's been shit, although happily less shit than I expected - mainly because I was out the office for half of it. Met up with my selected-for-redundancy colleague to give her her redundancy folder - she didn't want to come to the office so we met in a hedge just around the corner! Must have looked well dodgy.

I have my meet and greet with my former boss' managing partner and head of corporate team next Thursday (24th) - hopefully that will then result in a firm offer landing on my doormat pronto so that I can hand my notice in by mid-December. Ohhhhh, I am SO brooking no argument that it all works out.

Oooooh I too am loving all of the photos!! I'm not quite brave enough to post any of me/OH/pet rabbits yet - I have become so suspicious of everyone thanks to work issues that I can't help but wonder that perhaps one of you is one of the fuckface partners collating evidence to use against me in Tribunal...SO COME ON, WHICH ONE OF YOU IS IT?????? Angry

Smeg, arrrrgggg, sorry about crappy AF. SHE IS A COWBAG AND DESERVES TO DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

Oooooh, Popcorn I see that you're going to delete your photo tonight...hmmm, I wonder if I could put one on and then delete - presumably there'd be no traceable history of it???

Ooooh, actually, I've just seen that loads of you have put photos on!! I will have a peruse....

PopcornMouse · 17/11/2011 18:48

Cheers bean, I think he's a bit of totty (as Rimmer would say) but I'm biased :o

Currently basking in the glow of world's best auntie-hood - I'm taking my teenage niece to see twilight on Sunday. Gosh I feel old saying teenage niece. Never mind that I'd rather date Billy Burke than either Robert Pattison or Taylor Lautner

BeedleTheBard · 17/11/2011 16:50

Loving all the photos ladies Grin

smegs brooking that its implantation bleeding - as others have said its easy to be hopelessly optimistic for others

stasi looking forward to you testing tomorrow

waves to everyone else too

4dpo here I think, nothing exciting to report even I can't imagine symptoms this early

GenericDietCola · 17/11/2011 16:42

Well if you've got some internet cheapies you may as well test! I probably would if I had some cheapies. I've got two Superdrug ones, which I'm saving because they cost £5 and I'm tight

Stasi · 17/11/2011 16:37

I'm considering an early test tomorrow, they're internet cheapies, so won't break the bank. The plan was to wait till the weekend then test. I'm kind of expecting a temp drop tomorrow, but we'll see.
