Conception

When's the best time to get pregnant? Use our interactive ovulation calculator to work out when you're most fertile and most likely to conceive.

We are all jolly well going to smack the rat this month and grow a baby and we'll brook no argument. And probably eat some cake too.

Hi Meconium how are you? I'm hoping I'll be joining you soon!

Ooh Real so you are confirming this week too - exciting!

Cupcakes - hope the time passes quickly and you can confirm your obvious pregnancy soon. I think fudge is a great idea. Last year I made Christmas biscotti, which was easy to do and well-received. I can't remember where I got the recipe, but I think if you Google you will find something.

Well, I'm 15 dpo now and really excited and carried away! I hope this isn't a rogue cycle. Only two more sleeps until Wednesday. Thank you for brooking for me - I would have gone insane without you lot!

Hope all goes well today Have.

CupcakesAndCocktails · 21/11/2011 08:24

Right dog walked, dishes done. Now sat down with a cup of tea Smile

Hello Have lots of extra brooking for your DH and you today. Let us know how you get on.

Ooh Generic can't wait for Wednesday. 14dpo wooohoooo!!!

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend. I did get my work all done thank you & managed to fit a few shops in too!

I'm 5dpo and am driving myself crazy. Keep getting funny feelings in my abdomen have totally had similar feelings every single month of ttc so am obviously up the duff Wink

Am thinking of making some fudge or something relatively easy for my families stockings. Does anyone have any good recipes/ideas?

BeedleTheBard · 21/11/2011 05:24

OOh generic looking forward to Wednesday - I do admire your patience I would certainly have tested by now and got a BFN cos it was way too early I'm sure you will be rewarded Grin

Hmmm FB I, usually just use the like button if I can't think of something really witty to say - those comments do sound a bit odd - maybe its the same kind of people who write a comment on here after reading the 1st line of the OP.

Have good luck for today

little sorry about the spotting hope it doesn't mean AF is on her way

RealLifeIsForWimps · 21/11/2011 00:00

Sometimes I think FB should just provide a drop down list of trite comments so people can just pick one rather than having to type it out themselves. Mind you, my sis did that - the whole "I'm an auntie" status-, before I even had time to get out of the blardy hospital and update mine [over it now emoticon]

Everything crossed for generic. I am (I think/hope) 11 DPO, so if no AF by Friday, will test. Going to splash out on a digital and everything. Was convinced I had implantation pain last night, but subsequent events suggest it was just wind.

raspberrytipple · 20/11/2011 22:36

yep she said she had become an auntie in her status. I don't know, I'm probably just over thinking it but I suppose she is close to her sister, just thought it weird that people who don't really know her that well i.e. random facebook friends are all 'OMG that's such amazing news!!' It's probably just the whole peril of facebook - people have to write some crap on EVERYTHING.

MeconiumHappens · 20/11/2011 22:24

bit weird, DO the commenters know its not her baby? has she said it her niece/nephew?

raspberrytipple · 20/11/2011 22:19

Ok Rat Smackers - tell me if I am being unreasonable to think this is just a bit weird......

My friend's sister had a baby today, all very lovely, but my friend has posted it on facebook, again all very normal but everyone is like 'OMG congratulations hun, enjoy every second - they grow up so quickly' 'hun, Im soooooo pleased for you, such amazing news'..... blah blah blah, got about 30 comments and if you read anything off that thread and didn't know it wasn't her baby you would be forgiven for thinking that it was her own baby? Is it not a bit weird as it's not her baby? Or am I being rather sensitive?

MeconiumHappens · 20/11/2011 22:08

hello festive rat smackers! Just a little wave from the vomitorium. We're currently eceeding low on vomit, could do with some new early preggos to dust off the segways and shine up he glittery vomit buckets...........smack smack smack that festive rat x x x x x

ps i have heard that baileys DEFIN|TELY boosts Your ability to smack rats. go go go

Solars · 20/11/2011 20:25

Very, very exciting news Generic I have absolutely everything crossed for you x

Popcorn, Maybe thanks for the knitting advice, will be looking into it

Hello Have good luck for Monday!

GenericDietCola · 20/11/2011 19:55

Glad you feel a bit better Little and hope the spotting is just to do with being ill this month. Brooking that your LP will be l-o-o-o-n-g next month (9 months long!)

TheLittleFriend · 20/11/2011 19:53

I'm ok ta Generic. Feeling much better now, but still spotting. CD18 so an appearance from af anytime now would not surprise me. Spotting since CD13 will be a new thing though. Something else to worry about!

GenericDietCola · 20/11/2011 19:34

Have wouldn't a Chrsitmas Eve BFP be fabulous! You are getting it and we are brooking no argument.

I think 14 days is quite unusual for me, 12 seems more normal, but I don't chart so I just go from my usual signs of ovulation and guess. I'm waiting until Wednesday because then my AF would really be late by any of my recent cycles.

Little how are you? Are you feeling better now and has the spotting stopped?

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 20/11/2011 19:17

generic what's your longest LP so far?

TheLittleFriend · 20/11/2011 19:14

Oooh generic I didn't realise you were 14dpo. Exciting times....

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 20/11/2011 18:53

Thanks for the warm welcome :) course I'd forgotten you're already upduffed!
If they fix DH in the next few weeks I'll be brooking for a bfp on Christmas eve!

Biscuitsandtea · 20/11/2011 18:47

Evening all :)

Been away for the weekend, no chance of catching up with you chatty lot Confused. So, please let me know if I've missed anything mega.

Welcome back my lovely. Brooking has commenced for your DH's appt tomorrow - do let us know what they say. I really hope that they are helpful and you can see a way forward :)

Generic - still no AF you say? When was she due? I've forgotten because I'm a bit dopey. I do seem to recall that a testing date of Wednesday made you pretty late so am brooking lots for you too that she's stays buggered off!

Hope everyone else is well. Apologies about not being able to catch up properly.

mwah mwah xxx

GenericDietCola · 20/11/2011 18:30

Hi Have and welcome back! Hope all goes well tomorrow and I will brook no argument for your BFP this month!

Well done on the Christmas shopping Beedle - I've still got a fair bit to get - argh!

I think I'm now 14 dpo and still no AF. I'm getting very excited but trying to contain myself and stick to my resolution of waiting to PIAR until Wed...

BeedleTheBard · 20/11/2011 17:16

Hello ladies I hope everyone has had a good weekend. I mananged to get some Christmas shopping done this morning - well I say this morning, the shops here don't open until 12pm on a Sunday, and as I thought they opened at 11 I spent an hour literally window shopping!

popcorn that's a very up and down chart you've got this month - glad you've finally got a crosshair - the witch wouldn't dare turn up on Tues.

Right now who is due to PIAR - there must be someone due to cornfirm their pregnanacy this week - hands up who is it??? If no-one answers I keep you all behind after class - no I'm not a teacher but that was a good impression eh? Grin

jazzy283 · 20/11/2011 17:02

sorry not been back to reply over weekend
imps the sickness had made me believe it yes no more pee sticks have been brought lol lol

far www.fertilaid.com/ it is a vit yes me and DH took it during our ttc it made his wriggles stonger and regulated me and extended my LP after the 1st month the are very good we had no side effects apart from wanting more sex than normal but hey thats not a bad thing lol you can buy them from

www.amazon.co.uk/Fairhaven-Health-FertilAid-Women-Capsules/dp/B0002G2M9Y/ref=sr_1_2?s=drugstore&ie=UTF8&qid=1321808445&sr=1-2

They are the best place i got mine and DH from there :)

PopcornMouse · 20/11/2011 10:20

Solars I agree with the youtube suggestion, and ravelry is amazing. If you want to learn in-person, you could call you local yarn shop (some John Lewis, too) and see if they do classes.

Good luck Mr Little, brooking hard!

Yes whimsy that's me, though I think I'll be looking for a new job in the Spring, sadly. Let's just say you do it for the love, not the financial rewards!

I have a crosshair on FF! At last! Though I'm still pooping myself AF will come as normal on Tuesday??

TheLittleFriend · 19/11/2011 20:34

Woohoo, Faith's here! Glad your dh's appointment is finally here. Brooking hard for a good outcome for you both. And in answer to your question, err, obviously we're all up the duffer. Just not got a bloody pee stick to agree yet.

whimsicalname · 19/11/2011 19:52

Lovely knitting as well, by the way possibly. I'm a sock and three quarters through a pair of socks at the mo.

I'm desparate for a small lacy shawl pattern that I can knit with one or two skeins of noro sock wool (impulse purchase) if anyone has any suggestions. Can cope with pretty challenging. Want a triangular scarflet that will sit with the point at the front of my neck, and the ends wrapped across the back and back round to the front, if that makes any sense.

popcorn is it you that said you work for a knitting mag? I have total job envy!

whimsicalname · 19/11/2011 19:26

Hello faith I took your advice and am very happily settled in over here! Good news re your DH's appt. fingers crossed.

Cupcakes I think I'm up to day 16. I've been religiously peeing on ovulating sticks, but have yet to detect a surge. Saying that, I keep forgetting not to drink or drink more or not pee for a few hours or pee whilst drinking backwards from a cup or throw salt over my shoulder or whatever it is you're meant to do.

I've also just done one that's not showing any result either way, so wondering quite what's going on there.

I've always rather suspected that I ovulate late in my cycle as we tend to start with gay enthusiasm, that rather wanes as the month progresses. I was very disheartened last month, which we set about dtd every other day, but had totally gone off the idea by day 20.

sweetie and LF The dress has always been roomy in the boob dept. It's the waist that lets me down. I actually had to stick it to my chest on the day with tit tape so I didn't gape.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 19/11/2011 18:06

Howya brookers! How's tricks? So...DH's appointment has finally rolled round. Monday it is. Brooking for an easy and reversible problem so we can get on the ttc horse again.
What's the news? Who is up the duffer?

BeedleTheBard · 19/11/2011 16:49

Loving the photos ladies, Solars you're beautiful :)

Sorry to hear about the sick people and migranes.

Hope you finished your work and bought some nice things cupcakes

We've had a lazy day here, just bought the final Harry Potter dvd, so we watched Deathly Hallows part 1 this afternoon, and will watch part 2 this evening. Obviously we have already seen it at the cinema, but we do like Harry Potter Grin

I've also booked myself a trip to england in a couple of weeks time - I've a few things to sort out and I need to do some shopping and then I'm going to have a couple days at my brothers with my 3 gorgeous small nieces.
