Thanks Jemma7. And good luck to you with your pregnancy!!

Think will def spend this month really 'trying', though its hard when you've got a baby in the next room who is coughing all night, and is very restless!

Mosegirl - I had no idea I was pregnant with DD. No symptoms whatsoever. We had just started ttc and I didn't think I would that first month because I was in the middle of my University finals (stressed and tired!) and also trying to be v healthy, running 5k every morning - so we were hardly at it like rabbits! So, yes, can be PG and have no symptoms. I only did a pregnancy test cos I wanted to eat a prawn curry that may have been dodgy! Good luck!

Jemma7 · 10/11/2003 13:52

Mosegirl, Futurity & Mum2Ella - i can speak from experience!

I can off the pill last December and have only just fallen pg The first few months weren't trying as such, just if it happens it happens!

However, it soon got to April and still wasn't pg, so decided to start really trying!

Point of the story is - when i was on pill A/F was every 28 days regular as clockwork - as soon as i came of they varied every single month from 26 days to 38 days.
It's easier said than done but if your A/F doesn't arrive when you expect try not to get too ahead of yourself as i know what it feels like for AF to arrive unexpectedly - sometimes it doesn't but in my case it took a long time for the pill to get out of my system!

Good Luck to everyone

MoseGirl · 10/11/2003 13:34

Furity and Mum2ela I am in exactly the same situation. My last PD was my final pill period and its now 5 weeks today since that happened.

I felt I may have succeeded in getting Pg after a super-sesh around OV but have absolutely NO symptoms at all and PG test was negative.

Cazzybabs do you have any possible symptoms?

Does anyone know if you can be PG and have no sore boobs etc etc?

futurity · 10/11/2003 13:28

One DS aged 21 1/2 months. Was going to wait until January to start ttc but getting impatient so may start December!

MUM2ELA · 10/11/2003 13:25

Futurity - I conceived DD as soon as I came off the pill - thought this time would give my body a break from pill before ttc ('my body is a temple' etc. etc.) though now wish I hadn't bothered and that surge of fertility I had with DD may have worked 2nd time round too.

BTW, how many children have you got already?

futurity · 10/11/2003 13:09

blimey..and i was worrying about it being 5 1/2 weeks "late"! When I came off before to conceive DS AF turned up after 5 weeks and then was 29 days regular cycle. We held off trying for 3 months and then got pregnant the first month of trying so I kinda got it in my head that the same thing will happen this time BUT i know it won't! Just wish my AF would turn up!

cazzybabs · 10/11/2003 13:08

I am joinning this thread too - bf is really keen. I am a little less keen as have applied to be a midwife and can't afford to train if we have another, but hey ho make hay while the sun shines (and we are young enough) and all that. I jealous of sil who is preggers and got dead broody in Mothercare on Sun.
I keep hoping I am already but I am sure its a fragment of my imagination or just an excuse to expain the suddern girth increase and reason to sleep in the afternoon. AF not due till next week....ROLL ON NEXT WEEK!!!!!

MUM2ELA · 10/11/2003 13:06

that was my first smiley!!

MUM2ELA · 10/11/2003 13:05

futurity - I could have written your post!

I came off pill at end of Aug - had withdrawal bleed during Sept and have patiently waited for AF to arrive, which it did today! In meantime, however, did 6 (yes, 6!) pregnancy tests (costing me a fortune), but from now on don't know how regular AF's will be and so next month rekon on BD'ing every other day!! Not keen on these irregular af's though . . .

futurity · 10/11/2003 12:56

Can I join in?
I am not offically ttc yet..came off the pill 5 weeks ago with the plan to wait a couple of cycles before trying BUT no AF yet (apart from the one which came at the end of the pill). It has been a week and a half since it "should" of come. When I came off the pill before, my first AF came after about 5 weeks so was kinda expecting it last week but no sign despite having the normal aches down below. So now of course I am wondering about doing a test despite the fact it would mean a miracle to be pregnant (hardly any sex ) I expect I will get one this afternoon to put my mind at rest..I suppose worrying about AF not appearing could be making it stop appearing!!?

M2T · 10/11/2003 12:27

My Goodness!! I think I might have to start a new thread coz it just took a good 10 mins to find the bottom of this one!

Congrats Helsbels!!!

Mosegirl - the first test I did when I was pg with ds was negative. I waited a week and got a positive!

CD - Me too. AF arrived last Saturday so I think I'm right in assuming I will be ovulating anytime between the 12th and 16th Nov?? Don't want morning sickness for Xmas though.... We will wait until December to really start BD'ing.

I'll just keep taking my folic acid for now.

MoseGirl · 10/11/2003 11:05

or even

MoseGirl · 10/11/2003 11:04

What wonderful News to start the week :0 :0

Congratulations Helsbels.....

Helsbels · 10/11/2003 10:58

CD
I feel sick with the thought of having 2!!! I'm terrified and now it looks like being reality it is even worse. Still, it is only for a short time (or so I keep telling myself) and DS will be nearly 3 by July and he is very sensible already and I'm really trying to convince myself aren't I?

CountessDracula · 10/11/2003 10:40

Quackers, I'm not sad, I really didn't want to get pg until Jan as don't want another high summer birth! Plus would miss the fun again at xmas and new year. Of course if I do get pg will be delighted and not care one bit about missing the fun!

Helsbels do you feel nervous about going from 1 to 2? Every time I think about it I feel faint!!!

Jemma7 · 10/11/2003 10:33

Hiya,

Congratulations Helsbels Been waiting for you on the July thread but your not there yet!

How is everyone? Have a good weekend?

Helsbels · 10/11/2003 10:33

Hi CD - no it's our 2nd we have a ds (2.2) DH still in shock (good shock though )I'm still in shock!! It was a bit of a surprise as I thought I had messed up my bd'ing this month! Must have been that bottle of wine the weekend before that did it! Still, only a very very failnt dot so am doing another test in a couple of days before going to the doctors. Will need early blood tests as I am over 35 (well only just but still over). This is a lucky thread so far so fingers (and nothing else) crossed for you all too!!

quackers · 10/11/2003 10:30
