Morning everyone

Envy Envy Envy

Where Envy = sick, not envy

Fortunately there isn't an emoticon to cover problems at the other end Sad

Have sent ds to nursery so I can feel sorry for myself in my pjs, and puke in 'comfort'

Bleh

Far - poor you and DH - I think most of us who have been ttc for a while have had a performance issue at some time or another. It feels like a really sideways step but I agree with Ninja waft around looking gorgeous and hopefully DH won't be able to help himself! Would a nice bottle of wine help to relax you both?

And we have your appt on Thursday to look forward to which will be a big step forward.

ninja hope your appt goes ok, and that ds is suitable distracted!

Can't remember everything else and think I may need to visit the bathroom again

Envy Sad
PopcornMouse · 01/11/2011 09:11

Awwww the halloween smilies have gone :(

PopcornMouse · 01/11/2011 09:11

far, I agree with ninja - clearly your DH is in need of a good woo-ing :o

How are you feeling this morning, munkii?

Not much to report here, CD 10 and temp down a smidge (which means precisely nothing). I am developing an irrational hatred of the word "mummy" though, to the point where I want to slap anyone that uses it. It's just sooo.... smug. [hhmm]

NinjaChipmunk · 01/11/2011 09:03

far I think we need to come up with a foolproof plan to get your dh shagging when needed. If you start feeling panicked and stressed would a lovely fragrant bath help relax you? Then you could waft around looking and smelling lovely and delicious and your dh would not be able to resist?
maybe your puppy sounds adorable even if he does wake you up hideously early (he's getting you into practice you see).
munkiii hope you're feeling ok today?
I have my gp appointment this afternoon at 4 to talk about getting booked in to see midwives etc, am quite excited but will have to take ds with me and we obviously haven't told him yet so will have to think of toy to take to amuse/ distract him.
generic where are yooooouuuuu??? It has been a little quieter than normal on here recently. And where is imps with her cartwheels?

farfallarocks · 01/11/2011 08:47

Morning all.
munkkii sorry you are feeling down, big hugs, this is the best thread because we can all take a break from brooking when we are feeling it and there are enough brookers to brook for you :) It is totally normal to have days when you are just not feeling it and I can totally sympathise. I felt like that yesterday too.
Had some lovely acupuncture last night and got a high on the monitor which was great news. Also the EWCM has begun. I have never ovulated this late, veyr odd, and sods law as I would have ovulated at the weekend had I followed the usual pattern. As it happens, DH obviously picked up on my panicked, stressed vibe and we had our first performance anxiety issues so no SWI last night.
Now in a total panic as DH says he just wants to see what happens and not SWI at the right times. Gah!!! Am hoping its just a defense mechanism but I suspect we have another month down the drain and it really makes me resentful, especially with the millions of preggards around (yes another one this morning at work and its not weven 9am!!!)

imps technically the insurance is paying for investigations into 'irregular menstruation' they don;t pay for anything fertility or pregnancy related which is a whole other rant but anyway.......

So glad you haev a good job option open to you, sounds fantastic expecially if you get on with your old boss?

jazzy welcome to the best thread on mumsnet, I hope you are ok and managing to keep positive, this thread will help I promise.

scrambled please explain the mooncup further? Do you have to, ahem. empty it out? I had heard that some people use it for swimmers (I kid you not!!) Your ironic BFP is around the corner now for sure!

ninja how are you feeling? Any preggo symptoms yet?

stop avoiding the question dammit and PIAR you are so updiffed!!

solars how are you getting on with the clomid?

Imps7 · 01/11/2011 08:15

Too early for a cocktail?? I've never heard such ridiculousness! Bottoms up! . I actually started planning my various Christmas meals at the weekend and am trying to decide which festive cocktails to do. So excited!!

Glad that the new recruit is settling in well Maybe! I bet you can't remember life without him :)

Munkii I am happy to take on my share of your brooking power today so that you can have a day off. Don't feel bad about feeling down - everyone has days like that and it's totally fine. Hope you feel better soon.

Redundancy consultation meeting 1 today...is it odd to be quite looking forward to it?? Slightly awkwardly, the meeting will be followed swiftly by a client lunch with one of the partners who I am suggesting should be put at risk of redundancy too! Doubt that she'll know, but still!

possiblemaybebaby · 01/11/2011 06:04

Morning one and all

How are we all on this blustery November day?

Mooncup you say Scrambled? Seen as you won't be needing it this month, do you think it would make a good ornament? Maybe adorned with tinsel for the festivities? H is gorgeous. Currently curled up asleep in my yarn bag and dressing gown after getting me up at 4.40 Smile

Munkii how you feeling this morning? We are all allowed down days, that's what the cocktails are for Wink

Imps this is all great news, you must be chuffed! did you fix the Dyson?

How are you Ninja?

Welcome Jazzy as the others have said, simply being here means you are pregnant. Fact

Anyone seen Generic?

ScrambledSmegs · 31/10/2011 22:22

(((hugs))) munkiii. Look after yourself.

far Ooh, thursday! Good luck, hope everything goes well. Don't know what to say that doesn't sound trite and cliched, but try not to take all the pg-types to heart. It will be you soon, I'm sure.

maybe SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! Oh he's gorgeous!!!! You lucky thing Envy. And what's this I hear about having to eat otherwise you get nausea?!! Yay! POAS!!!!!

Ah, shiny I'm sorry to hear that. Looks like this will be our month then, eh? Roll on November! Beedle sorry about your BFN too :(

Welcome jazzy!

Well, in other news, I bought a mooncup yesterday after some vairy interesting advice on a thread I started. It's pretty good - me likey. I'm now expecting my ironic BFP this month, as of course it would happen when I've just shelled out £20 on a new sanitary device...

NinjaChipmunk · 31/10/2011 21:32

munkiii your wish is my command we are all allowed off days m'love. Get yourself a good nights sleep and treat yourself well. Its very difficult to be positive feeling all the time and sometimes your hormones just get the better of you

Munkiii · 31/10/2011 20:45

Yes please ninja.

My brooking power a little low. I'm ok, just a bit meh.

imps I hope it all works out the way you want it to.

Lovely puppy maybe sorry forgot to say earlier and hello jazzy!

No idea when I should test, think I will leave it a good long while! Just not feeling very positive about it all ATM.

NinjaChipmunk · 31/10/2011 20:40

hey munkiii are you ok? You know we can brook for you if you need a day off?

Sorry about af shiny and bfn beedle

far good luck to you for Thursday, I hope you can get some good constructive advice on the situation.

imps the job thing does sound interesting and in the light of your current situation sounds like a good plan even if you don't think its the perfect job. I'm not sure the perfect job exists, I'm certainly not sure what it would need to entail for me. Enough money to have a lovely studio to do art all day

hi jazzy you know by joining this thread you are automatically pregnant don't you Wink

Munkiii · 31/10/2011 19:24

good luck Farfalla

Sorry about AF shiny

My head is all over the place today so sorry will have missed out lots.

beadle sorry about BFN, cd31 here.

Imps7 · 31/10/2011 19:23

Helllloooo everyone and welcome Jazzy

How is everyone doing? Popcorn, I have lovely daydreams about posting on the preggo forums only to then freak out about not ever getting the chance to. BUT! WE WILL. And that is the end of that.

Maybe, oh a puppy how lovely!!! I would quite like a cat but OH will NOT have it, so I'll just content myself with my bunnies and the three fish - at least they won't scratch the sofa and crap on the carpet like my mum and dad's cats always seemed to! Oh and WHEN THE CHUFF ARE YOU TESTING???

Farfalla NO BROOKING AHOY! Thursday sounds like a monumental day - I'm keeping those positive vibes coming for you. Interesting that you can get fertility investigations done on work health insurance - would never have occurred to me. I think that if I'm not diffed by May I will go to the GP then - although we've been "trying" since January this year, in all honestly we've only been doing it properly since June - I'm quite happy to give it a year, particularly with all this job stuff going on.

Met with former/potential new boss on Friday night to discuss job - it all seems ridiculously positive. I'm not entirely sure that it's the job of my dreams (in fact I know that it isn't), but the job of my dreams doesn't actually exist PLUS I can't exactly afford to be picky at the moment - employment law jobs are few and far between where I live. I may surprise myself by loving it though - that would be great!

Right, I'm off to try to repair the Dyson.

jazzy283 · 31/10/2011 18:34

hey ladies id like to join if possible bit about me ttc#1 coming up to a year of ttc now im currently on 10 dpo (cd28) and usually a 29-31 cycle me and dh did lots of swi this month but have terrible cramping and sore boobies so feel af in round corner :( we are making appointment with gp this week so see what happens there :) popcorn thanks for the invite far how are u hun

farfallarocks · 31/10/2011 17:09

popcorn no, I am seeing the consultant privately.

Luckily most of it is covered by work health insurance (the scans and his time) but not the blood tests but they are not too bad. I realise I am incredibly lucky to have this option.

I do have an NHS appointment though on the 10th Nov with a team that looks into immune issues, I have opted to do that as this particular consultant does not believe in it as a theory and I want to cover all bases!

The earliest appointment with them would have been 3 weeks from referral so really quite fast but I needed to stagger the appointments due to the copious amounts of blood they take at each!!

PopcornMouse · 31/10/2011 17:06

I'm impressed it's all been done so quickly! (This is not NHS though, is it?)

possiblemaybebaby · 31/10/2011 17:02

Will be keeping everything crossed for Thursday Far

farfallarocks · 31/10/2011 17:00

Thanks gals :)

Big test result day and plan of action is Thurs. But the results have been trickling in and there is nothing really obvious to report. I am not jumping to conclusions though and will see what the consultant says and have not been obsessively googling test results or anything

possible when are you testing???

possiblemaybebaby · 31/10/2011 16:52

Of course, you are so right Far thank god you're here to point these things out Grin Plus it couldn't be worse timing really, MS whilst puppy training...

PopcornMouse · 31/10/2011 16:50

Have you had all your tests and results now, far? I'm sorry if you've said, I know you've been updating us as you've gone, I'm just not sure if it's all done and dusted yet? :)

You're definitely not turning into a horrible monster, you are wuvly :o

farfallarocks · 31/10/2011 16:49

you won't actually need to pounce on him ever again cos you are sooooo updiffed already innit?

possiblemaybebaby · 31/10/2011 16:43

Oh Far it's so tough isn't it. It's like the minute you start TTC, the whole bloody world and his dog are up the duff. Hurrah for post-needling sexing though Grin

You have plenty of time to pounce Popcorn I wouldn't worry Grin

farfallarocks · 31/10/2011 16:41

Don;t worry you have agggeeeessm no chance the swimmers can live for that long! I think you are off the hook until CD 15 at least :)

The awful thing is I literally cannot look at this girl, she is actually a pretty good friend and I just resent her so much. I am worried this TTC thing is turning me into a horrible person.

Anyway, nuff of the me me me.
Where is imps and the rest of you chatty lot

shiny don;t worry, I used to be pretty laid back before TTC and am going slowly nuts

PopcornMouse · 31/10/2011 16:29

Oh far that's pants (for you, not her [stating the obvious emoticon]), I'm really sorry :(

I'm on CD9 and we haven't swi yet [hblush] mostly because I've been ill and hideously unsexy. I don't usually OV til CD18 but I'm starting to get on edge about it lol, so I think some pouncing will be done tonight....
