popcorn apparently 2 a day is all you need

muunki extra brooking for you here, I know how hard the shit days are and then they seem to lift as quickly as they appeared, very strange indeedy

jazzy I am on B100 and boo for AF!!

GENERIC good to see you back on here. Have decided to chill out about SWI tonight, I can't face talking about it again and am going to let fate decide I think. I will obviously try and look ravishing but the full on approach is obviously freaking him out. I want to shout, why canlt you just do me like a real man but I think that might be counterproductive Hmm

PopcornMouse · 01/11/2011 16:37

Oh yeah, I meant to ask - someone (far?) mentioned they were eating brazils for selenium as it can be hard to absorb in vitamin form - I was going to ask how many per day? I just bought some :o

GenericDietCola · 01/11/2011 16:17

Popcorn your lunch sounds wonderful!

Munkii keep brooking and we will too. Stay away witch - Hallowe'en was yesterday!

Re the EWCM I've started on grapefruit juice again this month . I've also got Conceive Plus to use this month to help the swimmers survive while I'm away next week.

Jazzy I think zinc is supposed to be good but Biscuits was my expert for advice for that sort of thing. Ooh and maybe brazil nuts (I'm eating them too - can't do any harm eh?)

jazzy283 · 01/11/2011 15:43

can anyone recommend any good vits for DH during this ttc process ? thanks in advance ladies x

jazzy283 · 01/11/2011 15:31

i brought the thermometer months ago just not used it yet lol

jazzy283 · 01/11/2011 15:31

pop that sounds like the perfect lunch :)

PopcornMouse · 01/11/2011 15:31

Jazzy sign up with fertilityfriend.com to record your temps - they have a free package so you don't need to pay (but can for extra perks).
You'll also need a thermometer that takes temps to 2 decimal places :)

jazzy283 · 01/11/2011 15:29

my ewcm seem to vary month to month this month i never had a lot last month loads use conceive plus it makes it a bit fun DH thinks lol lol

PopcornMouse · 01/11/2011 15:26

I had a lovely lunch with a lovely lady who tried something like 5 years for no.2 then 4 years for no.3, which she's currently humongous with. It was lovely to see her looking so happy, and to have lunch with someone who knew that it's not always plain sailing (she knows I'm ttc). And I ate my not inconsiderable weight in icecream which is always nice :o

jazzy283 · 01/11/2011 15:26

ooo one thing i did wanna ask im thinking bout monitoring temps this month but not really sure what im looking for any advice lol im a bit Confused bout it all

PopcornMouse · 01/11/2011 15:23

I think EWCM varies from person to person, and I shouldn't worry if you don't obviously get it. I personally get stupid amounts of the stuff Blush

jazzy283 · 01/11/2011 15:23

Far is that b6 complex 100 ur on ? This is not going to be my month ladies but thanks for all the positive thoughts she is deffo here :( :( but hey alwyas nxt month lol lol how can a morning be so positive grrrrrrrrrr witch lol lol vino for me tonight so always an up side ha ha ha

Hey bean im new to this thread too :)

ScrambledSmegs · 01/11/2011 15:22

Hmm. Will give 50mg some more time then. Thanks!

Im in a grump today and hate my job. Can anyone give me a good reason to keep doing it? DH thinks I should quit and do something else, but he's very vague about what that is!

Munkiii · 01/11/2011 15:14

Afternoon Brookers!

Welcome Bean nice to you.

DH has had two SA both came back normal, so we know the issues are with me! But even that is a step in the right direction.

Oh and I don't root either!

Hope you are all having good afternoons. I just keep thinking everytime I go to the loo I will find AF started and it will be game over....

Sorry to be me me me but thanks for brooking for me! I shall return the favour I promise.

Stasi · 01/11/2011 15:14

Welcome Bean

For EWCM some people drink grapefruit juice, which is meant to help I think. At least, the ladies doing it think it helps. I've never had much CM, but really don't like grapefruit juice, so I won't be trying it.

I bought Pre-seed and Conceive Plus this month. Pre-seed is mostly an internal one it seems, and comes with a syringe type applicator (not used yet, will try this month). The Conceive Plus we've been using for a while, no babies yet, but does make SWI more comfortable.

As for rooting around, I tried it a couple of times during my last AF. The cervix is meant to be at it's lowest and easiest to find then. I think I maybe found it the third time trying, but it was only just within my reach at that point. As you get more fertile it moves further away, so I don't hold out much hope of finding it now!

I'm on CD10, with ov predicted from CD11-13 according to FF. I've got SWI planned every couple of nights. I had to plan it this month, as the wedding is on Sat afternoon, and we'll be sleeping apart on Friday. My DP is very good at the planned SWI, though I try and make things feel a little more spontaneous by varying the time of day, then I've got a few pairs of sexy underwear, and I'll make sure I'm wearing one on SWI day. Like a silent reminder, and a little encouragement for him.

beangrower · 01/11/2011 14:43

I've been told to root and I've been told not need to root - but not convinced I can tell either way. Having used OP sticks for a good while and getting a regular smiley face around cd12 pretty much every month I've decided that's as good an indicator as any for now. I was concerned that there wasn't much CM at all so keep trying to drink lots of 02 and have purchased some of the baby-friendly lubricant. Other than that not sure what to I can do to up the flow, so to speak (other than get as jiggy as possible of course). Grin

GenericDietCola · 01/11/2011 14:26

Just to set the record straight - I don't go rooting either (there's nothing wrong with it, it's just not my sort of thing!). I just noticed rather a lot of the stuff last night so I decided to show DH my boobs seduce DH just in case.

farfallarocks · 01/11/2011 14:17

Hi bean I don't go rooting around for the cervix but I do get the egg white stuff, I check for it but you don;t need to route around too much I have found.

I am taking 100 B6, no side effects yet. LP slightly longer one month and shorter the next but you do need 3 months for it to work!

I think clomid makes you ovulate more strongly so can hel[p with progesterone production as well but not always!

beangrower · 01/11/2011 14:13

Can you really get egg whites at CD6? Gosh, I didn't have a clue... Not v confident about the CM checking. The plumbing feels quite different since DS had fun at the fair down there. Half the time I wonder where my cervix is hiding, but I gather that it's meant to be a bit shy at the wrong time of the month...

biscuits sounds like you'll have to talk to one of the buyers at TM Lewin. Cords are definitely it, and they need to stock em.

beangrower · 01/11/2011 14:07

Hi scrambled

Not sure about Vit B6 either sorry. Would have thought Clomid would have some impact. The acupuncturists all reckon they can help with this but depends on whether you're a believer.

Stasi - well done on resisting the thread. A proper worker. Yes - the things we do indeed. Ambush, cajole and plot - just a few of the tools in our box. Very helpful to know different options for SA. I will certainly suggest to the doc that he'll be up for the test and go from there. I didn't expect him to take the vits but he is doing it for me. He's very happy with DS and isn't actually terribly keen on one more. Feeling his age a little I do believe. But he says he doesn't want to disappoint me and we shouldn't stop trying. What a sweetheart. Don't like ramraiding him into more babies. Our first came along so fast he'd barely got used to being my beau... (though we've known each other for 25 years, we were a bit slow to realise we were meant for lurve).

Anyway - good luck for SWI (am guessing what that one means) and hope it's fun too. Yes, FUN. Fingers and toes and what all else crossed for you.

x

TheLittleFriend · 01/11/2011 14:03

Hi all, and welcome newbies.

just a quick one - Scrambled I am also in the ridiculously short lp club and taking 50mg b6. Am thinking of upping it to 100mg if no bfp by new year. It is good to know clomid could help, but I can't bear the thought of any medical intervention yet (apart from tests). Keep me updated if you have any luck with anything & i'll let you know if I try anything new!

Biscuitsandtea · 01/11/2011 14:03

Hmmm, yes, his legs are indeed the issue! He gets jeans from either Gap or Levis and they're long enough (I think he gets a 36) but with smart casual trousers very few places sell them in a 36. Even Gap don't in the UK (but they do in the US). Also, because of the fit of trousers being a bit tighter than his jeans even some 36's don't fit properly unless he never puts anything in his pockets, which isn't entirely practical. So we really struggle to find smart casual trousers.

Suits are fine from TM Lewin as they sell them unfinished at the bottom and measure them to you exactly and then sew them up for you when you order. So that works well.

GenericDietCola · 01/11/2011 14:00

Sorry, been awol for a bit - rl getting in the way!

Maybe ooh your pup is gorgeous. I miss my dog - I had to give her away due to circumstances. She now lives beside the seaside and is very happy and I do get updates from her new owner. You are soooo preggo by the way. PIAR please. Tomorrow?

Imps hope your meeting goes well. I'm starting Christmas meal and booze planning too - hurrah! We are having everyone to ours this year, which I am thrilled about because it means no travelling and lovely food made by me!

Munkii I am brooking for you.

Farfalla where do you work and can I come and work there? Everyone is pregnant! Hope you are doing OK. Sorry about DH's issues appearing again. I hope things happen tonight. I know what you mean about looking too obvious and getting him even more nervous, but sometime the simple approach is all that is needed eg getting changed in front of him - just hope that he doesn't start thinking 'eh up she must be ovulating' and getting all worried.

Jazzy and Bean hello and congratulations on your as yet unconfirmed pregnancies.

Biscuits sorry you are poorly sick.

Agree re over-use of 'mummy'. We do refer to ourselves as mummy and daddy at home for the benefit of DD, but she has been known to call us 'babe' or 'darling' if she's heard us say that to each other

Solars I really do hope the clomid does it for you.

Popcorn I recommend 30 Day Shred too. Hard but only 20 min per day and She Gets Results!

It's cd 6 for me and the egg whites were in town yesterday (weirdly early) so we've started the SWI. I hope I will ov early this cycle as I'm away from Sat to Wed with work and there's a good chance I will ov while away so I may be needing some of this Nordic sperm off the Internet...

beangrower · 01/11/2011 13:57

LOL biscuits - I think DP has geography teacher leanings but in fact knows an awful lot about fish (in a Hugh F Whittingstall kinda way - saving them from the treacherous supertanker trawlers etc). Which works with the outfit, I do believe.

So it's a good pair of cords for Christmas for your DH. Recommend retro stores, but should I gather from those measurements that extra-long legs may be an issue? I guess we humans were all a bit shorter in the late 70s...

You could go cords with an ankle cuff - my DS has two smashing pairs from HnM!

Biscuitsandtea · 01/11/2011 13:57

fx means 'fingers crossed' I think.

No idea on B6 or clomid and short LPs though :(
