Morning rat smackers! Long time no see. I've been AWOL for a bit as was away for over a week & then my iPhone was playing up. There has been over a 1000 posts so I can't possibly catch up I'm afraid. I've had a quick skim through & I see that Ninja got a BFP!!!
So so pleased for you Ninja GrinGrin

Really sorry to see Cake go too, If you are still lurking, you will be missed & I really hope it all works out for you Thanks

Sorry so many of you have been poorly, I've brought some homemade sweet potato & chorizo soup with me.

Hello to the newbies Smile

ScrambledSmegs · 02/11/2011 09:20

Bleurgh. Sick all night. Feel better now so in work. Wish I wasn't. Sad

Am never eating a sainsburys sandwich again...

BeedleTheBard · 02/11/2011 07:34

biscuits glad you're feeling better.

Can't believe you out sneaked us maybe Grin

I'm 13 dpo, and whilst I'm still brooking that AF doesn't arrive I'm also brooking that she at least doesn't arrive today (not expected tomorrow) or it will screw up my chances next month as I'll be away with work just before the crucial time.

I had a bit of a metallic taste in my mouth just now but I think I'd just bitten my lip!! No other exciting symptoms to report.

possiblemaybebaby · 02/11/2011 07:06

Hurrah Biscuits Choccy digestives are fine, the fact that they are called digestives gives them the medical go ahead, no?!

Last month I didn't really have AF, just potted for 10 days, but had some bloods, and everything fine, so looks like just an annovulatory cycle (how did I never notice things like this before TTC?!)

I think if I haven't come on by the weekend I will test, but I don't think I will get that far Smile

Biscuitsandtea · 02/11/2011 07:00

Remind me what happened last mth Maybe?

So you're waiting until you're properly late before testing I take it? Might we coax a test out of you at the weekend?

And Beedle when were / are you due and what are your dpo stats?

I feel better today and in fact have already eaten 3 or 4 chocolate digestives Blush

possiblemaybebaby · 01/11/2011 22:02

Biscuits glad you are feeling a tad better.

Musical I don't know what you are talking about Wink

Ninja I hope he does, but I know it is still going to be an early start Grin

NinjaChipmunk · 01/11/2011 21:43

now thats an entrance to be proud of.

Imps7 · 01/11/2011 21:38

What do we want?
POSITIVE PEE STICKS!
When do we want them?
NOW!

Biscuitsandtea · 01/11/2011 21:06

It was more than a year here too after DS Blush. Poor DH.....

NinjaChipmunk · 01/11/2011 20:47

Hello! bean glad you found the thread and have settled in. Hope everyone else is well?
little it was at least a year for me and dp after having ds, if not a bit longer. I think that's why he was very obliging with the ttc....
maybe at what point will you piar and put us out of our misery? Hope Otis lets you sleep tonight.
imps I like your swi plan for your dh, giving control yet staying in control...

Biscuitsandtea · 01/11/2011 20:07

Evening all, thank you for your sympathy today Smile. I have just braved a piece of toast to see how that goes....

I think I am feeling a little better though Smile

Hope I'm better tomorrow....

Sorry I can't remember everything else I should be commenting on xx

TheLittleFriend · 01/11/2011 19:32

I'm feeling very lucky that so far my dp is pretty much willing to oblige with swi whenever I feel necessary! probably because we didn't have sex for a year after dd so he's still making up for that

musicalmrs · 01/11/2011 19:32

Maybe - have you still not PIARed?!

Far, I remember your pain. I eventually stopped nagging DH about it and just surrupticiously made him want to SWI! ;) However, it often wasn't effective during the key moments of the month, typically...

Imps, glad your redundancy consultation went well - you sound so clued in and fabulous! Would have loved to have been a fly on the wall!

Popcorn - how lovely to know someone lovely like that, who's happy despite the hardship of having to try so hard.

Welcome Jazzy and Bean! Bean, I made my DH take some supplements. He didn't seem to mind too much.

I am once again trying not to kill a Facebook friend today, who has posted about her bump - argh! Mustnotexplodemustnotexplode...

possiblemaybebaby · 01/11/2011 19:26

Evening Rat Smackers.

Biscuits how are you feeling now?

Far I hope you have managed to work your womanly charm on DH. Sometimes when my DH is too tired, I throw a strop and tell him I will leave him alone with a turkey baster. Needless to say, this doesn't always work in my favour Hmm

Glad your meeting went well Imps

Imps7 · 01/11/2011 18:54

Oh Farfalla I SO feel your pain! I think OH have really moved on from those issues (touch wood). For the last couple of months I've marked prime SWI dates on the calendar at the start of my cycle (as at that point the pressure is off plus it gives him time to get used to the idea!) and then when it comes to prime shagging time I say to him in the morning "If you fancy a shag tonight, it would be good timing, but it's up to you - if you're tired/not up for it there's no problem at all. You know that I'll always be up for it however." This I find to work for the following reasons:

  1. it makes him feel in control of things (the feminist in me should object strongly to this, but I want a baybee so I'll turn a blind eye for once...)
  2. it doesn't make him worry that I'm so desperate for a baybee that I'll hate him if he can't come up with the goods (so to speak); and
  3. he can dwell all day on the thought that I'll be up for it later...

Romance really doesn't come into TTC, does it Wink

Jazzy - hello! Welcome! Congratulations on your automatic pregnancy!

Sorry to all you poorly folk. My sickness last Thursday only lasted until 6pm - an hour later I was starving, ate the huuuuuuuuuuuuugest dinner which stayed down. By Friday I was absolutely fine. Odd.

Redundancy consultation meeting went well - I really wouldn't have wanted to be the partner who was in there running it - I spent quite a lot of time slagging her off and questioning her input into the team. Awkward. Mwah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!! Grin

Biscuitsandtea · 01/11/2011 18:09

Thanks Popcorn Smile

Retires under the duvet with the remainder of the chicken soup from earlier.

Stasi · 01/11/2011 17:40

Far No idea if this would work generally, but last time my DP was too tired, I gave him sympathy, we went to bed, turned out the lights... and I quietly sighed and said I was feeling all turned on. He decided he wasn't soo tired after all...

Jazzy when you sign up to fertility friend they send you an email 'course' for a week I think. Teaches you about all the hormones and signs, and how to chart your temp and check your CM etc. I found it informative and useful, though I knew a lot of it already, I hadn't really learnt about the 'science' background - what hormones are active when, and how that influences your cycle.

I think I'll start taking multi vits again this month, and for the DP too. We took them for the first 6 months, but weren't really sure if it was making any difference, and it was expensive to buy them all. Takes a few months to work though right, so if I buy them now I should get myself an ironic BFP.

PopcornMouse · 01/11/2011 17:20

I'll go, biscuits!

Biscuitsandtea · 01/11/2011 17:17

Anyone want to go and get ds from nursery for me?

farfallarocks · 01/11/2011 17:13

Indeed. When we do it, its amazing and at the weekend its often twice a day but he is always so knackered in the week! Argh!
I thought we had got over this last month but no, sigh!

Anyway, am going home early so I can shave my legs
p.s. I am hot honest, now I just need to get my DH to think so

GenericDietCola · 01/11/2011 17:02

Oh God Farfalla I totally understand your frustration. I think the trick is to make them think it's their idea, but then how the heck do you do that if they are oblivious to your womanly charms?

Yay re only 2 brazils a day - my packet should last ages (but I won't need it as I will be immaculately upduffed this cycle)
