The old thread seems to have run out of room... I'm hoping this works as a continuation...

Hi All, I'm back at home after a very long morning in the hospital. In for 8am but not in the surgery until 12.20. Very thirsty!
They only got 8 eggs so I'm feeling a little disappointed. They're talking ICSI which in my view isn't great, but I don't know all that much about it. Everything is crossed now that a good number fertilise tomorrow....
blacktreacle have you called your nurses? You may just be having a reaction to the drugs, but it's worth checking to find out.
I'm off to bond with the sofa & an episode of Glee before DH returns with DS.

Hi all...
Teds - I am so happy about your Egg Collection and good luck with ET tomorrow. also clo - congrats with the BFP - how lovely.

I have some very sad news this end - we had our 7 week scan today and the nurse couldn't find any sign of the embryos having implanted... we are absolutely devastated and we were told it was a chromosome defect in the embryos that caused this. So i have to stop the pessaries now and wait for the sac to pass (hopefully) naturally, otherwise it will be a D&C for me - unpleasant. Anyway we have decided to go for it again - maybe in january and maybe with THe Lister - any thoughts about them? We luckily have 2 FET grade 4 embryos from this cycle, so hopefully one of those will work?!?!?

Hope you are all well the rest of you
Z B xx

blacktreaclecat · 10/11/2011 17:08

Good luck for ET Teds
Bugsy- I used Emla cream put on an hour before for all my jabs, it really helped.
Xxx

Teds77 · 10/11/2011 13:54

Very quick update from me. We managed 3 eggs - we had a 4th follicle that looked pretty good and a smaller 5th one so we were a little disappointed - and then two fertilised which is identical to our last (failed ) cycle.

Anyway, the lovely good news I've just had is that both these embies have reached four cells and are good quality on day two. Whoop whoop! Last time, one embie got to 3 cells and one just to 2 cells on day 2 and then neither grew anymore by day 3.

ET is booked for tomorrow.

Still feel very nervous but feeling pretty positive today.

Love and ((hugs)) to all x

P.S. I've put the pessaries in my front bottom on both cycles with exception of just before ET. Both Guys and Lister advised this Grin

MrsMigginslovespies · 10/11/2011 11:46

Hello all, hope all well. Glad you had a nice evening with your sister Cloclo and good to take your mind off things, as you say. Think I'm going to give 30 day shred a miss this time, as meant to be taking it easy and not exercising too much at the mo (as if I was anyway!). But sounds fun. In my youth, I used to go to British Military Fitness in the parks in London and I loved it. Very hard work, but good fun and really saw results. Recommend to anyone (but not while preggers, obviously!).

Am all packed for my scan again tomorrow, so fingers crossed. I really want to start stims tomorrow night. Have felt quite achey this week, so hope that the fluid and other gunk is moving away and draining and that's why it's tender.

Off to take puppy out, so have a good day, take care all, and will be back Sat morning with results. Eek!

x

bugsylugs · 10/11/2011 08:57

I used progesterone front entrance no problems just a bit gloopy.

it stings it stings it stings. Guess I must be a big wuss.

Cloclo15 · 09/11/2011 23:39

Thanks Bugsy, the spotting seems to have stopped for the moment, fingers crossed it stays away. However I'm thinking of changing progesterone to front entrance tomorrow as I keep getting upset stomach so I will be on the lookout in case that sets it off again.

Had a lovely evening with my sis who came up from London (my hometown) for a course in Brum tomorrow so is staying over tonight. We went out for a bite to eat and it took my mind off it for a few hours which is good. Got a full day teaching tomorrow and parents evening so I will likely be knackered but won't have time to worry either.

I am not overweight but with all the bloating etc I already feel like I don't fit any of my work trousers and trying to wear nice knitted dresses to work instead as they are comfier than straining at a waistband all day!

Hope everyone else is ok, Teds I hope your EC went ok, any news on ET?

bugsylugs · 09/11/2011 20:36

cloclo congratulations. I had slight d/c and bleeding with DS. Lots of women bleed have brown d/c and go on to have healthy LO's think womanly had as well def someone from this thread. So think positive, good evidence for it but I know you will worry.
mrsMiggins shred 30 is an exercise dvd, by Gillian cannot remember surname sure Glasto will say. If you have heard of fatest loser or whatever it is called, tv program of very large people going into a boot camp she was one of the trainers in the American edition. Good hard workout in 20 mins. Not ideal to start in 2 ww, or if in early pregnancy but has been good fun will stop if I get to ET. My biceps are appearing
glasto I like shred but have only done L1 D5 i think have already lost count. Am finding it easier but am only using cans as weights, and obviously only doing knee press ups. Am vastly overweight bit silly as we are paying for this treatment and better results if not so lardy as me ho hum.
teds how did it go? sending music disco ball champers and canapes anyway.

Off for a tescos finest meal to mark starting DR tomorrow

MrsMigginslovespies · 09/11/2011 17:48

Am pricking up ears: what's 30 day shred pray tell?!

Cloclo15 · 09/11/2011 17:27

Thanks Glasto, I only POAS on Sunday for the first time and already have a line of 5 tests!

BlackTreacle I seem to have stopped the spotting yesterday but this hasn't made me feel much better. I just can't seem to get my head around the idea that this might be real! DH tells me not to stress about it but this is easier said than done. When is your first scan?

glastochick · 09/11/2011 14:48

Congrats cloco Smile. I remember waiting for the scan with DS. I was obsessed with POAS. I think I did one every day, and then two on the morning of the scan. DH spent a fortune popping out to Boots and Tesco Grin

Oooh Bugsy, what do you think of the 30 day shred? I really need to do something drastic. Been comfort eating for the national team since decided to try for DC2, and I refuse to buy a new pair of trousers for work in a larger size unless they're maternity ones!

Hope EC went ok yesterday Teds

Oh Pink, so sorry to hear about your BFN. Hugs.

Glad the root canal went ok MrsMiggins. I had two done on maternity leave (only way I could have afforded them to be honest). Not a pleasant experience. Think the worst part was not being able to console myself with a cup of tea and digestives afterwards Grin

blacktreaclecat · 09/11/2011 13:47

Cloclo I've got weird brown discharge too. Trying not to worry about it. I got to 13 weeks earlier in the year before we lost the baby (not a mc) and I had it then too so I think this is how I am pg. I'm on utrogestone pessaries and I think they are irritating my cervix as I have a cervical erosion. So it could be the same for you? Or it could be implantation- that can be one bleed or very low level for a while. Could even be a bit of bleeding left over from ET.
Zeebee good luck for your scan
Bugsy Care Notts are great aren't they? Been very impressed.

Cloclo15 · 09/11/2011 11:49

Well it's an official positive. Got a scan in three weeks. Don't really know how I'm going to get through them - I have every digit crossed permanently that phoebe (3BB grade blast - DH thought it was very amusing) stays in there. The nurse did say there was a good pink line there and they have been getting stronger over the last few days. She didn't really know what the spotting was - she said it could be me healing after so many eggs collected but I think it's unlikely :/

bugsylugs · 08/11/2011 20:24

glastochick so sorry I spelt your name wrong that was being up at stupid o'clock
zeebee let us know how the scan goes good luck we are all rooting for you and wallace and gromitt.
clo do not worry about the colour of the line great that there has been no more d/c.

36 hrs until jab not counting or anything. just done 30 day shred!!! so feeling a bit virtuous shouldn't be as should have done some exercise for the last 6 months> where have they gone.

bugsylugs · 08/11/2011 20:20

pink what rotten rotten luck so sorry. Do take time for yourself cry and be miserable and when able pick yourself up a bit at a time.

Cloclo15 · 08/11/2011 19:28

Oh and Zeebee - good luck with the scan, I'm sure they are bedding in nicely :)

Cloclo15 · 08/11/2011 19:26

Really sorry Pink sending hugs and hope for a positive result next time.

I did another test this morning with FMU and cheap strip and pink line was darker than yesterday afternoon, though nowhere near as dark as the control line. My FR test on Sunday was clearly positive straight away. Got all my fingers and toes crossed for tomorrow (OTD), our appt is at 10.45. Of course even if its good news I don't think I'll ever feel less anxious about it all, there are so many hurdles to overcome. I didn't have any brown discharge today though which made for a nice change.

Hope EC went well Teds?

MrsMiggins, glad your root canal went well. I was always really tired on the downregs so I don't envy you your extra week! :(

MrsMigginslovespies · 08/11/2011 18:28

Ahh, Pink, I'm so sad for you. Am also sending choccies, wine and much sympathy. I'm at the Chelsea and Westminster and so far, they've been wonderful. I do have a long history with them too which helps, but very pleased so far. Feeling tired again today and bit sore from my tooth. Low energy, not helped by feeling it never actually got properly light here.

Hope everyone has a good evening and snuggles down early! x

blacktreaclecat · 08/11/2011 17:06

I'm sorry pink. sending you hugs and wine.

zeebee1 · 08/11/2011 14:27

Teds - i hope today goes well - or is going well for you as I type this... you will enjoy the drugs - I certainly did Wink!
anyway hope you can take some nice recouperating time at home for a few days doing nothing... you deserve it.
MrsMg so glad you had your root canal done - i've had it once - not nice but at least you feel nothing - although I remeebr the smell of the tooth as they drilled down being YUCK...
clo good news - keep positive - I am sure it's just the "implanting".
hello glasto good luck on your journey - at least you know what to expect - this thread is lovely and very very comforting all the way through....

I'm having a scan on thursday this week to see how things are progressing with Wallace & Gromitt - fingers crossed all will be well! [PRAY] emoticon!

Bye for now
zb x

zeebee1 · 08/11/2011 14:20

pink I am so so so sad and sorry for you - what a horrible result. I have been watching your progress on here - it's such a rollercoaster isn't it - luck of the bloo*y draw! We are at Guys hospital in London Bridge and I cannot fault them. They have been absolutely amazing throughout. I woul drecommend them highly.
Sending you some virtual CHOCOLATE and Brew
ZBxx

Pinkforboys · 08/11/2011 14:11

B.F.N. (and F doesn't stand for Fat)
Have follow up with consultant on Monday and large bar of chocolate to hand today. Sad

I'm afraid I haven't got many smiles to share today, though obviously I am really pleased for Clo this week. Good luck with the stabbing bugsy.
Anyone else in London? I'm already thinking forward to changing clinics....

mrsmigginshope the crumble helped. Glad your tooth is on the way to behaving. It must be such a relief to ahve got it sorted. Well done

gastrochick welcome we are at Care Nott

Had jab learning and consent form signing today. And a lovely time in IKEA but my word how crowded it gets for breakfast never knew it was so cheap. so onto DR on Thurs at last, only about 6months late!!!
Waves to all

MrsMigginslovespies · 07/11/2011 19:54

Ooh, Cloclo, exciting news so far! Fingers and toes crossed for you that it's good (sounds it so far). Hope you're ok tonight, Blackcat, and hello to you, Glastochick. May this thread be a lucky one for you again, and please send some of your previous luck our way Wink. Teds, tons of luck for tomorrow! Waving and sending Brew your way for a successful treatment.

You'll all be thrilled to know that I had my root canal done today at a fabulous (and expensive private) place in edinburgh and as much as a root canal be, it was a joy! Sometimes, you do get what you pay for (without trying to feel guilty, because my NHS chap couldn't treat me). Feel so relieved it's all over now, especially before egg collections etc later in the month. And hope that I'm finally out of pain.

Beginning to feel a bit tired now, esp as have been down regging since 22nd Oct. Really hope that this Friday's scan gives me the green light to start stimming as want to crack on! Had more acupuncture today to try and shift some gunk away from precious knackered little ovary.

Off for homemade crumble and custard in front of tv with DH and puppy then bath and bed as feeling bit fragile now. TTFN x

Cloclo15 · 07/11/2011 18:33

Wow Teds, that has come around so quickly! Good luck - do you know how many follies you have grown?

Not counting my chickens yet, did another test on a cheap Internet strip (not an early detection one) when I got in from work tonight. Urine was quite dilute but managed to get a faint line. Will try again tomorrow morning. Watery brown discharge continues, bit more of it today but much lighter in colour and more watery. Not sure what it is but it's very worrying. The nurses at the hospital said it could be a sign of pregnancy or AF which isn't very encouraging. All I can do is wait now really.

Teds77 · 07/11/2011 18:08

Woo hoo clo lovely news!

Welcome glasto

EC for me tomorrow. Eek!!
