The old thread seems to have run out of room... I'm hoping this works as a continuation...

Hi All, I'm back at home after a very long morning in the hospital. In for 8am but not in the surgery until 12.20. Very thirsty!
They only got 8 eggs so I'm feeling a little disappointed. They're talking ICSI which in my view isn't great, but I don't know all that much about it. Everything is crossed now that a good number fertilise tomorrow....
blacktreacle have you called your nurses? You may just be having a reaction to the drugs, but it's worth checking to find out.
I'm off to bond with the sofa & an episode of Glee before DH returns with DS.

Evening all, hope everyone's well!

So, scan went well again today and everything is growing away nicely. All set now for egg collection Friday morning, with one more scan and blood test on Wed. Feeling tired today but geared up for later in the week. Would have liked another acupuncture session, but can't find anyone free this week. Hey ho.

Going to have an early night and take it easy tomorrow.

I'm hoping that no news is good news with everyone. Hugs x

bugsylugs · 20/11/2011 20:29

cloclo not surprising you are having a down day all those hormones and all you have been through. no advice other than to keep trying the things that relax you and give you some positivity do not be hard on yourself you are allowed to have ups and downs. Hugs

Thanks for suggestions folks. thanks blacktracle we are a trek from care as well but the other way. Need to phone tomorrow for down reg checking scan hope they will let me do it on Tues we shall see. Having fun juggling meetings already!!!
Hope everyones weekend was ggod. Am really shattered and thirsty is this the meds?

MrsMigginslovespies · 19/11/2011 13:06

Ahh, hang in there Cloclo. You're doing brilliantly, but you've just had a bit of a rough ride recently. It doesns eem to be one step at a time, though, doesn't it. Each hurdle feels like a miracle.

I'm using ZW's IVF one too, and it is good so far. Also need to remember to use AJ's Positivity too! Am pleased with follies so far and hope they continue to ripen nicely. Speaking of crying, is anyone else in tears every time the new John Lewis advert comes on?! I love it, and the song. Sob! x

Cloclo15 · 19/11/2011 13:01

Glad to hear that the stimming is going well MrsMiggins, 8 follicles sounds like a good number. I wouldn't wish the amount I had on anyone, I couldn't stand up straight the last 2 days before EC and I don't think it really did us any favours in the end.

Glad you had a good holiday Bugsy. I listened to Andrew Johnson Positivity quite a bit during the 2ww and made me sleep well at least!

Think I need to listen to it again as I am absolutely terrified waiting for my scan in a week and a half, especially after what happened to Zeebee. I cried when i read what happened to her, mind you I am crying at all sorts at the moment! I just can't bear the thought of it all being swept out from under us like that after coming so far.

Sorry for the negativity guys, I think I'm having one of those days!

blacktreaclecat · 19/11/2011 10:28

In Leeds- Caitlin Allen. She is lovely.
Zita- the ivf one. Found it quite helpful. Now using Andrew Johnson Deep Sleep. Have his pregnancy one but it is for later pregnancy. Don't feel comfortable with it yet.

bugsylugs · 18/11/2011 22:47

blacktreacle posted elsewhere but where did you have your acupuncture.
Which zita west cd's do people use. Holiday over was lovely,
Hope all well

MrsMigginslovespies · 18/11/2011 18:56

Glad to help, but they're quite easy to work once done a couple of times. My scan news: all going v well and they can clearly see 8 follicles so far which they're very pleased with at this point. Blood test also going in the right direction, so am pleased am responding, as wasn't sure for a bit because of cyst. Hurrah. Insh'allah, egg collection in a week. V exciting.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend and manages to enjoy the lovely weather for a bit longer before the frost finally comes! x

closelight9 · 17/11/2011 21:10

thank you ladies

for all your replies I've been doing my injections in the evening's the nurse did show me how to prep and use the pen. I'm getting the hang of it nowSmile

bugsylugs · 16/11/2011 21:45

quick check in from bluestone having a lovely time. clo hope you are feeling better.
I was told did not matter when I took meds either DR or stim as long as at same time. Suggested DR am and stim eve. Stim at our clinic no later than 8.30 due to timing of hcg and collection. No real symptoms from dr hope they are working but 2 days ago did get f 'flush' nil since.

MrsMigginslovespies · 16/11/2011 21:32

Ooh, interesting info cloclo about downregs in the morning. Odd how there is so much different info. Sorry about the throwing up, hope you're feeling a bit better! Had another horrible headache today, suspect hormones. Off for early bed before long drive to London tomorrow to start many scans. Night all x

Cloclo15 · 16/11/2011 07:04

I was told to take downregs in the morning and stims when I liked so long as it was at the same time each day. I did mine about 5-6pm.

Been up at 5.30 this morning throwing up - joyous :(

MrsMigginslovespies · 15/11/2011 21:13

Hello, welcome to the club! I'm on Gonal F too and I take mine at exactly the same time every night, so around 10pm. I was told that it doesn't matter what time each night you take it, as long as it's at the same time. I'm also on down regs too, so do two shots each night at 10. Did she also explain and show you how to the prep the pen etc when you use it for the first time (ie a new one)? Good luck, it is exciting Smile.

closelight9 · 15/11/2011 21:05

Blacktreacle, glad to hear you saw the heartbeat, that must be such a relief!

I'm not too well at all, my stomach bloating and pains was so bad I wasn't sleeping and this meant I also had a bad cold, I've been told to stay off all this week and see GP about my upset stomach. I went yesterday and they gave me peppermint oil capsules, but my (TMI) diarrhoea is now worse if anything although it is menthol fresh and to top it off I have a massive pile (which bled and freaked me out massively!). So not sure I'm going to keep taking those.

So overall feeling rather under the weather. Also seem to be constantly feeling hungry with that kind of gnawing feeling you get in your stomach even only an hour or so after eating. Wondering if this is a symptom? :/

MrsMigginslovespies · 15/11/2011 17:59

Yay indeed blacktreacle, hope all ok today for you. How you doing, Teds?! Anything fun you can do to takke your mind off things? Acupuncture also good for stress.

Cloclo how are you feeling? Cold any better?

Yes, am stimming like a crazy lady now. Am on double the dose he first thought I'd need, so feeling bit crampy at times. Have my first scan on Friday and hope things are growing as they should be. All being well, I MIGHT have my egg collection therefore on 25th (but that's assuming everything happens when it should). Feel ok actually, just a bit tired and crampy like before I ovulate, and oddly fancy chocolate a lot, which is not like me. Been having regular acupunture and taking things a bit easy when I can. Been listening to my Zita West CD which tends to send me to sleep! Have got most of my Christmas shopping done now in case I feel dreadful and can't get my act together need to take things slowly in few weeks so trying to get organised.

Hope you all have a nice evening and waves to all, x

Teds77 · 15/11/2011 13:15

Yay for the heartbeat blacktreacle! Sounds awful and hope things are still good today.

MrsM are you IVF-ing now you are on the gonal f? Is there another scan soon?

Fatima glad to hear that it's all systems go.

Am mentalling on the 2ww.... ahhhhhhhh

x

blacktreaclecat · 14/11/2011 19:24

A little update. I had a scare on Saturday, went to the loo, looked down and it was full of blood. Freaked out!
Went to epu today and there was a tiny 6 week blob with a flickering heartbeat. The bleed has settled to a brown discharge. Obviously still very early days but fingers crossed
Xxxx

FatimaLovesBread · 13/11/2011 21:11

Cloclo Congratulations and good luck for the scan

Zeebee so sorry for your sad news

We had some good news this week. They've found a recipient for our egg share who "loves me" Grin so all being well we're looking at starting a cycle in January and EC in February!!

MrsMigginslovespies · 12/11/2011 20:15

ZeeBee, am so sorry to hear your sad news. I hope you're ok and am sending hugs to you. Thoughts are with you all and hope you can look towards January with some new hope.

Cloclo, hope you're feeling not too terrible tonight. Early night and some lemon and honey perhaps?!

Teds, hope you're having a nice quiet weekend so far!

My news: cyst has halved since last week hurrah, so surgeon has started me on double the original dose of Gonal F (eek) last night. So far, so good, and am pleased to have made progress. Fingers crossed it keeps going in the right direction but am concious about huge dose so hope not too horrendous later on. So far, symptoms on deregs have been minimal, so hope it stays that way.

Off for pudding now! Sending waves to you all and good wishes. x

Cloclo15 · 12/11/2011 11:41

Teds, glad your ET went well.

I'm feeling rotten - got a tight chest and cough, hoping this isn't going to affect little embie. I am nervous enough about waiting for scan as it is :( took another test today and it was darker so fingers crossed everything is normal

Teds77 · 11/11/2011 17:24

zeebee so very sory to hear your sad news ((hugs))

Thanks for all the lovely well wishes from everybody else, all went well this morning.

zeebee1 · 11/11/2011 15:45

Wow - thank you to everyone for your very thoughtful and kind words following our loss. Today feels a bit better and we decided to come to my DH's family for the weekend to recouperate and try and come to terms with everything. All good so far (even if we did sob into our breakfast this morning).
I sincerely hope that everyone else here has good luck and sending good vibes to you all... I will be back on here probably January time as we gear up for FET (FINGERS CROSSED)
Bye for now
ZB xx Wink to all your eggs/embryos
