The old thread seems to have run out of room... I'm hoping this works as a continuation...

Hi All, I'm back at home after a very long morning in the hospital. In for 8am but not in the surgery until 12.20. Very thirsty!
They only got 8 eggs so I'm feeling a little disappointed. They're talking ICSI which in my view isn't great, but I don't know all that much about it. Everything is crossed now that a good number fertilise tomorrow....
blacktreacle have you called your nurses? You may just be having a reaction to the drugs, but it's worth checking to find out.
I'm off to bond with the sofa & an episode of Glee before DH returns with DS.

blacktreacle v best wishes for your transfer - hope you had a good experience and are not feeling too tired! pink all the best for your upcoming transfer - it's all very exciting and hotting up on this thread isn't it - thanks for starting it up again, was quite bereft without it.

[coughs nervously] little announcement to make girls: did my test this morning and BFP!!!!!!!!! I had COMPLETELY decided it hadn't worked - AF pains, grumpy in a pre-menstrual way and despite my earlier smell sensitivity I had reconciled myself to having another try. 4.30 am today - clearblue plus - instant result! My clinic have been lovely and I'm in shock. Both DH and had taken today off so that we could spend the day together whichever way it went - so special to be able to walk along the beach in the sun and digest this news. Fingers crossed for a sticker.

Lots of love & luck to everyone - it's the hardest thing and I think we are all soldiers, truly.

The embryologist called this morning and our 8 went down to 5 mature enough to ICSI and of those only 3 have fertilised. So everything crossed that we don't lose any more numbers over night...!!! ET scheduled for Friday pm. Aaaaaghhhh!!!
When are you transferring blacktreacle?

Just marking my place too.

Started my 'micro' injections last night. Combined with the menopur mixing I'm feeling a bit confused with everything this time Confused

EC could be 8 November - less than three weeks. Eek! Shock

8 is a good number pink. Lots of vibes for good fertilisation
I reckon we just post on this thread and the other will disappear down the board.
Feel a lot better today. And good news. Out of 8 embryos 4 were euploid (normal chromosomes). One has stopped growing but we have a hatching blast to go back and possibly 2 to freeze.
I cried with relief when the embryologist rang.

Pink well done you just remember it only takes one. ICSI at least with this they look for the best little swimmers and inj in directly so good chances of good success. Thats what we are having . sending over the champers canapes music etc.

All the rest just trying to catch up and thanks pink for starting this off

After a nightmare journey to the hospital after which I was 15 minutes late for my appointment (not a good way to start the day), I had a successful scan which showed a 'lovely response' apparently. I had 8 follicles on the left and 6 on the right. I caught sight of the sizes for my right, lazy ovary and they seemed to range from about 7-13mm. I'm assuming this is all good as they have told me to keep on with my low dose and come in for my next scan on Friday.
I'm not sure if that is a good number or not? I'm assuming I probably wouldn't get any frosties from 14 follicles?

pink, 8 sounds like a reasonable number, someone I know had 8 and ended up with triplets!
