Stogan good on you, take those ML rights. If you think you'll go back there, maybe don't raise a formal grievance (bit heavy for you to deal with), but you may want to tell HR why you've decided to start ML as early as you can to put that marker down in case of future issues. Just a thought...

coconuts I had to tell ds to stop kicking my tummy as there wasxa baby in there. He looked very confused and then asked me what colour was it. I said it was the same colour as him and left it at that. Will explain the brother/sister/baby in the house thing later.

You also need to keep your midriffs warm, ttc ladies. That's what my acupuncturist used to say anyway. Maybe pop a nice warm vest over your Mr greedy tummies...

That's a bummer about work Stogan. It's good that you've made a decision about it all though.

I think ds knows something is up. He keeps rubbing my tummy and just said he's going to turn himself back into a baby and go and live in there. I really have no idea when I'm going to feel confident enough to tell him what's happening.

So much so that OH and I have decided that once I get the ok at the scan today I'm going in to work to tell them that my last day will be 23rd dec and I'm starting mat leave early. Stuff it, I've tried too hard to get this far and work will not stop me enjoying this pregnancy (and breathe lol)

Looks like my husband won't be going away again for a while so I will be joining you all ttc in early november. Not sure when the date will be as the preds have mucked my cycle up now. I have just started charting for the first time too to try an pinpoint when it has happened.

I also read somewhere that there's a theory that ingesting semen, er, orally is likely to make your body less likely to reject a pregnancy! I realise this is way TMI here but I am thinking of giving it a go :)

Ok, so Dr Google tells me that there's some research regarding IVF that found that exposure to semen around the time of embryo transfer might assist implantation. However, the bad news is that it also found that "uterine contractions" weren't good.

I read that as meaning, crack on but don't enjoy it too much... Pah

Great news Coconut - congratulations! Yes I was there yesterday from about nine until half one. When I was in the waiting area first thing I did have the urge to shout out and ask whether anyone was on MN but it was all a bit too calm for that.

Digi I am with you in thinking I would want to know the sex, BUT I know how dull it can be when your friends know what they are having and they announce the baby is born. It takes away the element of surprise. I wonder if you can find out and keep it to yourself....? Probably not, as it is a huge secret to try to keep and it might slip out or become obvious when you are at the stage of buying gender themed bits and bobs.

stogan same here, I think I'm actually quite keen to know the sex, but DH doesn't want to. It really is up to me at the end of the day as I'm doing all the hard work - but I think I'd quite like to surprise everyone on the day so no-one has any preconceptions about what this baby is going to be like till it's here.

choccypud I remember reading on here something about how if you have sex around the time of implantation (7-10 dpo) then you actually increase your chances of a bfp. There was some sort of research on it. So ever since then I've always 'allowed' DH another couple of goes during the 2ww! So it's not such a famine till AF has come and gone.

Yay I found you all! This is a quick one as I'm having a really busy day, but I just wanted to say congratulations to Iggi and Comedy for the good scans. at the celebration barf afterwards Comedy. Are you feeling really rough?

Comedy - Were you at New Life yesterday? I was there too having intralipids and an appointment with Mr S. He scanned me again, and all is well so far (11+1).

I'm hugely relieved as my GP has agreed to give me Clexane on the NHS. She balked a bit at the price but came good in the end. I also discovered that they messed up sending off the paperwork for my booking in appointment and nuchal scan. I'd been chasing the hospital for ages about the appointment but no-one had bothered to call me back to say that they didn't have any paperwork for me, despite promising that they would on many occasions. So the GP has had to redo all the forms and I had to take it to the hospital myself to be sure that they had it.

Freelance - Really glad the new meds are agreeing with you.

Hello y'all. Way too much to do again for a big post. Wanted to say welcome back to Cheerful! Of course we want you to hang around even though you're not taking the Pred. I can completely understand not taking it. Intralipids must do the same job anyway. Did you know I was on a new treatment too? Additional treatment I should say. It's my second day and so far so good - still got to take the Pred and intralipids as per usual on ovulation and then whenever I get a BFP.

So relieved to hear scans are going well. iggi I hope you're feeling a bit better. Comedy that is indeed brilliant news too.

Talking of vomiting, I am feeling a tiny bit off my food on these new drugs. Hurrah! Maybe I will lose a few pounds before I hit the Pred again imminently.

Love the idea of MASS TTC Choc, Ari and all who are going to sail with us. Well, virtually not in real life of course ...

Digi I am glad you are starting to, at least outwardly, have a few positive moments about the baby. Yes baby! Hopefully you will have every reason to continue doing so.
