Starting up part 2 of this thread since the old one closed at 1000 posts!

iggi lots of luck for today, hope it's nothing - I know it doesn't help but I know lots of women have spotting and/or bleeding in pregnancy and it still goes ok. Definitely call the EPU, get scanned - it's worth it, honestly, at least you will know one way or another. Virtual hugs coming your way.

free I also started AF properly this morning, so looks like we may be both importuning a friendly witch for a good fertility spell on Hallowe'en? I know exactly what you mean about the scary stuff ... a small part of me was actually sort of relieved when I didn't get a BFP purely because it means I don't have to go through the whole worrying about miscarrying all over again. Bizarre, but there it is.

Free is it worth asking Dr S if he has any contacts in the US he can put you in contact with to sign it off? I bet these docs meet up at international conferences quite a bit or perhaps they have a parallel thread on 'docsnet ' called" dealing with patients on pred 2".

Might be worth a try?

freelancegirl · 15/11/2011 18:51

Oh wow cheerful, intralipid live action!

I am mid-logistical nightmare here as pharmacy folk received prescription but can't process. Needs to be a US reg doc. Brother been on hold for 45 mins waiting to see if his doc can do it, and if not who can. Pharmacist working out a cost for nurse and intralipids. Rather worried it is going to be huge. Otherwise might have to wait until next Tues when will be 5 weeks not 4. Fun, fun, fun...

Cheerfulcharlie · 15/11/2011 18:35

Choccy- I'm also 3w 5 days today.

Ari - I have that mthfr (homo on both genes) . Are you just taking the 5mg folic for that or anything else too? Dr S did not seem bothered about it at all.

Any one needing supplies of tests - you can bulk buy the cheap ones and even early FR tests pretty cheap on amazon.

Free- yes i'm on the cyclogest now

As I write this I am having the intralipids a pumpin' through my veins!

Stogan · 15/11/2011 17:57

Woo hoo ari and free as well as choccy, what a day yeeeeeyyyyyyy !!!!!

Well I fell off my chair at work today !! Actually crying with laughter just thinking about it! So big I couldn't bend over and fell right off my chair mid office !! I rolled around for a while and then just got up and carried on working Pah ha ha what a nutter !!! ???????

pureequeen · 15/11/2011 17:53

have updated the chart. so sad writing it all down again but I don't feel so alone seeing everyone elses history. good luck to the ovulators! and well done on the BFPs.

duggs1976 · 15/11/2011 17:52

Agree battery was 8 v 12 ..today is 11 v 9. I wonder if the pred is cumulative it helps our chances each month.

I promise to report on superovulation ..I'll probably have 5 fekkin' follicles and end up with triplets or something hideous and serves me right for being impatient/greedy.

But for less than £200 Inc scan and drugs if it works then I'd say anyone is a candidate!! (let's see first before I try to push it out there!) Wink

Pregnant ladies . . Huge cocoon hugs. The waiter in the buff wants to celebrate tonight with a cheeky appearance so get your orders in xx

freelancegirl · 15/11/2011 16:48

Updating the chart is beyond my tiny mind at the moment but if anyone else can, please do so!

docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AtEN_z1FdjUMdHd6c0xCd2JRd3hXVmtTZXROYVE1OGc#gid=0

Am still mid-messages, voicemails, emails to try to get this prescription. Thinking of you too Comedy for scan on thurs!

batteryhen · 15/11/2011 16:44

OMG!!!!!! 3 x BFP! What wonderful news. I realise of course you are all sat there in terror - but congratulations. You all sound like you are doing the right things, getting appointments etc. I am really pleased. (and a bit emotional!)

Right - ladies on the TTC list. This is our month too. Our mission is for this thread to all be PG by Xmas. We have the tools and the know how. Now crack on.... :)

Comedyworks · 15/11/2011 16:44

Great, great news - it's taken me ages to catch up on today's thread but so lovely to read so many positives - well done up duffers!! When I was pregnant with my ds (tested ay about 14 dpo) the line was do faint I spent ages trying to decide whether I could possibly be pregnant, I was and it was all fine - those were the days!!

Glad you're all getting the intrallips sorted - the first is a bit weird as you don't feel pregnant and think 'what on earth am I doing here?' had my third lot today so that's it for me and it's a bit more real now.

So, so pleased for you all and for the BFNs this month fingers very much crossed that next month will be the one.

Thinking of you tomorrow Iggi for 12 week scan - mine is Thursday - fingers crossed for us both - will we be more confident after successful scans? Probably not!

ColeyOz · 15/11/2011 16:41

Big congratulations choccy, arian and free! So exciting! Thinking of you all during this exciting and emotional time!

duggs1976 · 15/11/2011 16:40

Update the chart . . Update the chart ! Something to aim for for us ttc gang xx

Arianrhod · 15/11/2011 15:20

I still don't know if I'll be able to make the 6th, probably not to be honest as my little girl gets upset if I'm not there for her bedtime (7:30), I'd never be able to get there in time. But I'll have a cup of tea in all our honours .. :)

OP posts:
freelancegirl · 15/11/2011 15:13

In a 'pass me the decaf tea' kinda riot way....

duggs1976 · 15/11/2011 15:12

OMG... officially more in the yacht than the crappy life boat!! Brilliant. It means there is hope. . . Fabulous news ladies. Fabulous. Grin Grin dec 6 is going to be a riot...in a good way xxx

freelancegirl · 15/11/2011 15:11

Agggh!!!!

It is really comforting though to know we are all going through this together.

Arianrhod · 15/11/2011 15:05

OR a really fabulous one if it is, right? :)

I know what you mean .. my cr@ppily overactive brain has already realised that the due date of this one is exactly 3 days one year on of my first due date. Am worrying it's jinxed already :( And my last pregnancy, the due date was 3 days before my DP's 50th birthday next year, I was so elated that it would be a fabulous 50th present for him, so was doubly gutted when it all went pear-shaped.

What a rubbish road we have to walk sometimes ...

OP posts:
freelancegirl · 15/11/2011 14:56

And another thing...

You know how you really don't want to look to the future and work out any dates or anything but you really can't help it? I've known for weeks that if I got pregnant and stayed pregnant this cycle my due date will actually be on my birthday. Could also make for a really crap birthday if it's not a sticky one.

freelancegirl · 15/11/2011 14:39

If we are all there having the same again in 4 weeks time that would indeed be bloody amazing. I am a bit nervous (oh, what that's you say - you all are too...?) as last time on a post-mc thread I was one of three friends that all got a positive on the same day and of course they are all around 20 weeks now and I, well, am not. But of course we really all are in the same boat here too, apart from the odd added chromosomal/silly high rate/thyroid/etc things.

Thanks Ari will be going for a FRER then as soon as anyone else is awake and can drive me! Yes Choccy we are all feeling like that too - potentially futile attempts to stop things going wrong. Any of us might even have a chemical it is so early! But we do have to make every effort, so make every effort we shall.

I know it's morning and it's probably much easier to do these things at night but have also just, er, popped a cyclogest in. Anyone else?

Is it too early for a drink?! Oh...

Arianrhod · 15/11/2011 14:32

They do FRER in the States free, if that helps? euro I use these as starter tests because they're supposed to be reliable early on, and partly because Mr S said to use that one. And then I use ClearBlue Plus, and then CB digi. I have a veritable arsenal of the things!

free good luck with getting the intralipids .. yep, it might be futile for all of us, I have the added battle of higher potential for chromosomal issues too, but as you say, we have to give it all we can.

And I like that moniker ... we could all start the "Fertile but Deadly" group :)

Let's look positive ... we have to do this again at, what, 8 weeks gestation? So that's 4 weeks time? We'll make a date at the NLC for all of us then, shall we? Grin

OP posts:
ChoccyPud · 15/11/2011 14:32

Free loving "fertile but deadly" - so true!

Hope you get intralipids sorted over there. There's a part of me feels a bit weird having the drip before af is even late. I keep having to repeat the mantra about hitting it with all we can I guess.

freelancegirl · 15/11/2011 14:23

The one I just did now was a Poundland one - really cheap (well, a pound as the name suggests...) and just in a pouch so you have to pee in a cup and then dip it. As soon as everyone is up here though I am going to go out to a chemist and see what else I can find.

Got in touch with Louise - they hadn't got last week's emails. I need to call the office and they will do me a prescription. And then as soon as I get that, my brother gets up and I can find out the name of clinic, I can get it faxed to them and start the ball rolling. I realise this might be all futile but got to give it all we can.

I keep wanting to update my facebook status with 'Fertile but Deadly'.

eurochick · 15/11/2011 14:08

Wow, 3 BPFs! Congratulations. It's cluster-duffage! Do you mind if I huddle in a bit closer in case it is catching?

What preggo tests do you use? I've heard superdrug tests are good but there isn't one near me, so I am left wth what Boots offers.

freelancegirl · 15/11/2011 14:00

Missed a clutch of posts there! It's busy here this morning... You have to picture me crouched in the dark on the floor of my brother's spare room - it's not even 6am yet!

Thanks for doing the list Digi. I have never been on a BFP list before - didn't add myself to any pregnancy after mc ones last time. I feel ok being on this one though as it feels as though we really are all in the same boat.

I just emailed DH and he replied back quickly from his meeting on his Blackberry with a big 'gulp'.

Ari and Choccy you're going to be having intralipids together! Agh, I wish I was there too and we could just carry on our conversations as normal :)

It certainly is surreal sitting in a clinic in the middle of Surrey with a drip in your arm. Did I tell you the girl I got chatting to there when I was having mine done - the first question she asked me was 'Do you want a natural birth or a C section'? I was astounded at her confidence it was all going to work out ok. I would have been more fit to answer whether I wanted an ERPC or a natural mc.

Cheerful thanks for the info re the intralipids again. I would say try not to be nervous but I know that's pointless! The intralipids are painless though, take magazines and things to occupy yourself all of you. I might be having them here in my brother's place! Very surreal.

Oh, I don't arrive back in the UK until a week today whoever asked.

ChoccyPud · 15/11/2011 13:54

Ari 10.45 tomorrow. :)

ChoccyPud · 15/11/2011 13:44

Great news Cheerful, def going in the right direction. Didn't know about the delay of hcg getting into urine, thanks for the info, v interesting.

Thanks digi :) I'm 3+5.
