Hey guys!! Have taken the big step of coming of the Pill to TTC another DC. This will be DC number 2 - already have DS who is 15 months old and a DSD who is 7 years. We have spoken about another baby for a while now but it has now become more of a reality now that we have decided to stop using any contraception!! I am so so excited but know all too well about this horrible waiting game of patience which seems to get worse even after a BFP as then it's the painful wait for a 12 week scan!! (although this time I may pay for a private scan) I have had a MC before DS was born so am also aware of not getting to ahead of myself...but I'm so excited nonetheless!! I bought my friend a little present for her brand new (with tags on) baby girl and was so so broody. Cant wait for my turn now!!

Sorry for the long warbling post. This is such a hard time, the pre TTC, the waiting for BFP or BFN etc etc...I am the most impatient person in the world as it is...and to not to be able to tell anyone in RL makes it even harder!!

Hope there will be some ladies in the same boat as me!! Look forward to meeting u and sharing journeys!!

Lots of love, Pip xx

CupOfBrownJoy · 11/11/2011 16:52

Evening all. Hope everyone is set up for a relaxing/exciting weekend*

I'm sort of vaguely intending to give the flat a clean before braving the rush hour over to DP's (or my place in the country, as I prefer to think of it Smile). Then again, I might just sit on the sofa for another hour....

AF about done for this month. I'll be CD 10 Monday so I might just poas (opk) for shits and giggles.... Smile

I just bought 3 more tests to make sure nothing has happened and I'm not imagining things. These weird cramps are throwing me off big time. Hope everyone has a good day Smile

kirrinIsland · 11/11/2011 14:27

3 :( hope you feel better soon.

secret I'd be testing 3 times a day again if I was you

I have managed not to poas yet, which isn't much of an achievement as af isn't due til about Tuesday and I'm not holding out much hope anyway. I haven't burst into tears over nothing today so that's good :)

Fingers crossed for everybody. I had forgotten how frustrating this ttc malarky is :)

3isamagicnumber · 11/11/2011 13:49

Hmph, not a happy bun today!

I have a kidney infection AND AF arrived this morning!! Sad

Didnt think I was pregnant (despite my previous posts saying I had been feeling sick etc, which was true but prob just period pains etc) but I was still hoping sooooo much and just feel deflated. Kidney infection isnt helping either!!

Ah well, at least my cycle seems to be back to its regular 28 days so we'll just have to keep trying for next time!!

xx

MinkyMoodles · 11/11/2011 12:32

Sparkle go for it. Especially if tummy isnt feeling AF crampy!

Cherry have you got a stick to p*$$ on to hand? Go on, for me Wink

I would like to fast forward one week, just to see if my AF turns up! My tum feels odd and too early for AF cramps, here's hoping I'm not imagining things!!

MM xx

Sarah5656 · 11/11/2011 12:19

If your AF is a couple of days late I would test again. Took me 5 days after AF was due to get a very very faint positive so be prepared for a possible BFN as it maybe too early to detect anything. Good luck x

cherrypiew3 · 11/11/2011 12:10

Secret If it was a few days ago when you tested then I would test again.

Minky It may just be to early to test fingers x that AF does not show up.

Kirrin how are you doing are you holding out?

I am really really wanting to POAS but trying to wait for now.

MinkyMoodles · 11/11/2011 09:30

Well I decided I couldn't wait any longer so I got the First Responce out, oooh guess what, a big fat no :(
Grrr I wish I had more patience!
Think I'll wait to see if AF shows up!

I have started my Christmas shopping today too! The majority will be done on black Friday but I am getting my niece and nephew those little kid tough digital cameras so to Amazon I go for those!! I'm trying not to buy any baby stuff til after Christmas when I am past the 12 week mark, but that 50% off Graco car seat is calling my name!!!!

MinkyMoodles · 10/11/2011 22:58

Evening ladies,

Well I've been a teary mess so it's not looking great eh? This early afternoon sickness is doing my head in :(

Cherry I'm trying to hold off until Saturday at the earliest, but I kind of think it'll be a BFN. My POAS addiction is becoming rather a nightmare!!

How's about you? Are you waiting until 16th??

Welcome Dame we're a crazy bunch, but I'm sure you'll have fun, grab a seat

Well I've started my Christmas shopping, yay! I will be organised, I must :(

I'm making some Christmas cakes to give as pressies but that's about my limit!!

MM xx

cherrypiew3 · 10/11/2011 22:49

Welcome DameSmile

Kirrin I feel the same don't think this month is going to be my month but like you said maybe next month.Smile

Minky have you decided which day you will be POAS.

kirrinIsland · 10/11/2011 22:09

Welcome dame :) Have you developed a poas addiction yet? If so, you're in the right place!

Hattie that sounds quirky, and very nice.

I'm very jealous impressed with people making Christmas presents - I haven't got a creative bone in my body. It's Amazon all the way for me :)

Well, I'm achy and a bit tearful so I'm guessing I won't be needing my first responses this month - af must be on it's way :( . Not surprised, ov timing wasn't great this cycle, didn't exactly get to maximise our chances.

YorkshireTeaAddict · 10/11/2011 22:03

Welcome to the mad house Dame Grin x

dameflamingo · 10/11/2011 21:42

May I join the group too? been TTC since April after years of contraceptive pill. cycle doesn't seem to have gone back to normal yet but hoping to be in your cohort!

Hattifattener28 · 10/11/2011 21:33

Cheeser ? huge congratulations! That?s wonderful.

Yorkshire ? I love that you?re making presents. I made all my Christmas presents last year, made chutneys, jams, vinegars and some spiced vodka. Homemade presents are lovely to receive and great fun to make.

For the first time ever I've started my Christmas shopping before the 1st December. Online shopping is so the way forward. I?m going away with the family for Christmas, every year we hire out a different venue. This year we?re staying in an old rail way station on a disused rail way line. Reading that back it sounds like a very bizarre place for Christmas but should be fun.

YorkshireTeaAddict · 10/11/2011 17:39

I love Christmas :o We are having the day to ourselves too :) May see family in afternoon but may just chill out! Lovely!!

CupOfBrownJoy · 10/11/2011 16:18

Secret that sounds like an ideal Christmas Grin

I've just had to change flights as originally DP and I were planning a flying visit home to see my niece for the first time and visit family. Now we have to go for 9 days so that we can do our notice of intention thingy for the wedding at the register office. 9 days with my family! Confused

We'll be having a German Xmas too with the soon-to-be inlaws on the 24th.

Vino CD6 too and fed up. Feels like nothing is happening, just lots of waiting around!

Can't decide whether I want the baby or the wedding dress right at the moment though.... Smile well, both but in which order?!

YorkshireTeaAddict · 10/11/2011 12:23

Ta Vino! It's so exciting :) It makes sense though, just look at animals, when the females are fertile they show it physically (nipples etc) and they actually allow the ment to do their thing! I do think it's amazing how our bodies work!

For Christmas this year we are going cheap. We are going to make redcurrant jam and brandy butter, and give a jar of each to family along with a little present. I am really excited!!

Vinolover · 10/11/2011 11:36

I would say Yorkshire that you have definitely O'ed! I am always more up for it around my fertile days and my nips get very tender also. I used to get that when I had the Mirena in aswell! Hope you've managed to catch it :)

Im on CD6 and fed up! Doesn't help too much that im hungover. At least I have an excuse not to drink for a while Wink. I've just got myself some conception vits, just hope to God they don't upset my tummy too much!

I have been doing bits of xmas shopping. I love it! Amazon is my best friend!! We're going to my brothers and his GF house for xmas. We'll be there from when I finish work on xmas eve to boxing day and my parents will be there also. It's going to be nice a chilled :)

YorkshireTeaAddict · 10/11/2011 11:05

Hello!! :o

Good news (for me): My nips were terrifically sensitive last night and this morning which NEVER happend whilst I was on the pill. Dr Google said that it's a sign of ovulation. Plus, I was as horny as a devil 'up for it' all freaking day yesterday and (sorry Blush) again today!! All good signs for OV I think! Fingers crossed!!

Fish and Minky I read that is can take up to 14 days for the fertilized egg to shimmy over and implant and of course you don't produce the hormones that pg tests like until implantation occurs. So, Minky, if you were to POAS this weekend and it was a BFN, it could be a BFP next weekend. When is AF due?

Lots of love and too much information xxx
