Bosco sorry you got a BFN this is my first month of ttc this time round but i can remember that feeling of dissapointment well when i was trying for dc3.

Cauldron I was also planning to be laid back about ttc but its already starting to take over my life. I am very worried about the fact that dh works nights so we dont get much time for passion even when not ttc. I am going to try and hold out until after christmas and if we have had no luck then i will also be investing in some opk's.

It has driven me mad knowing that ovulation is supposed to be sometime this weekend, but not knowing exactly when. I'm going to have to buy a couple of opk's I think especially as dp went to the pub last night when I'm pretty sure we should have been having swi

Thanks Cauldron Been trying two months but this was my first POAS. We were at a wedding yesterday and there was such a beautiful little boy and girl dancing and we were goo-eyed looking at them..I nearly stole one!

In all the years being with DP I never had a scare, I POAS once and it was positive...this has really hit me badly, I know that sounds foolish but it has..And Im sure I can feel the familiar pains starting so...never mind theres always next month!

Clandy I see your point exactly - like it is anyone's business whether DC are planned, or a surprise! To add to the potential negativity DP and I have been together months rather than years, so my pov is why invite comments on something that is only our business...

Vino- I am ttc number two and everyone says you love number 2 just as much but it is a worry for me cos dd is perfect (not biased or anything ) also worry that it will be hard for dd to adjust to sharing me and OH and that sometimes she might have to wait for things or share... Seems silly writing it down like that but I would never put her in a situation where she may be unhappy and now I really want to iyswim.....

Cup- I have told no one Sis knows but she is on mn ad knows my name so would know anyway!! I am also not married and think it invites people to ask you if it was planned or not when you announce.... But it's not anyone else business

CD 12, OPK's have all been negative so far so not wasting any baby juice . Hope all of you are doing well

Well I just POAS and despite the fact that AF is late (ok by a day, but it counts!) BFN for me. I never felt that dissapointment before.

CAULDRON Last christmas i came off the pill for 3 months and i noticed then that half way through the month i got stomach ache almost like period pains after a few days it would go then about 10 days after that AF would turn up. I think this was when i was ovulating does this sound anything like what you are getting. This is my first month of ttc so have not looked for it yet, i have never been very good and trying to keep up with what my body is doing.

Hello not read whole post yet but I shall set it as bed time reading as I must dash and clean the kitchen while dd has a nap!! Any way....
I came off pill at end if June to ttc, then a job thing came up and had to wait. Af was due 3 weeks ago but have decided to resume swi on the off chance I get lucky!!

Does anyone feel it when they ovulate?

I'm on month 1 of trying and have never kept a check of my cycles (although they have certainly seemed regular). If I'm 28 days I should be ovulating today.

I can feel a sort of twinge across my lower stomach constantly. I have never noticed ovulation before, but then neither have I been looking.

Could the twinge be ovulation?

I also have the (usual) uti so I'm wondering if its related to that, although its a different "pain" than usual...

Sorry to hear that, horseylady. Have you been to your gp about it at all over the 12 months? Mind be worth getting checked out...

Pretty sure I'm joining you next month!! AF here though very light....will see how long it lasts....also still lots of cramping and vvvv sore boobs had a lecture off the mother saying I now need to speak to the GP about it all....guess she has a point!!

Zinc is meant to help male reproduction and similar benefits for the woman. We were ttc for nearly 6 mths with dd and the month DH started taking zinc I fell pregnant. Could very well be a coinscidence but im trying again with it anyway.

Everybody (apart from inlaws) know we are trying because I was just so excited about it. Also my job can be quite physical so it will help if those close to me at wok know.

Cherry, my other DC are 10 and nearly 7. I almost feel like it's my first again it's been so long!

AF means 'aunt flow', so your period basically :)

Im still waiting for a positive on my OPK :( Seems to be taking forever!

oh, I think zinc has a positive effect on your egg formation or something and on sperm quality. I think someone told me that upthread.... can't check now as am late for work!! (Roll on half term....)

Its funny how people think they can comment on you ttc isn't it? If/when I fall pregnant I'm actually planning on letting my work friends and colleagues think its a surprise. Daft I know but I also know EVERYONE will have an opinion on it...

I'm taking folic acid. Not heard of taking Zinc though - what's the benefit of that?
