Hey guys!! Have taken the big step of coming of the Pill to TTC another DC. This will be DC number 2 - already have DS who is 15 months old and a DSD who is 7 years. We have spoken about another baby for a while now but it has now become more of a reality now that we have decided to stop using any contraception!! I am so so excited but know all too well about this horrible waiting game of patience which seems to get worse even after a BFP as then it's the painful wait for a 12 week scan!! (although this time I may pay for a private scan) I have had a MC before DS was born so am also aware of not getting to ahead of myself...but I'm so excited nonetheless!! I bought my friend a little present for her brand new (with tags on) baby girl and was so so broody. Cant wait for my turn now!!

Sorry for the long warbling post. This is such a hard time, the pre TTC, the waiting for BFP or BFN etc etc...I am the most impatient person in the world as it is...and to not to be able to tell anyone in RL makes it even harder!!

Hope there will be some ladies in the same boat as me!! Look forward to meeting u and sharing journeys!!

Lots of love, Pip xx

Kirrin how exciting, have my fingers crossed for you.

Fish I know from my sister and friends that they found the first 12 weeks tiring, the second trimester is when the great skin and extra shiney hair kicks in, not too long to go.

I've spent the evening with Strictly and XFactor drinking red wine and eating dark chocolate. From tomorrow I'm going to give up alcohol and caffine so I'm going out with a bang tonight.

I'm a total tea addict but determined to go caffine free, is decaf ok or do I need give up tea completely? Not sure I can do that. Is there a limit to the amount of decaf I can drink or are my usual 8-cups ok?

kirrinIsland · 12/11/2011 21:02

minky that is when I got it most - perhaps a good sign:)

MinkyMoodles · 12/11/2011 20:54

Hmmm, I never usually get it (acid), so was hoping wondering if it was an early pregnancy symptom!!

kirrinIsland · 12/11/2011 20:45

I'd love to put a photo on facebook but I have a brick of a phone so I'll have to dig the camera out - can't do it tonight though cos it's in the bedroom where DD is asleep. Will see what happens tomorrow....

fish you are welcome anytime for HP DVDs - I've gone for order of the Phoenix.

cup DP has an Arabic restaurant. He mostly just oversees it now, but he used to cook, and now does all the cooking at home :)

minky I get acid indigestion occasionally - it's horrid :(

secret still got my fingers crossed for you

Fishpond · 12/11/2011 20:23

Minky yes!! I've had it several times the past 2 weeks and only ever had it twice in life before then. Having some now in fact.

MinkyMoodles · 12/11/2011 20:21

OMG fab news Kirrin woo hoo. Got everything crossed!

Fish hope Gma is getting on ok in hospital, it's tough when she's just waiting to find out what they're going to do.

Well DP has just cooked a fab curry, so I'm stuffed, settled on the sofa with my furry kids with X Factor while DP has sneaked off to play COD!!

Sparkle onwards & upwards but hoping she's not made a proper appearance and it's you know what Wink

Anyone suffered with acid indigestion? I've had it several times this week and twice today :(

Fishpond · 12/11/2011 19:27

Kirrin!!!!!! Hurrah!!!!

And please invite me over for the HP DVD fun!

CupOfBrownJoy · 12/11/2011 19:23

oooooh kirrin how exciting!!! Could we have yet another graduate amongst us? Grin

Let us know how you go tomorrow!! Fingers are crossed for you....

What kind of restaurant does your DP have? Does he cook?

kirrinIsland · 12/11/2011 19:10

OMG - I just had a complete lapse of willpower and poas - a first response, no less - and I swear there's a line. It's very faint though so I might be imagining things. I'm going to do another one in the morning with FMU and try not to get too carried away in the meantime.

cup the odd glass of wine won't hurt :) I spent my afternoon in DPs restaurant, watching him work while I drank coffee and entertained DD :)

fish hope your gma is feeling ok, glad you've had a good day.

DP is at work again tonight so I might settle down with a Harry Potter DVD and a non-alcoholic beer - man, do I know how to have fun Grin

Fishpond · 12/11/2011 18:24

Secret perhaps he is disappointed too that you haven't had a positive yet and he's taking out his frustration? I'd be taking my pee sticks to work Grin

Just got off work, had a pretty good day actually, a rarity! Now off to hospital to visit gma, hopefully they will have made a decision by this weekend about what to do regarding surgery. Getting tough going up there every day. Going a little earlier today though so will treat myself to a lovely (non-scalding) bath and then get an early night, up again for work tomorrow early.

Cup the evening treat sounds nice Grin

What's everyone else up to?

CupOfBrownJoy · 12/11/2011 16:59

Evening Secret... I'll be whiling away the evening hiding in a corner of the restaurant, surfing the internet for romantic holiday cottages for our honeymoon in Scotland. When DP finishes work we'll jump in the bath for a Saturday evening treat.... tmi! Grin

I'm trying to decide whether to have a glass of wine. November was meant to be a dry month, and I was doing well (but finding it hard) until last night when there was a big party in the restaurant. I was accused of being "boring" and given a glass of red.... either I'm too easily led or I'm hanging round with "enablers"! Smile

What is everyone else up to? x

Sorry secret :( - but it's not over yet....

fish I was exhausted first time round, I did nothing but work and sleep for about the first 10 weeks or so, but after that it was fine again, so hang in there - and it's all for a good cause :)

cherry forgive me, I lose track a bit on this thread it moves so fast - are you using opks? I'm not really sure of my cycle length either so I started testing as though it was 28 days and just kept going - got a positive much later than expected so it will actually be about 34 days. Next month I shall do the same. Costs a lot in opks but is better than missing it Grin without opks I'd have no idea!

I think I'm out for this month too. Af is due soon and I feel like it's definitely on it's way :(

cherrypiew3 · 12/11/2011 09:45

Well that's me out for this month AF showed up late last night.Sad
I am ok about it though justConfused normally have a 32/33 day cycle checked my diary and AF should of been due 14/15th not the 16th like I thought but that still makes AF 4 days early. So what do I do about next months cycle do I go with a 32/33 day cycle still or 29 days which this one was. I really have no idea what I am doing.Confused

Secret sorry it was a BFN

Minky and Kirrin How are you ladies doing?

Fishpond · 12/11/2011 09:13

I'm just so exhausted, it's really getting to me. I've never minded working the early shift before but the last week and a half has just been hard. Not feeling any sickness yet.

Pants on the BFN Sad but sounds like you're going to have a nice day!

Clandy won't it be exciting to go for your scan Smile

I have a doc appt next Wednesday but it's just to confirm the pregnancy (yay more peeing on sticks Grin) then I get to go apply for free healthcare since I'm pregnant. So I wont have a "real" appointment yet for at least another 2 weeks. I am planing to tell them last AF was oct 15, which will put conception date at the 29, which it was. I think my due date will be the 21st July.

I would love if someone could update the list with regard to where we all are, I want to know who still has a chance this month and when some others can resume the SWI Grin

It's freezing here so I'm trying to warm up with a bath before work..except the hot water ran out quickly Sad so off I go.

Yorkshire, Vino, Cup how are you guys doing?

Clandy · 11/11/2011 21:22

Haha! Hoping they don't say that to me!!! I am currently lying in bed after throwing up tonights tea Sad was hoping this wouldn't happen- maybe that my body would be used to pregnancy or something!! No such luck

kirrinIsland · 11/11/2011 20:10

secret I admire your willpower, and FWIW I think you are doing the right thing. Getting a bfn is so disappointing, so waiting a day or two more can't hurt and testing every day may just mean more disappointments before you get your bfp. I wouldn't be able to help myself though Grin

clandy a friend of mine was ttc but hadn't had af since her son was born. Started feeling a bit sick so did a test and got a bfp and of course had no idea of her dates but had got morning sickness first time round quite early, so thought she was probably about 5-6 weeks. They sent her for a scan and she was 14 weeks Grin
I was so sick last time, I would love to get to 14 weeks and not know, but with my poas addiction there is no chance of that happening :)

I've just got DD to sleep, so now I'm heading downstairs for some tea, and some Telly - DP is at work so I can watch whatever I like :)

Clandy · 11/11/2011 19:50

That wasn't selfish at all!! Smile everyone is here to listen and to talk about others experiences!!!

Well my last period was 31st august but i think I'm only 5-6 weeks so me and midwife settled on middle ground but will most likely change once I have dating scan. She was great though and said I know best but didn't want to leave it too late incase there is a problem and I actually am further on!!

It's awful getting bfn though isn't it, esp when you see the words "not pregnant" staring you in the face! But it will happen and you sound to be helping it along as best you can with no booze ect...! Fingers crossed for your very soon bfp!!
