Hey guys!! Have taken the big step of coming of the Pill to TTC another DC. This will be DC number 2 - already have DS who is 15 months old and a DSD who is 7 years. We have spoken about another baby for a while now but it has now become more of a reality now that we have decided to stop using any contraception!! I am so so excited but know all too well about this horrible waiting game of patience which seems to get worse even after a BFP as then it's the painful wait for a 12 week scan!! (although this time I may pay for a private scan) I have had a MC before DS was born so am also aware of not getting to ahead of myself...but I'm so excited nonetheless!! I bought my friend a little present for her brand new (with tags on) baby girl and was so so broody. Cant wait for my turn now!!

Sorry for the long warbling post. This is such a hard time, the pre TTC, the waiting for BFP or BFN etc etc...I am the most impatient person in the world as it is...and to not to be able to tell anyone in RL makes it even harder!!

Hope there will be some ladies in the same boat as me!! Look forward to meeting u and sharing journeys!!

Lots of love, Pip xx

I don't see why people would criticize someone for buying OPK's 'too early' Confused They are extremely helpful, although they don't work for every woman - I'm starting to wonder if/when they were positive for me - I shall continue on testing next few days as I possibly won't ov til Fri/Sat.

Yes, did the AI last night, although it took longer to get from his place to mine than I thought it would at that time (traffic was weirdly horrible for a weeknight?!) so I literally got home and it had been the 15-min liquefication process so I threw open the door and practically ran to my bedroom Grin

Just did a cheapie OPK and it's neg, but planning to use a better one with SMU at around 9am (in 6 hrs) as that's when I've had the clearest lines so far.

Cauldron how did your evening go? Is the UTI clearing up at all?

Vino I'm not entirely sure how the OPK's are meant to work, I just know I'm far too obsessed organized to only test once a day [hgrin] How was the night off?

Wanna Sad that DH is gone, but absence makes the heart grow fonder?! How long 'til he's back? Do you reckon you've ovulated at all, have you had any signs?

Secret Breathe in, breathe out Grin I think all of us are a teeny bit psychotic. I am analyzing ever small twinge and symptom although most of it last few days has been gas Hmm

Thanks for that, looks like I'm just going to have to wait until Saturday then and see what happens.

Why does the 2ww always feel like 2 months?! It's the longest 2 weeks ever!

Grin fishpants, you are very prepared now, I am definitely going to get some OPK if nothings happened by Christmas.

Off out today in my lunch hour to buy Zinc, as recommended on here.

Hope you all have a good day ladies Smile

Vinolover · 27/10/2011 08:11

Good morning :)

Good to see you're well stocked up fish. I got it all wrong this month with my opk. I thought you had to poas the same time everyday (ie morning) and when you got your smiley face you didn't have to do it anymore as there was no need. Next month from day 10 I think I'll be doing it twice a day until I get my smiley face. At least then I'll know Ive caught it asap! I've told DH to prepare himself Wink.

Enjoy the peace wannabe. You can watch whatever you like on the telly (guilt free) and he will be back before you know it.

With regards to sore boobs, they feel heavier (which is impressive for me as im tiny there) and the nipple is very tender. Ive had it these past few days as i've been fertile but im back to normal today - bugger! Not all women get this though. Pregnancy signs really are the same as AF signs which is annoying!

wannabemum24 · 27/10/2011 07:37

Blimey Fish, you're prepared! I was thinking about OPK's, but I am pretty sure DH wants to take the first couple of months as they come and then we'll prob move on to OPK's after 3 months.

Well, he's gone off to Barcelona so it's just me and the dog :( Miss him!! I know it's silly. It's weird though because since TTC, it truly feels like our relationship has gone up a level (in a really good way)! I think the SWI helps :) I just hope that it doesn't take too long to get pg because I don't want swi to feel like a duty!! AAAAANYWAY! Enough about that!! How are you all?

Fish did you AI?

Vino did you have a nice relaxing evening?

Cauldron did DP enjoy the attention? Wink

I had better go and leap in the shower and get ready for work, bleugh! Chat soon my lovelies :)

Fishpants · 27/10/2011 00:38

Oh and I thought about buying a basal thermometer but thought that may be going overboard! If I don't get pg this month from all my craziness I might invest in one next month as I understand you need to chart pretty constantly all month for them to work??

Fishpants · 27/10/2011 00:33

Well I'm sitting in the car park of the shop - where I just bought 34 ovulation sticks Grin Blush

In my defense - the clearblue ones were on clearance, 4 quid for 7 tests plus a free digi pg test, so I bought 2 of those. Then bought some of the cheapies as there are 20 in a pack for about same price as the bigger sticks in packs of 7.

I had enough cash left over to buy some first response pg tests which came with a free one BlushBlushBlush

So intending to buy 7-14 digi ovulation tests, I instead have 4 pregnancy tests and 34 ovulation tests!

Now I can POAS for the rest of my cycle twice a day if I feel like it Grin

Caffeinefiend · 26/10/2011 23:00

Wow..A girl stays offline for a little while and suddenly everyone is FB friends and I feel like the unpopular girl at a party! [henvy]

Only teasing in case anyone actually thinks I'm a moody cow :)

Fishpants I think your name is funny...whether you mean US pants or UK pants!

Tequila as far as I know some of the early signs of pregnancy are very much like the warning signs of AF...Sorry not to be any more help.

Fishpants · 26/10/2011 22:52

Bahahahaha @ ringtone.

I never get sore boobs so can't be of help, Tequila sorry. I am really hoping to have some in a few weeks though as maybe that will be my first pg sign!

I am now thinking maybe I won't even ovulate for another 2-3 days, I did a load of those 'ovulation calculator' things via Google (must have done at least 10 different sites) and they all predict O-day as the 29th October! Confused

Ah well, still planning AI in a few hours, then again in 2-3 days. Really really really hoping it works first time round but especially with my lack of CM I'm not very positive.

wannabemum24 · 26/10/2011 22:36

Hi Tequila

I get v tender boobs when AF is due and they are sore to touch and when I take my bra off, as, i too have surprisingly ginormous larger boobs. I don't know what it is like during PG though...Sad Sorry I can't be much help!

I don't know why, but I just had the urge to buy a new ringtone and assign it to play when my DH calls...anyone know that song "I'm horny, horny horny horny..."? Note to self: make sure phone is on silent when at work and at parents'.

Tequilamockinbat · 26/10/2011 22:01

Evening ladies, sorry I'm not posting very regularly on here but I'm very busy at work and don't get a lot of time to check thread.

Anyway, can anyone explain tender boobs to me please? It may sound like a stupid question but I'm not really sure what I'm looking for Blush

As I've said previously, AF is due on Saturday. When I took my bra off tonight and my boobs fell (they're very quite large!), they did hurt. But I'd never noticed until then.

Would they be hurting all the time? Even with bra on? And is it too early, if I was pg, for this to be a symptom? Could it be AF?

Sorry for so many questions, it's been 14 years since the last time, so I've forgotten everything!

Vinolover · 26/10/2011 21:20

wannabe, that post has really made me giggle! Yank on his todger, lol.

Mmmmmm, a glass of wine and a bubble bath... Very tempting!
Night ladies. Xx

Fishpants · 26/10/2011 21:11

I, too, will sign off for a bit - going to obsessively read about OPK's again and really try not to use one this afternoon. Will report back in the morning, which will be early afternoon for you lot tomorrow! Happy swimmy thoughts to all but Vino - to whom I'm wishing a teeny glass of Wine and a bubble bath for her night off [hwink]

wannabemum24 · 26/10/2011 21:08

Right ladies, I am going to sign off for a bit, am getting looks from the DH! Will be check thread before bed, always on FB! Chat tomorrow if not later. Lots of love and positive, strong swimming thoughts ;) E x

wannabemum24 · 26/10/2011 21:06

Fish, your donor must be loving you!! A guilt-free reason to yank on his todger?! Most men would love that. And, re what you said earlier about after 3 months etc etc...you are right, sex could complicate things.

Vinolover · 26/10/2011 21:05

Am I the only one with a night off? Wink DH skipped out the door to the pub lol. Think the poor man is worn out!

Have a good evening ladies.

BTW wannabe, I loved that ad!!!!!

Fishpants · 26/10/2011 21:03

Hahaha night Cauldron! Hopefully UTI won't stand in the way too much. A guy that sings and plays guitar, huh? Maybe I could trade in this being single lark...

I have another 6 hours until donor is off work to go and collect spermies! Really hoping I've O'ed today or will do tomorrow. Stressed a bit but trying to relax as I know stress isn't good for the process.

wannabemum24 · 26/10/2011 21:00

Have a nice evening Cauldron! I am waiting DH to make his move :p!!!!

wannabemum24 · 26/10/2011 20:59

Oh, Cauldron, Fish and Vino I didn't spam you on FB, that is a truly entertaining advert :)

CauldronOfBrownJoy · 26/10/2011 20:58

ok I'm going to have to go as I've promised DP some attention...

Oooh he's got the guitar out, I'm gonna be in for some loving tonight!!

wannabemum24 · 26/10/2011 20:58

Oh cool, Cauldron Are you enjoying it?

Fishpants · 26/10/2011 20:55

And I discovered Mumsnet by being a nanny in England for 4 years. So I think organically Mumsnet is UK-ian.

CauldronOfBrownJoy · 26/10/2011 20:53

Well I am English, if that counts for anything, but have been living here since January...

wannabemum24 · 26/10/2011 20:51

Oh wow! I didn't realise that MN was so diverse! I honestly just thought it was a UK site. What a plonker!

CauldronOfBrownJoy · 26/10/2011 20:50

I'm in Germany... DP is German!
